“Hey, what’s wrong?” I held her face in my hands so I could wipe away her tears.

“I’ve ruined everything, I’ve come between you guys. I should leave.”

“You.” Kiss. “Are not.” Kiss. “Going anywhere. He will get over it.” She nodded as she pressed her face against my chest. “You wanna have a lie down?” She nodded again. “Come on.” I led her towards my bedroom and we climbed on the bed together. She was back where she belonged, in my arms.

“I’m sorry, the hormones have me crying all the time recently.” She explained.

“Tell me more about the pregnancy and our baby.”

“I like the sound of that. Our baby.” She smiled. “Well, I’m fourteen weeks pregnant, the morning sickness has just about gone. I was lucky really, didn’t suffer too badly. I’ve been tired a lot but feeling much more energised these last couple of days. I’ve been told my energy and appetite for certain things will start to increase.” She looked up at me smiling.

“Oh, yeah? Like certain foods or something?”

“No.” She giggled. “My appetite for you.”

“Oh, really. I think I’m going to enjoy this. I may have to keep you constantly pregnant.” I winked at her. She laughed and I missed that sound. Everything was going to be great, I could feel it.

  Chapter 27

  Bonnie

It had been a crazy few months, I had moved in with Joseph, told Mum and Dad they were going to grandparents and although they both agreed that they were too young, they were happy for me and got on great with Joseph. Matt decided to come to terms with the fact that I was carrying Joseph’s baby and decided to stay. Also, Jamie-Lee had moved in with us temporarily until she could find somewhere more permanent.

I was now twenty eight weeks pregnant and felt like I was the size of a house. Jamie-Lee was thirty six weeks pregnant and all she had was a bump, a large one but from the back you couldn’t tell that she was pregnant. We had insisted she stay with us so we could help her through her pregnancy and also, once the baby arrived, she would need an extra pair of hands. It was great having her around, to go through this with someone else too. We had Matt and Joseph running around after us, catering to our every needs. Joseph said he knew this baby was going to be a handful as I always woke up around three in the morning wanting ice cream and Joseph, the sweetheart that he is always got up to get it for me.

“How’s my girls?” Joseph asked as he stepped in behind me in the shower and placed his hands on my tummy. In the mornings, as soon as he would talk, our little one would start moving around. She already knew the sound of her Daddy’s voice and he loved when she was awake as she would push against his hand if he had it in the right place.

“We’re fine. Where did you get up and disappear to this morning?”

“For a run, we have a fight this afternoon.” He started kissing my neck and my libido jumped.

“Oh? Well, I had better do my bit to help then.” I turned around and dropped to my knees, carefully. I was ok getting down there, it was the getting up I would have trouble with. I ran my tongue from the base of his hard cock to the tip, then took him fully into my mouth. I heard him gasp and he placed both of his hands on the tiled wall behind me. He pumped his hips towards my mouth a few times before pulling away.

“I don’t want to come in your mouth. Stand up.”

“Sorry to spoil the mood, but I’m gonna need a little help.” He grabbed my hands and pulled me to my feet. His lips were on mine instantly, his tongue tangling with mine. I could never get enough of him, I didn’t know how I was going to wait the recommended six weeks after giving birth.

“Bend over and place your hands on the wall.” I loved it when he told me exactly what he wanted me to do. “Mmm, you look good like this.”

“Good?” I threw over my shoulder.

“Sexy. I’m going to miss this.” He said placing his hand on my tummy.

“Oh, don’t worry, it will be sticking around for a bit, it just won’t have a baby in it and then I will just be fat.”

“No, you will be gorgeous. I love these.” He placed his hands on my now wider hips. “And these.” He squeezed my breasts and pinched my nipples. “I can’t wait to taste the milk.”

“Hey, are you planning on stealing your daughter’s food?”

“No, I just want a taste and besides I won’t be able to stay away from them for too long.” He chuckled.

“Mmm, are you gonna fuck me or what?” I was getting impatient and he was teasing me by rubbing his cock up and down my pussy, hitting my clit repeatedly.

