One Night In Vegas Page 10

by Odell, Roxie

When he stopped their tour at a remote door that looked like it could be a broom closet, she didn’t quite catch on. He turned the handle cautiously, looking around to see if anyone was watching. His eyes glinted with mischief as he pressed a strong hand against the small of her back to guide her in.

Corrine smiled with nostalgia when she realized it was really a stairwell, the type of place that conjured up filthy memories that she cherished. He scanned the upper corners of the ceiling, and she followed his eye and realized he was checking for security cameras.

“Are you going to seduce me here?” she asked suggestively.

“Eventually,” he rasped. “Though I think what you’re wearing’s already seduced me.” He grinned confidently. “I just thought it’d be nice to take things slow. Call it a force of habit.”

Corrine raised an eyebrow and waited for him to hear himself.

“Well,” he said, grinning. “You know what I mean.”

“So, I don’t have to worry that we’ll get arrested?” she asked with a giggle.

“Ooh,” he said. “I kinda like the idea of you in handcuffs.”

“Not exactly my style, sir, but a little adventure never hurt anyone.” She laughed. “At least, unless it’s a glass elevator.”

He smiled as he closed the distance between their bodies. “Why do you think we keep sneaking into stairwells?” he asked.

Her eyes widened. “That is oddly adorable.”

He leaned down and kissed her. “Are you camera shy, little girl?” he asked wickedly. “Seems to me that wasn’t the case before.”

Her face went hot with a fierce blush.

He laughed. “Now that’s adorable.” He brushed his lips over hers and claimed her mouth with endless, artful kisses. She wanted to kiss him back, but he was in total control, maneuvering her so she could only receive.

“Must you torture me?” she asked.

He laughed wickedly against her mouth and finally relented, slowing his kisses to allow her to catch him as she pleased. His tongue seared hers and she rested her head on his arm as he embraced her, enjoying the press of his strong bicep against her cheek. She was completely surrounded by him as their faces crushed together.

Finally, they pulled apart and both took a deep breath at the same time as they slowly ascended the stairs. Her legs felt like lead. The sexual tension was so thick between them that she could hardly move. Fortunately, Corrine’s room was only on the second floor, so they stopped every few steps and sipped the sweet wine of each other.

Derrick danced her to the wall and ravished her. His hands found the inside of her robe, and he pushed the garment toward her shoulder and pressed his lips to her ticklish, soft skin there.

“We’d better get to the room before we go any further, mister,” she squealed against his lips.

“I have something I really need to take care of,” he said cryptically.

“That’s too bad,” she said, uncharacteristically bold. “I thought maybe you might like to relive a hot moment on the stairs.”

“Lady, I’d make a hot moment with you anywhere, but we could get caught,” he whispered in a tone that seemed to turn the statement into a dare.

Corrine didn’t move and just waited for more, and he quickly picked up on her desire for him to keep talking.

His words were puffs of air against her neck as he asked, “What would happen if I was inside you and someone walked in? What would we do?”

Reeling, she could only offer him a shrug for an answer. After a moment, she meekly countered, “What would you do?”

“I’d keep going,” he said seductively. “I can’t imagine being able to stop.”

“Oh,” Corrine said, feeling as if she might faint with desire any second.

“I’d have to keep going, in and out,” he whispered.

  Chapter 10

  She whimpered.

“And in and out,” he taunted again.

  “Derrick…” she pleaded.

He stood up straight and took her key card to let them out of the stairwell. “Lead the way, milady,” he said, his hands swimming all over her.

She found proceeding difficult when he cupped her breast and gave her erect nipple a firm pinch. “Stop!” she said and playfully slapped him. “Can’t you be a bit patient?”

  “Not with you,” he teased.

She giggled nervously. The erotic effect he had on her was stunning and paralyzing all at once, and her legs seemed to firmly plant themselves on the floor, not allowing her to take another step.

“Is there a problem?” he asked as his hand found other places to touch.

