“Get the fuck out of my house!” I yelled before going upstairs and taking a shower.
When I heard Chad was still alive, I was pissed. I emptied a whole clip into his ass. There was no way in hell that he could still be alive. I had to find and kill him before he came gunning for me. Especially since he now know that I played a role in killing his grandmother.
Chapter 34
Chasity
I sat in the diner for two hours waiting for Chad to show. I was about to leave until I saw his all black BMW pull up. He got out of the car and took my last breath away; Chad was so handsome. I regretted the day I betrayed him. I should have told him about Vic, and then maybe it would have been me in Cinnamon’s shoes.
“What’s so urgent you needed to talk to me about?” Chad asked towering over me.
“Have a seat please.”
“Man, Chas, here you go with the games. The only reason I came is because you told me it would be worth it, but if you on some lets me and you get together type of shit, you can dead that now. My wife and I are working it out.”
“Chad, can you stop smelling yourself for five fucking minutes? I have some serious shit to tell you, but it’s gonna cost you,” I said getting down to the point.
“Does it always have to be about money with you?” he asked.
“Unfortunately, yes,” I replied.
“Tell me what it is. If it’s good enough then, I might be willing to pay for it.”
I pulled out a picture of Honey chained to a pole and slid it to him. When he realized what he was seeing, his eyes grew as big as saucers. I shook the folder letting him know I had more where that came from.
“Who the fuck has her?” he asked raising his voice.
“That not free information.”
“Chasity keep fucking with me and I’m going to blow your head off your shoulders.”
“You do that and you’ll never find your sister-in-law,” I smirked.
“How much?’
“Five hundred thousand for the information on who have her and it’s an additional five hundred thousand for the location. If you want me to set everything up for you, that’s gonna cost you two million dollars.”
“Two million dollars, Chasity, are you out of your fucking mind?”
“No, I’m just tryna get away and start a new life. I need the money! I’m sure you and Rob can come up with two million dollars. Hell, I bet that amount of money will come out of your nose if you sneezed.”
“I don’t know what you’re trying to pull here, but this better be legit.”
“Trust me, Chad, it is.”
“Do you still have the same account information that I used to wire you the money?”
“Yup.”
Chad pulled out his phone and started clicking away on it.
“Before I send you this money, I want everything.”
“Your brother has Honey. He has her locked away in the old warehouse on 153rd street. He also wants me to set you up, so that he can finally kill you. I can make it look like I’m setting you up and you can come in and kill him, but that’s gonna cost you three million.”
“I thought you just say two.”
“I changed my mind. Do you want my services or nah?”
“Yeah, set it up.”
“Good. It was nice doing business with you, Chad Green,” I said sliding him the folder with all the information I just gave him enclosed inside.
“Chasity.”
“Yes.”
“Why did you send those pictures to, Cinnamon?”
“What pictures?” I asked confused.
“Never mind, good looking out.”
“Anytime. Once, I have all my money, I’ll tell you when you can move. You might want to hurry up and send my all my coins because that poor pregnant girl is really suffering,” I said getting up and walking out of the diner.
I made sure I wasn’t being followed before I headed to the hotel I was staying in. I called Vic and let him know that everything was set and ready to go. I really did hope Chad made it out alive this time around. Once my money was sent to my account I sent Chad the day and time. Dumbass let little ol me pull one over them. I thought, laughing my rich ass off.
Chapter 35
Rob
Since the day I got shot, shit has just been going downhill. The only good outcome out of all of this drama was that my nigga Chad wasn’t dead. I checked into a hotel so that I could have a place to lay my head. I had every intention on going back home. I just decided to give Honey some space. Thy day I left was the day my nightmare began……..
Throwing my last suitcase in the closet, I decided to order some room service. As I was browsing through the menu, my phone started to ring. Since Honey didn’t want me to come to the doctor with her, I asked Cinnamon to give me the scoop on everything that happened.
“Hey, Cinnamon, how did it go?” I asked answering the phone.
“Did you talk to Honey?” she asked me with a concerned tone in her voice.
“No, she’s supposed to be at the doctor with you, y’all ain’t go.”
“When I left the house, we made plans to meet up there. I’ve been sitting here for three hours and Honey ain’t show up yet.”
“Did you try the house?”
“Yes, but she wasn’t there, her car is gone too.”
“Fuck! Cinnamon, let me call you back,” I said before hanging up the phone.
I prayed that Honey didn’t decide to up and leave while she was carrying my fucking baby. I got up and threw on some clothes and headed home. The whole drive home all I could think about is Honey taking the baby away from me.
When I made it home, I cursed myself for giving Honey the key back. I walked around the house and noticed the bathroom window slightly open. Pushing it all the way up, I squeezed my body through the entrance and jumped inside. I landed wrong causing me to twist my ankle.
I walked slowly around the house looking for clues. When I walked into our bedroom, all of her clothes were still there. Breathing a sigh of relief, I was about to call her mother until I spotted something on the floor. Sticking my finger in it, I brought it to my nose and took a whiff of it. It was then my worst nightmare was confirmed. Honey didn’t run off, somebody kidnapped her.
