Her mate laughed and stepped up to her, his hand out. “Get up, Little Wolf. I know your knees are hurting.” She placed her hand into his and stood. “I’m very proud of you, Shelly. Gentlemen, get our woman dressed. We have a breakfast to attend.” He kissed the side of her cheek before stepping back into the bathroom to get his clothes.

Three pairs of hands touched and caressed her until she was burning up. “I can’t go to breakfast like this…” She pouted as they stepped away from her.

She had on a skirt that was slit up each side, a white see-through blouse and no undergarments. Even her feet were bare and she looked down at her toes. “I need Bo.” She hated admitting it, but she knew he wanted her to ask for it.

Bo knelt in front of her and tapped her leg. She placed her foot into his hand and he slipped a satin slipper on her foot, then repeated the process with the other. “We’ll always take care of you, but for this to work, the others need to see that Argo, White Eagle and Buck are now yours as well. Do you understand?”

Bo stood and wrapped his arm around her. “You want them to see how I respond to their touch, that I accepted them?” she asked, tilting her head to the side, studying her man. His eyes held so much in them when Bo allowed her to see what he was feeling. Other times, he closed himself off, not giving away a clue as to what he was thinking, yet he was always prepared for whatever was thrown his way.

“Yes, and I promise soon we’ll take care of you, but we have business to take care of first,” Bo said.

Argo walked in front of Shelly and Bo while Buck and White Eagle flanked them as they made their way to the den house.

Bo kept his arm around her waist the whole way there and had slipped his thumb under her shirt and was caressing her skin. She knew he did it to keep her sexually frustrated, as just a small touch from him sent her blood boiling.

“I’d like to have a little Halloween gathering on the 31st. I know we all agreed to wait till this thing was over, but I want to have a private dinner for us.” She looked over her shoulder at Buck and White Eagle. “All of us, our parents, and maybe Anna—the little girl from the orphan house. I wanted to set up a dinner party for your den and the children but…never mind.”

Argo stopped and turned to them, making them stop. “Someone told you no, didn’t they?”

“It’s nothing, Argo. I can do a smaller one with just family. I even have all the decorations. I had Remi bring them to me. Jaycee and I split them up.” She laughed. “I can’t wait to show you some of them. We can start our own personal tradition. She gave me all the snakes and I gave her all the spiders.” Shelly shivered. “I hate spiders as much as I hate snakes.”

A flash of anger sparked in Bo’s eyes before he could hide it from her. “First, I think that would be a wonderful idea for the pack, and you’ll have three days to get ready. And don’t worry, so far, I haven’t seen any spiders on our new world. We’ll have the Reticulon later that night after the little ones go to bed. As for a family dinner, I like that idea too, but before you get your hopes up about Anna Buck is going to make sure she has no living relatives.” He cupped her face. “I don’t want to bring her into our home and have her ripped away from you. It would be too much.” He looked at Buck. “How much time do you think you’ll need?”

“I’ll take the file from the orphan home and go from there, and I’ll talk with Nikola. He would be able to tell if she has any family here. I’d say a day?” Buck looked from Bo to Shelly. “Can you wait that long?”

She nodded. “If it means I get my little girl, I can wait, but I am worried about her protection. Melissa and the others already know I adore her. What if they hurt her to get to me?”

“We need someone in the home who we trust and who can protect not just Anna, but all the children.” Bo looked at White Eagle. “Any thoughts?”

“I have the perfect couple. The Whitefields. They lost their son and daughter. Spending time at the orphan house would give them something to keep them busy and maybe heal the hurt. They are both very loyal to you and Shelly. He’s a former Marine too.”

“Good! Call on them after breakfast. I want them there today. Order a few of our trusted men to help them move. They now have a new home if they accept.” Bo looked down at his wife. “Is that okay with you?”

She smiled. “That is perfect. I love the Whitefields. Mrs. Whitefield has gone out of her way to make me feel welcome even in her grief. Thank you, White Eagle.”

