“Me, too!” she gasped.
He yanked her hair harder, and she cried out. He bucked hard against her, filling her with his thickness. She shouted with each thrust as her body began to shudder. She wrapped her legs around him and clawed his back as she erupted.
“Ohhhhhhhh, yeeeeeessssss!” she yelled.
He growled through his teeth, and he began to release inside her. She could feel his cock pulsing as he came, and his body jerked erratically as he snarled deep and wild. He tilted his head toward the sky as he thrust against her once more, and then he collapsed atop her, his weight a comforting shield against the world.
The two of them fought to catch their breaths, tangled in each other’s arms as the sounds of nature lulled them sweetly from all around. The dogs played nearby, their paws falling on rustling leaf piles.
“I tried to stay away from you,” he said. “God help me, I tried. I didn’t want to face the fear… didn’t want to face another heartbreak. But you consume me. Nothing will ever keep me away from you again. Nothing ever could.”
She snuggled close to him, the embers of their love still smoldering between them. Her head rested on his shoulder.
“I will stay with you until the end of time,” she promised him. “You never have to worry about being hurt again. I would rather die than hurt you.”
“I know,” he said, planting a kiss on the end of her nose. “I trust you.”
As they lay there on the ground, the autumn clouds drifting lazily overhead, something loomed between them that went unspoken. Despite the blue sky and the chirping birds, something sinister lurked about that neither wanted to acknowledge. But they knew they’d have to face it sooner or later.
Eric was out of jail.
