“No, I promised Riley. I want to be there for her big day. One of her best tattoos is in a competition. I’ll be in touch though,” Seren said.
I gave her a big hug and Brody helped her on her bike. I left them to themselves and their goodbye and climbed into the caravan and stored my bag.
“Heya, Piper,” Fiona greeted. “You look tired. Brody keep you up?”
I shook my head. “He stayed with Seren. I just have a lot on my mind,” I forced a smile. She gave me an empathetic pat on my back.
“Well, you two have some time alone. That should be something to be happy about,” she said.
“Are you going to participate tonight?” I asked.
“I don’t know yet,” she admitted. “But I’m making my famous peach cobbler for the potluck this afternoon.”
“Come on out, Piper, we’re gonna ride for a while,” Brody called, and I got up and out of the caravan and over to his bike. Everyone else had already gone. When I reached his side, he kissed me hard on the lips.
I’d told Jorge I believed I’d fallen in love with him.
What was it about him I loved?
The way he stood up for those he cared for. The way he took care of Seren and Cole. The way he managed situations with ease. The way he listened, kissed, and touched me. Just off the top of my head. I gave him an ear-to-ear grin.
“That’s what I love to see in the morning.” He stopped dead, and I was as sure as my last name was Rowe he was about to take it back. He didn’t though, but slipped the helmet on, and I got on the bike. And we set off for the potluck orgy in Lake Forest. Even though I didn’t necessarily want to go to the orgy, I was looking forward to the potluck dinner. If any of the cooking was half as good as Fiona’s, we were in for a treat. Of course, the absolute best part was being able to spend time with Brody and have him all to myself. For tonight, at least, and part of tomorrow.
Fiona and Doc were anxious to get there, so we only stopped once to fill the tanks and throw down food, which we did, and we made it in less than six hours. Truly, I was surprised how quick the ride passed. In just this short while, I had become quite accustomed to riding on the back of a bike. It was almost as easy as riding in a car, except for the hot dust and gravel that sometimes kicked up from the road. That was the bad part. The best was holding on to Brody. He never complained about how tight I held him when he went around a car. Or the way I let my hands caress the insides of his thighs when we encountered the occasional traffic stop.
The sun was peeking behind the clouds but gave us plenty of sunshine on the ride up to the house. Or should I say sprawling mansion. The home was so much like Royce’s houses in Chestnut Hill that I found myself doing a double take as we followed behind the caravan. We went through a winding pine forest path where a gorgeous new brick and stone mansion stood out amidst its natural surroundings. On our ride around the back to park up, I could see we were close to Lake Michigan. A lake that went on for miles. It wasn’t what I was expecting from Doc and Fiona, as they were so easygoing. Brody must’ve felt the same reservation because he stood stoically by his bike. I had some prejudices too. Doc and Fiona came out of the caravan with big smiles on their faces. When the side door opened, a tall, thin male dressed in an old-fashioned The Munster’s style Frankenstein costume came over to greet them. They shrieked with laughter and hugs. Brody and I relaxed next to each other. Maybe this would be fun.
“Hey, Gary,” Fiona said when he put her down.
Doc gave him a hug. “You’re dressed early.”
“Well, Monica and I were too excited to wait,” he replied sheepishly.
Fiona came over to us and took our hands and pulled us forward. “This is Brody and Piper. They are the ones I told you about.”
Gary shook our hands. “We are happy to have you. We have plenty of room. Do you cook?”
“We eat,” Brody answered, and I laughed a little.
“Well, that’s good. I’ll show you to your room, and you can get settled. We are all cooking and eating mostly and getting our costumes.”
“Oh yeah,” I said looking at Brody. “I forgot to ask to stop and get the stuff. Is there any place open?”
“Well, it’s summer, so not really any Halloween costumes. We ordered ours online. Maybe a convenience store will have a few things. Is there something in particular you need?” Gary asked.
“We’re doing True Blood. I’m wearing a bikini top and cutting off a pair of jeans for shorts. Brody, I guess could get some light contacts in town. He’s a werewolf.”
