Master Kingston had always given her the choice to stay or go before every step of their involvement together. She knew he would do so again. But this time she needed to be strong and say “no more”.
Andorra liked being outside on the mountain again. The sun was still warm, but she knew winter was coming. Already some of the leaves on the trees had started changing color as fall progressed. She followed Raleigh through some trees, over rocky slopes, and up to a huge collection of rocks. “We climb up here,” he said.
She scrambled from rock to rock, reaching the top and wondering what was there. The view was quite pretty, and it was a good outlook, but she could feel the tension in both Raleigh and Kingston and knew something else was going to happen.
Raleigh opened his backpack and pulled out a rug which he set on a flat rock, then he brought out containers of food, plates, forks, and bottles of beer as well as some bottles of water. “I wasn’t sure what you liked, so I got a variety,” he said handing her a plate and a fork.
“Thank you.”
“I’m sure you’re tired of sandwiches and salad.”
“They’re healthy foods. I don’t mind them. But not knowing how long I needed to make them last for was a challenge.”
“I needed to test you, but I was too harsh. I apologize for not trusting you sooner,” said Kingston.
“Why were you testing me? Or is that something I shouldn’t ask?”
Raleigh passed her a container of corn on the cob, smothered in butter, then another container with barbecued pork ribs covered in sweet and sour sauce. She took a corn cob and two ribs, breathing the rich smell of the food deep into her chest and wondering if Kingston would answer her question.
“I guess it’s just your bad luck that in the past I met up with some women who wanted to marry my money. Well, it’s not even my money. It belongs to the company of which I’m CEO. But they saw me as a way to a very nice life and disillusioned me about love.”
“And since I have neither job nor money you thought I was like them.” Andorra felt hurt, but she had to accept that his response was reasonable for a rich man. Or if not rich, certainly much better off than her.
They were all eating now, but Andorra could feel Kingston’s gaze on her and knew there was more to come.
Finally, when she’d finished her food, Kingston said, “The pack has some secrets which—”
Andorra held up her hand to him. “I don’t want to know your secrets. I’m happy to be here as we are now. I have some things I need to say as well, and the last thing I need is to be bound to you by secrets out of my control.”
“What do you mean?” Raleigh sounded hurt.
She hoped she hadn’t spoiled the picnic for him, because she really was happy to be here, being normal with them both.
Andorra waved her arms. “This is the kind of relationship I want with you. One where we go outside the bedroom and do things together. I love fucking you, and you’re both amazing lovers, but I don’t want to be locked in a room as a sex slave. I need to be part of your lives. I need us to be in a relationship. I understand that might not be what either of you want, and in that case I would like to have a job at one of your company branches just until winter is past. After winter I can find another job myself, but I need shelter and that means paying work over winter.”
Raleigh and Kingston were staring at each other. Andorra stopped speaking wondering what they’d say.
“Let me check that I understand you. You want us to be in a relationship where we do things together as well as sleep together. Otherwise you want to leave the mountain and work for one of my companies somewhere else.”
Andorra nodded at Kingston. “Yes.”
“What about if we’re in a relationship here on the mountain where we do things together as well as fuck?” asked Raleigh.
“That would be my first preference. If I could do some work here to be useful and helpful, then I’d feel better about staying here.”
“If you stay here you will inevitably learn pack secrets,” said Kingston.
Andorra noticed he’d said pack twice now. That word worried her a bit. “If your company is involved in crime in any way I absolutely don’t want to know about it. I’ll leave tomorrow and go far away. In that case I’d appreciate if one of your connections could help me find a job and accommodation for winter, then I promise never to bother you again.”
“Your old boss said he’d love to have you back.” Kingston stared at her.
“He did? He wants me back? Awesome! Could you lend me bus fare to go home then, and I’ll pay you back out of my salary once I find an apartment?”
“I don’t want you to go. I love you.” Raleigh pulled her into his arms and held her tightly. She felt so safe and secure there. So wanted and appreciated.
Feelings burst through her. Feelings she’d been pushing down and denying for days now. Feelings that she hadn’t wanted to admit to. “I love you, too. I don’t want to leave here. I just want a relationship with you both. A real, genuine relationship.”
Now Kingston held her as well. Gently he turned her to face him. “That’s what we want as well. But before that can happen there is one secret you have to know. And it doesn’t involve crime or anything illegal. It’s just a little unusual is all.”
Andorra relaxed. “Unusual is fine.”
Both men began getting undressed. They made no indication for her to start taking off her clothes so she waited and watched them. Were they going to say they were bisexual and liked to fuck each other? It only took Andorra a minute to realize she’d be happy about that. They had known each other for a very long time and any relationship between them was fine by her. Plus she wouldn’t mind watching them fuck each other. That could be extremely erotic.
When they were both naked, Kingston and Raleigh moved across to the farthest part of the rocky outcrop where they sat. Andorra was confused but entranced. Their bodies gleamed in the sunlight. Kingston was very broad and muscular all over. She’d never really had an opportunity to just stare at his naked body before and she was enjoying running her gaze across his broad shoulders and over his thighs. They were thick and rippled with muscle. His biceps bulged with strength and his six-pack was spectacular. He truly was an amazing figure of manhood. Speaking of which, his “manhood” was long and thick and enticing as well.
