“Here goes,” Charl said as she touched the CéataCranné with her Gateway Key. The giant Red Oak underwent its metamorphosis and the door appeared, outlined by a golden light.
“Ladies first,” Charl said to Rosewater with a smile.
“Chicken,” Rosewater returned the smile, opening the door and stepping through.
THE STORY CONTINUES... in Book Two of The Light & The Void Series, called; Skirting the Void.
Finally, a big THANK YOU to you, the reader.

Reviews are essential to my survival as author – it not only helps other readers choose a book, but it also helps me improve my writing by seeing what readers like, or do not like.
Thank you once again for taking the chance on an unknown indie author. With your support, I am closer to becoming a full-time author – and that is the dream...
Cheers!

Choose your side! The Light, or the Void...
This series was co-written with Liam Starker. There are in fact, two standalone series based on the same story. One from the point of view of the Light, and one from the point of view of Urok, the Korgon, the antagonist from the Light and the Void series.
Liam’s series is called The Void Rising series, and you can get Book One, Let the Night In, here if you want to read about Urok’s exploits in more detail. It explains what the Korgon does behind the scenes.
We also have FREE prequels available from our websites for both series. www.willemkillian.com & www.liamstarker.com
Lastly, here is our suggested reading order for those who want to read all the books of both series - it’s not mandatory and you can honestly read each series on its own – you just need to choose your side...
Embracing the Void (The Void Rising Prequel)
Life in the Shadows (The Light & the Void Prequel)
Stirring Embers (The Light & the Void Book One)
Let the Night In (The Void Rising Book One)
Skirting the Void (The Light & the Void Book Two)
A Grimdark Tide (The Void Rising Book Two)
Order of the Light (The Light & the Void Book Three)
Only Dark Remains (The Void Rising Book Three)
The adventure continues in Book Two of the Light and the Void series, Skirting the Void.

Acknowledgements
No one really writes a book on their own.
Many authors have said this before and I’m not about to change that statement. Because it’s true.
Sure, the story might be yours alone and doing the typing might be all you – but without other people influencing your life and supporting your writing process, you won’t have much to write about, nor much success.
The problem with acknowledgments is where to start and where to draw the line. It’s very much like thanking people at your wedding – everyone who is there should be on the thank you list, but then the speech would take forever. If, however, you neglect to mention someone like Uncle Bob who drove for hours to get there...well, you’re henceforth known as an ungrateful, self-centered SOB.
So, in advance, if you are Uncle Bob and I forgot to mention you, I am sorry.
In no particular order:
My darling wife Janine, for her endless support and sacrifice – it’s tough living with me. I tend to remember fictional stuff better than real-life stuff...
My daughters, Janke and Giselle; they are the reason I wrote this series. Love you!
My family, especially my mom for always asking how the writing’s going.
Friends, especially Tim (Kabba) Bossenger for his unwavering faith in me.
The amazing Joseph Nassise. Not only is he an incredible mentor who managed to inspire, motivate and teach me, but he is also a great human being. Joe is always happy to help out with advice and a quick smile. He is also a bestselling author of fast-paced urban fantasy adventure novels. So, if you like monsters, magic, and mayhem, head on over to www.josephnassise.com
Author Craig Martelle and all the other incredible people (like Robert Ryan, Nick Stephenson, Michael Anderle, to mention a few), who have put together FB Groups like 20BooksTo50K. Without their help, indie authors stand no chance of succeeding.
Danielle Fine (www.daniellefine.com) for her amazing covers for the Prequel and Book One of the Series.
Natalie Narbonne – fellow author and book cover designer par excellence. Natalie aka N.M. Thorn, is always there to offer advice and help. She’s an exceptional human being and an excellent book cover designer. Books Two and Three, and the Void Rising covers, are her works of art. www.originalbookcoverdesigns.com
www.digitalprospects.net for my author website and making it not only affordable, but also easy to maintain.
God, for everything good in this world. Hopefully, I’m doing enough with the talents given to me...
And then, obviously YOU, the reader. Thank you for investing your time in something that I wrote. It could have been a stinking pile of crap for all you knew, but you took a chance. For that, I THANK YOU – and I hope the pile didn’t disappoint ;-)
