Ruined Between the Sheets: An Anthology of Dystopian Stories that Get to the Point Page 30

by L. A. Boruff

It was nice to just sit in the dark with him, listening to the rain while he idly toyed with my nipple. But as time passed I had to wonder, “Where’s Ray?”

Grem opened his mouth to answer, but the rear door opened. Ray looked in at us for a moment before pulling himself inside and shutting the door. “That looks cozy.” The bench made a soft creak as he settled beside Grem.

“I’m comfortable.” I shifted against Grem like I was proving my point. I had to smile when my ass moved over his lap and I felt his cock stir. “I was just wondering where you were.”

“Setting up beds for the other two in the office. They want to be in where it’s dry.” Ray’s hand settled on my thigh, warm through my pants.

I sighed. “I’m going to trip over them when I go in there to check on the patients, aren’t I?”

“Maybe. Here I thought cats were supposed to be all graceful.” Ray gave my leg a playful squeeze.

“Oh, I’ll show you graceful.” My breath caught on a gasp when Grem gave my nipple a sudden pinch. “What’s that for?”

“Distracting you,” came the smug response.

I thought about it, then shrugged. “You know, I’m really okay with that.” I relaxed against him as much as I could while each tug and twist on my stiff peak sent another thrill of heat through me.

It wasn’t enough. I sat up and turned around, straddling his waist with a knee on either side of his hips. The red of his eyes was lost to shadows, but I could make out a hint of the intensity on his face. I leaned down to delicately kiss him. I had to back off to get around his tusk, but I trailed my lips along his jaw until I got to his ear.

The silver studs were cool against my tongue as I swirled it around his earlobe. A deep rumble vibrated up through his chest as I sucked it into my mouth. When I closed my teeth over the curve and gave a little tug, a low moan filled the back of the ambulance.

He grabbed my ass, his large hands easily cupping each cheek. “Take off your shirt, Courtney.”

I did as he suggested, letting my bra follow. It was a bit chilly to be half-naked like that, but I suspected I wouldn’t feel the cold for very long.

Before I could lean into him, he encircled one of my breasts with his fingers, lifting it slightly away from my body. I felt the swipe of his tongue across the stiff point before he drew it into the heat of his mouth. My back arched, a soft sound slipping out as I gripped at his shoulders.

Ray’s familiar touch settled over my other breast. He rolled and plucked my nipple until my head fell back, my hair brushing down along my spine.

The contrast in sensations sparked through me. Desire grew between my legs as I arched into them, but they seemed content to nibble and tease until I couldn’t keep still.

Grem’s cock grew thick under his pants. I shifted in enough that when I moved over him, I ground over his hard shaft and my clit bumped along his length.

He hissed and pulled back. “Get your pants off,” he rumbled, his voice a low invitation.

I scooted back until my feet were under me. There wasn’t enough room to stand up straight, but I got my pants off, and the panties underneath. I heard the rasp of the zipper of his own pants. A quick nudge of my foot pushed my clothes out of the way, but Grem grasped my hips before I could sink down onto his thighs.

Before I could ask what was going on, the warmth of Ray’s finger slid up the inside of my leg. He dipped along my center, pressing one finger up just into my pussy before pulling back to trail up to my clit. “There’s not a lot of room in here,” he said conversationally, though there was a huskiness to his voice that wasn’t normally there.

“Yeah. We were talking about that.” I shifted into his light touch. It wasn’t enough to get me off, but it still felt good.

“I want to be behind you right now.” Ray’s low words sent heat twisting through me. “But that’s not going to work. So I figured after you show Grem a good time, maybe you’ll come over here and sit with me.”

I let out a slow breath as another jolt of heat twisted though my belly. “Yeah, I think I can manage that.”

“Can you?” Grem asked. He tugged, sending me sprawling against him. I caught myself on his shoulders, quickly straddling his hips. “Guess we’ll see after I’m through with you.”

“Guess we will.” It was a clear challenge. I lifted up, waiting for him to line up the head of his cock with the slick entrance to my pussy.

He was thick; I felt the promise of a good stretch even before I lowered myself over him. “Oh shit,” I whispered as I took him deep inside. It was definitely a good stretch – I felt full as I came to sit against his thighs. Maybe it was a good thing there wasn’t enough room for Ray behind me. “That’s good.”

One of Grem’s hands settled over my breast, the other on my hip. His thumb brushed over my nipple, but he couldn’t keep up a steady pace when I started to slowly roll my hips. The slick glide of his velvet shaft felt amazing, stroking all the right places.

I kept one hand braced on his shoulder for balance as I moved over him. I’d want more before too much longer, but this slow, deep pace was perfect. Especially when Ray’s hand slipped between us so his finger could settle over my clit.

He circled in time to the languid movement of my hips. “How long can you keep this up, kitty-cat?” he murmured.