“You still haven’t answered my question.” Argo stepped close to them and looked down at her, waiting.

“I can tell you are going to be a pain in my ass,” she snarled, hoping he’d forget what he’d asked.

“Damn right I am.” He wiggled his eyebrows as his hand slipped through the slit of her skirt and cupped her cheek. “Now, spill.”

“Aurora believes there won’t be enough time and that I didn’t have any help setting up the party, and they were right. I only know a few that would help if asked.” Shelly waited for him to remove his hand, but instead he leaned down until he was inches from her face.

“We’ll see.” Argo slid his fingers down the crack of her ass to her pussy and plunged them inside her, causing her to grab on to Bo.

“What are you doing?” She tried to get away, but Bo held her still.

“Spread your legs, Little Wolf, and let him have a taste,” Bo whispered into her ear as Argo slid his fingers in and out of her, waiting for her to comply.

If not for Bo holding her up, she would have fallen flat on her face. Shelly did as he asked and Argo smiled. “Perfect.” He brushed his thumb against her clit, sending a shiver down her spine.

  “Please.” Shelly begged.

“Perfect. She’s flushed and ready,” Argo said as he pulled his fingers out and licked them.

“Damn it, you can’t leave me hanging again…” Shelly then noticed how close they were to the den house. People were standing nearby, watching the five of them. Her face heated and she glared at Argo. “Let’s go.”

“There’s no reason to be mad. These people are going to watch while we all take you, Little Wolf. I’ll be in that quivering pussy while each one of them fuck that cute ass,” Bo whispered in her ear as he swatted her butt. “Now let’s go. You need to eat.”

Once more Bo wrapped his arm around her and encouraged her forward. “I don’t want you to say anything when we get in there unless we ask you a question. Argo, do not leave her side if I’m pulled away. Once we inform the group about this arrangement, word is going to spread. White Eagle, you get to the Whitefields when we get in there and inform them of the situation, then get back to us. Buck, you will get Little Wolf a plate of food and make sure she eats it.” Bo glanced down at her, giving her one of his domineering looks, and Shelly knew she was doomed.

The doors opened and all heads turned to them as they stepped into the gym/cafeteria. “I don’t think I’ll ever get used to this,” she mumbled and Bo pulled her closer and led her to the front table.

As if on cue, White Eagle left them to find the couple and Buck went for the food line, while Argo and Bo took Shelly to the table. She stepped up onto the platform where their table was, and stepped in front of her, bumping her. If not for Bo’s arm around her, she would have fallen back. Argo shoved the man back and snarled. “You touched the queen. Why shouldn’t I kill you where you stand?”

The guy straightened and sneered. “She is no queen. She’s a mutt and does not deserve to be up here.”

The words were like a knife slicing through her heart. Would the den ever accept her?

  Chapter Seven

At once, Argo shifted into his cat form. With his ears back and fangs protruding, he swiped his clawed paw across the man’s stomach and was at his throat in seconds. The large leopard snarled, holding the man down as Bo stepped forward.

“I could have accepted a challenge, but I won’t tolerate an insult to my mate.”

Shelly looked up at Bo. “Can I make a suggestion?” she
asked, not knowing if it was her right to speak up or not. He turned his angry gaze on her, but he smiled and nodded.

“I’d like his help to set up the party in two days. Maybe working beside me will help? This way others can get to know me.” She shrugged. “It’s up to you, though.”

Bo leaned down and kissed the top of her head. “An excellent idea. Argo, help him up.” Bo turned to the man as Argo shifted and obeyed. “You are very lucky I’m in a good mood. For the next week, Carl, you will be working with my wife and one of us. I know you’ve been waiting for placement. From now on, if this week goes well, you will work with my mate. She has many duties and needs help with them. If you want, you can bring your wife along too. Be at our home this afternoon around 4:00.”

Everyone in the room waited as the play of emotions ran across the man’s face before he nodded. “Fine, I’ll give it one week, but I doubt it will change my mind.”

