“I swore to never use it again after that and I haven’t. You have to be careful because it’s possible to like it too much and people will get hurt. I actually ended up pushing the use of my gift aside all together, well, besides for personal reasons of another sort.”
Aleksander laughed. “At her request I’m sure.”
“Well, not all the time. Just when she’s good.”
“What?” I asked.
Aleksander looked over at my father and put up his hands, taking a small step back. “Do not look at me. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to be here when you explained this.”
My father didn’t seem bothered at least and smiled while looking back over at me. “Remember that trick you heard about?” He paused, expecting me to nod or something but I never would have guessed the answer. “In that state, not necessarily where you’re angry and want to bite someone, your sense of touch is highly sensitive so—think about what sex would be like.”
My eyes kind of widened and I couldn’t believe we were actually talking about this. I’ve never gotten the sex-talk from my father before. We learned on our own as we grew.
“So, wait. What would it be like for her if she asks for it?” Adele wondered.
There was another pause and Aleksander looked over at my father again with an even bigger uncomfortable expression. “Please be easy. That’s my daughter.”
“Aleks, please. The children only wish for me to share my knowledge. No harm done.” He sighed and my father looked at Adele with a growing smile. “The woman will actually obtain my senses for the time and it will feel every bit as sensitive for her as it does for me and it also makes gravity no longer an issue.”
“Well, it’s getting late, isn’t it?”
Ruby laughed louder than anyone else from her comment. “Someone’s anxious.”
“Shut up.” Adele sighed, narrowing her eyes.
“Relax.” I gave her a playful shake while my arm was still around her. “We’ve only seen the first floor.”
“How many does this place have anyway?” Darius asked.
“Seven.”
“Seven!” Troy said with his mouth hung open.
“Plus the towers.” My father added. “But those are more for just the views.”
“Well, better get started.” I approached the stairs and looked up. I could see all the way to the top of the seven levels. “Wow. Maybe we should just look for our rooms for now.” I took a hold of the edge of a stair at my level and I could feel something different. I got a slight smile on my face as I looked back at the others with black eyes and then leaped up the stairwell. I caught the railing for the sixth level and looked down. “I think we’ll stay up here!”
I hopped over the rail and looked in the first room I came to. It was large with the canopy bed raised up on a platform and a stone fireplace right across from it. I waited a few moments until they finally entered.
“What took you so long?”
“It’s a lot of stairs.” Adele took a deep breath with Rift skipping in just before her.
“So, what do you think? Good enough?”
She finally smiled and looked around the room. “It’s perfect.”
Just then, Jaylyn gasped and took Troy’s arm, pulling him out of the room. “Come on! Let’s find our room!”
He smiled and went with her and Darius looked over at Ruby, raising an eyebrow. Not a word had to be spoken. She just smiled back and left the room with him.
“Well.” Aleksander said. “It looks like you’ve got everything under control here. We’ll be going back to get your stuff sent here.”
“Today but we’ve been traveling for the last few days. You should have a day to relax. Stay with us.”
“Yes.” Adele said. “Stay with us. You can reminisce for the day until I scrounge up dinner and then you can leave in the morning.”
Aleksander and my father looked at each other and my father nodded. “Very well. We’ll stay one day but then we’re leaving. It’ll take several days to get your belongings and supplies here so we really can’t stay longer or you’re liable to run out of the necessities.”
“That’s fair.” I said. “Go ahead and settle in. We ah—need to break in the room.”
Aleksander turned towards the door first. “Enough said. We’ll happily leave.”
Adele smiled as he left and I walked my father to the door. “If you plan on using the power, don’t use it right away. Being your first time, it’ll be quick for you and she’ll probably be disappointed.”
“Okay.”
“And one more thing.” My father stopped me from turning away. “Don’t bite her.”
I laughed but also maybe a little confused. “And why would I do that?”
“Just trust me. You’re control isn’t that good yet so you’ll want to but don’t.”
“Okay. I’ll try to remember that. Thanks.”
My father smiled and started to turn away. “Be good to her!”
“Always am!”
I closed the door and walked over to Adele, looking out the window. “It’s beautiful here. I’m glad you decided to stay.”
“I’d stay anywhere you are but you’re right, I am glad we’re staying. Perfect place for the future to take place.”
She looked over and smiled. “I was hoping you’d remember my vision. This is the place, Zayden. It’s so clear.”
“And I’m here.” I said, pulling her into me. “You won’t be doing it alone.”
Adele smiled again and we kissed. “Well, since it was already the plan, let’s get started on claiming the room.”
“Gladly. Rift take notes.”
Adele wasn’t impressed and slapped my chest. “Don’t say that to him!”
“What’s the matter? It’s not like he hasn’t been in the room before.”
“You don’t need to encourage him watching us.”
“All right, Rift. Go find a new spot and take a rest. Daddy needs some personal time with his mate.” He did what I asked and I looked back at Adele to get started but she was just smiling at me in the most unusual way. “What?”
“Nothing. It’s just—you’re treating him like your son, referring to you as daddy.”
