Sharing Hell (Hell Virus Book 3) Page 7

Once we had rinsed, I was surprised when he turned me around. I glanced over my shoulder. “What are you doing?”

“Washing your hair.” His fingers on my shoulders pressed down with a hint of force, enough to encourage me to kneel. The shower was a little hard on my knees, but I soon forgot that as he wet my blonde hair before working shampoo through it. His fingers were magic as they rubbed my skull, making my body simultaneously tingle and relax. After rinsing out the shampoo, he followed up with conditioner, and his strokes were slower and longer as he worked it into my hair.

Then he did his own hair quickly before rinsing mine. By that point, I was so turned on that I could have sobbed with the need for him. It was almost blind instinct when I turned in the shower, somehow managing not to fall out or trip him, so I could find his cock. I wrapped my hand around the base and angled it toward my mouth, taking him in as deeply as I could with the first bob. He moaned, his back arching as he thrust more deeply into my mouth, the head reaching the back of my throat.

My tongue swirled around him, and I rubbed the underside where he was most sensitive with the broad flat part of my tongue, making him grunt as his hips bucked forward. When a wave of salty pre-cum touched my tongue, I lapped it up before pulling away. He groaned at the lost contact, but didn’t push me to take more. He must have decided to prolong our lovemaking too.

He surprised me by kneeling on the shower floor in front of me, his mouth devouring mine. His fingers threaded through my wet hair, and mine found purchase at his shoulders, fingertips digging into his skin as I clutched him closer.

  “Lean back.”

That was an awkward request to fulfill, but I managed to scoot around so that my upper body rested against the back of the tub, and my legs splayed around him. He scooted backward, crouching down in what looked like an awkward position as he brought his mouth against my slick flesh. His tongue darted into my pussy, tasting everything, and I clutched the side of the tub, though the slippery surface provided no real traction for gripping.

Avi clearly knew what he was doing, and his tongue moved ceaselessly inside my slit, occasionally darting upward to twirl around my clit before dipping downward again to thrust inside me as deeply as he could. I bucked and thrashed against him, wishing we weren’t in the semi-slippery shower, but too lost in the throes of need to suggest that we move back to the bed. My orgasm washed over me unexpectedly, though I had hovered on the edge for the last few minutes. I cried out his name as I came, and while his mouth stopped moving, he kept his lips against me, providing the lightest bit of pressure as my climax peaked before fading away.

I was feeling boneless and enervated by the time I collapsed back against the tub, but a face full of water quickly revived me as he moved backward to turn off the stream. I coughed as I laughed, finding it difficult to breathe for a moment.

Avi laughed along with me as he helped me out of the tub, wrapping me in a thick, fluffy towel that was much nicer than the ones in my bathroom. He dried me quickly and efficiently before turning attention to himself. I admired his rippling muscles and toned body as he finished drying off before taking my hand. As he led me back to the bedroom, my stomach quivered with excitement, because I knew we weren’t done yet.

I lay down on the bed as he took the other side, digging in his nightstand for something. I realized a moment later it was a condom as he rolled it on his shaft before holding out a hand to me. I took it, at first not realizing what he wanted until he tugged me closer. When he could reach, he put his hands on my hips and swung me on top of him, wanting me to ride him. Grasping the headboard for support, I got into position so he could guide his shaft inside me. He moved carefully, finding my opening and probing it with a couple of shallow thrusts before grasping my hips and pulling me down on top of him.

Technically, I should have been the one in control, but he was still setting the pace with his hands on my hips, directing how rapidly and forcefully I bore down. We thrust together, and I circled my hips every few downward motions, further stimulating myself.

His teeth were gritted, and he was clearly having a hard time holding back. I didn’t want him to anyway. I’d already come once, and I was on the verge of doing so again, so I tightened my muscles around him, squeezing his erection until he groaned and bucked his hips. Our thrusts became more erratic as we pushed against each other, both seeking fulfillment. My sheath clamped around him as I came again, and he shouted his satisfaction as warmth filled the condom.

