Seed drips from my cock. Reaching down, grasping my length, I begin rubbing it.
And it feels so good!
Having this ability to watch my mate and touch myself at the same time!
Her back is turned, but her curvy butt is right there, facing me. Knowing what is right beneath her skirt, seed drips from my tip. The memories of her moans fill my ears, and I consider going to her, pushing her to her front and mounting her, penetrating her deep place savagely with all of me.
But she sleeps, and when I move from my hiding spot to stand beside her, she does not wake. I will not wake her, I groan. She needs rest. But I am not tired.
Rubbing vigorously now, feeling the heaviness draw into my balls, staring down at her knowing I have all this power, that she sleeps because she knows I will protect her, my groin tightens.
And tightens more, building like wild rutting, like the thoughts plaguing my head. A breeze rushes through the trees, sounding like a moan, and it does me in. My prick’s head erupts and seed spurts out.
Gritting my teeth, keeping as quiet as possible becomes ever more difficult, I pump into my hand, enjoying the spurts that splatter her back, over her armor, but that makes my groans louder. Thrusting more, needing more, to see more of my seed on her… my excitement builds.
She turns and looks up at me with wide eyes.
My hand stills.
“Kaos?” she says, and it almost makes me erupt again. “What are you doing?” Her gaze leaves mine to trail downward, finding the place where I am clutching myself, unable to pull away.
“Issa,” I groan out, pumping myself once more. “I need…” I do not know what I need.
She sits up, leans back, glances around. “Are we safe?” she whispers.
Growling, “Of course we are! There is nothing in the area around us.” How dare she ask? I am about to show her how safe she is, going to flip her over and finally mount her like a dragon mounts his female, when her hands reach up and curl around my shaft, lightly at first, but when another groan leaves my lips, her fingers curl tighter.
Looking up at me with questioning eyes, my obsession with this human builds chaotically. “Issa,” my voice a warning this time, “if you—” I rasp with need “—touch me further, I will seed your face, your flesh.”
She licks her lips. “No, you won’t.”
“You will listen when a dragon threatens you!” I bellow, but then her mouth swallows my tip and licks the seed clean. My jaw drops open, pleasure and euphoric power slamming into me. She glances up, and I know she sees dumbfounded shock looking back at her.
My bliss roars back to life and gushing into her mouth, she takes my essence in the most deviant way I could possibly imagine. Tangling my hands into her damp hair, wrenching them and clutching her hair to her head, I hold her there—in place—as my groin stiffens to spurt more. Issa’s tongue comes out to slide along the under of my shaft and, groaning deeply, another wave of seed bursts forth.
Swallowing around me, lashing me with her tongue, I throw my head back, spilling into her. My muscles clenching, my legs spread wide as the force of such human deviance clouds my mind deliciously.
Is this how humans mate? Issa gags but she does not move away, only swallowing faster. I press forward, needing her hot mouth covering all of me, and my seed gushes out. Her hands clamp around my cock when I hit the back of her throat. YES! Her moans assail my ears. YES! Popping my eyes open, snapping them back to her, I see tears trail down her cheeks.
YES!
I give her everything left inside me, bending over her, shunting slightly forward and back. Her tiny mouth is not enough, does not let me down where she swallows, and I release her. She falls back with a gasp and I drop upon her, tearing her legs open and thrusting into the tight, wet part of her.
She shrieks, coughs, but still clamps her legs around my hips, opening herself for me.
Submitting.
Thrusting hard now, forcing her body open, she strangles me everywhere. My hips dance chaotically, slamming her to the ground. Yes, dragons, yes! My essence is all over her chin and lips.
Seeded your face, female.
A dark frenzy takes over.
Hammering hard, with her lovely, willing, ruined beauty eclipsing my vision, I give her everything left inside me. All of me.
If only I knew what that all entailed.
“All of me!” I shout, diving down. My teeth grab her shoulder and bite down.

Run!