“All night.” It was a bluff, and I was pretty sure we all knew it.

“What if I do this?” Grem thrust up to meet me the next time I rolled into him, making me let out a soft noise as pleasure sparked through me.

“You should do that.” My voice had gone all breathy.

His fingers bit into my hip as his grip tightened. He took over the pace, fucking up into me hard and fast until I practically bounced on his lap.

Ray’s deft touch kept pace. In no time the world closed in around me, my fingernails biting into Grem’s shoulders . My breath caught, and one final, devastating thrust had me turning to sink my teeth into the side of Grem’s neck to keep the noise down.

He let out a low groan, and his pace only seemed to increase as I clenched around him.

They worked together to bring me ecstasy one more time, and it was only another handful of thrusts after that before Grem went rigid and I felt the pulse of his release.

I sat back on his thighs, trying to catch my breath. “Not a lot of room, but we made it work.”

“Not sleeping, though,” Grem added wryly.

  “No, not sleeping.”

Ray’s fingers curled around my waist. “You need to be over here.”

I couldn’t help but smile. I let him guide me over until I sat with him, leaning back against his chest. “Oh, are we doing this now?”

His fingers tickled along my sensitive inner thigh. “Unless you have something better to do.”

I grinned as I reached down to grip his cock. I worked my hand over him a couple of times, reveling in the way his hips involuntarily bucked. “No, this’ll do.”

  Chapter Five

Von didn’t need to see the other two when we got back to Southeast, just me. I was shown to a much smaller office instead of the conference room, which was a lot less intimidating.

I told Von what had happened. I was sure he’d already heard a version of it, since he’d known about the boat going up to take the injured people to Southwest, but he hadn’t heard my point of view.

I leaned my elbow on the hard armrest of the padded chair and looked at him squarely. “I’m pretty sure they weren’t allowed to have mentin before. They didn’t ask for it, did they?”

Von’s eyebrows came together as he shook his head. “No, I don’t think so. I’d have to check with Central to make sure.”

“They didn’t have any, and we didn’t deliver any. I had to use what was in the ambulance.” We’d dropped the ambulance off in Central, and what we’d used would be replaced before it went out again. “I told Chuck if he could get medic training, or get someone with medic training, we’d get them some.” I sighed.
“They’re stuck up there, Von. They’re hours away from any of the hospitals. They need something.”

He tapped at the tablet sitting on top of his desk. “What about prefilled doses?”

“Not without a medic, not for humans.” I sat back. “You have a dose for a hundred pound human, it’s not going to do anything for someone who’s twice that – or even someone at one-fifty. Then they dose again, and they’re in a coma.”

His fingers rubbed against the pad of his thumb. “Alright. I’ll reach out to him maybe, see what we can do. I know he comes down from there during the winter.” He paused for a moment before his eyes snapped to my face. “Thanks for doing this, Courtney.”

“No problem. It’s nice to get a change of scenery sometimes.”

He grinned at that, his lips curving around his tusks. “I’ll keep that in mind.” He stood, which I took as my cue to get to my feet as well. “You need anything? I know you didn’t get much sleep last night. You want to grab a nap before you head out?”

I was tired enough that I took a second to think about it. There hadn’t been much sleep the night before. Grem and Ray had kept me up for quite a while, and then I’d had to check on patients, and then I was damp again. I’d finally shifted and curled up on one of the padded benches, but we’d practically gotten up with the sun so we could help get the injured hustled out of there.

“No, I don’t think so. Thanks, though. My bed’s calling to me, and it’s not that long of a drive from here.”

“You change your mind, just let Pol know at the front desk.” He came around his desk to escort me to the door.

I was a little surprised to see that not only was Ray sitting in the hall just outside, but Grem was with him. They both got up as I exited onto the diamond-patterned carpet, and fell in step with me as I headed for the lobby.

“Courtney,” Ray said after a few steps. His tone was serious, prompting me to look at him. He didn’t look worried or anything, just serious. “Why haven’t we ever given it a go?”

I glanced between he and Grem. Did he really want to have this conversation right now? I didn’t want to scare Grem away. I got an expectant look when I didn’t answer, and I sighed. “You’re a shitty partner, Ray. I mean, you’re great in bed, and you’re a good friend, but you go through partners like you’re getting paid by volume.”

Grem gave a short bark of laugh from Ray’s other side.

Ray’s lips pressed into a flat line. “What if…” He glanced down the hall. We weren’t exactly alone, and there were a good number of people moving around to be having such a private conversation. “Is there somewhere we can go to talk?” His we seemed to include Grem.

“Von offered me a room for a nap.” I gestured into the lobby. “We just need to let the front desk know.”

“Fuck that.” Grem shook his head. “I’ll take you up to my place.”