“Not necessarily,” she said, finally finding her voice and her will to move.

“Nice place,” he commented as Corrine let them in her room.

Then, just like that, the moment they’d both waited for since she left Vegas the last time was finally upon them: the moment of their hot reunion. They stared at each other, and the heat between them penetrated them both, flowing between them and swirling through them, causing them both to tremble. Derrick had had a bit more to drink than she did, but he was none the worse for wear. The look in his eyes was an unspoken invitation, one Corrine readily accepted, and he did not come empty-handed.

“What’s this?” she asked, more as an icebreaker than anything.

“A nice little addition for our get-together,” he eased. “I bought it on the way over.”

She took the paper bag and pulled out an unopened bottle of Riesling and set it on the table. Next, she pulled out a pint of raspberry sorbet, from the ice cream shop where they’d had their spat.

“You went back in there after that scene we caused?”

“Sure. I had to make nice with the dip-boy. He was pretty peeved at me that first time. It thought he was going to hit me with his ice cream scoop,” Derrick joked.

Once that explanation was out of the way, he took Corrine’s face in his hands and kissed her hungrily. He spun her around till her buttocks brushed the tabletop and knocked the sorbet over. When she leaned up against the furniture, she actually felt the chill of the dessert against her back. It was a strange sensation, a shiver from the ice cream and all that heat coming from him. She was a-swirl with a sensual explosion, feeling a bit like a hot fudge milkshake herself.

Derrick pulled away from her just long enough to fish around for some plastic spoons. He scooped a bit of sorbet into two glasses, then poured the Riesling over it. “I’m not sure how this will taste,” he said. “But it seems like it will be delicious.”

“I’ve already had quite a lot to drink, Mr. Quinn,” she purred. “Whiskey can do strange things to a girl, you know.”

“So can I,” he teased with a wink.

  “Yes, I know you can.”

“Don’t worry,” he said. “I’ll be a complete gentleman.”

“You’d better not,” she retorted. “Or I’ll hit you with an ice cream scoop myself!”

“In that case, I’ll be sure to throw chivalry out the window,” he promised darkly.

He scooped out some more sorbet into a separate dish, and Corrine instinctively opened her mouth, waiting for him to feed her. It was sweet and tangy, too cold for her tongue at first, but it melted quickly, and she eliminated her brain freeze with a swig from the wine bottle.

  “A straight-from-the-bottle gal, huh?”

“Just a little,” she whispered. “I want to stay clearheaded for this.”

“I don’t think I can be clearheaded when it comes to you,” he murmured, then took the bottle and had a drink of his own. He then picked up the sweet cocktail and took a small sip. “Mmm, it’s delicious but dangerous, sorta like someone I know.”

Corrine took a small swallow of the dessert cocktail and was almost instantly hooked. She could see herself easily getting drunk off it, and that was not her style. “It’s good, but I don’t want to overdo it, and neither should you, mister,” she warned. She then took the spoon from him and loaded it up to fee
d him some sorbet. She couldn’t help staring as his lips clasped around the silver, something she found intensely erotic. His mouth was an aphrodisiac to her, and she grew more and more aroused with every lick he gave the spoon.

Finally, they both regarded the ice cream container.

“I don’t think I want to finish that,” she whispered. I’d rather finish you, she wanted to say but couldn’t bring herself to be so brash.

“I’ll take care of it,” he said, then very carefully put the lid back on the pint and placed it back in the paper bag. “I don’t think it’ll keep in the mini-fridge. We’d better toss it in the trash before it makes a sticky mess.”

I’d rather make you a sticky mess, she thought with a naughty grin on her face.

Corrine’s room at the Nugget couldn’t even remotely compare to the luxury penthouse she’d occupied at the Tresor, but it would do for their rendezvous. She plopped down on the mattress, bouncing playfully, and then took the bottle of wine from Derrick and enjoyed another sip. As she unfastened her robe and slowly slid it off, he just sat in the overstuffed chair and watched, like a king being entertained.

