Inextinguishable Love: Firefighter and Interracial Romance Page 105

by Kathleen Bunker

Frank used to live with his family in Indiana but due to the irreconcilable marital difference caused by the nature of his job, Christie took little Romeo to San Francisco where she started a new life with a new lover. This left Frank’s life so incomplete, hollow, and in shambles. Frank was bemused by this major blow to his life and couldn’t just cope with the new turn that his life had taken which started affecting his concentration on duties. His boss was also a tolerant and understandable friend to him which made him not to issue a query to him but offered him thirty days leave to give him an ample time to get his life fixed.

Frank returned back to Indiana feeling so lonely because he felt as if the entire image of his wife and kid were all hovering in the lonely apartment that suddenly became an epitome of boredom, nostalgia, and melancholy. Frank was really dysphoric and generally perturbed. He couldn’t just get himself to concentrate on some positive distractions that could get his life fixed psychologically.

The forty-year old handsome, tall and huge soldier suddenly discovered that his life had been cocooned in gloom and solitude. He is a white guy with brunette hair and blue eyes. He’s a bodybuilding freak which he believes is necessary for his job.

Elsa Churchill is a twenty-five-year old girl of high repute in the modeling world which placed her on a high rank as a supermodel. She once won an award as the most beautiful girl in Georgia, but her happiness suddenly became a total gloom and regret when she was raped and impregnated by her incestuous uncle who left her life shattered in somberness. She tried her best to run away from the sleazy experience that enshrouded her life by trauma and mental torture. She first decided to stay with the nuns and live in the convent so that no one would know about her pregnancy but that didn’t help because when she got there, there were many religious rules, procedures and rigmarole more than she could keep; especially the communal prayer and counting of the beads of the rosary that were boring to her. Elsa left the convent and found her way to Carmel city of Indiana where she rented an apartment at Coventry way. Elsa was 5.7 mm tall lady, with blonde hair, brown eyes, and curvy hip. She smiles a lot until life situation turned her smiles into graveness. She was a rich girl because she’d actually started climbing to the upper part of the ladder of success in her modeling career but her unwanted pregnancy shattered her dreams and sent her into the limbo of backwardness in life.

  **Coincidence**

The evening was calm, the moonlight graced the nightfall while clemency accentuated the weather but that never stormed hope and happiness into Frank’s mind. He kept tossing in his bed and all over the large apartment trying to find solace in distractions but none of this helped. He took his time to sweep the entire room as he sought for psychological feeling that his wife’s presence could be swept away but when he saw the family portrait; a snapshot that they took when they went for the celebration of wedding anniversary in New York, it began to dawn on him that he was really far from getting that peace of the mind that he craved for.

The house suddenly became so uncomfortable to him more than he could endure. In a bid to seek for a solution that’d help, he went out to the garage and hopped into his car to have some peace but he felt as if his wife and kid were seated next to him. He hit his knuckle hard on the steering wheel as if he wanted to fight his own shadows but none provided a solution to him. Psychological darkness hovered around him, with no promise of light.

As he was doing this, his mind flashed at the great moments he had when he enjoyed the nightclub with his colleagues in Las Vegas. He then smiled and remembered that he could just visit the casino at Bright-Light nightclub where many gamblers meet, gamble and drink. Frank wasn’t bad in dancing; especially the salsa because he has a Mexican blood; his mom was of Mexican origin.

He ignited his car engine and zoomed off into the streets with a loud screech. As he drove along the streets, he felt excited, though he was just shamming it so that he wouldn’t feel the absence of his ex-wife anymore.

When Frank got to the nightclub, he was just acting flirty and greeting any girl or guy on his way. When he got to the entrance door, he smiled to the bouncers and dropped some bucks to them and said: “Keep your eyes on my Baby. You’ll earn some bucks from that”. Frank’s car was the latest V8 GT Ferrari Portofino, with a unique combination of sportiness, onboard comfort, and elegance. He calls his ride ‘My baby four-wheeled-Machine’.