We remained fused together for a few more moments before I gently eased off him, and he rolled away to deal with the condom before coming back. He put his arm around me, holding me against him for a moment before pressing a kiss to my forehead.

I snuggled closer, eyes growing heavy. It was an unpleasant surprise when he shook my shoulder lightly, underscoring the fact that I had started to sleep. I peeled up an eyelid and glared at him.

He grinned at me, unrepentant. “I’m sorry to do it, but I have to leave in a little bit. One of the night guards appears to have food poisoning, so I’m taking his shift.”

I frowned at him. “You were out most of the day on a run.”

He shrugged. “Someone needs to fill in, so I have to go in a minute. You’re welcome to stay if you’d like.”

Feeling lazy, I considered the idea before discarding it. It felt strange to have a sleepover with him, especially when he wasn’t going to be there. Our relationship was too new for that level of intimacy. With a regretful sigh, I rolled out of bed and searched for my clothes as he did the same.

A few moments later, we parted at the door with a long kiss before I stepped through after he waved his electronic card. I wiggled my fingers at him in parting before he closed the door with his keycard again. I was feeling pleasantly mellow as I made my way down the hallway, deciding I’d have an early night.

It didn’t take long for a voice in the back of my mind to start nagging me as the skin at the nape of my neck prickled with awareness. I hadn’t heard anything, but was certain I was being followed. With a hand on one of my guns, I spun to confront whoever was following me. Dread pooled in my stomach, making it clench and causing sweat to bead on my upper brow, when I saw Terrence and Crowe. The smaller white guy looked nervous, but Crowe just seemed confident. I swallowed the lump in my throat and tried to paste on a shaky smile. “Good evening. Are you headed to your bunks?”

“Nah, we thought we’d visit yours instead,” said Crowe.

I frowned at him, making no attempt to hide my disgust at the idea. “Thanks for thinking of me, but I’m tired.”

“I bet it gets exhausting to bang your way through half the base,” said Crowe with mock-sympathy. “The security chief sure seemed to sap your energy, honey.”

I frowned at him. “Don’t call me honey… And have you been following me?”

He just shrugged, neither confirming nor denying the accusation. “I figure it’s our turn now. We’re fine with sharing.”

I scowled at him. “I’m not fine with sharing.”

It was his turn to frown. His friend looked more nervous than ever. “But that’s what you’re here for.”

“I’m here for the option of perhaps forming some partnerships, but I’m not here for all of you to pass around and share at your whim. I’m not the base whore.”

“Of course you aren’t,” said Crowe with a hint of a smug smile. “That would mean you were getting paid, and we’re going to get ours for free.”

My stomach clenched, and I tightened my hand on the butt of my gun, wondering if I should pull out both or just one—or if I was overreacting. It didn’t feel like overreacting, that was certain. “Let me make it clear for you. Who I take to my bed is my choice, and I would never choose either one of you.”

“Is it because I’m black?” His tone of voice and snapping eyes practically dared me to confirm his supposition.

I shook my head. “Of course not. I find you personally repulsive, but it has nothing to do wi
th the color of your skin. I’m equally repulsed by your friend there, and he’s as white as I am.”

Crowe licked his lips. “Good, that’s good. I’d hate to have to pound a racist bitch.” I wasn’t entirely certain what he meant by his words; whether he was referring to pounding in a sexual sense, or the use of his fists. Either way, I didn’t plan to stick around to find out. I drew one of my guns and pointed it in their direction. “Stay away from me.”

He ignored my words, taking a menacing step closer and not stopping until my gun was even with his chest. “Put away the water gun, honey.”