“Am I? I don’t recall you asking me if I wanted to be a werewolf,” Brody said with a lightness to his tone. I covered my grin, and they all laughed.
“She’s the boss,” Gary said. He dropped his tone. “We have a maze set up for hunting in the back if you want to do a chase and capture.”
My breath and pulse sped up at the thought of Brody chasing, capturing, and claiming me.
“Oh, someone seems to like that idea,” Gary said, and I blushed.
I spared a glance at Brody, and he was just as enamored. “A few others would join in if you like.”
“Nope. We’re good,” Brody said and possessively placed his arm around my waist.
“They’re here for the food and conversation,” Fiona explained.
“Well, there is that and more if you want it,” Gary said still smiling. “There is a place downtown that you may have passed that will have a few things you need. Monica can give you directions when you come inside.”
We collected our things as a group from the caravan. Before we followed Gary into the house, I took out my camera and got Doc and Fiona to pose for a photo.
“Before,” I whispered to them.
Fiona swatted my arm playfully. “I thought we got rid of Zack’s sexual teasing.”
We walked down a wide, marble hallway that was highly decorated with large, framed family photos and artwork. At the end, it opened up to a large archway that had a kitchen that was a chef’s paradise. Four burners were going, and two double-door steel refrigerators with marble top counters space galore. I noticed Fiona didn’t even bat an eye, but she waved to the six couples there. What I noticed right away was that they were all couples, though a mix of ages and appearances. All had a bit of sexy to them too, or maybe I was just thinking about the orgy. In the center was a woman dressed as the Munster’s Bride of Frankenstein. They were also cooking, and the smell was making my mouth water.
“Let’s let them get settled,” Gary said and mentioned to the Bride of Frankenstein the need for us to go in town. He introduced us around to the others, but I was sure I would need to be told again.
“Monica. I thought you were making Gary dress as Sting’s Frankenstein from the Bride!” Fiona chortled, and they hugged.
Were they the swap-couple Fiona had mentioned?
“Gary will change, but this is his protest against his other costume. I got everything on your list for the peach cobbler, come and join us when you’re ready.”
“We are available for samples,” I said to their amusement.
Gary moved us on up a winding spiral staircase, stopped at a room and gestured toward Brody and me. “You guys get settled. You are welcome to walk around the grounds or take a nap. Dinner will be in about four hours. The rest is later.”
“Thank you,” we both said and closed the door. A large four-poster, mahogany, carved bed took up most of the space. It was over a richly patterned rug and next to a large, white, decorated fireplace. Two antique chairs and a small table with framed pictures completed the room. It also had a bay window with a view of Lake Michigan.
“Wow, can you believe this place?” I outstretched my arms.
“My parents still have a place in Bel Air like this. They only had me. Theirs’ is great, but I always thought it was too much house for me,” Brody responded.
“For me, too,” I said. “Unless I had fifteen children to fill it.”
“I thought you only wanted twins,” Brod
y teased.
“What do you want, Brody?” I asked.
He stared off. “Best not to dream.”
I wanted to push him, but I could see the torment on his face and decided to hug him, which I did, and he held me back.
“Let’s go and get your fantasy on. You want me to capture and fuck you outside?” he said. His crass words heated me up again.
“Yes, but don’t start that now, or we won’t make it to the potluck and I’m hungry,” I said.
“Oh, I won’t stand in the way of that,” Brody replied. We walked on out and back to the bike. He paused to check his phone. “They got there safely.”
“Any word from Cole?” I asked in a gentle tone. He shook his head then gave me a light peck on the lips, and we rode off to get our costumes.
At a retail shop, we found a cheap pair of jeans to rip for Brody and a brightly checkered patterned sundress and fruit-patterned bikini for me. The local optical store directed us to a small Goth shop where we scored Brody’s eyes, ice blue contacts. They stood out against his tan skin.
“We’re really going all out,” I mused.
“What’s the point? They will just be in the way later,” he said darkly. True.
