  "Nothing! Nothing at all!"

"Then why ever since that day you got out of Joey's Jeep you ain't been the same?" he asked suspiciously.

"Reese, why are you so nosey? I told you, there is nothing going onwith me and Joey. Just leave it alone!"

He watched as she began to tremble and look nervous. He knew shewas hiding something and he knew it involved Joey.

"Did you say anything to Face?" she asked fearfully.

"No, I didn't say anything to Face about you and Joey. I knew that he would get real upset."

"Reese can you do me a big favor and not say anything to Face about me getting into Joey's car?" she asked, desperation coming into her tone.

He watched as her eyes filled with tears and began to run from the corners of her brown eyes. He put his arm around her shoulders and said,"Don't worry Cuz, I won't say nothin' to Face. Stop crying."

As she cried in his arms, he knew that Joey had done something terribly wrong to his cousin and that one day he would pay, and pay dearly.

  Chapter Thirty-Three

On the corner of Manchester and Main...

Poo pulled over his Cadillac and parked. After he counted his money, he knew he was missing $1,300. He was fuming mad. Poo looked across at Ty-Bud, then glanced back at Wizard and said, "That stinkin' whore-ass crack-head stole my fuckin’ money!"

"I told you not to trust that bitch!" Ty-Bud said, then puffed on a rolled up blunt.

"Yeah, Poo, I don't care how good the pussy is, a crack-head is a crack-head," Wizard said from the back seat.

"That $1,300 belong to Mouse!" Poo replied with concern in his voice.

"Fuck Mouse! He ain't gonna be around to spend it. So, what's the use," Ty-Bud said, and all three men started laughing.

Ty-Bud passed the blunt over to Poo and watched as he inhaled; the marijuana and cigar wrapping smoldering. Poo then blew a thick cloud ofsmoke through his nose as he said, "Still, that ain't the point. That bitch Peaches disrespected me by stealing my money! She has to pay for thatshit."

"So, what 'chu down ta do?" Wizard asked, lifting up his t-shirt anddisplaying the .9mm Beretta.

"Yeah, it's whatever! I'm getting tired of Peaches' beat up ass pussyanyway," Ty-Bud added.

Poo looked at both of his young, wild cousins and smiled.

The two of them lived for trouble. Neither one of them had reached the age of twenty-one, and both didn't expect to make it. Ty-Bud already had three bodies under his belt. Wizard had two, and for days had been itching to add another to his personal hit list.

"So, is we gonna ride on that bitch or not?" Wizard asked in a serious tone.

"Hold up! First things first. Let's take care of Mouse first. Then we'll go and pay a visit to that slut-ass bitch Peaches!" Poo answered.

After Poo finished smoking on the blunt, he passed it back to Wizard. "Tomorrow, Mouse will come for his cheese, and he will fall rightinto our trap!" Poo laughed, then fired up his Caddy and drove grimly down the street.

Inside the juvenile hall, Quincy and two other members of the Hoover Crips were all strapped with hand-made shanks. Together, the three of them snuck into the dorm room of one of the boys who had jumped him and helped beat him up when he first arrived there. While the guy slept peacefully in his bed, with the covers pulled up over his entire body, they tiptoed toward him. Without any hesitation, they all savagely attacked himwhile he slept.

As the sharp shanks continued to slam in and out of his unprotected flesh, muffled screams was all that could be heard.

For two long minutes they held him down and repeatedly stabbed him. When his mangled body stopped moving, they quickly put away theirbloody weapons and calmly eased out of the room, leaving behind a dead 15-year-old gangbanger with over 150 stab wounds pierced deeply into his flesh.

When Quincy had returned back to his dorm room, he immediately got rid of his weapon and ran to the shower to wash himself of the young man's blood. As the warm water rinsed the dark red blood from his powerful young body, a smile of deep satisfaction came to his face.

  West Philadelphia, Later that night...