I’d never been on an elevator before. I knew the hotel had them, but every previous visit had kept me on the ground floor. But Grem’s room was a couple levels up, apparently, so we got into the small metal box. My stomach swooped when it pulled to a stop on a higher floor. I wasn’t sure I liked the sensation, but no one else seemed too concerned about it.

He led us down the hall to a heavy wooden door and admitted us into a small room. There wasn’t much to the room, but it was better than the tent I was currently sleeping in – and the ambulance – so I really had no room to talk. “There.” He unbuckled his holster and set it on a small, round table. “Ray’s a shitty partner?”

“Well…” I crossed to the bed and sank down to sit on the end. It was more comfortable than I’d thought it would be. Maybe it would be nice to just lay there for a while… “We only sleep together when he’s between partners. We sleep together a lot.” I glanced between them. “Sorry if I’m putting a damper on any big plans here.” I felt bad, but I liked Grem. I couldn’t just let him dive in, only to make things awkward when we saw each other again.

“What if we all tried?” Ray leaned his shoulder against the wall, looking back and forth between Grem and me. “The three of us.”

“How is that going to be any different?” I asked quietly. “I love you to pieces, but I don’t want to screw up what we have. Not to mention making living together super awkward if and when it falls apart. I mean…” He looked hurt, and fresh guilt stabbed through me. “You’re great to start with, Ray. You really are. But then after a while, you stop communicating and then the whole thing falls apart. Every single time.”

Grem snorted. “You think I’d let him stop communicating?”

Okay, he had a good point there. If nothing else, Grem would probably wrestle Ray down and hold him there until he talked. And it wasn’t like he’d be that far away; we’d probably see him frequently. Maybe he could even ask Von to come out to East – Southeast was really overstaffed as it was.

Was I actually considering it? I couldn’t be considering it, could I? “I don’t know. I’m too tired to think about this right now.”

“But you will think about it?” Ray prodded.

“Yes, I’ll think about it!” I let myself fall backward on the bed. Yeah, there was no way I was getting up. “This is a really nice bed.”

“Then you should stay for a while,” Grem returned. I heard the rustle of fabric, followed by the mattress dipping as he climbed on. He pulled me up until I was snuggled up with him, my head on a pillow.

Ray climbed in on my other side. It was really nice to be bracketed between them, secure in the warm press of their bodies.

“This is really nice,” I mumbled, my eyes falling closed. Just for a few minutes. I could have a little nap and then we could go back. “We should do this more often.”

“We will,” Ray promised. There was a warmth there, a tenderness, and I couldn’t help but smile. It just felt right.

  Author Note

  Dear Readers,

Thank you for checking out our little side story about broken seals and the end of the world as we know it.

Nova Blom is not her father's daughter. She hates everything religiously fanatical and anything that has to do with the end of times—prepper stuff. She leaves home to set out on her own and try something different. Learn from humanities mistakes throughout history and hopefully fix the problems plaguing the world. Of course, the majority of what she strives for is a bit naive rolled into a happy ball of world peace.

While we were outlining Nova, Michele and I, once again took from our backgrounds and religion. Mind you, this isn’t a religious book. However, we do call upon the end times as documented in Revelations. When we began searching through text, we quickly realized there are several different variations of Revelations. Each one with a different interpretation of the written text. So, we decided to go with both of us are acquainted with and are comfortable with. The KJV—or King James Version.

We hope you enjoy this mini-series.

These are continuation books. In order to figure out what happens in book 2 and 3, you have to read book 1. They're not cliffhangers. Trust me, I hate those worse than anything because I want it all. But, each story will end with a lead-in for the next. Also, these books will not interrupt the timeline for TSU ~ After Dark.

  Chapter One

Low and do I see four angels and death was in the lead

  Six Months ago...

He walked into the May Natural History Museum and sucked in a deep breath. Finally, the seven seals were close at hand for him. Now, he could prove his hypothesis, God didn’t exist. As it stood, some fraud of a Turkish researcher found the “scrolls,” sealed by the Apostle John, written through the guidance of God, foretelling the end of times as they knew them. His palms itched to touch the lies laid forth on scraps of paper. He yearned to hear the wax snap and listen to the drip of lamb's blood as it coated the scrolls.

His dick hardened at the thought of flipping the world’s greatest religious leaders on their heads. To see the looks on the faces of those who flocked to their churches when their facade crumbled around them and the world awoke from its mind-controlled slumber.

Parishioners were like chattel to priests and preachers alike. Their followers nodded and praised God, while the men—flesh and blood, not a deity, slapped their bibles and used their messages of hellfire and brimstone to leave the masses scared and tainted. They turned a blind eye to the wickedness that befalls the leaders of their churches. They, who faithfully give their tithes, then starved when they couldn’t make ends meet.
