She was grateful. When Callen didn't freak out, it took some of the stress off her shoulders.
He was right.
He had it under control.
“I love you, Callen James. You’re a sexy, sweet, and wonderful man. I’m lucky to have you.”
He kissed her.
When he’d had his fill, Callen rolled, placing her beneath him. When he let his hands run up the length of her torso, they paused over the place on her stomach where their child would be growing.
Her heart skipped as Callen stared down at his hand.
“I love you too,” he admitted. “You’re my salvation. Ethan has Charlie, and I have you.”
“I think it’s going to be a girl,” she offered. “I feel the same as I did when I was carrying Charlie.”
His eyes misted up. “Really?”
Could he dare allow himself to hope she was right? Could the man, whose life was filled with so much pain as he grew up, get this lucky?
Was he finally getting his wish?
“Yes,” she admitted. “I hope it is. I want to always give you everything that puts that exact look on your face. I want you to feel this happy forever.”
Because of her, he would. Even without another child, he was still blessed. He had the love of his brother and a good woman to get him through all the rough patches.
“You’re my days, nights, hours, and seconds. Without you, there’s no point. With you there’s no limit. The day you found me was the day I found myself. I am a better man, father, and lover because of you.”
She loved when he’d spout some little sonnet he’d written for her. It touched her heart, making her feel so happy. Callen was her poet. He was her love.
“I mean it,” he stated.
Elizabeth loved how the men in her life always treated the life they’d created with so much reverence. Maybe it was because they had brutal jobs, which showed the worst moments in humanity, so they respected it so much more.
Where his hand once was, his mouth now took its place. Gently, he pushed her shirt up to find her bare beneath. “Oh, angel, I’ve missed this.”
And he had.
The feel of her skin was alluring.
“I missed it too, Callen. Make love to me.”
Her wish was his command.
Pulling her up until she was sitting, Callen pulled the shirt from her body. The second it was gone, his mouth was back on hers.
The kiss was a little wilder than before, and it showed Elizabeth what lived in him for her.
Her fingers went to the button on his well-worn jeans. With a flick of her wrist, they were open. Immediately, he popped out.
Someone was going commando, and she loved every second of it. With eager fingers, Elizabeth began stroking him. His heated flesh warmed even more as her palm teased and tormented him.
“Wait.”
The words stopped her dead in her tracks. “What? I don’t know if I really can wait, Callen.”
“I have a secret too.”
She didn't move. From her position on the bed, she stared up at him. She set him free, releasing his erection. Elizabeth couldn’t imagine what he was hiding from her. In fact, she was a little afraid to ask, but she didn't have a choice.
“What is it?”
“I did something.”
Elizabeth never looked away from his eyes. There was no fear there, but instead amusement. It couldn’t be that bad after all.
“If you’re holding out on sex, while I’m pregnant, it better be something huge,” she warned. “If not, you’re going to get hurt.”
Callen laughed. “I wanted to give you something.”
“You did. I’m growing you a child. Now I know what I really want you to give me.” She pointed at his erection.
Callen laughed. “Hold on, hornball. I have something for you. Besides, I didn't know at the time you were pregnant, so I got you the gift that will last my lifetime.”
She wasn’t sure where this was going. “Okay. Let me have it.”
“It’s part of your Christmas gifts, but if I have sex with you, I can’t keep it hidden.”
She stared at his penis. “Well, it’s not a new dick, so you better spill it.”
“I’ll show you.”
With that, Callen pulled the t-shirt from his body.
He knew when she figured it out.
Her eyes drifted lower and down his torso. When they stopped on his ribs, the recognition dawned. There was a tattoo. Immediately, she sat up.
“What did you do?”
“I got you tattooed on my side, so no matter where I am, I can look in the mirror and see you.”
Elizabeth ran her fingers over the portrait. It looked just like her. Beneath her sexy smile were a few scripted words.
‘Forever my beautiful angel’
“Oh, Callen James.”
“Do you like it?” he asked, getting nervous. He never contemplated that she wouldn’t want her face on him. Then again, Ethan didn't think to do it, so maybe there was a reason.
Shit!
“Like it? No, I love it. No one’s ever done that for me. It’s amazing,” she whispered.
“I wanted to remember you like this forever. When we’re old and gray, this is how I’ll always see you.”
Her heart skipped.
“It’s because I told you I felt like I was getting old, isn't it?”
He leaned down to kiss her. “You’ll never be more perfect than you are in my eyes. You’re my angel, and you fell right from heaven and into my arms.”
She sniffled.
Callen always knew what to say to her.
“I love you so much,” she said. “My heart can’t contain the love.”
He was glad.
“Well, then how about we finish what we started?” he asked.
She was good with that.
Elizabeth wanted him more than ever.
Taking his erection in her hand, she stroked him. When he moaned, dropping back his head in pleasure, Elizabeth wanted to offer him so much more.
When her lips covered the tip of his erection, Callen’s body jerked. The warm, wet sensation was delicious, and he’d missed it so very much.
