Even When It's Wrong Page 14

by Nicole Jackson

“Omari!” she shouted, as I dashed out of the door. “Baby, just stay! Talk to me!” she pleaded, as I slammed the door in her face.

Nixing her off, I stepped to the side of the building. I waited a few minutes, making sure that she didn’t attempt to come outside, looking for me. I then traveled to the back. To her window again. Never bothering to knock this time, I lifted the glass window. After pushing it completely up, I smoothly eased a leg into the window, then my head, before the rest of my body.

Although it was dark in the room, I noticed Mya curled up under the covers in her bed. “Was it unlocked from the beginning?” I asked quietly.

  “Yeah,” she answered weakly.

I sucked my teeth. “Shit. Went through all that bullshit for nothing,” I grumbled, as I kicked my shoes off. I then unbuckled my Louie belt, before dropping me jeans to the floor. Without saying anything else, I climbed into bed with her, and slipped underneath the cover.

She lied on her side, as I came up from behind, spooning her. Placing one hand on her hip, I leaned in, kissing the back of her neck. She sniffled, causing her body to tremble. “I hate her,” she professed with so much pain in her voice.

A wave of heat coursed through my body, wanting to wring Meeka’s neck. She did this shit at least once a week. “Come here,” I commanded, grabbing Mya’s jaw, having her tilt her head my way. I could feel the dampness from the tears she was shedding on her face. “Stop crying, girl. It’s gonna be alright.” I kissed her lips. “I promise.”

For a few minutes, I wrapped my arms around her, while she sniveled uncontrollably. There wasn’t much that I could verbally say to make things better, so I was just there with her. Holding her. Therefore, with the silence between us, I was able to think back to what Kells had claimed. He swore that I couldn’t stay away from Mya. And maybe I could. Maybe I couldn’t. But either way it went, I didn’t want to leave her alone…so, I wouldn’t.

  Chapter 12

  Mya

“So, you aint gone tell me how much that purse cost?”

My eyes absently wandered around, checking my surroundings. Students were everywhere, as we stood outside of the main building of the school. It was the end of the day, and people were taking their asses home, which was what Nerie should’ve been doing. Instead, she was all in my damn business.

I sucked my teeth. “I don’t know. I told you that. Why you so pressed to know, though?”

Nerie folded her arms across her chest. “Cause, bitch, I wanna know.”

I glanced down at my fire-red cross-body Gucci purse, belt and sneakers. The accessories really brought out my simple school clothes, and everybody couldn’t seem to shut up about it. Omari had given a booster twelve hundred for everything, and he claimed that it had been a hell of a deal, but Nerie or nobody else needed to know that.

“And I wanna know why you so damn nosy,” I chided, as I watched different cars pull up to the curb.

“I’m saying, what’s the big secret? Why are you so hushed-mouth?” she lifted her chin. “And who been buying you all this shit? I know it aint your mama, Mya.”

I tittered, knowing that it probably had a better chance of a snowy blizzard in Houston than I had with Meeka buying me anything, less along Gucci. The only thing my mama gave me was headaches. Thankfully, I’d figured out a way keep our interactions down to a minimum. Whenever she was home, I stayed out of her way. I never asked her for anything. And to avoid the topic of my new wardrobe, amongst other things, I always wore the same raggedy night gown to bed, and kept my hair wrapped up around her. Sadly, she didn’t pay much attention to me, and it seemingly hadn’t dawned on her that I hadn’t asked for food in two months, although she’d neglected to make groceries in order to feed me.

“How you know it aint my mama?” I asked Nerie.

She pursed her lips together. “Bitch, please. You gotta come better than that.”

I smirked, thinking that I’d give her exactly what she was looking for. “Okay. My friend bought everything.”

“Your friend?” her eyes brightened. “Who?”

“You know. The one I told you about.”

She paused. “Wait…huh? Who did you tell me about?”

“Exactly,” I snickered, as the Lexus pulled up to the curb. “See you later.” I sauntered over to the truck, and hopped in.

By the time I’d fastened my seatbelt, we were already pulling into the traffic. “What’s up, girl? How was your day?”