Jay was dressed in all black gear. He watched as the flow of traffic went in and out of a small row house on 43rd and Pengrove Street. With his hand wrapped tightly around the .9mm pistol, he continued to hide behind a car and watch. He knew the small row house was one of Hood's most popular crack-houses. He had others throughout the city, but this particular one was Hood's biggest money maker. He knew this because this was the same house where he used to drop off drugs and pick up large amounts of cash. Now, Jay was a desperate man who needed money bad.

For the past two years, his main source of income had been borrowing money from Veronica. And every time he did it, he felt less of a man. The one time baller was now a scared, broke man who had been running for his life for over two years. That was about to come to an end.

He stepped from behind the parked car and instantly blended with the crowd of boisterous human zombies; male and female crackheads, all fiending for a hit of that hard white rock of cooked cocaine. As the people moved towards the front door, Jay slipped on his black ski mask. The huge man at the door was busy scanning the crowd and looking up the street for approaching police cars.

As soon as he noticed the masked man standing in front of him, he also noticed the .9mm aimed at his chest.

  POW!

  POW!

Two bullets slammed into his chest at point blank range. His huge body slumped to the ground. The crowd of on looking crackheads began dispersing immediately. Jay ran into the house and caught another worker coming to see what all the commotion was about.

  POW!

Jay shot him right between the eyes. He was dead before his body started for the floor. Jay rushed over and went into the man's pockets. He pulled out a few stacks of large denomination-bills. He quickly ran back to the first man he shot and went through his pockets; he also had a few stacks of large bills in his possession. Jay stuffed the money down inside his jacket pocket and went to the couch.

He dug his hand down into the side between the armrest and the cushion and found what he was looking for. The large brown paper bag. He didn't even bother to look inside it, he already knew.

The sack was filled with over $10,000 worth of crack, all packed into red capped crack vials. He heard the sound of police sirens coming from a distance.

Instead of going out the same way he had come in, he headed for the back door. He went out and into the back yard, then quickly climbed thefence and easily escaped through the alley.

A few blocks away, he exited the alley and calmly walked down the dark street. He watched as police cars sped towards the house. Loud sirens and bright flashing blue and red lights filled up the late night air. A rush ofexcitement ran all throughout his body. His plot had worked just as he had planned. He smiled and headed for a safe and secure place where he couldcount out his money.

"Girl, you make sure you send me some pictures!" Momma said into thephone.

"I will, Momma. I promise!" Pamela answered excitedly.

"Pam, I'm so happy for you baby. Lord knows you truly deserve it,"Momma said genuinely.

"Thank you, Momma. I truly wish you and the kids could be here tomorrow."

"Girl, you don't need to see me crying and acting a damn fool at yourwedding," Momma said. They both started laughing. "Where's the kids?"

"They all inside their bedrooms sleeping. You know Philly is a few hours ahead of L.A.," Momma answered, grabbing the remote and turningoff the TV "Arsenio Hall just went off," she added.

“Momma, I can't wait til you meet Mouse. He's perfect for me.," Pamela said with excitement in her voice.

"So you finally found you a man that can keep up with you, huh?"Momma joked.

"Momma, you something else!" Pamela laughed.

"There's somebody out there for all of us, we just gotta search around til we find 'em," Momma said seriously. "Just remember Pamela, sex and money is both good to have, bu
t never be treated less than a Queen," she added.

  "I'll remember that, Momma."

  "Where's Veronica at?" Momma asked.

"She's inside, talking on her new cell phone. One of her new clientsbought it for her," Pamela answered.

"I'll bet it's a gift from one of them rich white men she been seen driving around with. They can't seem to stay away from her," Momma laughed, playfully.

After hanging up the phone, Momma lay back on the soft pillow and closed her eyes. Moments later the soft sounds of her snoring was escaping into the air.

Hood was furious. Ron Perry and two of his men watched as he angrily paced the floor.

"Don't worry Hood, we'll find out who's responsible," Ron said.

"It had to be an inside job, they knew exactly where the drugs werestashed at," he added.

Hood stopped pacing and turned around. He looked Ron straight in the eyes and said, "I already know who robbed me and killed my workers in the house. Motherfucking Jay did it!" he yelled. "He the only one whocould have planned it and got away with it!" he added, walking up to Ron and looking him straight in the eyes. In a low vicious tone of voice, he said, "Find that motherfucker! Find Jay and kill 'em!"