“Yes, sweetness, I am.” He slammed into me and I had to keep my arms outstretched so I didn’t fall into the shower wall. He gripped my hips tighter and his speed increased.

“Yes, yes.” I panted. “Babe, babe I’m gonna… Arrrggghhh.” My orgasm flew through me quicker than I expected. A few more thrusts and Joseph was following me, calling out my name.

  ***

“You two look cosy.” I said as I walked into the kitchen and saw Jamie-Lee and Matt talking.

“What? No we aren’t.” Matt said defensively.

“Calm down, I was only joking.” I opened the fridge to find something to eat, last night’s left over lasagne was in there so I warmed it in the microwave and started eating.

“You look all flushed.” Jamie-Lee mentioned. “Have you and my baby brother been at it again?” I smiled as I carried on eating. “That’s so not fair. I got all these hormones running through my body and the vibrator just isn’t enough.”

“Whoa, what did I just walk into?” Joseph asked.

“J-Lee is a little sexually frustrated.” I laughed.

“Sweetness, I don’t need to be hearing that. Are you eating lasagne for breakfast?”

  “Yeah, it’s so good.”

“Hey, you get the sex, I get the great food.” Jamie-Lee said pulling the fork out of my hand and taking the lasagne to the table to finish it.

“What are you girls up to today?” Matt asked. “We got the fight in a couple of hours, man.” Joseph nodded.

“We’re going shopping.” I announced, rooting through the freezer for my chocolate ice cream. “Ah, found it.”

“Yeah, we need a few last minute things for my princess.” Jamie-Lee said rubbing her large tummy.

“I can’t believe, in a matter of weeks, we are going to be overrun by girls.” Matt teased.

“Hey, you are going to take one look at her and fall in love.” Jamie-Lee teased him back. I looked at Joseph and he saw the same thing I did. Those two had a connection and I was curious to see if they had acted on it yet.

“What time are you leaving?” Joseph asked as he leant over me and stole the ice cream from the spoon.

“I’m ready when you are.” Jamie-Lee said to me.

“We’re leaving now. Call me when your fight is over?” I handed him the ice cream to put back in the freezer.

“Will do, sweetness. Love you.” He said before he kissed me. “Love you.” He said as he kissed my bump.

“Love you, too. Be safe.” I walked around the breakfast bar. “Keep those bunnies away from him.” I said as I kissed Matt on the cheek.

“They know not to go near him.” He chuckled. “Have fun you two.”

“We will.” We both called out together.

  ***

“Can we sit down for a minute?” Jamie-Lee asked.

“Sure.” We sat down on a seat in the shopping centre. “Are you ok?”

“Yeah, just feel exhausted all of a sudden.”

“I think we should go home.”

“No, I just want to grab a couple more things. Just in case she decides to arrive early.”

“I’m sure Jacob, Joseph or even Matt will be happy to pick them up for you.”

“Matt?” She asked, looking at me confused.

“Yeah, I see the way you look at each other. Is there something going on there?” I probed.

  “I’m feeling much better, let
s carry on.”

I grabbed her arm. “No, I don’t want you over doing it. Come on, tell me.” I pleaded.

“Ok.” She huffed. “I like him, I think he likes me. But this is a lot to take on for a guy.” She waved her hand over her tummy. “Taking on someone else’s baby. No, it’s not fair on him.”

  “Have you kissed?”

“No!” I looked at her, eyebrows raised so high they would disappear into my hair line. “Ok, maybe a little bit.” I still gave her that look. “Ok, maybe a lot. She goes crazy when he kisses me. Matt swears she is kicking him away.”

“No, it’s their way of bonding. Joseph loves it when she starts kicking. She goes mad in the mornings when Joseph talks to her.”

“What do you think I should do about it?”

“Talk to him. Tell him how you feel.”

“You wouldn’t mind? Because of the history between you two?”

“Hell no. I love Matt and want him to be as happy as I am.” Ring. Ring. Ring. “Oh, speak of the devil. Hey, Matt.”