When Frank entered the club, he became excited about nothing just to pretend that he was happy, but truly, he wasn’t. He went over to the bartender and smiled at the pretty girl: “hey, sexy, how you tonight?” can you give me the best wine you have here?”

The sexy Spanish bartender looked at his handsome face and smiled: “I know exactly what you want.”

“Wow,” he bellowed, “I want to hear it.”

Frank actually thought that the sexy girl was talking about some wines but when the girl shook her bums and hit the curvy butts twice, and then smiled back at him with that lewdness written all over her, he connected the dots.

“I guess I’ve answered your question about the best wine,” she said flirtatiously, “but for now, I’ll offer you Domino de Pingus, but don’t say I didn’t warn you because this wine of Spanish origin will keep your attention tied to the glass while your mind loses its soberness. Drink wisely.”

“I’m going for Domino then,” Frank said and smiled, “Domino will wipe away my tears and fears,” he thought aloud without knowing that the Spanish bartender heard him.

“Your tears?” she asked and winced, “your fears? What are you afraid of?”

“I was just blabbing,” he said smilingly and waited for the sexy girl to present the aforementioned wine.

As he waited at the bartender’s desk, he saw a sexy girl entering the bar, looking like a celestial image which got him thinking if such beauty had been in the United States, let alone in Indiana. Beauty they say is in the eyes of the beholder but Frank was assured that the girl he saw defiled that adage because even the blind could know that Elsa Churchill is a beautiful girl.

Out of surprise, his lips fell apart as he watched the pretty girl on that sexy floor-length peach-colored prom gown as she sauntered to the bartender’s desk. He also noticed that the girl looked troubled which aroused his chivalry in a wink.

The Spanish girl came back to fill Frank’s glass and noticed that he was lost in thoughts as his eyes got affixed to the beautiful girl.

“She’s a sexy damsel,” The bartender said, “Go for it, though you forgot to off your wedding ring. That’s implicating.”

“Oh, dear,” Frank said and got startled, “I really forgot that,” he quickly removed his wedding ring and hid inside his pocket, “Alas, I’m not married.”

“Then go for…” before she could complete her statement, the sexy girl was next to Frank and sat on the long chair beside Frank.

“I need Domino de Pingus,” she said and smiled sheepishly, “I need it now,” she said impishly.

“Okay, ma’am,” the Spanish girl responded.

“Wait; what’s your name, sexy bartender?” Elsa asked and dimpled a smile absently, “I like you.”

“I am Delia Adolfo,” she said, “and I like you too.”

As the girls were exchanging pleasantries, Frank was busy looking at them. He became gaping because of the sexy girl that captured his soul but he didn’t care. The beauty of the new girl got him spellbound.

“I am Frank Newman,” he said intrusively and thrust his hand for a handshake with her but Elsa looked at him snobbishly and ignored him.

“Men are synonymous with mischief,” she muttered, “Domino, please,” she said to the bartender.

In a jiffy, the drink was served to her and she took it to the VIP section and started drinking.

Elsa lately began to think that every man is the same. Her sordid experience with her uncle made her dislike men generally, even though she knew that she was committing a fallacy of overgeneralization but she preferred it that way. She was
in need of some time which would help her figure out what to do with the pregnancy.

“Hey, stop looking,” Delia said and nudged him, “Go for it, and don’t be discouraged by her unfriendly attitude. I bet she’s going through heartbreak. Many of them come around to drink their sorrows away in the bar. I have seen a lot here but this is the point she’s most vulnerable because she’s seeking someone to make her smile. Go for it, man.”

Frank felt encouraged and smiled. “You’re a darling,” he said to her and took the bottle of Domino and went to the table where Elsa was drinking. The sexy girl got her legs crossed, which exposed the smoothness of her thigh through the long slit of the prom gown. “Hey, I know I am a man but I may be the good one,” he said. He felt that what he said wasn’t in order, “Sorry, all men are the same…but I want to assure you that you’ll feel better soon.”