It wasn’t easy not to flip the switch and become some starving, sex hungry maniac.
“Angel,” he begged, finally glancing down at her. Here they were, kneeling in the center of the bed, and she was gazing up at him with her mouth full.
It was a beautiful sight.
He wanted this picture to be his last one when it was time to cross into the Happy Hunting Grounds. This was one of his fondest moments, and he’d use it next time he had to be away from her.
It was heaven at its finest.
She worked him at an even pace, taking her time. There was no urgency with each glide of his erection in and out of her mouth.
In fact, she savored it.
Ten days was a long time to be apart, and she wanted him to know how much she missed him. There could be no doubt how much she missed this, and them.
Elizabeth worshipped his erection.
Callen shook.
When he was close to losing it, he pulled away from her body. “I have to taste you.”
She wouldn’t say no.
As she lay back, he tugged the shorts down her long legs to admire the view. There was nothing like the familiarity of your woman’s body when you were returning from a trip. It both welcomed and offered peace.
It was perfection.
As he lowered himself between her legs, his fingers were the first to come in contact. Gently, he teased and tormented her.
Elizabeth moaned. “Callen, please.”
He couldn’t help himself. Here she was, and he was dying to take his time. There would be no rushing.
“I have to taste you.”
And then he did.
His tongue did truly wicked things against her clitoris. It teased, swirled, and flicked her right to the edge of the precipice. When he flicked it, the sensatio
n threw her right over the edge.
It was so hot to hear her breathy gasp of his name as she tumbled into the first orgasm.
But he wasn’t done.
No, this was far from over.
He had many, many days to make up for, and they were going to count.
Onward he pushed, even as her body bowed against the sheets of the bed. As his mouth continued its quest, her fists bunched in the linens.
“Oh God!” she muttered as he let his mouth lead the way. Callen was feasting—almost like a starving man. No part of her was safe.
As his hands wandered up, they found her breasts. Callen knew her body well enough that he could pull the maximum amount of pleasure from her.
And he was.
“Please,” she whispered as her legs shook. Elizabeth was on the crest of the next orgasm, and she couldn’t hold on. If anything, the Blackhawk boys were really good at pleasuring a woman.
They learned, invented, and oozed sexual prowess.
It was hotter than the fiery pits of hell, and she was a lucky, lucky girl.
When he nipped that sensitive little bud, she exploded against his mouth. Her orgasm made him want her even more. His craving wasn’t satiated, but if he waited, he’d explode too.
Instead, he stood.
Elizabeth struggled to open her eyes. She felt like a warm, lazy cat, who had just been given a big bowl of cream and proceeded to gulp it down. Life couldn’t get any better than this moment.
Then he dropped his jeans.
Callen was rock hard, and she’d been wrong.
It was about to get a whole lot better.
“I need to feel you all over my body. I want to watch you sliding up and down my erection.”
That was all he had to say.
Great pleasure should be shared.
As Callen took a seat against the headboard, he watched her with heavily, lust laden eyes.
Oh, he was holding his need in check, and she wanted that to stop. Her Callen was wild in bed, and he was trying to keep that need dammed up.
There was nothing better than watching Callen erupt with such ferocity when they made love.
Elizabeth crawled across the bed to straddle his hips. When he touched her with his fingers, the heat in the room went up.
“You’re really wet, Lyzee. That turns me on. I want to do so many wild things with your body.”
She didn't speak. Instead, she acted.
Running her mouth across his throat and shoulders, Elizabeth knew Callen was going crazy. He was shaking, and that’s exactly what she wanted from him.
A wild Callen was a sexy Callen.
As she tugged on his ear with her teeth, she let her body rub wantonly against his. It pulled a moan from his lips.
It was pretty damn hot.
“Please,” he whispered. “I’m trying not to be some rutting animal. You’re making it hard. You’re making me hard.”
She grinned. “Yes, I know. That’s the point.”
Callen’s eyes never left hers. “Ride me, Lyzee. I want you sliding up and down my dick in the worst way. Bring us home.”
She didn't hesitate.
Her body took his in, sheathing him to the base. The groan from Callen was enough to boil her blood. Immediately, his hands went to her hips, and she began her ride.
“More,” he begged. “I want it all.”
So did she.
As she began bouncing in his lap, he watched her breasts bob before him. Callen couldn’t focus. He wanted to touch her. With one hand, he played with the pert little nipples.
Elizabeth moaned.
“You feel so good,” he admitted. “I love coming home after a trip. It’s like returning to paradise after fighting my way through hell.”
She moved faster, burying him deep within her body. With each slide up and down, there was so much pleasure being shared.
When she came again, he was breathing heavily. “Be yourself. Be my Callen.”
It was all it took.
He moved, forcing her to her back. Now she was caged beneath him with his throbbing erection still buried in her body. “Be careful what you ask for,” he whispered in her ear, right before he bit her on the shoulder.
Elizabeth moaned.
Yes, this was the man who made her wild.