  “Is Rose with you?”

“Hi to you too. No, she isn’t. Is the fight over?”

“Yeah, we are on the way to the hospital.”

  “WHAT?” I screamed.

“Sweetness, calm down, I’m fine.” Joseph reassured me as he must have grabbed the phone away from Matt.

  “Jacob?” I asked.

“Yeah, he isn’t as good. A blow to the head. We can’t get a hold of Rose.”

“Oh my God, is he conscious?” I asked as I mouthed ‘call Rose’ to Jamie-Lee.

“He is coming around now. I gotta go, can you find Rose and get her here?”

“Yeah. See you soon. I love you.”

“Love you, too.” He hung up the phone.

  “She isn’t answering.” Jamie-Lee said.

“Come on, we have to find her.” We both grabbed our bags and went to walk away when I spotted Rose. “There she is. ROSE!” I called out waving my arms. “She can’t hear me. Help me.”

“ROSE!” We both called out together and she looked up. She smiled and waved at us as she made her way closer.

“Why aren’t you answering your phone?” I snapped.

“Sorry.” She was digging around in her bag. “I can’t find it.”

“We have to leave. Jacob is at the hospital.” I tried to get her to walk but she didn’t budge.

“Rose.” Jamie-Lee snapped her fingers in front of her face. “We have to go.”

“No. I can’t do this anymore. I can’t stand by while he fights.” She sat down and refused to get up.

“We have to get there, are you not coming with us?” Jamie-Lee asked. “Aaahhh.” She screamed holding onto her tummy.

“What is it?” I asked, panicked.

“I don’t know, but it hurts.” She said rubbing her hand where the pain was.

“Has your water broke?” She shook her head. “Ok, we need to get you to the hospital too. Rose, you coming?”

“Yeah, sorry.” Rose grabbed the bags and we walked slowly to the car. We all climbed in one and I was speeding towards the hospital.

I found a space close to the entrance. “I’ll go and get you a wheelchair.”

“No, I’m fine. I can walk.”

We walked into the entrance of the hospital and I saw Matt and Joseph. “Joseph!” I called out. He looked up and when he saw the pain on Jamie-Lee’s face, they both dashed towards us.

  “What’s wrong?” Matt asked quickly.

“I don’t know, I got this pain.” She answered. I walked up to the desk.

“My sister is thirty six weeks pregnant and she has been having some pain, her waters haven’t broke yet.”

“Ok, let me get you some help. Your sister’s name?”

“Jamie-Lee.” She nodded, a couple minutes later a young man was walking toward us with a wheelchair.

  “Jamie-Lee?” He asked.

  “That’s me.” She said.

“Let’s get you checked out.” He helped her stand and move to the wheelchair.

“I’m coming with you.” I said.

“Me too.” Matt followed behind us.

“Rose, let’s take you to Jacob. He’s been asking for you.” She nodded her head and I blew Joseph a kiss as I followed Jamie-Lee and Matt.

“Are you ok, Miss? Do you need to sit down?” The nurse asked me.

“I’m ok.” I leant against the wall in the lift as we made our way to the maternity ward.

  Chapter 28

  Joseph

“He’s just over here.” I placed my hand on Rose’s back and led her towards Jacob.

  “How bad is it?”

“He’ll be fine.” She nodded and as we got to his door, we saw there was a doctor in with him. I pushed the door open and we stepped inside. The doctor stopped talking and looked at us.

“It’s ok. That’s my fiancée and my brother.” He held his hand out for Rose and she walked closer to him.

“As I was saying, head injuries are not a laughing matter, one more blow and it could be fatal. It’s time to hang up the gloves.”

  “Thank you, doctor.” Jacob said.

“When can he go home?” Rose asked.

“We just need to do another scan in a couple of hours and if that’s all clear, he’s all yours.”

“Thank you.” The doctor left the room. “No more fighting then?”

“You know I can’t stop. Ethan won’t allow that. I just have to be more careful.” Rose took a step back and let go of his hand.