I looked over at Rift with his eyes closed and I guess I never really realized it before.
“We’re connected and I care about him. What’s wrong with that?”
“Nothing.” She put her arms around my neck and kissed me once. “It’s sweet.”
We kissed again and I picked her up to carry her over to the bed. She seemed to be very attracted to my sensitive side and seemed to be in a hurry.
“So, are we going to try it?”
“You really want to, don’t you?”
“I just want to know what it’s like.”
I wasn’t sure at first but I gave in. “Okay but maybe we won’t start out that way. My father warned me it’ll be quick the first time. This is a whole other control I’ll have to work on so tell me when you get close and we’ll see what it does.”
Adele pulled me down to her by my neck and kissed me. “I’m close just talking about it. Show me.”
I smiled and we locked lips without another word. My hands slid down the sides of her body and she anxiously tried getting her pants off without moving from my lips. I helped her with it but had to part from her to get them off completely.
Adele took her shirt off over her head while I did it and it only took seconds before she was laying naked. I smiled to the sight and took my shirt off before leaning back down and kissed her lips then started moving them down her body.
She lifted her head just a little and looked down when I kept going. “Zayden, what are you doing?”
Her voice was desirous with a bit of worry and I just smiled while I kept moving slow kisses down her body. “Relax. I want to see if I can get you there quicker.”
My eyes turned solid black and her head dropped back on the bed. “Oh, yes. Go for it.”
I smiled to her begging tone and the m
oment my tongue touched her, Adele moaned with a shuttering breath and her hands gripped the bedspread around her head tightly. She tried keeping the noise level down through it but I noticed it was hard to do. Maybe she did feel something like this.
“Zayden.” She released her grip on the blanket under her and reached down to me, tugging on my hair. “That’s enough. I want you.”
I got back to my feet in front of her with my eyes still black. “That was quick, wasn’t it?”
Adele nodded repeatedly with a heavy breath when she sat up, kissing my stomach. “Please. Don’t make me wait.”
She started undoing the front of my pants while I stood there and I couldn’t help but take notice to her anxious behavior. “Relax, Love. You’ll get it.”
“Now!” She got my pants to fall to my ankles and quickly leaned in further and took all of me that she could in her mouth. I let out a sudden moan from her doing it so quickly and had to change my eyes back before it became too much to handle.
“Think you want to just relax now?”
I leaned down to her and my eyes grew black at the same time. “Not a chance.”
We started kissing and Adele laid back on the bed while I remained on my feet over her and penetrated her body without an ounce of warning. We both reacted at the same time with a moan of some kind and I had to pull away from her lips while I slowly began to maneuver my hips into hers.
The feeling was so intense, I couldn’t take it any faster than that and looked at Adele from hearing her well desired pleasure from it. She moved her eyes to me and by my surprise, they were black just like mine but I didn’t stop. It was almost as if I couldn’t stop because the feeling was so great. I was beginning to understand my father’s concern. My mouth felt like I needed to be latched on to something but I couldn’t risk biting her.
I took to my feet and held my hands at Adele’s knees, watching where this great feeling was manifested as a better distraction. Adele’s breaths were yearning for it and I tried holding off as long as I could but she brought her hands to my hips and gripped them with a wordless gesture for more in a begging moan.
I stood with my hips still pressing into hers and had to shake my head with light words through my heavy breaths. “I can’t. It’s too good. It won’t last much longer.”
“Then end it.” Adele pleaded with her grip getting tighter and her moans longer. “You know you want to. I want you to.”
I gave in to her demand and started thrusting my hips harder into hers. Adele’s moans got quicker and louder from it and I couldn’t keep it going much longer. The feeling of it all with these new senses and the sounds of her vocals caused me to erupt almost uncontrollably with the sudden release of pleasure.
I couldn’t even stay on my feet. My presence left her body after the final moments and I rolled myself to her left, laying back comfortably on the bed. “Oh, shit, it’s never been that good.”
“I’m looking forward to our long and happy future.”
“It’ll have to be like that all the time then?”
“Well, it makes normal sex obsolete, don’t you think and you’ll have to practice so it can be longer.”
I let out a long breath and looked up at the canopy above us. “Practice. That’s going to take a long time.”
Adele sat up with a smile and leaned over me. “That just means we’ll get to do it a lot.”
“It seems to take a lot out of me, you know. I don’t know how much a lot will actually get to be. Was it like that for you?”
“You really think you have to ask me that?”
“Well, I’m not sure. You were like me.”
“What do you mean?”
“Your eyes.” I brought my hand up to her and gently grazed my fingertips under her right eye. “They were black.”
“Were they? Well, your father did say the woman obtains the senses for the time.”
“Well, yeah but I wasn’t thinking of it like that.”
“Well, I’m just glad it didn’t stop you.”
“I couldn’t. I didn’t want it to ever stop but it had to.”
“It’s okay. It was more perfect than ever.”
She leaned down and gently kissed my lips. I was exhausted. I could barely kiss her back and all I wanted to do now was lay here with her. My energy would have to come back to me on its own, whenever that would be.
