Neck-Romancer: A Neck-Romancer Novel Page 10

by Elizabeth Dunlap

I leaned my head back to whisper into Alec’s ear. “He doesn’t own me. I do what I want.”

“Gods damn it, Jaz,” Alec swore through gritted teeth, and pushed away from me, leaving my front half cold. “It’s almost impossible for me to keep my distance from you. I’m trying to be respectful of your wishes, so I’m giving you one chance. If you don’t want me to kiss you, and everything that follows that, then go back to the compartment. Right now.”

Blinking, I put a hand to my hip, because I’d already made my choice. “It should take you exactly four seconds to cross from there to me. I'll give you two.”

Pierce scratched harder at the door, my heart took off like a rocket going to space, and Alec was on me before his two seconds were up, kissing me so hard our teeth knocked together.

Our magic swirled around us again, but it was deeper this time, heightening every sensation and all the emotions that settled in my chest. His lips sucked on my skin, his beard scratching down my sensitive neck, and I drowned in the feeling of our magic together. I wanted more, I craved it like a drug.

Alec’s hands left my sides and cupped my breasts, flicking my nipples with his fingers, drawing a moan from my lips that he smothered with his mouth. I responded by placing one of my hands right on his erection, and he hissed for me, pulling away from my lips just enough where I could enjoy the look of pleasurable surprise on his face, especially when I tightened my grip on him and his mouth popped open to suck in a breath.

“This is going to end very quickly if you don’t stop that,” Alec warned, hissing again, and drawing me back for another kiss.

“That’s the thing about me, Alec.” I captured his bottom lip between my teeth and let it go as I looked up at him. “I don’t like being told what to do.”

Though he hadn’t taken his vape pen out, smoke started coming out of his nostrils, swirling around his face so the only part of him I could see was his steel grey eyes.

  Cold steel and smoke.

Ahh shit, this was so happening.

Alec picked me up, cradling me with his hands on my ass cheeks, and he set me down on the sink counter, immediately taking his hands from my ass to under my dress, pulling my panties off with one smooth motion.

The scratching noises continued with such intensity, I was worried Pierce might break the door, but all thought left my brain when Alec’s fingers slowly moved a path from my knee to my inner thigh. His other hand had me firmly around my neck, holding me in place beneath his lips, so close I could touch them if he let me move even an inch, but he had me immobile beneath him.

I jumped as his fingers came closer to my center, gently parting my legs so he could access the wet heat between them, and he moved his hips to fill the space so I couldn’t close my knees no matter what he did to me. My magic burst erratically in tune with my erratic heartbeat, and he captured the tendrils of my power with his own as firmly as his grip around my neck. When he reached out and ran a single finger up my slit, I felt completely at his mercy, and I was unable to even care.

Alec continued teasing me slowly with that finger, not delving between my folds just yet, driving me insane with need. “Tell me what you think of Pierce.”

  What.

If I hadn’t been so lost in the moment, I might’ve snapped out of it so I could demand to know why he’d ask me something like that, but Alec’s quick nibble on my lips ensured my focus would remain on him.

  “He makes me nervous.”

Slowly trailing around everywhere except where I needed him, Alec’s cold steel held my gaze while his fingertips danced over my skin. “Elaborate.”

Was that more scratching at the door? I could barely hear it with my entire being zeroed in on Alec’s fingers.

“I don’t know, he just… it’s his eyes. The way he looked at me earlier. And I…” I gasped when Alec just barely brushed over my nub, my breath mixing with his. “I like the idea of being his mate. Of being your mate. Neither of you can have a different lover now, and that makes me feel good. No one can take either of you away. You belong to me.”

“Sharing you with a Lycan isn’t exactly my ideal situation…” His fingers brushed over my sensitive spot again, and my hips jerked so hard I lifted off the sink. “But I suppose it could be worse. As long as you’re fine saying those things about men you hardly know.”

