  Damn that man.

  Chapter 16

  Roman

“Five days ‘til Christmas. You got all of your shopping done?”

I tossed my bo behind my back, spun around twice, and caught it down on one knee. “Heck yeah. I had that done last week.”

“What did you get Sage?” Kellan asked.

“You know about the one thing.” Kellan and Molly were helping me pull off a huge surprise for Sage.

“Yeah, but did you get her anything else?”

“I'm not telling you. I know you’ll tell Molly, and she’ll tell Sage.”

Kellan dropped to the mat and started doing push-ups. “Hey, we haven’t told her about the other gift.”

“That’s because I threatened both of you to keep your mouths shut.”

“And we are. Now tell me what else you got her. I’m absolutely clueless about what to get Molly.”

I spun my bo in figure eights with a toss between each transition. “Dude, you guys have been dating for how long, and you don’t know what to get her for Christmas?”

“I buy her shit all year long. Plus, she hasn’t given me any hints at all about what she wants.”

“What does she do when she’s not working?”

  “Me,” he chuckled.

“What does she do with the other seven hours and fifty-eight minutes?”

“Whoa-oh,” he laughed. “Really fucking funny.”

I couldn’t help but smirk. “Seriously, brother. What does she like?”

“Uh, she reads every night before bed.”

  “What does she read on?”

  “Um, her phone?”

So easy. “Buy her one of those e-readers, and a gift card for books.”

Kellan stopped mid push-up. “Why the hell didn’t I think of that?”

“Because you were probably trying to think of some extravagant thing to buy her when you know Molly has far from expensive tastes.”

He resumed his push-ups. “That may be, but I think she deserves the best. There ain’t nothing wrong with me wanting to spoil her.”

There wasn’t, but there was a difference in spoiling her and buying her shit she didn’t want. “Remember that ice cream maker you bought her?”

  “Yeah,” he grunted.

“You should ask her where it is.”

Kellan dropped to the mat. “What the hell do you mean?”

  “I mean, it’s at Sage’s house.”

“You’re fucking kidding me. I spent like three hundred bucks on that thing.”

“And Sage thanks you.” She had made her first homemade ice cream last night, and it was fucking phenomenal. “I actually thank you too. That was some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had.”

“Fucking unbelievable. I thought for sure Molly would have loved that thing.”

I tossed my bo up in the air and took a step forward, catching it behind my back. “Why would you even buy Molly that? Were you watching the home shopping network late one night?”

He scoffed. “Of course not. I just listen to the things she says, and then try to find some she would like.”

“So, she mentioned ice cream one time, and you thought buying her an expensive ice cream machine would be the perfect gift?”

“Hey, for your information, she squealed when she saw it and thanked me in the most appropriate way.”

  “By giving it to Sage?”

Kellan popped up from the mat and stomped off. “This is such bullshit,” he mumbled.

“I’m telling ya, man, go for the e-reader and a big ass gift card. She’ll love you forever.”

He threw his hands up in the air and strutted into the office. He came back out with the laptop and handed it to me. “Here. Find the damn e-reader and show me where to get the gift card. Will that shit be here before Christmas?”

I dropped my bo on the floor and grabbed the laptop. “Should be.” I quickly found the e-reader I got Sage and showed it to Kellan. “What color?”

“Orange. I at least know what color she would like, even if I apparently buy her shit presents.”

I added the orange one to the cart and searched for gift cards. “How much do you want the gift card to be?”

  “Two-fifty too much?”

“For a normal person, yes. But for Kellan Wright who buys his girlfriend a three-hundred-dollar ice cream maker just because she likes ice cream, no, it’s not too much.”

“Good. Then make it three hundred.”

I rolled my eyes and added the ridiculously large gift card to the cart. “Now give me your credit card, moneybags.”

He forked over his card and crossed his arms over his chest. “Last I checked, you make just as much as I do and probably saved a shit ton from the circuit like all of us did.”