Raleigh was taller than Kingston but much leaner. His muscles were stringier and his blond hair seemed even lighter with the sun shining on it. He was like an imposing Viking from the olden days as he stretched to his full height standing on the top of the rocks.
Both men shimmered and—disappeared. But no, standing on the rocks where they’d been were two dogs. One was stocky and had black, or possibly very dark brown fur, and the other was longer and leaner with light brown fur. Andorra blinked, shook her head hard, and blinked again. She knew now why heroines in movies pinched themselves to check they were alive when strange things happened. But she knew she hadn’t moved or gone down a rabbit hole or entered an alternate world. It was the men who disappeared or turned into dogs or—
Andorra shivered from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. The ripples ran through her again and again. It was almost like a climax only she felt weak and shaky, not limp and satiated. She couldn’t possibly have seen what she thought she’d seen. That kind of thing just did not happen. It wasn’t real. Master Kingston and Master Raleigh were real. Shimmering dogs on the rocks had to be an optical illusion. Or something.
Wait. Kingston had said “pack”. He’d used the word twice, deliberately. Were shape-shifters real? Did such things truly exist? They must because she was looking at them now.
“Either I’ve gone crazy or you’ve both turned into dogs.” Her voice sound high, weak, and wobbly. Well, that was reasonable. She felt pretty weak and wobbly all through.
Kingston grunted and lashed his tail.
Andorra stared at him for a while then she looked at the dogs again more closely. They were very
big dogs and their tails were long. Their paws seemed much bigger than a dog’s, too. “Okay, not dogs, wolves. You’re werewolves?”
Both dogs gave a little yip, then Kingston turned and ran down the outcrop, followed by Raleigh. Andorra stood up and watched them. They were very sure-footed, scampering over the rocks and jumping from place to place. Once they reached the ground they ran a little then Raleigh dashed in out of the trees before climbing up and over some of the rocks again. Kingston stood on a tall rock and stared at her, almost daring her not to say he was strong, beautiful, and in control. So typical of him, always the Master.
Eventually they came running back up the outcrop again, and once they reached the top they shook themselves before transforming back to human form.
“Well?” asked Kingston.
Andorra dropped back onto the rug, still feeling shaky and confused. “I won’t tell anyone you’re wolves. For a start, no one would believe me. I don’t know that I believe it yet myself. But apart from that, I appreciate you telling me your secret and will keep it for you.” And she would. She’d seen them change right before her eyes, but she thought she’d likely need to see it happen two or three more times before she got used to them doing it. She would keep her promise about not sharing their secret with anyone else. Even if she met someone who would believe such a thing could happen outside the movies.
Kingston and Raleigh came much closer to her, pulling her between them. “We want you to stay with us. We want you to be our mate. Not our sex slave, although we look forward to lots of sex as well, but our mate,” said Kingston.
“What he means is, we love you and want you to be ours. For the three of us to be in a permanent ménage relationship,” added Raleigh.
“I’ll find you a job, if that’s what you want. And we’ll be companions by day and by night. I do love you, and I’ve never said that to a woman before,” Kingston said.
“I love you, too. I really didn’t want to leave you, but I couldn’t bear to stay here any longer without being with you all the time, not just sometimes,” said Andorra.
“Will you be our mate? There’s no divorce in shape-shifter law. Mates are for life. We promise to love and cherish you and always to care for you,” said Kingston.
“We’ll still play dungeon games?” asked Andorra. Suddenly she didn’t want to give up everything. A lot of what they’d done together had been very good indeed, and she’d found the silence and solitude quite important in sorting out her own thoughts and wishes.
“Of course. But only ever with your consent.”
“I agree to mate you. I love you both.” And for the first time, she took the initiative and hugged and kissed them both. Four strong arms wrapped around her pulling her against two hard bodies. This was where she belonged. This was her home.
* * * *
Raleigh held his breath. He and Kingston had spent several hours setting this scene for their mating, and he was desperate for it to be a success. Raleigh knew no one would ever be as precious to him as Andorra, and the fact she’d agreed to mate them was almost a miracle after the way Kingston—they’d both—treated her.
Kingston checked the blindfold over Andorra’s eyes was tight, then unlocked the door of his apartment. Raleigh led her inside and closed the door. No lights were on but he had no trouble seeing ahead of them and stood Andorra in the right place.
“Wait here until I tell you to take the blindfold off,” ordered Kingston.
Raleigh let go of her and they both quickly did what needed to be done in the hallway, their one last-minute task.
Then they stood one each side of the open bedroom door.
“Take off the blindfold now,” said Kingston.
Raleigh held his breath as she pulled it off her head and stood blinking in the light of the dozens of tea candles he and Kingston had used to line the sides of the hallway. In the center of the corridor was a path of flower petals leading to them.
Once they knew she could see, they both stepped back out of the bedroom doorway and revealed the end of the flower petal trail. It went all the way to the bed, which was covered in rose petals and lined by more tea candles.
“Come and join us, to be our mate,” Raleigh and Kingston said together.
Andorra ran to them and threw herself into their arms. “It’s so beautiful. Thank you. Oh, I do love you both so much.”
“I will always love you, Andorra,” said Kingston.
“I love you with all my heart,” added Raleigh and they led her to the bed.
