“I’d love to go. Never been to Europe before, always wanted to go.” I watched while he worked his magic in the kitchen. He sprinkled some pepper on the steaks, usinghis fingers to rub it gently into the meat, making certain to coat both sides. The pot of water had slowly started to boil a bit, and steam rose quickly from it.

“Since you are standing around watching, would you mind helping me by putting the asparagus in the basket to be steamed?”

“Sure, baby.” I walked over to the counter where he had already cut the asparagus to be put into the steamer basket, scooped it up, dropped it in, and then put on the lid. “Anything else you want me to do?”

“Just go and relax while I cook. I just asked you to help so I could see you walk away in that nightshirt of yours.”

“Cheeky devil.” I smiled as I made my way over to the couch in the living room.

During the time in which I was watching my shows, I could hear and smell the delicious aroma of his pepper steak being cooked. I looked over from time to time and watched him work his magic. I honestly was getting hungry with all the smells that were coming out of my kitchen. Suddenly, I found myself thinking about how it would be when I came home from a long day at work and Max was cooking in the kitchen of our new home, and a small voice saying, “Mommy!” It was a little girl running around the corner from one of the rooms with a piece of paper in her hand. Her hair was short, dark brown like Max’s, and curly. She wore a cute little orange and yellow, floral print dress with a sunflower in her hair. She ran up to me with open arms and a piece of paper in her hand as I got down giving her a hug. She was beautiful, just like him, but she had my smile and eyes.

I went over to Max, giving him a kiss on the lips as she presented us the piece of paper in her hand. It was a family photo of me, her and Max standing in our garden near the little pond that had koi fish in it. This little girl was our child, our beautiful little girl as we went to the fridge to put up the picture so that we could see it every day. I have to admit that it was a beautiful thought and soon I heard Max say, “Baby, is something wrong?”

Quickly, reality came back to me, as I saw Max looking over at me and felt a tear along my cheek. I gave him a quick smile and shook my head.

  “Oh, nothing is wrong, hon.”

He stopped what he was doing, wiped off his hands, and came to me. “Are you sure you alright? It looked like you were crying.”

“I probably was, but it wasn’t anything bad, just a lovely daydream I was having.”

He sat down next to me with a puzzled look in his eyes while he scanned me with his gaze.

I touched his cheek and told him again, “Nothing to worry about, baby, I’m fine. I was just sitting here watching while you were cooking, and I saw something being played out in front of me. It was such a lovely thought too. I didn’t realize I was crying, but if you had seen what I saw, you would have been a bit misty-eyed yourself.”

He smiled at me and asked, “You want to tell me about it?”

Touching him on the tip of his nose, I said, “Maybe another time.”

  Chapter Sixteen

My head kept bobbing back and forth against the headrest. I had fallen asleep on the way to the bungalow, and when I opened my eyes a bit, the sun decided it wanted to wake me up. Squinting, I shielded my eyes from the glare with one hand while I tried to find the sun visor with the other. I looked over at Max. He smiled over at me beforehe continued watching the road as we headed out that morning toward Panama City Beach.

I looked out of the window, as I let out a yawn, finally able to see the beach and rows of cute little beachfront homes in an array of colors from yellow, pink, blue and white.

“How long was I asleep? I asked, rubbing my eyes.

“Since we left Atlanta, actually. You drifted off about fifteen minutes after we left your place. I just let you sleep, but I am thankful you are up now, so you can see the beach. We shouldn’t be too far now from the place, but we will need to make a run to the store to get our groceries for the weekend.”

That’s when we came across a Publix store and pulled into the parking lot of the shopping center.

When we got inside, we started to pick up all of what we had wanted to eat, like fruits, vegetables, bread…you know, stuff like that. When we came across the dairy aisle, as Max was looking over the eggs, my eyes went straight toward something I hadn’t seen in years…chocolate whipped cream in a can. It was like the damn thing was a magnet that drew me in, as I immediately made my way to it. I cradled the can as if it were some kind of relic from an archeological dig and let out a sigh.

“What you got there?” he asked as he came over with our cart. “Oh, chocolate whipped cream, I see.”

“And we are so getting it too, because it will go great with my sundae, you know.” I grabbed another can before putting them both in the cart as we continued down the aisle.

After getting our groceries, we were on the road again to our destination.

“We aren’t too far from the house now. That Publix wasn’t there before when I use to come and visit. Thankfully, we are here when it’s not flooded with tourist and stuff, because if we were, then the street would be bumper to bumper with cars. Well, here is the place right here.”

We stopped in front of a very modest, yellow bungalow with a small, white wooden porch big enough for two people to occupy. Pulling up into the driveway, I noticed that house was bigger than I imagined. When we got out, I took in a deep breath, smelling the ocean all around me. It smelled so good.

“Go open up the door, sweetheart, and open up some of the windows to air out the place.” Max threw me the key and I made my way up the steps to the porch, hearing the wooden boards creak a bit and praying I wouldn’t end up going through the porch on my first day there. But thankfully, that didn’t happen, and I slowly opened up the door as the stuffiness of the house came out.