"But boss, we been looking for Jay for two years and we ain't found or heard nothing," one of his men said.

Hood reached out and grabbed the man's collar, "I don't give a fuck if it takes ya'll ten more years. Find Jay and kill 'em!" he vented.

Hood watched as Ron and the other men left his home. With a frown on his face, he walked back to his bedroom. Britney's pregnant body was laying across the king-sized bed, with Lil' Robbie snuggled up under her arms sleeping peacefully. Hood got in bed and joined them. His mind wasracing with thoughts.

"Don't worry Daddy, Jay can't hide forever," she said before reaching over and turning off the bed lamp.

  Chapter Thirty-Four

September 16, 9:47 AM The wedding day...

"Baby , it's our wedding day. Do you really have to go?" Pamela asked Mouse, as she lay in bed watching him get dressed. "Can't you wait totomorrow?"

"Sweetie, I have to go get this money. Niggaz owe me close to a hundred grand out on the streets. If I don't drive around today picking up my cash, I might not never get it all," he said, sitting down to tie his Adidas.

Mouse noticed the sad expression on Pamela's face and said, "Baby, don't worry, I'll be back before you know it. It’s just a few pickups and I'll be done. I’m ‘a take Face with me to keep me company."

"Alright, you just be safe out there."

Mouse leaned over and kissed Pamela on the lips. "Don't worry, I'malways safe," he smiled, lifting up his shirt to show her the .40 caliber pistol in his waistband.

After they embraced in a long passionate kiss, she watched him walk out of the bedroom and close the door behind him. After a satisfying sigh, she fell back on the large soft pillows. Today was the happiest day of her life. A day she had been waiting on since she was a little girl. She smiled and hugged herself happily.

A moment later, Veronica tapped lightly on the door, then pushed it open and entered. She saw Pamela beaming with happiness and excitement. Veronica was happy for her best friend. She had been there with Pamela through all the ups and downs.

Veronica walked over and sat down beside her, "Where is Mouse and Face going? I just saw them walk out the door and get in his car," Veronica asked curiously.

"Mouse had to go and pick up some money and he took Face with him."

"On ya'll wedding day? He couldn't wait 'til tomorrow?" she asked, alook of confusion on her face.

"Not for a hundred grand, he couldn't," Pamela answered, smiling.

Inside the Juvenile Hall... Jimmy DaSaint & Freeway Ricky Ross

"Im‘a ask you one more time, Quincy. Do you know anything about the stabbing murder of Vincent Cooper yesterday?" the detective asked.

Quincy stood silently, a serious look on his face, as the detective and the staff supervisor both waited for an answer. Outside the door of the supervisor's office, six other members of the Hoover Crips waited. They had all been questioned and released; none of them had given up any information about the murder. They had all stood strong. But now, they all stood waiting nervously on Quincy. Not only was he a new member of the Hoover Crips, but he was also the youngest. They weren't sure if he could hold his tongue like they all had.

"Look here Detective, I told you twice already that I don't know nothing about nobody being murdered. Now, can I leave and go back to my class?"

After a long sigh, as if knowing they were all lying, he shook his head angrily and said, "Yeah, get out of here!"

Without hesitation, Quincy turned and walked out the door. With smiles on all of their faces, they all swarmed around him. Quincy had passed the ultimate test and now he was being praised for his loyalty to hiscrew.

  Two hours later, 11:47 AM...

Mouse had been driving all around the city picking up his money with Face riding shotgun, enjoying the sounds of rap music coming from the car speakers. They had just left spots at 60th and Highpark, 27th and Hooper and 92nd and Baring Cross. With one more spot to go, Mouse and Face headed for the last destination: a house on 118th and Central, where Poo and his two cousins were inside patiently waiting.

  Philadelphia, PA...

Inside Overbrook High School, teachers and students roamed the halls, all rushing towards their next class. Tasha held her books close to her chest as she walked to her last-period; History on the third floor. As she walked up the stairs, Joey Barns was walking down with one of his boys. Nervousness and fear instantly filled her body.

