"As you wish." I flourished my hand.

I went to get us another rum and coke. When I came back with our drinks, Alex immediately came up to me and said, "You are the best, K!" She gave me yet another one of her sweet kisses. They were like crack and made me want more and more.

She was so flirty, and I loved it. She downed her drink as quickly as the last two. I looked closely at my sweet Alex as I realized that she was probably drinking a little too much and said, "Babe, you need to slow down."

"I'm perfect. I am not drinking too much. One or two more songs and then let's go upstairs."

  "As you wish."

She kissed me one more time. She then dragged me back onto the dance floor.

We started dancing. A shirtless Weber tried to cut in, saying, "Why are you dancing with him? I'm so much better."

Alex just laughed and pulled me close. She said, "I know exactly what I am doing and I want to dance with this guy right here.” Then she whispered, "Don't go anywhere."

"Not even to the room?" I whispered with a mischievous glint to my eye. I knew if I didn’t act fast, the alcohol might catch up to her and it would be too late for us to do much of anything tonight. I didn’t want her to regret a moment of the night.

Her eyes lit up as she said, "Let's go!"

“As you wish." I was hoping she would catch on to the Princess Bride reference, but she didn’t seem to. I turned towards Webs and said, "We are going to head out."

  "All right. Later, Lager."

I did stop and say night to Shoresy before going. As we were passing the bar, Alex whispered, "Can we have one more drink tonight? But just the cola?" We picked up two more drinks.

That’s when the two of us ran into Rick Colandra, my captain, and his girlfriend Cindy. As we listened to a boring story about Cindy's tortoise going missing, Alex gave me a look that told me she just wanted to leave. So I spoke up and said, "Hey, we need to get going. Best of luck finding the tortoise."

  Alex

I was feeling really good and tonight felt so right. I still couldn't believe tonight. K and I were in the elevator by ourselves, and I decided that I was done waiting. I leaned up and started to kiss his tender lips. Unlike earlier that day, he didn't deepen the kiss. Instead, he put his hands around my waist and whispered, "We are almost to the room, Alex. Just wait a little bit more."

I pleaded, "But we are the only ones here." I didn’t get why we weren’t allowed to kiss each other.

He smiled and leaned his forehead on mine, "Come on, we are almost there. We don’t need to make any trouble." He kissed my forehead, almost as if he was sealing his words with a promise.

"You're no fun." I hoped I wasn’t pouting, but I probably was. I knew he was trying to make sure I was still in control, and I was. “Besides, I’m fine, if that’s what you are worried about.”

He just laughed. “Then prove it to me by waiting a few more moments. Besides, you know there’s a camera up there. No need to give everyone a show.” He was right; we both had enough of a celebrity status that a make out session in an elevator would get out to SMZ pretty easily. The Sound was always protective of the parties, trying to make sure there wouldn’t be any unwanted press but you never knew with security footage outside of the party rooms.

The elevator doors opened, and he guided me out. I waited for him to open up the door. As soon as he did, he lifted me up and carried me to the bed. He then crawled on top of me and kissed me with so much passion. Each kiss circled my skin and drew me in for more. It drove me crazy as he started to work his way around my body.

He pulled back and said, "Let's get the dress off of you."

I nodded eagerly. I was done with the oversized dress. It was gorgeous, but it was bulky and tight. "It's easier to get off if we are standing."

He nodded and then easily lifted me up off the bed. Once I was standing, I turned my back to him. He was still kissing my neck and clavicle. I instinctively reached back and up to his neck, trying to keep the contact. If he hadn’t been trying to get my dress off, I would have wanted him to be touching my breasts. His hands were on the back of my dress, trying to work the zipper. He growled in frustration after a couple of minutes. I asked, "What is it?"

"The zipper is stuck. Would you be mad if I forced the dress off of you? I have an extra shirt in my bag, but I would need to get you bottoms in the morning."

I shook my head. “Yeah, that’s fine.” There was a massive rip, followed by the feel of fresh air on my back. K helped to push the sleeves down my right arm and then the left. Then I stepped out of the massively puffy dress. I even slipped off the heels that I’d worn that evening before lying back down on the bed. I stared up at my K and said, "You are wearing entirely too much."

He flashed his chicklets and then started to work his costume off. He first shed the wig and shook out his dark blond hair. I went up to him and tugged off his gloves. I moved my arms down to the buttons on his vest as he pressed his lips against my breasts. We fell back on the bed with the force of the kiss. I somehow managed to get his shirt off as we continued to kiss in a fevered passion. After his shirt was gone, he started giving more attention to my breasts.

"Lex, these are perfect." He continued to massage and suck the nipple. I was getting so wet. He wasn't kidding when he said he knew how to work a girl. Everything just felt so right and amazing. No guessing at what would make me happy like had happened in the past with some guys.

I kept watching him. He was a man on a mission. I wasn't going to stop things either.

I moved my hands down his chiseled abs and obliques. I loved his ditch so much and let my hands go to the perfect v pointing straight at his stuff. I started to pull at his pants which caused K to stop and say, "Let me get the boots off first, silly."

He tugged the boots off and then the leggings. I smiled so wide, as he was on full display for me. I leaned up and hugged his neck and then started to pull him back towards the bed.

He worked his magic all the way down to my folds, and I realized I craved him more than I craved anything in my life. "More, Klaus, more." He continued to work his magical fingers and gave me so much pleasure. I was in heaven. Then I felt something I'd never felt before and realized that was how an orgasm was supposed to feel. While I’d had sex a couple of times, none of it could be described as good. He was on a whole other level.