Chapter 35
Jaylyn
We spent the day on the first floor in the open lounge and could see all the way up four levels of balconies. It was so beautiful here and easy to get used to. It kind of seemed like we already were. We were sitting on various couches and chairs while several side conversations were going on.
“Has she mentioned anything to you?” Izin asked quietly.
Aleksander glanced over at Adele and shook his head. “No. It’d probably still be a few years before she’d see anything on her own.”
“You sure?”
“Positive.”
I slipped away from a conversation and dropped myself down between them. “Have you asked her?”
“Excuse me?” Aleksander asked.
“You’re talking about the seeing the future thing, right?”
Aleksander and Izin shared a look. “Maybe.”
“Well, ask her. You might find out something interesting.”
“A-d-e-l-e!” Aleksander bellowed in a deep voice, dragging out the letters of her name.
She turned her head to him and watched me get up and sit back down next to Troy. “What did you do?”
“Nothing.”
“You’ve had a vision?” Aleksander asked sharply.
“Okay, maybe something.” I admitted.
Adele sighed. “Thanks.”
“Well?”
Adele looked around at everyone and Zayden just smiled, putting his arm around her. “She dreamt about our son.”
“When was this?”
Adele looked at Zayden and he motioned his eyes for her to answer. “Ah, well, I’ve been having the same dream for a while, even before I officially met him.”
“But Madam Carla told me you probably wouldn’t have gotten your first vision until you were twenty-five.”
She shrugged. “I don’t know why. It just happened.”
“Have you seen him?” Izin asked Aleksander.
“Not officially but I’ve heard.”
“Would you like to?” He eyed the room, kind of suggesting that he wouldn’t mind seeing it again.
“This really shouldn’t become a regular thing.”
“Oh, come on, Aleks. You can’t keep the future all to yourself.”
I almost forgot that he didn’t want anyone else seeing the future but I think he gave in because it was Izin. “Do you have enough?”
“We’re kind of an endless supply.” Zayden joked.
“I mean that other stuff that lets us see it. Trever isn’t exactly available to provide more.”
“I think there’s enough if you want us to.” Adele said. “Let me go get it.” She got up and started to go up all the stairs to her room where her stuff was. She seemed to be in a hurry to do it. I guess because she was excited to show him off to her father that oddly hasn’t seen him yet.
It was quiet for another moment and Ruby was really hesitant to say anything with Darius next to her. “Is this something maybe we should walk away from?”
“Why?” Aleksander asked.
“I don’t think it has to be specifically for all three of them.” Zayden said. “We can keep it just on Seth.”
“All three of them?” Izin asked.
Everyone was really hesitant to answer now.
“Ours.” Troy said.
“Sons?” Izin was really happy to hear it and we just kind of nodded but Darius didn’t do anything except distance himself from the subject. “Don’t leave that out. We have to see them.”
We didn’t mean to but I think every one of us that knew how Darius felt about this looked at him but he still didn’t
respond.
“It’s fine.” Ruby said, holding one of his arms in both her hands. “We can take a more detailed tour if they do.”
“Darius, what’s your issue?” Izin asked.
“I don’t have an issue.”
Izin wasn’t pleased, probably because he knew the answer and he stood up. “Walk with me.”
“I’d rather not.”
“Now!” His eyes turned black and Darius listened, getting up to walk with him to the kitchen.
Ruby leaned forward to cover her face for a moment but was clearly worried when she put her eyes in their direction. “He’s not going to make it worse, is he?”
“How could he possibly make it worse?” Troy asked a little jokingly. I nudged him. “What? I was just saying it really can’t.”
There were a few loud crashes coming from the kitchen and everyone looked.
“Are you sure?” Ruby asked with even more worry.
“Looks like there’s enough.” Adele stepped off the stairs, shaking what was left of the herb in a vial. “But maybe only once more.”
The kitchen door opened and Darius walked out with Izin but he headed right for the stairs instead of to us.
“Missing out again?” Adele asked. He walked by her without saying anything and Ruby got up to follow. “What’s with them?”
“Why hasn’t anyone told me about this?” Izin asked.
“It couldn’t be easy to guess?” Zayden said. “He’s Darius.”
“But he married her. He has to know that it will happen.”
“Doesn’t matter. He still doesn’t want to see.”
“Are we doing everyone’s again?” Adele asked. “We’ll need their blood too.”
“I knew that.” Izin said. “So, I got his. Where do you want it?”
“Table.”
Izin walked over and held his fist out over the surface, letting drops of blood pool together.
“That should do but we’ll need Ruby’s too.”
I laughed. “And you want to just go ask her for it? Good luck.”
I spoke too soon I guess. Ruby had to know we would need hers and a dagger fell on the table from above us, sticking into the wood with her blood dripping on it.
“Got it.” Zayden said.
“Don’t you dare.” Aleksander was holding Izin’s wrist fairly tightly so he wouldn’t bring his hand of blood to his mouth. “Adele.”