I glanced at Omari. Judging by the flakes of hair I noticed on his neck, he’d just left the barber shop. Wearing a simple white tee and basketball shorts, he was casual, but still as handsome as ever.

“It was cool,” I sighed, as I glanced down at my cell. I’d just gotten a notification from Facebook.

“To say just a while ago you didn’t even have access to the internet, you done caught on to the social media hype,” he pointed out.

“I know.” I nodded. “The shit is addictive.”

“Is that right?” he questioned, while smoothly removing my phone out of my hand. Nosily, he glanced down at the screen. “Too much of anything can be bad for you,” he claimed, dropping my phone into his lap.

I shook my head, and slid my tongue across my teeth. There was no point in putting up a fuss. He’d randomly fuck with my phone often, and I was used to it.

“But yeah,” he licked his lips. “What we eating today?” he quizzed, moving right along.

  I shrugged. “I’m cool with Chick-fil-a.”

He chuckled. “How I knew yo ass was gone say that?”

“Whatever.” I waved him off, before his phone went off.

“Talk to me, nigga,” he answered his cell on speaker.

“Ay, you stopping by today, fam?” Kells asked.

“Ion know, man. I aint gone even lie.”

“Bitch ass nigga don’t never wanna travel to fuck with me,” Kells complained. “What time is it…four o’clock? You must be picking up Mya from school,” he assumed, causing me to giggle.

“Nigga, don’t be acting like you know my moves.”

Kells chuckled. “Shit, apparently, I do. What up, Mya?”

  “Hey, Kells,” I spoke.

“But Ion know you, my nigga?” Kells teased Omari, after hearing my voice.

“Nigga, fuck you. Now I definitely aint coming out there. Besides,” Omari yawned. “I’m tired than a bitch. I need some sleep in the worse way.”

I could hear Kells suck his teeth. “You got more excuses than a nigga going to jail. Fuck it. Get off my line.” He hung up.

Omari sniggered. “Nobody told his dumb ass to move way out there. Always trying to get somebody to drive to him. Nigga got me fucked up. Playing GTA aint never been that damn serious for me.”

I was about to tell him that he was a bad friend, when his cell rang again. This time he glanced down at the phone, but didn’t bother answering it. That right there immediately changed my entire mood.

“So, you aint gonna answer that?” I asked.

“Man,” he sighed heavily. “Mya, please don’t start.”

“Start what?” I twisted my neck. “Why didn’t answer for your girlfriend?”

“Girl, chill out with all that bullshit. I keep telling you what it is. She aint my girlfriend. She’s a friend that helps me get the rentals. That’s it.”

“Whatever,” I grumbled, folding my arms. “You know what? I aint hungry. Just take me home.”

“So, now you mad?” he asked.

Me being me, I didn’t answer his ass.

“Mya, you’on hear me talking to you?”

Avoiding eye contact with him, I looked out of the window.

“Man, there you go with this stupid shit. I know you fucking hear me.”

I took in the scenery, while he babbled on and on. Despite the fact that I’d told him that I didn’t want any food, he pulled up to Chick-fil-a. Never bothering to ask me what I wanted he placed the order.

“Yeah, let me get the cob
salad, honey mustard dressing, no corn, with a number five, and two large lemonades, with no ice.” I rolled my eyes at the fact that he knew exactly what I wanted.

After grabbing the food, he headed home, and I continued to ignore him. Once we were in the apartment, I quietly ate, pissing him off. He hated when I’d give him the silent treatment, and I relished in it.

“Say, girl, you gon make me knock that fucking food out of your hand,” he threatened, after twenty minutes of silence. “Stop playing with me.”

I cut my eyes, glaring at him. “Nah, when you gon stop playing with me?”

“What?” he frowned up. “The fuck are you talking about?”

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. Why you playing games? You know you fucking ole girl. She aint letting you keep rentals in her name for nothing.”

He snarled. “I already told you what it is.”

“Well, Ion believe you.” I placed my food on the coffee table. “So, how about I go and do me too? Since you got special friends, and shit…no wait. Who the fuck am I kidding? You my mama’s man, so I’m definitely free to do whatever the fuck I want.”

He nodded, while placing his food on the table. “And I’ma be free to lay hands on you too. On my mama.”