“Don’t call me honey,” I said for the second time as I finally flicked off the safety. That had been an oversight on my part, and I could only blame the fact that I was rattled.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Terrence stepping closer too, and I fumbled for my other gun. I couldn’t quite get hold of it because I was nervous. Before I could grab it completely, Terrence was there at my other side, and I settled for the knife secured in a sheath at my waist instead. I was so thankful I’d gotten in the habit of remaining armed at all times, and it had been second nature to slip on the gun holster and the knife sheath when I had dressed back in Avi’s room.

Terrence let out a howl that was somewhere between rage and pain as I slashed indiscriminately at him with the knife. I had no idea which part of him the blade had connected with, but it was enough to send him reeling away and allowed me to focus on Crowe.

With a bellow of rage, he surged forward and clamped his hand around my throat. Being several inches taller and at least seventy pounds heavier than me, he had no trouble lifting me off my feet and slamming me against the wall. Blackness nibbled at the edge of my vision, and I shook my head to fight it off. I couldn’t afford to lose consciousness now, or I’d end up raped…or worse.

The way he now held me had brought my gun against the left side of his chest, roughly centered over his heart. As he started to squeeze my neck, likely wanting to incapacitate me so I couldn’t fight him, I acted on instinct, allowing it to guide me as I pulled the trigger, and his body shuddered against mine.

One second, I was against the wall, and the next I had slumped to the floor, my buttocks colliding with an uncomfortable smack. Crowe was in far worse shape. His body just dropped, and I was certain he was dead. He couldn’t have survived being shot directly in the heart like that. I hoped.

I raised my voice to call for help, but all that emerged was a shaky sob. I scooted farther down the hall, drawing my knees up and curling in on myself as I started to rock quietly.

It didn’t matter that I hadn’t been able to yell. Feet were pounding in my direction anyway, likely responding to the sound of the gunshot in the enclosed space. While Crowe’s body had partially muffled the sound of the gun firing, my ears still stung from the sudden sharp sound, and a roaring akin to a waterfall filled my ears.

Heavy combat boots stopped before me, and I forced my gaze up, recognizing Collier standing over me. Looming was the word that came to mind, but then his posture relaxed slightly, and my fear of him faded. “They tried to rape me.” I said the words with a surprising amount of dispassionate inflection, though I was far from feeling disconnected about the whole thing. Inside, I was already a nervous wreck.

Collier crouched beside me, putting a comforting hand on my shoulder as his other hand tipped up my chin so I’d look at him. “Are you all right?”

I started nodding, but then ended up sobbing. I didn’t lean against him for comfort, because his weren’t the arms I wanted around me. It was as though my thoughts had summoned them, because suddenly Chris and Finn were kneeling beside me, one on each side, their hands on my arms supporting me as they carefully lifted me to my feet. I couldn’t choose one to lean against, so I just leaned against the wall, allowing them to hold me up.

“This one’s dead,” said one of the men who had been a few steps behind Collier.

“Thanks, Grady. What about the other piece of shit?” asked Collier.

Terrence was on the floor, and I was able to observe well enough through the haze of tears in my eyes to see him squirming around and holding a hand pressed to his cheek. That must have been where the knife got him, and cold satisfaction filled me. Too bad I hadn’t taken his eye as well.

“He’s still alive,” said Grady with more than a hint of dryness.

“I need six volunteers,” said Collier.

Chris and Finn immediately stiffened, starting to step forward. I grasped their hands, clinging to them. I didn’t know what Collier wanted volunteers for, but I needed them more than he did.

After a moment, they stepped back against me, moving in sync as though they had planned it. It didn’t matter, because he quickly had more than half a dozen volunteers stepping forward. Collier called out six names, and then nodded his head sharply at Grady. I briefly wondered why Avi wasn’t there before the fog in my brain lifted enough to remember he was filling in on guard duty.

As they marched off down the hall, Collier paused to look at me. “Are you going to be okay?”