“Yeah, but you guys blew all of that on houses and cars.” I entered the address to the dojo, his card number, and verified it would be here by Christmas. “It’ll be here in two days. It’ll be delivered here.”

Kellan grabbed the computer from me and nodded his head. “Good deal. What else should I get her?”

“Dude, you just spent over three hundred on her, and I’m sure you’ve got a stack of presents already for her. Chill.”

He shrugged and grabbed his duffel bag off the floor. “I think I’m gonna swing by the mall on the way home.”

I hung my head. Dude didn’t hear a word I said. “You’re hopeless.”

“Could be, or it could be I think Molly deserves everything I can give her.”

Now that was what I truly believed was the reason Kellan bought everything for Molly. “Well, just try not to buy her appliances she doesn’t need.”

Kellan gave me a mock salute, dropped the computer back in the office, and slipped out the front door.

I ran through my extreme weapons form five times, then worked on a new trick I was trying to perfect before I added it to my form. I was training hard, and I was finally starting to see a difference from where I was a month ago. My strikes were crisp, I moved with purpose, and tricks were better than ever. I was ready for Chicago.

I just wasn’t ready to leave Sage for that long. SKW had dropped the bomb on me today that they needed me down there on Wednesday for press and a photoshoot, and I wouldn’t be back home until Sunday. I didn’t want to tell Sage. Hell, I didn't want to go. Things were so good between us right now, and I didn’t want to do anything to mess it up.

It was only four and a half days, but from where I was standing, it was four days too long. I had definitely become one of the guys who bowed to the almighty pussy. And I saw the appeal of why each of them settled down.

I had found the woman I wanted, and I would do whatever it took to keep her.

  Chapter 17

  Sage

  “Don’t forget the milk, momma.”

I grabbed the half gallon and filled the glass half full.

“All the way to the top. Santa likes his cookies, and I know he’s going to need lots of milk to wash them down.”

I topped off the glass and put the milk back in the fridge. “Will that do?” I asked.

Sam grabbed the plate of cookies and milk. “Yup. He’s going to love these.”

Earlier in the day, Sam and I had made three kinds of cookies while Roman had gone to the gym to get his workout in for the day, and we had just stacked a big pile on a plate for Santa.

“Make sure you save some of those cookies for me,” Roman called.

Sam walked into the living room and put the plate of cookies and milk on the coffee table. “There are tons left. I’m gonna have some for breakfast.”

“Oh really?” Roman laughed. “Or, you could have the french toast and bacon I know momma plans on making before we open presents in the morning.”

“Can’t we skip breakfast and just eat cookies while we open presents.”

“No can do,” I replied. “You know the drill, Sam. We eat, open presents, go over to Grandma and Grandpa’s for
presents there, and then we play with your new toys the rest of the day.” Except for this year, I wasn’t invited over to Mary and Dale’s, only Sam was. In the month since they had found out I was pregnant, they were cordial to me, but not welcoming.

Roman scooped Sam up and tossed him over his shoulder. “So that means we better get to sleep, so the man with the bag can deliver all your presents.”

Sam giggled and wrapped his arms around Roman’s neck. “Can you stay the night in my room? That way, you’ll be here right away in the morning to eat and then open presents.”

“Uh, well, I guess that’s up to your momma,” Roman mumbled.

They both looked at me expectantly.

Roman had planned on spending the night in my bed, but I guess I could give him up for one night. “I suppose. But if you spend the night, you’re going to have to help me make breakfast in the morning. It’s tradition.”

“Yeah! I’ll dunk the bread, and you can flip!” Sam pumped his fist into the air. “To the bedroom!”

I laughed. “You guys head in, and I’ll be in to tuck you in.”

Roman galloped down the hallway, bumping Sam up and down on his back.

It was only nine-thirty, and Santa still needed to bring all the presents, but I figured I could take a little nap then fill up the bottom of the tree.