After Carl jumped down from the platform, Bo escorted Shelly to her seat, where Buck waited with a plate of food.

“Do you think he’ll show up?” She looked up at Bo as he stood behind her.

“He’ll show up. Carl is usually very levelheaded.” He looked around the room, which was almost full. “It’s time we made the announcement.” Squeezing her shoulders, Bo made his way to the podium and tapped the microphone.

The noise drew down to a whisper. Shelly took only a few bites before pushing away the plate.

“You need to eat. Bo’s orders.” Buck pushed it back and pointed at it.

She growled, but took a bite. “I’m a little nervous here, you know.”

Placing his hand on her shoulder, Buck squeezed it. “I know, but it will be fine.” They both turned as Bo started to address his pack.

The speech seemed to take hours, but Bo actually got done talking in 30 minutes. At first some had grumbled about the Shelly’s party, but when he announced the Reticulon, cheers had actually gone up. Someone had even yelled, “It’s about time!” which had made her face burn with embarrassment.

With half her food eaten, she looked up as the room grew quiet and all heads turned toward Nikola and Lissa as they walked toward the front table. Lissa looked beautiful with her long dark hair, and Nikola could give any woman wet dreams.

“You do not need to be thinking like that,” Bo snarled in her ear as he bent down, then nipped the side of her neck, and Shelly laughed.

“Bo…” She threw her napkin on the table and turned in her seat to stare up at him. “I might find others attractive, as you do, but you hold my heart and love. There is no comparison.” Shelly smiled at him.

The slight flutter inside her head told her that even this amazing man was unsure of her feelings. She stood and wrapped her arms around his waist, hugging him tight. “I love you, Wild Man. You and only you.”

The tension seemed to melt off of him and he sighed. “It seems even I have some doubts. Thank you, Little Wolf.” He kissed the top of her head, and she turned as their guests stepped up to them.

“Never doubt my love for you, Bo. When you walk into the room, my heart and soul shine bright,” she sent him through their personal bond. The twitch of his lips was the only clue she had pleased him.

“I hate to disturb you, but I wanted to inform you that Trest is not a threat anymore.” Nikola turned his gaze to Shelly. “I also wanted to say congratulations. With all the excitement last night, I forgot to tell you.”

“You mean about the Reticulon?” Shelly asked.

He shook his head and his eyes got big. “You mean you don’t know?” Nikola looked down at Lissa, who laughed.

“Not everyone has your powers, Nikola.” Lissa rolled her eyes and turned to her. “You have your wish, Shelly. I’d say you’re about a month pregnant.” She looked up at her husband and he nodded.

“I hear at least two heartbeats. It seems this entity we live on wants children born here. So far every woman who has gotten pregnant on this ship has at least two children.” Nikola kissed Lissa’s head.

“Are you sure?” Shelly looked down at her stomach, and tears rolled down her face. “I didn’t think…”

“What my wife means is she’s been afraid of hoping for this. Thank you both. You have made our day. Please allow us to inform her family.”

Nikola and Lissa nodded and Lissa winked at her.

“Tomorrow at noon, right?” Lissa asked, and Shelly nodded as she wiped the tears off her face.

“I’ll be there. Thank you.” Shelly said.

As Lissa and Nikola left the room, Shelly turned and looked up at Bo. “We’re going to have babies!” She frowned. “What if I can’t…?”

Bo put a finger over her lips. “Not a word. Think positive. I want to have our doctor look at you before we announce it, but I couldn’t be happier. You still want Anna, don’t you?” he asked as Argo slapped him on the shoulder.

“God, yes, she needs us,” Shelly said, her hands shaking against her belly. Bo placed his hand on top of hers.

“Where are you going tomorrow?” Bo asked.

“The leading women, Jaycee, Cecil, Suzanne, Lissa and a few others get together to discuss things to help each other. We have many different projects going on. I want to go visit Anna. Then I want the doctor to check me so I can go tell our folks.” She smiled, feeling happier than she ever had in her life. Shelly vowed to take every precaution to keep their children safe.