I rounded up the whole squad and asked that they meet me at the spot. We had to go over every clue and detail to try to figure out who was
to my behind taking Honey. My first thought was them Jamaican niggas. I was pissed that we signed a peace contract and they still wanted to be on that beef shit.
“Rob, we don’t know if it’s the Jamaicans or not so we can’t just go retaliate like that.”
“Then who could it be?” I asked on the verge of a mental breakdown.
“We gon’ find out. Derico put the word out on the streets that I’m giving fifty large ones to anyone that have any information on Honey,” Chad said. “I’mma call up that P.I I added payroll and have him look into a few things.”
I spent the rest of the day searching high and low for Honey. I even tracked her car with the built in GPS sensor that they started putting in the cars and I still came up short. I did find her car in the parking lot of a grocery store, but there were no signs of her. After watching the car in the same spot for a few days, I figured her abductors ditched it or was using it to throw me off. I called the tow company and had them come tow it back to the house.
I flipped Honey’s car upside down and inside out looking for something that would link me to whoever took her. This was a well-calculated plan, which made me think it had to be the Jamaicans. The only other person I had real beef with was Carter and he was dead.
“Come to the spot now!” Chad yelled into the phone bringing me back to reality.
We were now on week two of Honey being missing and I was starting to get nervous. I just hoped whoever had her would spare both her and the baby’s life. I peeled myself out of bed and handled
my hygiene before seeing what was so urgent that Chad wanted to meet at 5am in the morning.
Arriving at the spot, the only people that were there was Chad and Derico. I took a seat next to Derico and across from.
“I got some information that you gon thank me for,” he said sliding a folder across the table to me
Looking through the folder at the pictures, my blood began to boil. Honey’s condition in the pictures were so bad that tears began falling out of my eyes. She was so bloody and in bad shape that I didn’t even know if the baby was still alive. This was all my fault. All she wanted was for us to raise our baby together, but I was too stubborn to at least compromise with her. I swear God forbid anything happened to her or my baby, I was gonna go on the worst killing spree Miami had ever seen. I was gon’ be on some Boston massacre shit.
“Where you got this from?’ I asked Chad.
“The P.I, she sent me their location; we make a move in the morning,” Chad said.
“Why are we waiting until the morning? Let’s move now!” At this point, I was too impatient to wait another day. This was a matter of life a death.
“You sure?” he asked pulling out his phone texting who I assumed was the P.I he hired.
“I’m positive!”
We suited up and headed out to bring Honey home. Vic better pray that Honey didn’t break a nail while she was with him or I was busting caps in his ass. When arrived to the massive warehouse within minutes.
“How we gon’ do this? We only got one shot. We have to get it right the first time or else it’s going to get real ugly,” Derico said.
“I know. I was thinking we surround the place. I doubt Vic has security since he think he was able to fool us into thinking the Jamaicans have her,” I replied.
“Here’s what we gonna do, we gonna walk through those side doors, they should be unlocked. Honey is going to be standing in the middle of the warehouse tied to a pole. Rob, you’re gonna run and untie her and Derico and I gon cover you,” Chad said.
“Sounds good, but what if we’re out numbered?” I asked.
“Don’t worry about all that I got it covered,” he replied.
“Ok well let’s go get my wifey and bring her and my unborn seed back home in one peice.
The moment we walked in the door, bullets started flying everywhere. At that moment, that was when I realized whoever gave Chad the information, set him up. I pulled out my gat and started spraying back and then dashed to where Honey was tied up.
“Nooooo!!!” I yelled out when she was hit with a bullet that made her drop instantly.
Derico jumped up and tried to shoot Vic but he was too slow. Vic hit him with a bullet between the eyes that split his head in half like a watermelon. The air was thick with smoke as I tried to maneuver over to Honey.
When I finally made it to her, she was laying there limp like a rag doll. I bent down to see if she had a pulse, it was barely there, but she was still alive. What made me really nervous was the stream of blood that trickled from between her legs. It was so much blood that I feared the worst. I uncuffed her from the pole and threw her over my shoulders and carried her outside. When I walked back inside the warehouse, Vic had Chad at knifepoint.
“Dear brother we meet again,” Vic said. “This time I’m going to kill you the same way your bitch ass grandmother died.”
That comment made Chad lounge towards Vic and caused him to suffer a stab wound to the abdomen. Vic was about to stab Chad again, but I ran full speed and tackled him to the ground.
“This is what it came down to? We used to be boys.”
“Used to! That was before I realized that your ass ain’t give a fuck about anyone, but yourself,” I said raising the gun to let off a shot only to hear my gun click signaling I was out of bullets.
Vic raised his gun to my dome and gave me the look of death. I closed my eyes and prayed that God would watch over Honey and my unborn. I also asked God to be kind enough to save me a spot. I know I lived a life of sin, but everything that I did was for me to survive. I’m sorry Honey… It wasn’t supposed to end like this.
POW! POW! POW! POW!
Epilogue
“Not only was he my friend and business partner, but he also became my brother. It hurts that he had to leave us so soon, but I guess God had better plans for him. RIP Soulja you will always be missed,” Rob said wiping the tears from his eyes. “Thugs don’t die they live in the sky,” he said releasing his white dove.