I turned off the lights, the beautiful Christmas tree glowing, and I sighed. Life was good, and I couldn’t ask for anything better.

  “Are you insane?”

I looked up at Sage. “Um, what?”

“All of it doesn’t even fit under the tree,” she exclaimed.

  “It shouldn’t.”

“It shouldn’t? What the h-e-l-l do you mean? He’s one little boy. You have enough presents here for a family of six.” She picked up one of the presents and shook it. “I don’t even know what you could have bought him.”

I basically bought him everything I thought he would like. Walking down the toy aisle, I filled up two carts and couldn’t help but smile when I thought about Sam’s smile on Christmas morning. “There isn’t that much.” There was, but I was going to downplay it as much as I could.

It was half-past one, and Sage and I were playing Santa Claus. Thankfully, I had woken up. Otherwise there wouldn’t have been any presents under the tree.

“Well, I guess a couple of those are for you from Sam and me.”

“And there are six in there for you.”

She looked up at me and smiled. “I guess we’re all going to have a good Christmas in the morning.”

I wrapped her in my arms, her back to my front. “We sure are, baby.”

She leaned her back and sighed. “Thank you. I always gave Sam a good Christmas, but this one is going to blow the past four years out of the water.”

“You both deserve the best.” I cupped my hands around the bump that had doubled in size the past month. “And this little guy will have it just as well next year.”

“The baby will only be six months next Christmas. I hope you don’t go as crazy with him.”

I turned her around in my arms and pressed a kiss to her lips. “You just called the baby him. We are so having a boy.”

“You’re wearing off on me. Plus, I think it would be kind of fun to have a little Roman Yeck running around.”

My fingers brushed her hair off her shoulder. “I don’t know if we want that exactly. I was a little hellion when I was younger.”

She stuck her tongue. “You don’t say.”

I shuffled back to the couch and sat down with her in my arms.

“You always seem to get me on the couch like this,” she mumbled.

“I thought maybe I could give you one of your presents right now.”

“Oh really? And just what exactly might that be?”

I grabbed her hand and placed it on my crotch. “You need to unwrap it first.”

She busted out laughing and stroked my dick through my jeans. “I cannot believe you just said that. I knew the old Roman Yeck was still in there.”

I shrugged and flexed my arms around her. “I just kept the good parts.”

“Your cheesy lines were one of the good parts?”

“They got me you, didn’t they?”

“Hmm, I’m sure I’m not the only one to fall for them.”

I leaned in and pressed a kiss to her lips. “But you’re the last one, and that’s all that matters.”

“Well played, Mr. Yeck,” she whispered.

“I play to win with you.”

She threaded her fingers through my hair and sighed. “So, are we gonna have sex or are you gonna sneak back into Sam’s bedroom like a good boy?”

“Oh baby, I am totally going to fuck you over the end of this couch.” It was time to check something off the list of all places I fantasized fucking Sage.

She scampered out of my lap and dropped her pajama bottoms around her ankles. “Ready.” She kicked them next to the pile of presents and got down on her knees between my spread knees. “Now it’s time to see if you’re ready.”

Her hands pushed my shirt up, then tugged down the waistband of my sweatpants. I lifted up, allowing her to pull my pants off and over my bare feet. “Whoa.” Her hand gripped my dick at the base, and she slowly stroked up.

She leaned forward, and her tongue slipped out, licking the head. “You got me this for Christmas, I figure I better use it, right?”

“Whenever you want,” I growled. I delved my fingers into her hair, holding it back, and watched my dick disappear in and out of her mouth. “Jesus,” I moaned. Her mouth was slick, wet magic. “Fucking take it,” I growled when I bumped the back of her throat.

Her nails dug into my thighs, and she picked up speed. With each bob of her head, she managed to go deeper than the last. Her moans surrounded me as she enjoyed this just as much as I did.

  “Shit, Sage. I’m close.”