My clit thumped. “You aint gon keep threatening me,” I pointed a finger in his face.

“The fuck you gon do about it?”

Gritting my teeth, I forcefully grabbed his jaw. “Uhhh, I just want to fuck you up!”

“Shut up,” he growled, yanking my ponytail, pulling my head back. “Be a good lil’ bitch, and come ride this dick.”

  My nostrils flared. “No.”

“Oh, you gon do what the fuck I say, and you gon like it. You understand?”

Needless to say, five minutes later I was stark naked, riding his dick on the couch. He was balls deep within me, as he pinched my nipples. I was rocking my hips, going crazy as I grew overly excited. Even though, I hadn’t been a virgin when he first touched me, there was still so much I hadn’t learned. But now I knew plenty, and one of the main things was how to ride a big dick.

“Yessss!” My head fell back, as he gripped both ass cheeks, spreading them apart, while pumping inside of me.

“Damn this pussy wet,” he huffed.

I could feel his balls slamming against my ass. That shit drove me wild, as I twirled my hips, completely indulging in the penetration. Thinking about how some of my friends swore that their niggas loved when they’d twerk on the dick, I did just that. I popped my back hard, before simultaneously vibrating my ass cheeks; one at a time.

“Shiiiiit,” he gritted, as he smashed into me, before his back stiffened.

“Uh huh,” I boasted, before slipping my tongue into his mouth. He sucked on my tongue while he throbbed inside of me.

Still feeling horny, I grinded on his now limp dick. Pulling away from the kiss, he breathed heavily. “Come here,” he demanded, lifting me off him. He then guided me to straddle his shoulders, so that I could ride his face. Pushing my pussy lips open, he sloshed his tongue across my clit.

“Oouuu!” I screeched, as I slumped forward, using the back of the couch to hold me up.

Omari didn’t stop, although I was curled up over his head. He was relentless, attacking my clitoris with fury. He gripped my ass with both hands, feeding himself large doses of pussy. Unconsciously, I rolled my hips, enjoying the feeling. My heart raced, as I felt it coming.

“Omari, Omari, wait!” I blurted, right before I climaxed all over his face. My body quivered, as he continued to lick. “Shit!” I shouted, reaching my limit. I couldn’t take anymore.

Slowly, I climbed off his shoulders, before straddling his lap again. His mouth was good and greasy, but I didn’t care, as I sloppily kissed him again. I was getting reheated, hoping for another round.

I couldn’t stop giggling, as I found him snoring, while I was pecking his lips. “Omari, really?”

He didn’t budge, as his head fell back.

I shook my head, before I eased off him. “Shit,” I hissed, realizing that I’d stepped into a wet spot on the carpet. Looking down, I saw that I’d spilled my muthafuckin lemonade! “Damn!” I yelled, knowing that there was nothing in the refrigerator to drink. “Omari, get up,” I shoved his shoulder.

His ass needed to go to the store.

With all the yelling I was doing, he never batted an eye. “His ass must be tired as hell,” assumed, as I gathered my clothes off the couch.

Making my way to the bathroom, I hopped into the shower, wanting to wash my ass. I then redressed, putting on a pair of True Religion distressed jeangings and a white muscle shirt. I slid my feet into gold bedazzled slippers that showcased my freshly pedicured toes, before brushing my hair, freshening my ponytail up.

I was prepared to take a walk to the corner store when it dawned on me. Omari had a Lexus truck parked right outside. On occasion, he’d allow me to drive, but he was always there, riding with me. A sneaky grin etched onto my face, as I decided to go into his pockets. His ass was sleeping hard, dick stuck to his thigh, as I picked up his jeans off the floor. I found a wad of cash, and helped myself to a hundred dollar bill, and his car keys. I then casually strolled out of the door.

“Mya, come here,” Quinten urged, as I twisted past him.

“Not now, Quinten. I gotta go,” I told him, as I kept it moving.

“Where you going?” he followed me out into the parking lot.

“To the store.” I kept my back to him.

“Okay, well, let me take you. I got my boy’s car.”

I used the electric key to unlock the Lexus. “That’s alright. I’m good.” I pulled the driver’s door open.