Kaos holds me through the night, keeping me pinned against him. Somehow, being so near him, he keeps everything away, and I liken it to his presence. Perhaps the jungle beasts know who he is; I haven’t even been bitten by a bug.
He, on the other hand, has been bitten… and every time his curses fill my ear, or his hand comes out to swat a glowfly away, I smile, sometimes having to hold in a giggle.
I’m smiling though, and it shakes me to the core.
I see the dimmest rays of morning light pierce the jungle gloom, and bringing my hands to my lips, I’m smiling! Exhausted, sated, and smiling. I can barely believe how happy I am. Nothing in recent memory has made me feel this way. Suppressing a giddy laugh with my hands, I close my eyes and relish the feeling.
A future with Kaos blooms in my mind when I do so. My stomach flutters at the thought. And though I’m worried that this has all happened so fast, it’s perfect.
It’s better than perfect.
Delina had the luxury of knowing Leith before they married. But in most ceremonies between tribes, the female and male are complete strangers, and they don’t always get along. Or their ages are extreme, or love between the couple doesn’t easily happen—if not at all.
But with Kaos… The bond we have… Something warm and lovely has begun building inside me. I barely understand it, but I sense it’s coming from him. If only humans bonded this way… The dying world would be a more optimistic place. It won’t die on my watch, I note, my smile growing into grin-like proportions. He will give me many babies, something I know deep in my heart. And perhaps Shell Rock can turn the tide for all the tribes along the Mermaid Gulf.
I can envision a future, one that I like.
Kaos swats his hand again, grumbling in his sleep, and it takes everything in me to hold back my mirth and not laugh aloud. Nothing can take away my joy, not even if he gets broody again.
Broody he is, my dragon male.
But I don’t want to wake him. Who knows what he’d do if he saw me so gleeful at his discomfort? I’m endeared, waters, what is happening to me…
A whooshing noise assails my ears, and the rustling of the branches above cracks the air. Still smiling, I glance up, thinking it’s a flock of gulls landing. Kaos’s body vanishes from my side, and he’s on his feet within an instant.
My smile dies. Grabbing my arm, he pulls me to my feet.
“She is here,” he roars over the growing noises. “Run, Issa!”
Leaves and tree matter begin to fall all around us. The whooshing builds, eclipsing everything. Then large black dragon claws appear, tearing through the canopy above.
The femdragon’s yowling bursts from her, dropping my heart into my stomach. Kaos pushes me towards the ledge. I grab my sandals and slip them on. Right before I jump down, I glance back at him. He hasn’t moved.
He’s snarling, his weight lowered as he braces for… an attack? He’s watching the femdragon fighting her way from above, sounds of her heavy flapping wings filling the air.
“Kaos, we need to leave!” I yell at him. “Before she lands!” His eyes snap to mine. I reach for him, shaking now with panic. Why isn’t he moving!?
“She will not kill me. Go, Issa!” he snaps. “It will not be long now.”
“Long for what?! You can’t know that,” I beg, seeing the femdragon getting closer. “Please, we can get away. The jungle is thick.”
“Issa,” he says muttering, turning back to look at the dragon. I see his eyes narrow, his body going rigid.
“If she sees you, she will kill you, if only because you touched me and denied her what she wants most.”
“Kaos—”
“GO!” he roars, making me flinch. The femdragon is nearly through, and my whole body recoils at her massive size. Her tail lashes out, and Kaos ducks. “Now! Think of the child growing inside you!”
The femdragon’s head pops through, long and windy, curving to stare directly at him. She shrieks in his face, and everything gusts away. Lowering to the ground, tears fill my eyes, and Kaos glances at me.
We share a final, desperate look. He’s pleading with me as I’m pleading with him.
I can’t leave you.
“I will follow,” he says, a whisper.
I don’t want to go, don’t want to leave him, but lowering slowly over the side—so as to evade the femdragon’s notice—I keep my gaze on Kaos the whole time, even as tears blur my vision.