As she put her head down and continued to walk by, Joey stepped in

front of her. He wore a big smile on his face.

Tasha didn't. Her look was serious, with deep anger flashing in her sad brown eyes.

"What's up, Tasha?" Joey asked nonchalantly. "I ain't been seeing you as much lately," he added.

"Joey, move out of my way!" she said seriously.

"Aw, come on Tasha, what's with the attitude?" Joey asked. His friends stood back laughing at her discomfort.

After a long sigh, Tasha looked him straight in the face and said, "Get the fuck out of my way before I scream, you no good bastard!"

Without hesitation, Joey stepped aside and allowed her to pass. Then, he and his friends watched as she went up the stairs and disappearedfrom their sight.

"Joey, what was all that about?" his friend asked.

"She just mad cause I fucked her and didn't call her back," Joey lied. "Oh, that will do it every time," his friend said. They both laughed.

  Los Angeles, California; 12:35 PM...

Veronica sat back watching as Pamela stood in front of the mirror admiring her beautiful white wedding dress. Mouse had the dress speciallydesigned to fit Pamela's curvaceous figure. Around her neck was a platinum chain filled with diamonds and a matching set of diamond stud earrings graced her delicate ears. Pamela looked stunningly beautiful, like an exotic black Queen that was ready to take her rightful place beside her handsomenew king.

They were having a small wedding ceremony outside in the elegantly decorated back yard. Only a few special guests had been invited; it was something they had both agreed upon. Now, everything was set. The Pastor and their few invited guests were all on their way to the house. Mouse had already paid for their one-week romantic honeymoon on thesmall tropical island of Jamaica.

Pamela walked over to the bed and sat down beside her smiling friend. As they reached out and gave each other a hug, tears of joy escapedfrom the confines of their eyes.

  Chapter Thirty-Five

Peaches stood in the doorway watching as Allen smiled, then waved and got in his van. Allen was on his way to Brentwood to attend his sister's wedding. He had been one of the special invited guests. As soon as he drove off down the street, Peaches walked back inside and closed the front door, then rushed over to the phone and quickly dialed a number.<
br />
"Hello?" A man's voice answered on the second ring.

"Corey, it's me. He's gone. Hurry up!" she said excitedly. "I'm on my way now," the man said before hanging up the phone.

Peaches ran to the back door dressed in nothing but a white terrycloth robe. She waited patiently in the doorway. Moments later, a stocky dark skinned man appeared in the alley and entered the backyardthrough the gate. He quickly walked inside the house and Peaches closed the door behind him.

As soon as the door closed, Peaches stared into his smiling face. Sheuntied her robe and let it slide slowly down her naked body and pile onto the floor around her feet. Corey instantly began to remove his own clothing, his dick becoming hard as a rock.

Peaches stood there smiling as her young, handsome, 17-yearold neighbor got undressed. Peaches and Corey's mother, Susan, were neighbors and good friends. But Susan had no idea that for the past two weeks Corey had been sneaking around and having sex with Peaches; whohad been flirting with him since he was 15 years old. Now their flirting and teasing had turned to lust and sex.

After Corey undressed, Peaches stepped up to him and began lustfully kissing him around his neck, face and lips. She ran her hands up and down his young, strong body, then turned and leaned over the kitchen table. She spread her legs wide and stretched out her arms across the table. Corey stepped up behind her and placed his strong young hands onto her flaring hips, and without hesitation, rammed his dick deep inside of her. Then, the sounds of hard, eager, passionate sex filled the room.

Face sat back enjoying the sounds of the radio, as Mouse found an emptyparking place and parked his Mercedes.

"I'll be right back Face," he said, looking across at the young man he saw as his son. They saw the love in each other's eyes.

"Alright, Mouse," Face replied, as he reclined his seat back a little and got comfortable.

Before getting out of the car, Mouse checked the .40 caliber. It wasloaded and ready for any drama that may have occurred.

Even though he had never had any problems with any of the people who owed him money, he still knew to always be cautious. The game wasfilled with snakes and rats; once one was caught slipping, neither wouldhesitate to bite you.