A whine found its way out of my throat and Alec ate it up with a grin. “I don’t give a shit how long I’ve known you because I’m about to open that door and let Pierce take over unless you stop teasing me and touch my—”

Alec interrupted me by full on rubbing my clitoris and I screamed so hard my throat felt sore, my knees automatically trying to close, but he wasn’t going to let me get away. My hands came up to grab him as I floundered under his touch, every flick of his fingers making my toes curl.

As if I wasn’t already over stimulated, his magic started moving against mine in a way that made my eyes roll back into my head, sending shooting bursts of pleasure all over me that I knew he felt as well because he moaned long and loud with an intensity I’d only heard from guys getting a blow job.

It took us both a few seconds to get used to the sensation, and Alec recovered first, crushing my lips with his and rubbing at my nub while moving the rest of his hand to slip inside me, thrusting in and out exactly like I wanted him to do with a different appendage.

The friction of our magic, his fingers on me, it was driving me to a fever pitch, and I felt as if every single part of me was about to explode. I hit the edge, my head thrown back so far my neck ached, my breath caught until I saw black creeping into my vision from the lack of oxygen.

“Oh my god, Alec!” I squealed as everything came down at once, and I was coming harder than I’d ever come in my life, so hard I felt like I was about to pass out, like my soul had left my body, and it took more than a few minutes until I came back down and was able to inhabit myself again.

Alec had fallen against me, only staying upright from my arms around him, his face slumped on my heaving chest, having apparently also had a mind shattering climax even though both of his hands had been on me.

I leaned my head against the mirror behind the sink and tried to remember how to move again, jerking slightly when Alec removed his hand from me. He used it to steady himself on the sink and pulled himself up enough to look into my eyes, both of us almost too hazy to focus properly. We were still trying to catch our breath, my heaving so ragged I felt like I’d never breathe properly again, but Alec still leaned in for a tender kiss to steal more of my breath away, his beard scratching against my chin.

“If…” I sucked in more air and tried to slow my breathing. “If you say you love me, I will kick you right in the dick.”

He grinned, trying to laugh amidst our mutual wheezing, and he gently brushed some of my curls back before bending over me and kissing my forehead. “I wouldn’t dream of it, Jaz Neck. And just so you know, you’re correct. I belong to you. Body, soul, and all the other bits. That’s about as sappy as I’m going to get because I need a nap, and not even my soulmate will stop me from getting one.”

Lifting me up, he set me down on my feet in front of him, and I clung to his body as my knees wobbled, almost pulling him down with me.

“Christ, woman, I can’t hold both of us up. You’re lucky I can stand at all.” I reached back to grasp the porcelain sink, steadying us both so we wouldn’t fall face first to the linoleum floor, and Alec came closer to me, hovering over me as he just had, igniting my tired body with the promise of more. “Next time, I’m not stopping after one climax. I’m going to give you so many, you’ll lose count. Soulmates go both ways, Jaz. You belong to me. I have no intention of ever letting you forget it.”

Taking one deep breath as my heart returned to a normal rhythm, my head fell onto his shoulder. “Noted.”

The door finally opened and Pierce came in, turning from wolf to human in one fluid motion. He pulled on the edge of his jacket and ran a hand through h
is hair as he took a few seconds to adjust, his deep eyes making a flush run over my skin, so much so I had to turn away.

“What the hell, Alec?” he admonished as he shut the bathroom door, enclosing the three of us in the small space, and the temperature rose again, in anger instead of passion. “’You belong to me,’” Pierce mocked, waving a hand around in annoyance. “She either belongs to both of us or none of us.”

“Oh my god,” I groaned in a whine, shoving myself away from Alec and keeping my eyes downcast so I couldn’t see Pierce’s face. “She is standing right here, and I am not a squeak toy for you to fight over. Turn back into a wolf, Pierce. It’s not safe for you to be here, which you would remember if you weren’t bursting with testosterone right now. I’m going to the compartment. Make out, screw, tear each other apart, have at it.” I walked past Pierce and reached out for the door handle when Alec spoke.

  “Kiss her.”

I froze, the flush on my body reaching burning heights, I was surprised the shade of my skin hadn’t changed to bright red.