Ripping our eyes apart, dropping down, pain erupts through me at losing sight of him.
Shrieking from above makes me wince, makes me lose my footing, and I flop, sliding down a slope. The river emerges through the thick foliage of trees.
Another screech, it sounds like the femdragon is right behind me, like she knows I’m here and fleeing, and she’s furious because of it. A breeze whips at my back. I get up and push through the final vines and rush to the river’s shore.
When my feet hit the water, I twist back around, sobbing Kaos’s name, seeing the canopy high above me now shuddering wildly. No birds, no jungle creatures. Nothing else moves—and I realize they all left long ago, knowing the danger.
Think of the child growing inside you. Wiping tears from my cheeks, I turn and run, begging the waters the whole time for his life.
My moment of happiness was torn away.

Another Alpha Rises
Staring into the femdragon’s black eyes, I feel nothing. Her steam blasts my face, covers my body, and if any water from the basin—any of Issa’s essence remains on me—it quickly evaporates away.
All I can do is bide my time.
Her thin nostrils flare outward, breathing me in. I know my smell fills her, know she is trying to figure out why my scent pulls her to me, and I can see it—the thoughts roiling through her mind, as her glistening pupils look at me hard. Harder still with each second.
Each second is all I aim for. For every moment she is focused on me, she is distracted from the other smell in the air—Issa’s smell. Even though we washed our bodies, the rocks around the basin, everything is clear of my seed, but the smell of our pheromones are still in the air.
The femdragon sucks in another breath and sharply jerks back, head swinging side-to-side. Her claws grind and crush the ground.
“Human,” she says, her voice deep and long-winded. “Dragon human.”
Cocking my head, I choose not to answer yet. She is ignorant, I note. Good. I am up against a female far younger and far weaker than I ever was while a dragon. An advantage.
“Why do you smell of dragon heat, human?” she asks.
“Do you not know the comet’s curse?” I ask in return. If she does not, I am saddened that my kind has failed her so deeply. Perhaps she is from the far parts of the world, or her mother and sire perished without relaying such information. Rare as it is for a human and dragon to bond, it is something all dragonkind should know.
But her ignorance works for me. There is still the alpha dragon I sensed from before rising, before I turned and lost my immortality. I sense him still, though the sensation is muted and hidden under… layers of human emotions.
A male I would have fought to the death, not long ago, I hiss in my thoughts, is the male I now seek to save me from this femdragon, to save Issa.
Issa is in me now more than ever, feeling her adrenaline, her fear, her sadness like a bladed claw to my heart. To think, minutes before, all I knew was sublime happiness. Now each second as she moves farther away, it takes every bit of control I have to keep from chasing after her.
Hunting her, catching her, forcing her to the jungle floor and punishing her for leaving my side. From taking her, reminding her that she chose me to be her mate, not once, but twice—many times. Though it was I who demanded she flee.
But the sensation of her loss pains me like no other, and the farther she gets, the worse it becomes, gripping my throat and strangling me.
I am losing her.
She is getting away. My hands wrench at my sides.
I need her.
Protect her at all costs.
The femdragon’s hot breath gusts over me. “The comet’s curse? The one that changed the ways of Venys, manipulated mating cycles, and made many species go extinct, or… transform to accommodate? That curse, human dragon? I know of it.”
“But do you know what it did to us, to humans?”
Her wings flutter and leaves fall around us. “Humans? Why should I care for such a weak, dying species?”
She does not know.
I smile and raise my hand, palm up between us. Something she should fear greatly. But I am already bonded and know that my touch will have no effect on her. She does not know that.
“When a human touches a dragon,” I begin, turning my hand over once, then back palm up again. “The dragon transforms and becomes human himself, loses his immortality, and is fatally entwined with that human forever.”
She rears back. “You lie!”
“Smell the air again, femdragon. You smell me. You are in heat, and you are talking to me. How is that possible? Have you ever spoken to a human before?”