Walking inside, I noticed it must have been renovated, because it looked like it was nicely done up. The living room looked fresh and clean. I made my way into the dining room area, which had a cute white table with chairs to match with royal blue seat cushions. I crossed to the windows and opened them one by one, letting in the sea air, as the place slowly started to feel more like home. I started making my way toward the back and found one of the guest bedrooms.

Going down the hall farther, I found what must have been the master bedroom, which had a huge, king-size bed, a small loveseat over in the corner, along with a fireplace in front of the bed. I saw a sliding glass door and immediately made my way over to open up the blinds. When I looked out, I saw a small porch with two white Adirondack chairs on it and a stairway that led onto the beach. I quickly opened up the door andstepped out onto the porch. Closing my eyes, I took in the ambiance of the beach, the ocean smell, the crisp air, along with the sun on my face.

“Isn’t it great?” Max said, coming up behind me and taking me in his arms. He rested his chin on my shoulder.

“It’s beautiful out here, Max. I’m so glad you brought me here.” I rubbed his arms lightly while looking out onto the ocean. “Did you bring in the groceries so I can put them up?”

“Yeah, I did. I’ll bring in our suitcases while you put the groceries away.”

“Do you want me to take something out for dinner tonight?”

“No, we are going out tonight for dinner. I know of this seafood restaurant called Boon Docks, best seafood around. So, make sure you get out your prettiest dress, because we are going to go out tonight.”

“Sounds like a great idea. I’ll put everything up.” When I made my way into the kitchen, I found it had a layout very similar to my kitchen at home, so putting things up was a breeze, and I quickly finished my task. I had really wanted to take a walk along the beach, pick up some shells along the way or maybe put my feet in the ocean. Once everything else was in, I made my way back into the master bedroom, while Max was putting his things away in the dresser. “So, what would you like to do right now?”

“Let’s go for a walk along the beach.”

  “Alright, sounds like a plan.”

  * * * *

There is a quote about the ocean that says, ‘As the ocean is never full of water, so is the heart never full of love’. Whoever said this was absolutely correct. The Gulf was a beautiful place, and being there with Max made the moment more beautiful. We didn’t say much of anything at all during our walk. I don’t think Max wanted to spoil the atmosphere with talk. The only sounds I could hear were that of the waves as we came across some shells, stopping off to pick and admire them.

“Look at this sand dollar I found.” I handed him my discovery, and he wiped off some of the sand. I had only heard about sand dollars before; this was the first time I had found one.

“It’s beautiful and big too. I’ve never seen them like this before. I wonder if we can find any more.”

I showed him where I had found the first one, and once we dug around some more, we found five more, but they were smaller than the one I had first found.

“What a find. You know, I could make something nice for the twins with these, probably a picture box for them with these in them. That way, they can see a bit of the beach until they can actually come and see it for themselves,” I told him as we walked over to the water to wash off the sand. I had rolled up my pantlegs to mid-calf, and the cool water felt good on my feet as I washed off the sand dollars until all of the sand was gone. I just stood there while the water continued to come onto the beach, only to leave once again. It was a soothing out there, but of course, Max had to mess it up a bit, for I soon felt water being splashed on me. I looked over to see the biggest, childish grin on his face, as he knew he had done wrong.

  “Oh, no you didn’t!”

Soon, a splash attack ensued between him and me, with me screaming we ran up and down along the water after each other, splashing at each other the entire time. I had to stop after a while, because I was soaking wet from head to toe, to the point that my bra was showing beneath my white blouse.I tried to shake some of the water off, but I needed to take off those clothes and change into something dry.

“Let’s head on back so I can change out of these wet clothes.”

He made his way toward me, but I started to run as fast as I could on the sand, and my wet feet were soon caked with it. By the time I made it to the stairway, it looked like I was wearing shoes but wasn’t. He laughed the entire way up and hooked his finger on the belt loop, pulling me close to his warm, wet body. He wore a blue t-shirt, and it was clinging so tight on his upper body that I could see the outline of his stomach. His chest rubbing against mine, along with the coolness of the wet shirt against my skin, made my nipples want to pop from my bra.

“You are so asking for it, Mr. Taylor.”

“How is that so, Ms. Alexander?”

He ran his fingers along my cheek, and I sighed, for I swear his touch at that moment seemed to scorch my skin. Whenever his chest rose, it rubbed up against mine, only making my nipples even harder.

“Just because you are asking for it, getting me all wet, for one, then rubbing up on me like this.”

“You know you feel real good right now like this.” He started to kiss along my neck, and I swear, I nearly creamed my panties just from his touch. “Let’s go and jump in the shower and rest up for tonight.”

He took my hand and led me back inside our bungalow. Once we dusted off most of the sand from our feet, we made our way to the bedroom. He held me tightly around my waist while hecontinued to suck and bite along my neck. His hot tongue and soft lips made me bite my own lip to keep from moaning, which I honestly didn’t know why I even did that, because I ended up moaning anyway.

I grinded up against his cock, feeling it grow harder with each rub. I could taste the salt water on my lips and skin, as I ran my fingers through his wet hair, grabbing the back of his head as squeezed my breasts. A moment later, he tore open my blouse. My breasts felt cool when they were left alone, but Max cupped them once more, and the searing heat of his touch made me yelp. I pulled his face up from my neck, as I moved to face him and his lips.