Alec clicked his tongue, no doubt rolling his eyes at the Lycan’s inaction. “I said kiss her, Pierce. You’re only mad because I had Jaz in here and I did everything to her that you’ve been wanting to do since you laid eyes on her.”

My hand started shaking on the door handle. Why was I terrified at the thought of Pierce touching me? It wasn’t that I didn’t want him to touch me. I just… maybe I wanted it too much. Maybe the thought of us together excited me even more than it did when I was with Alec. I was a mess at the prospect of being in Pierce’s arms, and not only were we strangers as Alec had said, I shouldn’t want a Lycan in that way at all.

I’d started trembling so badly, noisily jostling the handle, it took me several moments to realize Pierce hadn’t responded, and I lifted my hand from the door so it would stop.

“She’s clearly not ready for me, and there’s nothing wrong with that, Alec. Also, I don’t need your permission to kiss my mate. I anticipate this is merely one of many face offs we’ll have over the years, and I look forward to more.” His teasing probably meant he had a grin on his face, and I almost turned to see it, but I was still unable to move.

“Hmm,” Alec responded in his thoughtful way, putting his hands into his pockets. “Speaking as man to man, I have to ask. Do you like the pole, or do you like the hole?”

My hair fell over my face as I whirled on him, shouting out, “What the shit?”

Pierce snickered into his hand. “Hole, thank you,” he answered smoothly, not at all offended, even as Alec’s steel eyes looked him over appreciatively. “Not into the pole, sorry to bust that bubble this soon into our relationship. Plus, I should’ve thought the hole part was obvious, considering Jaz is my mate and all.”

Glaring at Alec, I crossed my arms over my chest. “Stop trying to poach my boyfriend.”

Pierce stiffened, turning just enough where he could stare down at me with his hair falling into his eyes, his timid grin making me tremble again. “Boyfriend?”

I turned so fast, I bonked my face against the door, and ran out of the room as quickly as I could with my nose stinging in pain.

Alec and wolf Pierce appeared back at the compartment several minutes later, and this time Pierce stayed at a respectful distance, sitting at Alec’s feet and looking up at me with his puppy eyes. Damn you!

Hours passed and Cauldron was still gone settling the corpse in the hallway that I wasn’t going to think about, and just as I’d started to wonder if our Headmaster would return before we arrived at our destination, he opened our compartment door and walked in, cleaning his hands on a cloth that he stuffed into his pocket.

“Good, you’re all back,” he said. “I was about to send someone after you. We’ll arrive soon, can’t have you lot running all over creation when we have a meeting to attend.”

A tapping sound brought my attention over to Alec as Cauldron sat down near the window. Alec was smirking at me, purposefully running his finger over the pocket square on his jacket where a suspiciously familiar piece of fabric sat that hadn’t been there before.

  He had my panties!

In my haste to get away from Pierce, I’d left without them, and the look on Alec’s smug face said I wouldn’t be getting my underwear back anytime soon. Keeping my eyes on him, I crossed one leg over the other and silently promised to punish him later. My plans would probably end with him punishing me instead, but he’d soon learn how Jaz liked to play.

  Maybe Pierce would too.

Before I could contemplate that too much, because surely it would end with me flushed all over and giving off a scent that would alert Pierce to my thoughts, the train hissed and rolled to a stop at our destination. Cauldron immediately hopped off his seat and started towards the door.

“A moment, please, Headmaster,” Alec started as he stood up and straightened his jacket. “We should probably leave Jaz’s familiar inside the station. As you mentioned, he’s not registered yet. We wouldn’t want to upset anyone at the High Council.”

Cauldron turned briefly and considered it for a few moments, clearly distracted with our impending meeting. “Of course, that should be fine. I’ll go alert the ticket counter, but please don’t be long. I don’t want to see the look on the Chancellor’s face if we’re late.”

Alec waited until we were alone before he gave me a bemused smirk, and I met it with a stern, pinched look, holding my hand out to him.

  “Panties, please.”

“Mmm, took you long enough to ask,” he mused, quirking his mouth even more and stepping closer to me. “No, I think these stay with me. I’m curious to know what it would be like to face off the High Council without any knickers on.”