I nodded weakly. I was feeling the emotional toll of it at the moment, and now that the adrenaline had faded, I was also feeling vaguely sick and completely lethargic, but I was going to be all right. They hadn’t succeeded in forcing themselves on me, and I was likely to be more haunted by having to kill a sixth person than by what they had planned to do to me, at least long-term.

“Very well. If you need anything, let me know. Otherwise, it looks like Chris and Finn will take care of you.”

He marched away without looking back again, following the six men who had led Terrence out between them.

I frowned as he walked away. “What are they doing?”

“Firing squad,” said Chris without the least hint of dissatisfaction with the words.

My eyes widened, and I darted my gaze back to Collier, who was now disappearing around the bend in the corridor. Terrence was already out of sight, and three others had remained behind to clean up the area around Crowe’s body, as a fourth person returned with a gurney. I looked away from the sight, not needing the gruesome reminder of what had happened burned into my retinas. “They’re just going to shoot Terrence?”

Finn nodded. “There’s no need for a trial. It’s obvious he was guilty, so he has to be dealt with.”

“Why not banishment instead of death?” I wasn’t certain why I asked the question, because I genuinely didn’t care. I shivered. No, that wasn’t true. I’d prefer to know Terrence wasn’t out roaming and targeting other people, and I’d already figured out the answer before Chris gave it.

“We have to make sure he’s neutralized and can’t harm anyone else. Plus, he knows the location of our base, and that could be bad if something happened to him, or if he fell into the wrong hands. A guy like that, who will take what he wants without permission, will happily trade intel on all of us and our lives to make his more prosperous.”

I nodded, grasping the situation. Another shudder went through me as I realized he was about to be killed. I wanted to say he didn’t deserve that, but I wasn’t sure I entirely believed that. Crowe had clearly taken point, but I had no doubt that Terrence had gone along with everything, and he would have raped me as soon as Crowe was done if he’d had the chance. If he’d do it to me, he’d do it to any other vulnerable person he came across, so it was better for everyone to have him out of the base and in the ground.

I still shuddered when I thought I heard several faint shots, since I knew what they represented.

Chris and Finn took charge, moving me toward my room. If Finn thought it was strange that Chris knew which one was mine, he didn’t say anything. Instead, he slipped his hand into my pocket in search of my electronic card. I was too wiped, both emotionally and physically, to muster much of a response at the touch, but there was definitely a slight flare of heat. A moment later, he opened the door, and I stepped inside. I still hadn’t released their hands or vice versa, so they came with me.
The door closed behind them once Finn had waved my electronic card, and then he set it on the table near the door as they shuffled me closer to the bed.

Their motions were choreographed, and it was amusing to see how they both undressed me with single-minded determination, using similar motions at almost the same time. They shared a level of synchronicity that was unexpected and seemed to be prompted purely on instinct.

When I was down to just my underwear, Chris tenderly placed a nightgown over my head while Finn pulled back the covers. I dropped down onto the mattress, curling up to seek oblivion in sleep, though it was only a temporary respite.

  ***

I woke a few hours later, feeling refreshed and far calmer then I had when I’d gone to bed. The incident with Terrence and Crowe had taken on a surrealistic, nightmarish edge that dulled the fresh terror I had experienced every time I remembered it last night. Waking up snuggled between Chris and Finn helped as well. One slept behind me and the other in front. I turned my head to see who was on which side, and my gaze collided with Finn’s. He gave me a roguish smile as he ran his palm down my flank.

“How are you feeling this morning?”

I hesitated for a moment, evaluating my response. “I think I’m all right. It was definitely terrifying, but I feel better knowing neither one of them can come after me or anyone else again.”

His palm rested at my hip, and his fingers stroked in a light circle. There was movement behind me, and Chris had scooted closer to spoon me. His arm went over my waist, and I snuggled closer as I took his hand. That moved me away from Finn, but he just followed until I was pressed close between the two of them, feeling safe and secure—and aroused as heck. “How did you figure out I was involved with both of you?”