Naked but for her high heels, she got up and straddled him, working his shirt open. She pumped up and down, giving him a private lap dance. Empowerment raced through her. Derrick’s eyes revealed the truth of her conviction. He was riveted. She watched his pleased grin morph into an almost pained expression, as if he was torn between watching her and pressing his eyes closed in ecstasy.

She bucked her hips upward, grinding over the erection pressing against her center. She could not abstain much longer herself. Her own movements were turning her on something fierce.

Corrine touched herself slowly and only briefly as Derrick picked her up tossed her onto the bed. He removed the rest of his clothes and grabbed a condom before crawling up on the bed and smiling.

“You look good enough to eat.” He licked the side of his mouth.

  “Please?” She whimpered.

Keeping his promise to avoid all things gentlemanly, he swiftly thrust into her, but he wasn’t harsh about it. She was wet and ready for him, not to mention more eager than she had ever been with any man. She drew in her breath deeply, relishing the way he filled her.

Her breasts were pebbled tips, and he suckled her as his hands splayed on the rounds of her buttocks. He pushed her up against him so he could drive as deeply as possible into her, and she let out a moan the likes of which he’d never heard before.

“Does that feel good, baby?” he asked softly, already knowing the answer.

Corrine loved it when he talked to her, and his deep, commanding voice seemed to echo straight to her core, hurtling her body’s responsiveness through the roof. The combination of his silken thrusts and his words threatened to make her come far too early. “I’m going to—” She couldn’t even say the word for fear it might set things off within her.

“Is that a bad thing?” he asked softly, as cool as ever.

She struggled to hold off, but she was throbbing deeply at her center.

He laughed softly at her dilemma. “Just let go, love,” he said, kissing her and lapping wantonly at her mouth.

  She shook her head, defiant.

“It won’t be the last time,” he promised.

His words worked their magic, and instantly, Corrine shattered with an intense orgasm. She writhed helplessly as the sweetest ecstasy took possession of her. Some part of her knew he was watching her, but she had no choice but to ride it out.

Derrick continued to pump into her, each stroke sugared by her own pleasure. “Oh, baby,” he muttered.

He commanded her body powerfully as his movements took on purpose. He thrusted into her until his rapturous cries deafened her. Her body hummed, and she wanted to feel her climax to the last, but she couldn’t stop herself from instinctively moving, taunting his pleasure by tightening around him until he was completely spent.

He grunted as he finished, finally rolling over on his back, still connected to her, bringing her with him to lay on his chest. They were just taking a breather.

“Did that feel good, baby?” she whispered, wickedly mocking him in a most delicious way.

His voice deepened as he replied, “You know it did.”

She was thrilled with that answer. It was not that she was insecure about her lovemaking with him, but his confirmation strengthened her confidence. She smiled against his body. “Good,” she replied, very pleased with herself.

They continued enjoying the warmth and comfort of one another’s bodies, but already, their minds were set on their next shared moment. Corrine could already feel it. She wanted more of him, so much more.

Just the thought of sex with Derrick set her insides on fire. Primal need drove her, cravings she couldn’t deny. She slowly sat up and let her thighs drape on either side of him. She pushed down on him gently at first, bringing their breather to an end. Then she rocked against him in slow, soft thrusts.

She stroked his body with feather-light touches of her fingertips, and he shivered with delight. She smiled when she felt his arousal grow between them. She reached for him, gripped him tightly, and pressed him into her wetness, teasing him until he was unbelievably hard.

She quickly reached behind her for a pillow and set it under his head to prop it up. That way, he could effortlessly watch as she touched herself. She brought her fading orgasm back to life, halting when she was just on the brink, and Derrick appeared to be drunk with pleasure as he watched the show. His hand crept over to join hers in teasing her lower body.