The bedroom had a big bath that I filled for us to relax in for a while when we got back. Brody didn’t protest, even at the bubbles I added to the water though he gave them a chuckle when he sunk in behind me. I leaned back against his chest. “Oh, this is now my second favorite part of the trip.”
“What was the first?” Brody asked sponging my hair.
“The cabin with you,” I answered.
“I enjoyed the way that one ended, too,” he said squeezing my breasts. I could feel his erection growing against my back, and I took in a sharp breath. I turned over and moved myself high on his thighs. Clutching his broad shoulders, I kissed his forehead, his high cheekbones, and down to his full mouth. He lifted me up, and I moved his cock to my entrance and eased down on him. Oh, Brody.
We both moaned. The sensation was ecstasy. I lifted my body and seated him further inside me. My blood was hot, and my breath quickened as I moved up and down his swollen shaft. Brody’s eyes met mine, and our gazes locked, electricity crackled between us.
“Oh, Piper,” he moaned. He stroked my clit and watched me tremble until I was right on the verge of climax. He gripped my hips and lifted me up to fuck me from underneath, angling to drag his cock against my clit.
I rode him faster, screaming out. “Brody.”
“Yes. Piper. Fuck,” he yelled.
I held fast as he had me bouncing on his cock until I couldn’t hold out any longer. Neither could Brody. We came, close together, holding onto each other tightly as we rode out the tremors in our joined bodies. When we came down, he still held onto me and rubbed over my back, and we kissed whatever parts of us we could reach. “I could stay like this forever,” I said thickly.
Brody let out a sexy chuckle and moved back to capture my chin and kissed me tenderly. “Every night spent with you, has been my favorite part of the trip.”
I kissed him deeply and passionately with as much feeling as I could to convey how much his words meant to me. Yes. I had completely and utterly fallen in love with him.
After taking a real bath, Brody went to sleep. And I spent some time writing on my laptop, finishing the rest of my preliminary report for Gilmore. Normally I would have spent some time reassessing my words, but, this time, was different. The words flowed from me, passionately. The story, like everything that happened since Boston, flowed from me naturally. After all, I’d lived it.
I crawled back in bed and onto Brody, who enfolded me in his arms. Perhaps Jorge was right. The trip and being with this group had changed me. For the better.
WE GOT UP A few hours later to put on our costumes. I added curls to the ends of my hair and put the bikini on under the sundress. Although I was still fussing over putting preliminary cuts in the fabric, just for him to take it off of me later. “It’s pretty. I don’t know if I want to ruin it.”
“I’ll get you a new one,” Brody mused.
We painted on the jeans he wore and added rips to the thighs. Though not too high, in case we had a wardrobe malfunction because he was going commando underneath. He sacrificed one of his white fitted t-shirts, and I added a few rips, showing off his incredible, muscular body and tattoos. His hair was mussed and slicked back from his gorgeous face.
“So what do you think?” Brody asked. From my ogling, he had his answer, but I told him. “Sizzling hot,” I pretended his skin was too hot, and he laughed.
His eyes met mine. “You’re beautiful.”
I sighed. “You always say that.”
“It’s true,” he said simply. We kissed deeply then hugged each other. I would have been happy just to stay in the room and talk to him, but we had promised Doc and Fiona we would go to the dinner. Brody took my hand, and we walked down the stairs. There was a male in a crisp shirt and slacks positioned at the bottom who directed us to a formal dining room. It had a beautifully clothed table that seated twelve. We were the last to arrive and looking around at the costumes; we weren’t winning the best of the night. But we were recognized.
