"I don't?" Cantilia answered in a small voice.
"No, you don't," William overheard their conversation and spoke in a weak voice. "If you don't come, who's going to teach us about God?"
Cantilia lips quivered, but she smiled and sighed in relief. "I would love nothing better than to stay with you. Maybe, I can finally start a new life…"
But before anyone could answer her, Collbardus squealed with delight and yelled, "It's time! The stars are in place. We are going to travel."
He ordered everyone to hold hands and move close together. "It's time to say goodbye to the Roman world. And," he added, "Whatever you do, don't let go of the hand you are holding."
There was a small rumbling in the distance and Collbardus nodded. "Yes… this is definitely it. Soon, we will be back in Ghilles Bhàins."
Dark clouds moved in again, just like they had earlier. Soon, the moon was covered and the stars were no longer visible. It became so dark that the time-travelers could not even see their own hands. The rumbling became heavier and more frequent…
"Home… Soon we will be home." The same thought was on everyone's mind as the world started to spin and twist and turn…Faster… and faster.