Elsa kept drinking, with her attention glued absently to the stripper who was on the stage dancing. Frank waited until she gulped down her wine then refilled her glass.

“Hey, I can’t remember asking for your help,” she said rudely and got up to ask for another glass but Frank held her hand.

“We can just drink together and bid each other adieu forever,” Frank said solemnly.

Elsa saw that she was about to create a scene among the large crowd which made her sit back. “Just for a drink and you take your fucking ass off my back,” she said and crossed her legs. “Fill it up.”

Frank was happy that she obliged him, so he quickly filled up her glass and filled his too. “I am Frank Newman,” he reiterated.

“I heard it before…Frank Oldman,” she humored, even though she didn’t mean to sound funny, but that statement left some smiles on her face but she stifled it so that Frank wouldn’t think that she was being friendly.

“Ha-ha,” Frank grinned, “sorry for the imp-like laughter,” he apologized. “You sounded funny and reminded me of what my girlfriend used to call me in college.”

“Where is she now?” Elsa asked and took a sip of her wine, “Is she happy, pregnant or what?”

Frank was surprised at her question which sounded as if he was being grilled. He smiled and cleared his throat: “Well, I don’t know anything about her anymore,” he answered. “What about you?”

“What about me?” she repeated thoughtfully, “Be straightforward, married man.”

Frank was surprised that Elsa knew he was married. He remembered removing the ring which got him surprised that she knew who he was.

“Married man?” he recapitulated, “I am not married.”

“That’s why I hate all men…and I keep saying it,” she faltered with an angry tone, “They all lie. Please, can we end this meeting now?” she asked and tried to stand again but Frank pinned her to the seat.

“Okay, fine,” he said admittedly, “I am married.”

“Good boy,” she voiced benignly, “so, why did you remove your ring?”

“Did you see me when I did that?” Frank asked curiously.

“I don’t need to see it, especially when a ring that has stayed for a long time in your fingers lives a print that makes its position fairer than other parts of the finger,” she said and pointed towards his finger.

It was then that Frank took a look at his finger and noticed that it was obvious that he just removed the ring.

“I’m sorry for that,” he apologized, “But I have my reasons.”

“Keep the reason to yourself,” Elsa said and smiled angrily again, “you just want to fuck me, rape me and then get me pregnant.”

Frank knew that she was really going through a lot but wasn’t too quick to start asking questions because she wasn’t in the right state of mind to answer. He remained calm and shrewd and continued drinking.

As they discussed, Elsa became tipsy and turned coquettish even to the extent that she wanted to kiss the same man that she accused a couple of minutes ago. Frank was a kind of embarrassed but he had to control the situation by taking the girl out of the club. He took her to his car and made her lie in the rear seat. Of course, he didn’t forget to drop a hundred bucks for the bouncers as he promised.

Frank took Elsa home and undressed her completely until she was stark naked on the bed. He became so seduced and tempted by the smoothness and curviness of the sexy girl. He kept tossing around thinking and battling with his conscience on what to do with her. He slowly went towards her and started sucking her nipple which the girl enjoyed but he suddenly got his senses back and rejected that seduction.

He took her to the Jacuzzi and bathed her. He took her back to the bed and put sexy semi-translucent lingerie on her. This was the lingerie he bought for his ex-wife on her birthday but she didn’t even touch it let alone leaving to San Francisco with it because she already made up her mind to get the divorce papers signed.

Elsa snuggled in his bosom and slept off into a dreamless slumber.

  **The good neighbor**

The whistles of the early morning birds filtered into Elsa’s ear nudging her to wake up to behold the beautiful face of the summer smiling down on her. The rising morning sun stormed the room through the slits on the curtain, making her open her eyes.

She got up and saw herself next to Frank in that exotic room, on the spacious classy bed. She was taken aback by that, especially seeing herself in sexy lingerie which got her imagining what could have happened the previous night. She yawned away the sleepiness of her eyes but still tried to keep herself in bed so that Frank wouldn’t know that she was already awake. She poked her pussy with her finger and noticed that she may not have had sex with Frank. As she was still trying to figure out what had happened, Frank woke up which made her feign being in a deep sleep.