I went for his pocket, and he dodged me, hovering a few inches in the air. “If you’re so damn curious, how about you go commando then, spell boy. Hand over the drawers or I will hex you so hard, your testicles will deflate like a balloon.”

His smirk grew, and I both loved and hated the way it brought tingles to my stomach. “Such hurtful words, my magical lover. I know for a fact you would prefer my testicles to remain in working order.”

With my lips curling into a thoughtful expression, my eyes dropped to his pants zipper, and I raised a hand, summoning a burst of glowing magic inside my palm. “You willing to bank on that?”

“Okay, Jesus, spells down, Jaz.” He dropped back to the carpet and reached for my underwear as the compartment door opened and the ticket master poked his head in.

“Might want to be pushing off, folks,” he told us, his mouth working like he had one of the butt flavored candies in his mouth. “Train is about to leave.”

Pierce led the way out, down the train car hallway, and to the station platform, all the while staying so close I could feel his soft fur rubbing against my legs. The train hissed again and slowly took off as the steam blew my hair and dress around. It was not the best moment to be without underwear, but thankfully my skirt didn’t flip up too far, and I noted Alec’s smug look as I straightened my clothes once the train had gone.

His smile dropped only slightly as he turned his attention to the wolf beside me. “Pierce, you heard what I said. You need to stay here. We got lucky that the spell I put on you escaped Cauldron’s notice. It might not work on the High Council. They’re the most powerful witches and wizards on the planet, I’d wager my entire inheritance one of them would notice, and that’s one too many.”

Pierce looked up at me when I dipped my chin to meet his glowing eyes. Should I… I don’t know… hug him? Scratch behind his ears and tell him I would be back soon? He wasn’t a pet, but I still wanted to sink to my knees and assure him I would return.

I pat his head a few times. “Good dog. Stay.”

He nudged my leg with his wet snout, and I thought he was being affectionate until I realized he was trying to look up my skirt. My hands flew to cover my crotch and I sidestepped him with a glare
as he chortled at me between his teeth.

Nevermind, he was never learning how I liked to play.

I rolled my eyes as Alec tried to hide his smile at Pierce’s antics, and I spun on my heels, heading towards the train station where Cauldron was waiting for us on the front porch, checking his watch and tapping his leg with his wand. He straightened and turned when I approached, Alec not far behind me.

“Ahh, good. I called a car for us.” Cauldron walked out to the street where an old fashioned car waited, but I stayed still, waiting for Alec to come up beside me.

“Pierce will be okay?” I asked him, and his chiseled features softened as he nodded.

“He’ll keep out of sight, don’t worry.”

Cauldron snapped for us to hurry up, and Alec walked beside me across the street, helping me into the car’s back seat while Cauldron sat in the empty front seat. He put a few Scales into a slot on the dashboard and punched our destination into the digital screen, then the magical car took off down the street before I could fasten my seatbelt.

We hit a bump, throwing me into Alec’s lap where my hand landed right on his tackle. He righted me without a comment and helped me buckle up. I was starting to wonder what was wrong with him when he leaned over to me and whispered in my ear.

“That was good for me. Was it good for you?”

Goddess, I’m going to shoot a fireball up my soulmate’s ass.

Bemused and pleased with himself, Alec settled back into his seat, and I stuffed my hands into my dress pockets, the town rolling past us with every minute that passed until I could see the towering High Council building getting closer and closer, with its dome roof guarded by the statues of wizards long passed, wizards that had shaped our world to become what it was. No doubt one of them was responsible for the Magical Beast war. All I needed was a name and I’d enchant a flock of pigeons to take a massive shit on their statue. That’ll teach them.

With my plan running through my head, the car stopped outside the Council building, and an attendant was right there waiting to open the car doors for us. Alec stepped out and immediately turned to hold his hand out for me to use as I exited the car, and maybe it was from being at the magical capital for the first time, I took it without hesitation and clasped our fingers together after my feet were planted firmly on the pavement.