She moaned and pinned me with her eyes, and she slowly slipped my dick out of her mouth. “Now bend me over.”

Holy fuck. I scooped her up, lifting her up into my arms, and kissed the breath right out of her. She wound her body around me and held on. I ripped my lips from hers, panting. “This is gonna be quick, baby. I’m about to go off like a rocket.”

“Fuck me, Roman,” she purred. She slid down my body and walked over to the arm of the couch. She bent over at the waist, bracing her hands on the armrest, and gave me a come hither look.

I stood behind her, my cock at full mast between us, and I rubbed it between her ass cheeks. “You need me to get you there first?”

A small moan escaped her lips, and she shook her head. The little minx had her hands between her legs and was stroking her clit. “I’ve got that covered, sexy. I just need your dick in me.”

I rubbed my hands over her perfect ass and ground my dick into her. “That’s my dirty mama.”

She looked over her shoulder at me, her bottom lip caught in her teeth. “Fuck me, Daddy.”

I thrust inside her, my thighs slapping against her bare ass. I gripped her hips, holding her in place, and slowly pulled out. “That what you want?”

  “God yes,” she moaned.

I pulled my shirt over my head and tossed it on the floor.

“I wish I could see you,” she grumbled.

I plunged back into her, pushing her into the couch. “I’ll make it worth it.” I pulled out, leaving just the tip in her. “You still playing with yourself?”

  “Yes,” she moaned.

“Get there, baby.” Normally, I liked to take my time with her, but tonight, I just wanted to fuck the shit out of her. I thrust back in, my fingers digging into the soft skin of her hip. Her fingers bumped against my dick with each thrust, driving me more insane with need.

“Oh, my God,” she moaned. Her hand moved away from her clit. “I’m there, Roman, I’m there,” she panted.

I thrust hard, burying myself deep, and exploded inside her. The walls of he
r pussy milked my dick, taking every last drop of cum.

  “Oh, my God,” she gasped.

I bent over her, wrapping my arms around her body, and pulled her up. She flattened her back to my front and rested her head on my shoulder. We both panted, and I enjoyed the feel of her body in my arms.

“If that isn’t a merry fucking Christmas, then I don’t know what is.”

I buried my face in her hair and laughed. “Definitely a merry fucking Christmas. I think we might need to make that a new tradition.” Sage was always saying this and that was a tradition, so I figured we needed to make one that was just ours.

“Having sex by the light of the Christmas tree can definitely become a tradition,” she agreed.

I hummed under my breath and snuck my hand under her shirt. “We should go to bed. I have a feeling a little boy is going to be up pretty early.” I ran my hand over her baby bump and sighed. “I have a feeling this is going to be the best Christmas ever.”

She pressed a kiss to my cheek. “I think you might be right, ninja.”

“Head to bed, and I’ll grab our clothes.”

She pulled out of my arms and smiled. “I’ll see you in the morning.”

My face fell when I remembered I wouldn’t be sliding into bed with her.

“Don’t look at me like that, you agreed to sleep with him.” She shrugged her shoulders. “I guess I’m just going to have to sleep in that big ol’ bed all by myself.”

I growled low, but I knew I had to sleep with Sam. He had been so excited while we laid in bed watching Scooby Doo on my phone. He had sworn he was going to stay awake to catch Santa, but he had been out after not even twenty minutes. “Run along, baby. You better be thinking of me while you fall asleep.”

She blew me a kiss. “Always.” She shuffled down the hallway to her room, leaving the door open.

I checked to make sure the front door was locked, ate the seven cookies Sam had left out, making sure to leave a bunch of crumbs, and chugged the lukewarm milk. “Nasty,” I grimaced. I was going to have to let Sam know Santa actually liked beer. Although that shit wasn’t any better warm either.

My gaze fell on the tree, and a smile spread across my lips. It was only a couple hours into Christmas, and I already knew it was going to be amazing.