Bo looked at Argo, who nodded. “I’ll find the doctor and meet you at the orphan house. In an hour?”

Bo nodded, then escorted his pregnant wife out of the building and into the tunnel. White Eagle and Buck took up guard around them. Nothing could happen to his woman and children.

“Bo, are we still going to have the Reticulon?” she asked as they turned down the tunnel that led to the common room at the center of their compound.

“Yes, it’s for the best. We’ll need added protection for the children,” he said and she nodded.

“I’m glad.” She reached up and pulled his head down so she could whisper in his ear. “They’re kind of growing on me, but don’t let them know.” She winked at him, obviously knowing full well that Buck and White Eagle had heard her.

In front of them Buck snorted, while behind them White Eagle laughed. “I didn’t realize your woman was such a comedian,” White Eagle said, reaching out and squeezing her ass cheek, making her jump, which caused everyone to laugh.

“Did you know I was so bored the other day I made an actual doghouse?” She looked over her shoulder, grinning. “Be careful, little kitty, you might find yourself there.”

Bo laughed so hard he had tears running down his face. “Oh my God, I can’t believe you just called him little kitty.”

“Shut up, Bo,” White Eagle snarled, but he had a huge grin on his face. “And Little Wolf, I’ll show you how big I am later.”

With all of them laughing, Bo didn’t notice one of the men he knew was going to challenge him until the man was almost on top of Shelly. He would have been on her if Buck hadn’t stopped his progress.

“You think calling a Reticulon is going to save you? Well, guess again. I challenge you tonight up top,” Daniel snarled and tried to get past Buck.

“So be it, but Daniel, when you lose—and you will lose—I will expect a full apology to me and my woman. Eight o’clock at the old grounds.”

Bo stepped into Daniel’s personal space. “And if you ever get that close to my female again, challenge or not, I’ll kill you.” He was sick of the men in his den disrespecting his woman, and tonight he would make an example of Daniel.

“Fine,” Daniel snarled before turning and leaving.

“Well, wasn’t that pleasant, and what all does this challenge entail?” Shelly asked, looking up at him.

Bo flinched as he glanced at her, then at White Eagle. “We’re going to have to perform the Reticulon before the challenge. We’ll do the formal one later.”

  “What am I missing here?
Shelly looked at him, then at White Eagle.

“If Bo, by any chance, loses a challenge, his mate goes to the winner, unless a Reticulon happens beforehand. That way, you wouldn’t go to the winner because you’d belong to all of us,” White Eagle explained.

The air seemed to leave her body as she stood there processing what White Eagle had just said. She looked at Bo. “But if you lose, will we all still be a family? You’d better not lose or I’m so going to kick your ass,” she snarled.

“Really?” he said before yanking her to him. “Thanks for the vote of confidence.” Bo leaned down and bit the tip of her nose.

Smacking at his chest, Shelly glared at him. “If I didn’t think you could take him, you’d have no balls right about now for putting me and our children on the line. But that does not get you out of the doghouse!” She spun out of his arms and stomped toward the orphan house. Buck laughed as he followed her.

“Man, you are so lucky. That woman is hot even when she’s pissed at you,” White Eagle said as he and Bo followed them.

The two of them stopped at the path that led up to the orphan home. Bo had to admit that the Fey and the ship sure did know how to construct a home underground. It had two stories, windows looking out onto the commons, a wraparound porch, and even a playground set. It looked exactly like any normal house.

The only problem here was the woman who came out onto the porch, Melissa Randle. Buck swept up the stairs and ordered her to pack her belongings.

His Little Wolf stood biting her lip as she watched scene unfold. Bo slid his arm around her and hugged her. “Relax. All will be well.”

She looked at the ground and sighed. “I just hate seeing people hurt, and I know deep down that Melissa wouldn’t do anything to hurt the children, but, well, I just don’t like it.” Shelly looked up at him. “Another sign of being weak,” she mumbled and earned a hard smack on the ass from White Eagle as he came up to her other side.
