Caleb kissed her cheek, her hair, and the corner of her lips. A thousand shivers ran from the top of Kira’s head to the tips of her toes.
“Yes,” she whispered, savoring the nearness of him, her arms around his neck. “This is exactly what you think it means. I love you, too, so much more than I ever thought was possible to love someone.”
She paused while Caleb placed the diamond and ruby ring on her left hand. It sparkled under the moonlight like a falling star. A promise of so many good things to come.
Kira pressed herself closer to kiss him, whispering against his warm lips, “My answer is ‘yes’ a thousand times, Caleb Davenport. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!”