Everyone followed as they released their doves and allowed them to fly up to the heavens. Today was a beautiful sunny day at South Beach. The sun was shining bright; the ocean water was a nice, shimmery blue as the crystal waves crashed against the shore. In honor of their fallen soulja’s birthday, they decided to come to this peaceful place and have a cookout.
Rob looked over at Honey who was hugging Cinnamon. This was something he vowed he would never have Honey experience. This past year; he outsmarted death twice, the third time was always the charm. So instead of being heavy and active in the streets, he decided to be on his boss nigga shit and run things smoothly from behind the scenes.
Chad was on the grill barbecuing, while Vivian and Denise chased the kids around. Everyone was all wrapped up celebrating Derico’s birthday. He was Chad’s cousin who came in the game young. He didn’t even get to experience to its full extent. He was robbed out of his youth because he wanted to be a street nigga. In addition to celebrating Derico’s birthday, the fellas were also celebrating their life after almost suffering a tragic encounter with death.
If it wasn’t for Chasity coming in and killing Vic that day in the warehouse, things would have ending horribly for them. The night of the set up Chasity stood in the corner and watched it all go down. Apart of her just wanted to take the money and run, but she wouldn’t have been able to live with herself if she allowed Vic to kill Chad.
Plus she planned on skipping town with all of Vic’s money and she didn’t want him to come after her. After all, they did say that only one of them would make it, so she was determined to be the last one standing. After putting three bullets in the back of Vic’s head, she delivered another two sealing his faith. She then removed all the guns that could possibly incriminate Chad.
Dumping the gun in the river she used a pay phone and made the anonymous 911 called that saved everybody life. With her newfound wealth, Chasity moved to New York to start her own clothing line. Everybody looked at her as the conniving crack head, but what they failed to notice was that everyone had a story. She wasn’t a crack head once upon a time; she used to be the sweetest girl.
“Stop doing all that running while you carrying my baby,” Rob said grabbing Honey into a big bear hug. Wrapping his hands around her waist, he rubbed her belly. She was now thirty-eight weeks and ready to pop at any minute.
“Running is good for me, maybe that’ll help this little boy come a little faster.”
“The only thing that’s gon make that child jump out and into this world is if Rob penetrate that thang,” Vivian said setting the picnic table.
“Ewww ma!” Chad whined covering his ears.
“Boy stop, how you think you came into this world four weeks before your time,” Viv replied causing everyone to laugh.
“Listen to her, Honey, trust me she talking the truth. If I wasn’t doing flips on the dick, your big headed ass would have stayed another nine months in my womb,” Denise added on.
“Uh-uh mama y’all a mess,” Honey said smearing barbecue sauce all over her ribs.
“Thank, God, I don’t have them type of problems,” Cinnamon interjected taking a bite of her cheeseburger.
Chad gave Cinnamon the side eye as he prepared food for the kids. They sat the kids at the kiddie table they brought along. Chad placed the food in front of them along with a container of Capri Sun juice box and encouraged them to eat all of their food.
“Take a walk with me bae,” Chad said putting his arm around Cinn
amon.
“What’s up bae?”
“Nothing, I just wanted to tell you how much I love you,” he said kissing her on the lips.
“I love you too bae!” she smiled.
“I know that past year I put through a lot and I just want to apologize for everything. You didn’t deserve any of it.”
“I know bae and I forgive you for it all.”
“I have a question,” Chad said taking a seat on a huge rock, pulling Cinnamon down in his lap.
“I listening.”
“Now, that CJ is almost two and Julie will almost be one, when will you give me another baby?” he asked.
“It’ll happen on its own,” she answered leaving out the fact that she had an IUD put in after the birth of Julie.
“Damn we might have to go see a doctor. As much seeds as I plant in you and I ain’t see no results yet.”
“Chad, you just have to be patient. A woman’s body changes every time she gives birth,” she said hoping it would be enough to end the baby talk.
“Iigt, cool let’s go eat.”
They both walked hand in hand back to the festivities. Neither of them noticed a jealous Prancer watching them from a distance. When Chad found out that he impregnated Prancer, he did exactly what she wanted him to do.
He gave her a nice five figure check every month to keep her quiet about their daughter. Occasionally, he’d fly out and spend time with her. He planned to never miss a birthday or holiday. Even though he was hiding baby Sky to keep peace in his marriage, he never stopped being a father to her. Sky was a priority to him just like CJ and Julie.
Watching Chad interact with his family, made Prancer want more. She wanted her daughter, Skylar Blue Green to experience the same affection that his other children received. Yes she enjoyed the money, cars, clothes and all the other perks that came with being a boss’ baby mama, but that was it. She no longer wanted to be a baby mama. She wanted her daughter to have a real family. Something she longed to have when she was a child.
Prancer watched their happy little family until they packed up and headed home. She then pulled out her phone and sent Chad a text letting him know that they needed to talk. Prancer just recently moved to Miami from Chicago. Chad had no idea that her and the baby was living right under his nose. Prancer was fed up with living in the shadow; it was time to make her baby known; after all she was a Green too.