Callen began driving himself into her body. It was fast, brutal, and full of lust.
He’d held out as long as he could.
Now he had to take.
When she crested again, from another orgasm, he rode the tremors closer to the edge. Only, he needed something else. He wanted his woman on her knees.
Pulling out, he flipped her over. When he pulled her hips up, to find his way back into her body, they both moaned in pleasure.
“God! Yes, Callen. Please!”
He began the ride, his eyes never leaving the tattoo of his name on her shoulder. That’s why he liked the view.
Her ass was spectacular, but it was that one symbol that turned him on the most.
She was his.
And now she was pregnant.
It made him wild, and his driving thrusts proved it. In and out of her body he drove, pulling so much pleasure from them both.
“Callen, I’m close,” she whispered, chewing on her lower lip to hang on to that thread of control.
That was all he needed to hear.
Leaning over her, he found that most sensitive part of her body. With rough fingers, he stroked her.
She exploded.
His body was milked by hers, and there was no way Callen could hold on.
He was too wild with lust.
As his body ruptured apart, it was her name on his lips. When he poured hotly into Elizabeth, he was thinking about growing old with her.
And Ethan.
Here was home, and no matter what case, they were together.
That’s all that mattered.
As they dropped onto the bed, Callen was careful not to crush her. Immediately, she curled into him, placing her head on his chest.
Neither spoke.
“I love you, Callen.”
He grinned. “What I feel for you is so much more than love, Elizabeth. It’s deeper. You’re the one person who keeps me here. Without you, I’d have no reason to live.”
She looked up at him. “You have lots of reasons, Callen James. I’m just the fun one.”
Elizabeth didn't give herself enough credit. She was hard working, an amazing mother, and a giving partner. She was the perfect partner—for them. She healed all the cracks in their lives. Without her, they’d be broken.
Damaged.
Unworthy.
“I’m glad we’re back together again,” he admitted. “I miss having the little woman all over me.”
She elbowed him. “Wife. The term is wife.”
Then again, after he’d tattooed her on his body, Callen could call her whatever he wanted. “I love my gift. Thank you,” she purred, rubbing against him.
“Oh, trust me, that was worth the hours of pain. Then again, I suffered so much, so you should have to kiss me and make me better a few more times.”
She pulled her lips to his and did just that. This time it wasn’t frenetic. It was slow, silky, and sensual.
“Yeah, just like that, angel.”
She giggled.
It made his heart light.
Callen grinned. Her laughter was the most beautiful sound he’d ever heard in his life.
As he was about to tell her so, they heard the door opening in the other room.
“Ethan?” Callen called, knowing his sidearm wasn’t far away in case he needed it. While he wouldn’t freak out that she was in danger, it didn't mean he wasn’t going to take it seriously.
“Yeah, it’s me. I have dinner. Are you two hungry?” he asked, carrying the pizza, beer, and giant water bottle into the bedroom. On top of the box were three salad containers.
Elizabeth nearly swooned.
Ethan Blackhawk was a sweet man too. H
e’d given her time alone with Callen to ease him into the surprise, and he still thought about the baby she was growing.
Yeah, lucky wasn’t the word.
Blessed was better.
“I have fiber and roughage. Aren’t we lucky? It’s salads all around for anyone growing a child, and the men responsible for the baby too.”
It looked like they were all back on eating what their pregnant woman ate.
As she pulled on Callen’s shirt, and sat up on the bed, Ethan kicked off his shoes and began handing out their dinner. When he sat, it was hard not to get that warm fuzzy feeling.
Here was his family.
Callen was smiling and looked to be at peace.
Elizabeth was happy, and safely tucked between them.
It was peaceful, despite what was going on in the world around them.
Then he noticed the obvious.
“What the hell?” he asked, pointing at Elizabeth on Callen’s ribs.
She glanced over in the direction Ethan was focused. “It’s me. Isn’t it great?”
Ethan moved closer. “It’s perfect. Callen, that’s an awesome tattoo.”
He ran his hand down his side. “I missed her.”
“Where’s the one of me?” Ethan teased. “Or didn't you miss me?”
Callen laughed. “Nice try.”
“I love it,” he said, reaching out to touch her. “Wait! I know that picture.”
Callen grinned. “You should. You took it.”
Ethan pulled his wallet out and took out the picture in there. It was one he had taken and hid away for his pleasure.
“How did you…?”
“I broke into your tablet remotely, downloaded the picture, and used it.”
“Why?” Elizabeth asked. “You had to have a picture you liked.”
“I did it because it’s Ethan’s favorite one. When we’re in bed, naked, and making love, he’s going to see it. I want it to bring him joy too. It’s not just about me. For the last three months, he’s been taking one for the team so I can heal and have another child. That’s love. Well, so is this.”
He wasn’t kidding.
Elizabeth’s eyes filled with tears.
What they had was amazing.
“Thank you, Callen,” Ethan said, leaning over her to hug his brother. “You’re the other half of my heart.”
He grinned. “Same here, bro.”