He stood for a second, staring at me. “That nigga letting you drive this?”

I shrugged. “If that’s what you wanna call it.”

He frowned. “What’s going on between you and that nigga?”

I studied him. Quinten had been my neighbor for over two years, but he never gave me a second glance, until he noticed how “big my booty was”. Those were his exact words, so I took his interest with a grain of salt. But now he wanted to act like I was betraying him, as I hopped in Omari’s ride. I didn’t owe him shit.

“Quinten, get you some business. Seriously.” I closed the door, and pushed the start button. With him still standing there, I reversed, pulling out of the parking spot.

When I pulled out of the complex, I tried to play it cool, but I was too excited. I was driving a damn Lexus by my muthafuckin self! Wanting to be seen, I let down all the windows, opened the sunroof, and blasted the music sky high.

“I blow a bag today. Hop out the whip on ‘em baby,” Future’s voice pumped from the speakers. “I had a bag today. I blew a bag today. I had to grab the ray. I had to grab the ray. I had to change the safe…”

My hair was whipping through the wind, although I was driving below the speed limit. I wanted to take my time, as pedestrians glanced my way. I tooted the horn at Quisha, as she wobbled down the sidewalk.

“Bitch, give me a ride!” she shouted, as she recognized me.

I laughed, as I drove past her. I glanced in the rearview, catching my own eyes, noticing that they held real happiness. I patted my hair, truly feeling myself.

Whipping into the lot, I pulled up to the store. There were several niggas that once stood side by side Omari on the block, loitering around. Recently, he’d leveled up, and didn’t have to hustle on the block, anymore.

Killing the ignition, I hopped out of the truck, and switched past the hustlers. “Say, mama, come here,” one of them called out, but I never bothered looking his way, as I pulled the store’s door open.

“Well, if it aint Mya, with ya funny acting ass,” Nisha scoffed, as she folded her arms.

“Right. Bitch, you really switched up, and don’t fuck with us,” Jayde added.

I pursed my lips. “Yall aint finna hit me with that. Yall was skating on a bitch after school every day, so I said
fuck it. I aint gon beg you hoes.”

Nisha rolled her eyes. “Whatever, Mya. If you aint fucking with me no more, then let me know.”

I sighed. “Look, I’m alright with you.”

She smiled. “So, we good? No more acting like you can’t speak?”

I grinned. “Yeah, I guess so,” I agreed. I really had been giving her the cold shoulder, but I had missed hanging with her. I mean, Nerie was cool, but I had always been closer to Nisha. Hell, I was closer to Jayde than I had been with Nerie, but I’d kept her at a distance because of Nisha.

“Whatever, hoe. You been looking real cute lately. You must’ve lost a ton of weight,” Nisha assumed.

I frowned. “I really didn’t. Maybe like ten pounds, but that’s about it. I been fine, and you just catching on.”

Jayde wagged her tongue. “Well, she told you. Mya said don’t get it twisted.”

I smirked, loving how Jayde was always the right amount of messy. She was a thick chick herself, wearing a size thirteen, but Nisha never made snide comments about it. I think that had something to do with the fact that Jayde had beat her up when we were in the fifth grade. And after thinking about it, maybe I needed to whup her ass one good time, too.

“Whatever.” Nisha waved her off. “But yeah, Mya, you need to put us down with whatever you got going.”

I scowled. “I’m not following you.”

“Mya.” She tilted her head sideways. “Come on. Stop playing. How the fuck are you getting all those new clothes? I mean, you had on Gucci at school today. You think that nobody notices that shit?”

“Ooh, that. I guess that just means that somebody really likes my fat ass. Eat a lil’ something, and see if that works for you,” I told her, before heading to the coolers, grabbing myself a two liter Minute Maid fruit punch. From there I sauntered to the register, pulling out the hundred dollar bill.

“This bitch really stunting on us,” Jayde teased, playfully punching my arm.

“Stop,” I giggled, as the Arabian store owner placed my drink in a plastic bag, before handing it to me.

“Where you going from here?” Nisha wanted to know, as I grabbed my change.

“Back home,” I answered, as before stepping outside. She and Jayde were right behind me. I hit the locks on the Lexus, and their jaws dropped.
