The Sorcerer of Wands: Azabar's Icicle Part 2 Page 25

by Jem I Kelley

“It’s the wand. Azabar's Icicle,” said the woman.

  Aden nodded.

“We broke it in two so it could never be used again. Not easy, needed a sledgehammer.”

The woman touched one of the pieces.

  “It’s cold.”

She had Aden’s hair and eyes, and when she looked back from the wand towards Aden it was with a gaze of love.

“I’m so very proud of you, son.”

She kissed him briefly on his head, before pulling him close. “Aren't we, Derek?”

“Yes. You were incredibly brave,” said Aden’s dad, sitting opposite. “I’m very proud indeed.”

Aden felt a wave of contentment overlap him. Bliss and he were heroes. Azabar and the ice-golem were destroyed and Haverland saved.

But, most of all, his parents had come back from Novogorad to see him, just like they said they would.

  The End

If you enjoyed the story of Aden and Bliss's adventure – I would be very grateful for a short honest review on Amazon.