We kissed feverishly, while I began unhooking my bra and he took off his shirt. Our wet clothing dropped to the floor with a splat.

“Why is it that I can’t seem to keep my hands off of you?” He grabbed my breasts in those large hands of his, taking a nipple into his mouth to suckle on.

My head went back, and I looked up at the ceiling while he went from one breast to the other.

“Come on and let’s take that shower,” I told him, but when he hoisted me up by my waist over onto the bed, I knew he had other plans. He began taking off his jeans and his boxer briefs before he leaned over the bed. Max frantically began to unbutton my wet jeans, dragging them down my thighs. There I lay in bed, wearing nothing more than some half-soaked cotton panties, and he stood over me to rip them off by the side of my waist. I grabbed him by the head, and we continued kissing even more, both our bodies wet from ocean water but hot from our body heat.

“I don’t think I will ever be able to keep my hands off of you, Sarah.” he kissed me even more as my body and mind succumbed to his kisses and hot touch.

We never did get to go to Boon Docks that night.

When I woke up the following day, I could hear Max softly breathing next to me. I looked over, as I slowly got out of bed. Once I found a t-shirt from the drawer, I made my way into the kitchen, as I’d promised I would make us breakfast that day. I had gathered the syrup, butter, and cups for our coffee, along with the silverware, and put them on the table. Going into the cabinets, I pulled out the pancake mix for pancakes, and decided to add sausage to the menu for that morning. Max wasn’t the only one who could cook something up in the kitchen. But you know, it’s nice to have someone cook for you…especially a handsome man like Max.

But it was my turn to surprise him with breakfast. Once I had everything set up, putting it all together would be a breeze. I began mixing the batter for the pancakes, adding some blueberries that I had gotten from the fridge, when I saw him coming from around the corner, wearing nothing more than a pair of black boxer briefs.

“Good morning.” He came over and gave me a kiss on my cheek.

“Good morning, love. Can you make the coffee for me, please?”

He nodded and went into the cabinet to get the coffee and filters for the coffee maker. It didn’t take long before the kitchen really started to smell like breakfast, especially once the coffee started to percolate within the pot.

“Do you need any help?” he asked.

“No, my dear, I don’t. You can go sit down and wait until I fix our breakfast. How many pancakes you want?”

  “How about four?”

“Alright then, four it is.” I smiled while I began to make some of my famous blueberry pancakes. The kitchen really started to smell good once I started in on our food. I stacked one finished pancake on top of the other on a plate, while the sausage links sizzled in another pan. I grabbed some glasses and cups for our milk and coffee and began to pour our drinks. I walked over to the table, where he sat sprawled in his chair, a smile on his face as he watched me.

“Everything should be done pretty soon. Did you want some orange juice too?”

He shook his head, and I walked back to the stove to finish off the rest of our pancakes. I only needed to make three more. I only wanted two, because they always filled me up so fast. When the sausage was almost done, I went into the cabinet again to get a small saucer and grabbed a piece of paper towel to capture the grease from the sausage. Once I was done with his pancakes, I brought both his plate and the sausage to him. As I set the plates before him, he looked like a little kid, all excited and smiling.

  “It looks delicious.”

“Wait until you taste them.” I smiled as I went to finish fixing mine.

When I got back to the table, he had already cut into his pancakes, pouring the syrup over them
before he dug his fork into the stack. I waited for him to taste them, so that, way I would know if he liked them or not. He took a bite, and then he smiled real big and let out a moan.

“It just melts in your mouth, it’s so good.”

I smiled and I started in on mine, as well, and we didn’t talk much while we ate, for Max kept moaning over his pancakes, which honestly made me laugh. But once we were done, he sat back, drinking some of his coffee. I was about to start on cleaning, but he stopped me.

“Don’t worry about that. I’ll clean up. Why don’t you come here and sit on my lap for a minute and tell me what you want to do today, since we didn’t get the chance to do anything yesterday.”

I put down my plate and then went and sat in his lap. He wrapped his arm around my waist.

“How about we go sightseeing around town today? I’ve never been to Panama City Beach before, not even when I was a teenager for spring break. So, I would love to go and see some of the sights, do a little shopping, and grab some lunch at that Book Docks place, since we didn’t go last night.”

“I like the sound of that. We can get in the car and go sightseeing then.”

“Sounds like a plan. While you are cleaning up the kitchen, I’ll go get a shower.” I got up from his lap, and went on into the bedroom and started to get ready.

Max took me to some fun places, like Gulf World Marine Park, where I got to see some of the dolphin shows. We also went to Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum, which I have to say, was probably the weirdest place I had ever been to. Then Max took me to the one place where I honestly never thought he would take me…a golf park called Pirates’ Island. Honestly, I thought it was corny for us to gothere, but with me beating Max and him making out like he was some crazy pirate, the experience was one I would never forget as long as I lived. By the time lunchtime came around, we made our way over to Boon Docks, and I was ready for some good seafood.