“No, I won’t do this. I can’t do this. I can’t stay around to watch you kill yourself. Did you hear him? One more blow to the head and it could be fatal!”

“Babe, let’s talk about this.” Jacob pleaded. Rose backed away to the door and she threw it open and ran out of it. “Shit.” Jacob swore.

“I’ll go and find her. It’ll be ok man.”

  “I can’t lose her.”

“You won’t. Trust me, you won’t.” I walked out of the door and saw Rose standing at the end of the hall. “Rose?”

“Leave me alone, Joseph. I’m not going back in there.”

“Do you want a coffee?” I asked and she nodded. “Come on.” I placed my arm over her shoulder and led her to the small coffee shop they had in reception. Rose sat down while I grabbed us a couple of cups. “Talk to me.”

“I can’t cope. The fighting has always been a big issue for me. After what the doctor said, if he doesn’t stop…” She paused to take a breath. “I can’t lose him that way, Joseph, I just can’t.” She broke down into tears and there was only one thing that would cheer her up.

“Come with me.” I said, standing up.

“Where are we going?” She asked, sniffling and wiping away her tears.

“You’ll see.” I led Rose out of the hospital and towards my car.

  Bonnie

“Has the pain stopped?” I asked Jamie-Lee as she lay in the hospital bed. She shook her head. Matt was pacing around the room. “Matt, calm down will you.”

“Ok, Jamie-Lee, I need to check you over again. Everyone out.” The doctor said as she entered the room.

“We’ll be just outside.” She nodded and looked worried. “Everything will be ok.” She nodded again. I followed Matt out.

“You should sit down. We don’t want you going into labour too.”

“I’m fine.” I did sit down as my feet were aching. “You like her?” His head whipped around to look at me.

“What? No.” He answered, not looking me in the eye.

“Oh, so you kiss all your friends do you?”

“She told you that?” He asked smiling.

“Yeah, what’s the big deal? Is it the baby?”

“No, of course not. I’d love to be a Dad or whatever she wanted me to be to that baby. We’ve spent a lot of time together over the last few months. I think I’m falling in love with her and we haven’t even slept together.”

“You have a connection.” I stated.
/>
“Is that what she said?” He was digging for information.

“No, I see it. I know you, Matt. Why haven’t you told her how you feel?”

“Is it weird? Me wanting to be a Dad to that little girl? Wanting Jamie-Lee in my life? Do you think J and J will kick my ass?”

“No, they want her to be happy, as well as you.” I laughed. “Tell her.” He nodded.

“Now’s probably not the best time.”

“Now is the perfect time, she needs you in there with her.” The door to her room opened.

“You can go back in there now.”

“Thank you.” I said and I ushered Matt in ahead of me.

“What did they say?” He asked as he kissed the top of her head.

“My waters just broke.” She sobbed. “I’m going into labour, it’s too early.”

“No, sweetie, it’s not too early. She will be fully developed by now.” I told her. “How long will it be?”

“The doctor said hours. I’m only dilated to two centimetres.”

“In a few hours you are going to have the most beautiful baby girl in your arms. I’m going to check on Jacob. You going to be ok?”

“I’m staying.” Matt said and Jamie-Lee looked at him with love. I think that’s what it was.

“I won’t be long.” She nodded. “Call me if it all progresses really quickly.” I told Matt.

  Joseph

“Where are we?” Rose asked as we stepped up to a building not far from college. I dug out some keys and unlocked the doors.

“I didn’t want to say anything until it was all sorted. I didn’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. Especially yours and Bonnie’s.”

“I don’t understand.” I pushed the door open and told her to go inside. “I can’t see a thing. Oh, it stinks in here. Where am I, Joe?” I found the light switch and the large room lit up. “A gym?” She asked, sounding confused.

“This is what me and Jacob are going to be doing when we finish college next month.” I looked at her and she didn’t get it. “We are opening this gym, to train fighters, legally. All proper equipment, training schedules. No underground fighting.”
