He’d had more offers to work as a photographer than he could ever hope to fulfill, but he declined all of them except for those to highlight the Holiday Foundation. Cris was proud of him.
After he turned off the SUV, he turned to his beautiful husband. “So, you ready, Sugarplum?”
Ridge leaned across the console to kiss him. “I’m ready, Santa. Can you sneak the hat home tonight? I want the best Santa in Philly to make love to me when we get home.”
Cris laughed. “I’ll see what I can do, to make your wish come true,” Cris rhymed.
They both laughed and headed into the store through the back door, stopping to take in all of the places they used to hide to steal kisses. It was a trip down memory lane, as it had been for the last four years.
It was a reminder to both of them about how they met and came together, and they vowed they’d do the Santa gig as long as they could. It was the thing that brought them together, and it was where the two of them fell in love.
As they walked into the break room and over to the clothing rack, Cris grabbed the newest Santa suit while Ridge pulled out his photography elf suit. “Wanna help me with my tights?”
“What was it? Three minutes…”
“And twenty-four seconds. It was the best time I ever spent,” Ridge responded.
Cris couldn’t disagree, but he had a caveat. “Yes, they were some of the best minutes and seconds I ever spent. Hell, look where we are right now. We have two beautiful children, incredible jobs, and a wonderful life. It’s a Christmas movie waiting to be written.”
Ridge chuckled. “The Holiday Gamble. Get your tickets now!”
“Or, wait for the next chapters because there are many of them to come,” Cris added. With one more kiss under the Mistletoe, the deal was sealed.

About the Author
I am proud to say I grew up in the rural Midwest until I was fortunate enough to meet a dashing young man who swept me off my feet and to the East Coast where I now live with my family, one aging Yorkshire Terrier, and a tremendous amount of gratitude for the life with which I’ve been blessed.
I have a loving, supportive family who kindly overlooks my addiction to writing, reading, and the extensions of my hands…my computer to write, or my Kindle Fire to read the stories others write. I’m old enough to know how to have fun but too old to care what others think about my definition of a good time. In my heart and soul, I believe I hit the cosmic jackpot with the life I have, and I try to remember to thank the Universe for it every day. Cheers!