“Oh, I love your True Blood costumes,” Fiona said, rising with Doc. They looked straight out of the Lost Boy’s movie in their costume. The both of them with 80’s, big-hair wigs, leather jackets and white t-shirts. The difference being Doc had on a pair of stone washed jeans, and Fiona had on a tie-dyed silk skirt. Doc looked younger without the “stash.” I had forgotten my camera, but Brody had his phone, and we got Gary to take one of the four of us. He and Monica had transformed into The Bride movie Frankenstein. As it turned out, Gary had long blond hair and wore an old fashioned suit. Monica had a lot of mummy sheets strips around her and a tall, curly wig. The three other couples also dressed up in pairs. Laura, a short, curvy woman with severe black bobbed hair and big blue eyes, was dressed in a leather catsuit and combat boots ala Under World Vampire. Her partner, Rich, had long black hair and was well over six feet. He was dressed in similar, leather Goth wear. His sleeves were bare showing off beefy arms. Another couple, Marco, I recognized from Blade had on similar leather wear. He must have stopped at the same Goth shop because his contacts were striking against his dark skin. His Renfield, Erin, was a redheaded female, dressed in casual wear as her disguise. She showed off a pretty symbol on her neck with a little blood coming from it. The final couple at the table, Quinn, and Victoria were in the Matrix costumes, but from different installments. Quinn had long blond cornrows with a white leather suit. Victoria was in a black patent leather pants suit.
All of them talked about food. The meal included a variety of soups, sushi, salad, boiled shrimp skewers, crab cake hush puppies, steaks, and lobster. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options were also on offer.
“Do I taste thyme in the crab cakes?” Fiona asked, once we all were served.
Monica nodded. “Fiona has the most amazing palette.”
“When are you opening your restaurant?” Marco asked.
“No time soon. I’m afraid. We are still out doing our bucket list. We went hot air ballooning and skydiving!” Fiona gushed.
“That’s exciting, but I think I’ll stay on the ground,” said Quinn. Victoria agreed.
“Oh, I think a red would go better with this dish,” Laura complained. Gary immediately had someone bring in red wine for her. They were going all out.
“Piper and Brody are on the trip. Brody handles our bikes and Piper’s recording our trip for college,” Doc said. This got Brody into a discussion on bikes. Listening, I wished I had taken up on his offer to teach me.
“College where?” Gary asked.
“Boston, North,” I answered.
“Oh, I miss Boston,” Monica said. And that was the extent of my conversation. Still Brody and I ate, and ate some more. We were full into piggy world by the time Fiona’s peach cobbler came out.
“You still got room in ther
e?” Brody said to me and laughed.
“Where does she store it?” Gary joked.
“Nowhere you’ll find, Frankenstein,” Brody said quiet enough for me to hear. He looked really intimidating with his bright eyes flashing, but, oh so spellbinding. I was getting off on his aggressiveness too. Team Brody.
After we’d finished eating, some staff came out and cleared the table.
“The playroom is all set up,” Gary said. “You are all free to join, or do whatever you like. The night is nice if you want to go outside.” He looked over at us.
I squeezed Fiona’s hand. She nodded and got up and followed the Underworld couple out. I looked at Brody, and he lifted his brows. Well, that couple I hadn’t guessed.
“You want to go and see?” Brody asked.
I scrunched up my face but said. “Yeah. I’m curious, but I don’t know if I want to see Doc and Fiona doing it. I think that’ll ruin the family image I want to keep of them.”
“I was thinking the same thing, but it was so important to her that I agreed,” Brody said.
“I’ll go, but keep my hand,” I said.
Brody kissed my wrist, and we rose and walked on out of the dining hall toward the stairs that led to the basement. The lights were dim when we reached the bottom of the stairs and wow. There were some people down here that skipped the eating and had gone straight to the fun. This was quite a playroom, suburban style. It had inlaid lighting in the ceiling and plush neutral walls and carpet. The play equipment was in a custom case fastened to the wall with a variety of paddles and crops for use. There were baskets of toys, towels and blankets around. A St. Andrews cross in use, along with a bench with restraints. That was all I recognized from my little research online.
“What do you think?” Brody asked.
“A very organized scene. I’m not sure how I feel about it though,” I said, and he kissed my cheek. There was plenty to see and lingering eye contact that I knew would include us. Not to mention various body parts in just about every position imaginable, but nothing was doing it for me. I was usually a happy voyeur in other circumstances. But something else was stopping my fascination with the scene. I looked up and found Brody eyes were on me and felt a thrill travel down my spine, and I knew the answer. I was with the man I wanted to be with.
