99 Days With You
Sometimes the end is the start of forever…
* * *
Emma and Nathan couldn’t be more different. But when they meet in a hospital waiting room, to the sound of a ticking clock and surrounded by faded magazines, they are both terrified, nervous and alone. And they have one fatal thing in common…
* * *
Emma lives a quiet life. She looks after her disabled mother. She lives vicariously through the well-thumbed pages and cracked spines of her beloved books.
* * *
Nathan spends his days fifteen thousand feet above the ground, soaring through the air, stomach somersaulting, as a sky diving instructor. After a lifetime of having a recurring dream that he would die at twenty-seven, he treats every day like it’s his last.
* * *
As fate throws Emma and Nathan together, everything is about to change.
* * *
Emma has never been kissed, or tasted champagne, or travelled abroad. Nathan has never fallen in love, worn odd socks, or grown a sunflower from a seed.
* * *
Emma and Nathan vow never to waste an hour, knowing that goodbye could come all too soon. But as they lose their hearts to one another against all the odds, have they found each other too late?
* * *
An utterly heartbreaking yet ultimately uplifting novel about the redemptive power of love and how the end isn’t the end at all... Fans of Jojo Moyes, Jodi Picoult and Diane Chamberlain will lose their hearts to Catherine Miller’s stunning story.

The Day that Changed Everything
A Letter from Catherine
Dear Reader,
* * *
I wanted this story to centre on the many different loves we experience in a lifetime. Love and life are such complex things, and it’s important that we seek the joy even amongst the despair. I hope you have recognised some of your own amongst this story. I also hope that, like Tabitha, you will go on to find whatever love it is that makes you happy.

I hope you loved The Day that Changed Everything and if you did I would be very grateful if you could write a review. Every one of them is appreciated and I’d love to hear what you think. It makes such a difference helping new readers to discover one of my books for the first time.

I love hearing from my readers – you can get in touch on my Facebook page, through Twitter, Goodreads or my website.

Lastly, go and find your new love… Be it a season. A pet. A project. A hobby. Fall in love with life for all it has to offer.
* * *
Love, happiness and thanks,
Catherine x

I think this is the first time a book idea has been gifted to me by a dream. It was one of those complete dreams that offered specific details and in this one I became a foster carer in a bungalow that I called the Bunk-a-low. So Tabitha, Syd and Max have my dream to thank for the silly name and the creation of their stories. I did name my mum’s house ‘The Happy House’ when asked as a child what it should be called, so, historically, naming houses has never been my strong point!
A massive thanks to the Bookouture family. It has been an immense joy to work with Christina and the team. Kim, Noelle and all the Bookouture authors – you rock! I also need to extend a thanks to my agent, Hattie Grunewald. Without her input, I’m pretty sure I’d write all the bad ideas as well as the good ones and would be nowhere near as far along this road.
I have to give a shout-out to all my family and close friends for assisting me with this one. I’ve had to hermit away a bit to get this one done and they’ve not only helped, they’ve also kept me sane! So a massive thank you to Mum, Nan, Ben, Amber, Eden, Tara (now a fully qualified writer’s dog and Lofty is entirely based on her characteristics!), Vee, the Thomson clan and Sarah. Your cheerleading and babysitting skills are second to none.
My writing group, The Romaniacs, who are always such a constant source of inspiration and energy. Thank you to Celia, Debbie, Jan, Laura, Lucie, Sue and Vanessa. Your collective successes leave me constantly amazed and I hope we continue to venture further than we ever imagined possible. It seems suitable to also thank Karren. She plays an amazing role within my working life without even realising it – every group should have an imaginary work buddy who tells them off when they’re slacking.
For the purpose of research for this book, I’d like to thank my social-worker friends who’ve helped me. Like Max says at the end: thank you for what you do often in impossible circumstances.
Regarding the geography of this book, I’ve inserted a fictional village into surrounding real villages. It’s near where I grew up so most of the landmarks are genuine, but the geography is not entirely correct as Little Birchington is really a cluster of fields.
As always, thank you to all the readers, reviewers and bloggers. I’m constantly astounded by your wonderful support.