When Frank got up, he covered Elsa well with the duvet because the chilly air conditioner had already made the bedroom wintry. He quickly went to the kitchen and fixed a breakfast. Soon, the egg-sandwich and Frittata were ready, with some juice to aid digestion.

As Frank was busy in the kitchen, Elsa tiptoed to the door and peeped through the keyhole. Frank felt as if someone was at the door, so he went to check out the door but Elsa was fast enough to get to the bed before he came close.

Frank fixed the breakfast and presented on the dining table, and then went to Elsa to see her lying on the bed and still pretending to be sleepy.

“Wake...wake…Meal is ready, I made it handy and I know you’re going to like it,”

“Hmm, that sounds like a song, but easy like my thong, and if I lie, let the truth escape my tongue,” she rhymed and smiled, then suddenly became serious and unsmiling. “Please, sir, what am I doing in your matrimonial bed?”

“Sorry, I can explain,” Frank said and craved for her indulgence. “Meanwhile, we did nothing last night, believe me.”

“Hmmm, someone is confessing,” she said and got up but was so shy because of the sexy lingerie she was putting on. “How did I get to be wearing your wife’s lingerie?

“Sorry, I stopped by a supermarket and bought it while I was driving down here from the nightclub,” he lied, “I knew you were going to need it when we get home; hence, the need to shop for it.”

“Hmm that sounds chivalrous and caring but why didn’t you buy pajamas instead of this? Why a sexy one?” she queried and used the bed sheet to cover herself as she slipped her legs into the furry bedroom slippers that Frank kept ready for her.

“You don’t have to drag the entire bed sheet on the floor,” Frank said, “I can give you something to wear to look more decent.”

“Fine, I think you’re really prepared and out to impress me,” Elsa said and dropped back the bed sheet on the bed. She allowed Frank to see the sexy pink lingerie which made him swallow spit with his mouth fallen apart in awe.

“Wow, you’re so beautiful from sole to crown,” He complimented her, “I’ve not seen such before.”

“Don’t be carried away, because you’re just talking to a three-month pregnant woman,” she said which got Frank shocked.
r />   “Oh, My God,” Frank said and went closer to her. He saw that tears had started raining down her cheek, “Please, don’t feel bad. I guess your hubby must be searching for you right now. But he should have called to know your whereabouts.”

“No need to worry,” she said and wiped her tears, “he won’t call and will never call.”

  “How?” Frank asked.

“Why did you bring me to your home?” Elsa asked confusingly. “Where is your wife?” She asked and looked at Frank’s face as he became grimaced. She already sensed that something wasn’t right, “I think you’re going through some things already, which was why you came to the bar to drink away your sorrows. What a coincidence.”

Frank took a deep breath and shrugged off his thoughts about his failed marriage, “I’m divorced,” he answered straightforwardly and fought back the tear in his eyes, “she left me because of my job. She took my only son to San Francisco. My son barely knows me because I wasn’t always there for them. She couldn’t just tolerate my long absence from home. Now, I am lonely in this whole apartment.”

“But wait,” she said and knitted her brow, “this place looks familiar, like the white mansion I used to admire from my window,” she said and went to the window and drew the curtain, “Holy shit, you’re the Navy SEAL soldier?”

Frank was surprised that she already knew him but wasn’t sure how he was so popular to have been widely known.

“How did you know that I am a US Navy SEAL,” he asked with utmost curiosity.

“Because I live in Coventry way too,” she answered, “I’m your neighbor but I’ll be two months in the neighborhood by tomorrow,”

“Wow, can you show me your apartment?” Frank asked excitedly.

Elsa drew the curtain and pointed straight to her house, with her window being adjacent and some meters away from Frank’s. “That’s it over there,”

“Oh, my….This is close. Meaning that you can see me naked in my room if the curtain is open at night,”
