I appreciate my wonderful beta readers, Kara and Claire, so much. Your feedback was extremely helpful and A Dragon’s Body is a better story because of you. I am also very grateful to the wonderful members of 20Booksto50k® for sharing the details of their own journey up the mountain.
I can’t even begin to thank all the family members and friends who have offered their support throughout my self-publishing journey. And to everyone who gave up their time to babysit my kids… you have my eternal gratitude! I wouldn’t have finished this book without your help!
So many thanks and hugs for my parents for their unwavering support. Love you uttmasaba.
To my children, thank you for always making me laugh. And for your nose “boops” and for those sweet snuggles and even sweeter smiles. A little less grateful for the constant interruptions and the disrupted sleep, but hey, you win some, you lose some. I love you beyond words.
Last but not least, thank you to my husband, Mitchell, for blindly trusting me, even if you don’t always understand everything I’m rabbiting on about. You’re my number one. I love you.
Fly fierce, strike strong.

About the Author
I was born in the South Island of New Zealand before my family and I moved to Australia when I was two years old. We lived on a yacht for a few years and travelled along the east coast of Aussie and across the Pacific Ocean to New Caledonia. My parents home-schooled us while we sailed the seas until we bought a house on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. I finally got to go to “real-school” and loved it – I couldn’t understand why we had weekends (because, according to my husband, I’m just a big nerd).
Shortly before beginning high school, we moved north to a rural property near Mackay. The big draw card was that I could finally buy my own horse, a dream I’d had since I was a little girl. On my first day at my new school, I met a boy on the bus who teased me mercilessly; nine years later we were married!
I started writing my first fantasy novel when I was twelve but abandoned it after deciding that being an author wasn’t a “real” job and therefore not worth pursuing. After completing my secondary schooling, my parents encouraged me to experience the real world before committing to a university degree. So, I applied to be a rider in a travelling horse show! Unfortunately, I wasn’t successful so instead I did the complete opposite and got a job as an insurance broker. I worked in insurance for seven years before leaving to start a family.
My husband and I have now welcomed two children into our lives – a pigeon pair. I feel very fortunate to be able to stay at home and care for them whilst my husband works away. It’s tricky finding the time to write with two small children but, as they say, where there’s a will, there’s a way! I can’t wait to get started on my next book and am looking forward to sharing many more stories with you!
