That’s life, right?
I was also very fortunate to get to hang out with an awesome group of Aeon 14 fans in Portland, Oregon last month. We ate pizza, had some beers, and talked about the series we’ve all grown to love. It’s amazing to get to see people as excited about this world as I am, and how it takes on a life outside of Mal. If you have the chance to come hang out, please do. I’m not an extrovert by any means, and I may need to bring notecards so I don’t forget details about my own books, but it was a great time.
As we wrap up Spreading Fire, I’ll be jumping right into A Fire Upon the Worlds. We had to divide some elements in the story between the two books, and I don’t want to leave anyone hanging with the huge events that are unfolding.
We’re heading into Fall, here in Oregon land, which means more dark hours when I hope the baby will sleep. I’ll keep you posted on how that works out.
It’s been a momentous summer for Mal and Aeon 14, and I’m grateful to everyone who’s in it for the long haul. It continues to be an awesome ride. Also, Mal, I did read the Foreword, and I realized I probably don’t say thanks enough. Thanks to you and everyone reading. Many more stories and characters to come, even if there isn’t much sleep in between.
