Robert L. Holland, promi-nent Delaware Valley auto dealer, was arrested this morning, following a joint FBI-Philadelphia Police investigation, and charged with 106 counts of traffick-ing in stolen automobiles, falsification of registration documents, and other auto-theft related charges.
"It is one more example of the fine cooperation we have learned to expect from our brother officers in the Phil-adelphia Police," said Wal-ter F. Davis, Special Agent in Charge of the Philadel-phia FBI office.
He had special praise for Philadelphia Police Lieuten-ant John J. Malone, of the Special Operations Division, who headed the police inves-tigation.
"Malone's professional-ism and dedication in a very tough investigation was in-spiring," Davis said.
Philadelphia Police Com-missioner Taddeus Czernick, who was with Special Agent in Charge Davis when Holland, in handcuffs, was brought to the Central Lock-Up in the Police Adminis-tration Building, said the arrest of Holland proved once again how effective a joint effort of federal and lo-cal law enforcement can be.