Corrine rose up and levered him into her, letting her hips sink down onto him. He filled her completely, and she allowed herself to savor the heightened excitement as she slowly rocked on him. She swung lasciviously, gyrating this way and that, cupping and fondling her breasts as Derrick looked her right in the eye.

There were no words this time, but worlds of messages wafted out from their gazes. The look in his eyes inspired her, and she was possessed with hot, sexual prowess. She snaked her torso like a belly dancer as she continued to knead her breasts.

  “Beautiful,” he murmured.

He touched her breast, his hot fingers searing her tender skin. The rough skin of his fingers tweaked her erect nipple, wiring erotic surges to her core. She clenched around his hardness and gasped loudly.

Derrick wove his fingers with hers, and they held hands as she pumped. She tucked her feet and pushed up and down, pistoning off him. He took hold of her hips and helped her so she could lift even higher and come down on him with more force.

Then, in a blur, he tipped her over and drew her knees up around him so he could drive into her. Side by side, they worked, not furiously but slowly and lazily. The rush of sexual excitement washed through her in electric waves, and her breath quickened as her heartbeat filled her ears.

Corrine lifted her ankle up onto his shoulder. He touched her, pressing his thumb between her legs. She pushed up against his pumping action, moving in a counter-rhythm. She could no longer wait, so she allowed her body to dissolve into endless ripples of ecstasy. Each spasm hammered through her, reverberating with the sweetest pleasure she’d ever felt. She was totally immersed, so much so that she couldn’t move.

Derrick wailed as he was struck by a powerful orgasm of his own, spending himself entirely inside her. Once again, they were a shaking, quivering, spasming mass, moaning all the while and touching each other frantically, the bliss rolling through them.

Finally, he awoke from his erotic reverie, pressing his hands more solidly on her body. He drew her to him, and they cuddled together on the sumptuous hotel bed. “Woman,” he declared.

  “Man,” she replied in kind.

His arms snaked around her, securing her in warmth and comfort. Corrine loved the feel of his embrace, and she was ready to fall asleep that way, never wanting him to let go.

Derrick and Corrine crawled under the covers and dozed. Hers was a deep, intense sleep, since being with him
seemed to quiet her spirit. She was at peace in his arms, like that was where she ultimately belonged, right there beside him.

  Chapter 11

They awoke early at the same time. Corrine felt Derrick stir in the dark, and she smiled. Her mind was clear, and she wasn’t sure she’d ever felt so satisfied and rested. There is nothing better than waking up next to him, she decided.

“Morning,” he said in the dark, sensing that she was also awake.

  She smiled. “How are you?”

“Happy,” he said with certainty, reaching for her. “I haven’t felt this way in a very long time.”

“Me too,” she said, giving his hand a firm squeeze.

He planted a soft kiss on her shoulder. “I don’t know what your plans are, Miss Smith, but I don’t want you to go anywhere. You’re the first bright spot I’ve had in my life in a long time. Things have been so… dark.”

“That’s really sweet,” she said, overwhelmed. She felt the same way about him, of course, but it was wonderful to hear him say it. “You should write sappy Hallmark cards.”

“It’s not just flattery or exaggeration,” he said, the amusement clear in his voice. He was content.

“This dark time? Are you talking about your marriage?”

  “I am,” he said.

“Did I, um, have anything to do with it?” she asked, suddenly needing to know.

“No,” he said, but then he snappily amended his answer. “Well, actually, yes.”

“Oh,” she said with a groan, suddenly feeling very guilty. Honestly, she was glad he was available to her, but she remembered the enraged woman she saw at the hotel, and she could not imagine what that woman felt like to lose a man like him.

“It wasn’t like that,” he assured her.

  “What was it then?”

“Well, we were in separation limbo for such a long time. Almost the whole marriage was miserable, and it brought out the worst in both of us. For the longest time, I didn’t have the backbone to stand up to her. I don’t mean to speak ill of my ex-wife, but most would agree that she’s not easy to deal with. She really is an awful woman.”