I keep my palm ready between us. An unusual threat.
The femdragon growls, her talons scrape the ground. Then I realize… The red of the comet is not shining down over her or me. Glancing up, I see clouds covering the sky—the dawn sunlight. Scanning the area, I find the shadows deep and gloomy. The sky darkens.
And under the femdragon’s scent, an aroma of petrichor blooms.
A stirring is happening far off.
A great alpha, an ancient is rising. I growl inwardly, worried for Issa being all alone. She has a way of encountering my kind…
The femdragon looks to the sky, then towards the right, in the direction Issa ran. She senses it too. She is weak and young, but she feels a frenetic build like I do.
Her gaze snaps back to mine. “You do speak dragon tongue,” she rasps. “Have you turned? If not, where is my mate?”
“I have turned, female, over a day ago. I was to be your mate.”
Black eyes flare, teeth flash. “No!”
“You know I do not lie. We do not lie.”
She hisses raspily, and her wings expand furiously, slicing through several tree trunks with force. “I will not be bested by a human!”
“I was not trying to best you, great one, but it is too late. I am bonded, and you will find no mate here.”
Steam begins to pour from her snout. I do not have much more time before she strikes. If I die, Issa dies. Growing tense, I ready myself. I will not let Issa die. If she dies, our young dies. Our future young will cease to exist.
“I will destroy you, undragon! Then we will see who is right. Your touch will not take my immortality.” She pulls back her tail to lash out.
“Femdragon!” I yell in response. “Do you not feel another, more worthy mate rising as we speak?”
Her tail stops.
“He will be seeking you soon, do you want to stoke his ire by making him search you out in another alpha’s territory? Do you want to risk my touch before he finds you?” I lie.
She stares at me keenly, her long, black body stilling, considering my words, feeling out with her own abilities to sense the other alpha rising. Knowing she could brutalize me at any moment, I tense and glance to the ledge on my right, readying to make for it if things go sour. Cursing under my breath, I pray that my new limbs do not hinder my speed.
“Another alpha,” she hisses.
“A stronger one.” I cant my h
ead. “He is heading for you now.”
She drops her jaw and a mating shriek assaults the air. “A stronger one,” she rasps after, agreeing.
A day ago, I would have killed the other alpha for her words alone. Now, I could care less.
“A larger one.”
“A larger one!”
“He will give you the strongest dragonlings this part of the world over. He is ancient and powerful. I can sense it. You can sense it.”
The femdragon swings her large head up and a ball of hot, blue flames shoots into the sky, charring the remaining branches. It disappears into the dark clouds above, turning them a brilliant, electrifying sapphire before vanishing.
Heavy thunder follows.
“Go, femdragon, and meet your mate!”
“My mate!” Her wings flap, her talons spread, she pushes off the ground and rises into the air. Shielding my face, I watch her ascend, just as the first drops of rain hit my face.
And before she slides into the clouds, I pivot and jump off the ledge. Issa.
I had not lied that another was coming. Another, one I have not encountered in countless years, long even before the first comet.
One who can conjure storms from his territory at will.
He rises in the direction Issa ran, the direction of her territory, the direction the femdragon will be going once the other alpha roars his call. Neither dragon must catch her.
And the farther Issa gets from me, the harder it will be to track her. Clawing my way through vines, even now her scent is faint, growing fainter still as the first rain makes its way through the trees.
Animalistic instincts course through me as my feet hasten, blood pools from my skin, rushing through overgrown thorny plants.
I am coming for you, Issa. Snarling, I bare my own teeth. I am coming for you, and this time, you will never be free of me.

Storm Kiss
I don’t know how long I’ve been running, but when the smell of sea brine and salt whips over me, I glimpse the ocean I know so well through the trees ahead. I’m nearly home. Crashing through the final tendrils of the thick jungle, vines and spider webs, I fling myself forward, dropping to my knees with a sob the moment my feet hit the beach.