Then he pulled away and tapped my butt, saying, "Give me a moment." I was disappointed as he pulled away and got up. He went to his backpack and quickly sheathed himself. I was glad that he was protecting both of us.

He pulled me towards the edge of the bed where my legs could wrap around his waist. He spread me apart as he slipped himself into me. Then he started to pump in and out. I craved every bit of him. I felt myself come again. There were no words to describe how good it felt. I wanted him so badly, and by the end I shattered for the third time that evening, leaving me exhausted. It was no wonder puck bunnies were a thing, especially if all hockey players were this good in bed. "Holy fuck. Where did you learn to do that?"

I felt like I was melting into the bed and I’d had a major workout. He pulled me up, "You should go to the bathroom before you pass out."

The moment I stood up, I realized that the alcohol was sneaking up on me. I just felt completely exhausted. I wasn’t drunk enough to regret anything that had happened, but I knew I would be better served to empty out my stomach if I wanted to avoid a major hangover. I made it to the bathroom. I decided to empty out my stomach before I could actually use the toilet. After flushing, I realized I needed to take off the jewelry and let my hair down if I wanted to get any sleep. I started to fumble with the barrettes and felt like I was all thumbs. After some time, K knocked on the door. "You all right in there?"

I saw some mouthwash on the sink and used some of it before saying, "Yeah. I guess the night caught up."

"Do you mind if I come in?"

"It's ok, K." I laughed since it seemed crazy to get so intimate with me and th
en worry about intruding on my privacy.

He opened up the door and, to my disappointment, he had boxers and a shirt on. Apparently, he was done fooling around for the night. He set down something on the counter, but I was too busy fussing with my hair to notice what it was. He appraised me as I fumbled with the damn barrettes. "Want some help?"

I nodded. I didn’t want him to think any less of me for not realizing the drinks would sneak up on me. He smiled. He was able to get the last of the barrettes and pins out. He smoothed down my hair. "You're pretty," I said.

He kissed my nose and said, "And you're beautiful. Now, put your arms up." I scrunched up my nose in confusion but did as he asked. He slipped an oversized T-shirt over me.

"Hmmm, it smells like you," I said as I inhaled his scent.

He lifted me up and carried me back to the bed. I was hugging his neck the entire time and just thinking how lucky I had it. The next thing I knew, I was asleep. I’d finally had one of my greatest wishes come true.

  Klaus

Carrying Alex back to the bed, I knew I was a dead man walking. I didn’t want to take her home, and Scotty was going to kill me, plain and simple. I didn't regret anything, and I hoped she didn’t either. She seemed like she was okay until I heard her go to the bathroom. Other than being super flirty, there weren't any signs she could be drunk. I just wished we could have done another round before she fell asleep.

I moved the two of us to the bed. She was draped across my body. I couldn't bring myself to unhook her arms from around my neck, even though I knew I would wake up with one hell of a crick. I just hoped she was comfortable. I did pad up some pillows under her head and made sure she had blankets pulled up over her legs.

I watched her sleep, making sure she was doing okay. I’d heard her emptying out her stomach while she was cleaning up, so I wanted to make sure she was sleeping all right. I knew she was most likely okay, but I found it worrisome after seeing a few buddies get their stomachs pumped back in high school after having too much to drink.

When it was about 1 a.m., my cell phone rang on the nightstand. I reached for it with my left hand and quickly picked it up so as not to wake Alex. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Alice, Alex's mom. I tried to keep my voice steady and quiet when I said, "'Hello."

"I just wanted to warn you, Scott's on his way."

"What?" That didn't compute. Why would Scotty be coming? I thought I would at least get the night with her before getting reamed out.

"Aren't you still at the Halloween party?" asked Alice with noticeable distress. "Didn't you hear?"

"No. We left about an hour ago. We are in the penthouse suite. What’s going on?" I’d never wanted to sit up so much in my life. With Alex sleeping in my arms, I didn’t dare.

"There was a shooting at the party. I think it had something to do with Colandra. I couldn’t really hear, but Scott is going there to handle what he can. He's scared for Alex, saying he never should have let you take her to the party. Are you sure you guys are okay?"

What I wanted to say to Alice was, 'We are golden and just had the best sex of our lives,' but that was probably not going to give her the peace she needed. Instead, I kept it simple and said, "Yeah. We are just sleeping. Let me call Scotty." Then I heard the call waiting beep. I pulled the phone away from my ear and saw it was Scotty. "Wait, he's on the other line, I'm going to answer."

I didn't even wait for Alice to acknowledge that as I switched lines and said, "Hey."

"I never thought I would ever say this, but please tell me that you and Lex got drunk and you guys are in the hotel room."

"We got drunk and are in the hotel room," I said with a smile ‘cause it was the truth.

"Okay. Now tell me the truth. Where are you?"

  "We are in the penthouse."

"Oh, thank God! Weber thought you two left just before everything happened, but he saw you guys talking with Colandra right before shit hit the fan."

"Is Coldy okay?" Yeah, I was using Rick's nickname, but it seemed like time was of the essence.

"No, they have him in surgery. Apparently Cindy's ex is the jealous type and decided tonight was a good night to win her back. Are you sure you guys are fine?"

"Well, she might have one hell of a headache in the morning, but yeah, we’re fine."

I heard some cursing in French which meant Scotty was super mad. I had no clue what he was saying exactly since I didn’t really speak French. Given the crisis, I could take a guess. "I take full responsibility. I shouldn't have let her drink so many rum and cokes. I didn’t think about how her tolerance was lower than mine."

"All right. Listen to me now. I need you to stay in the room. I need to take care of things in the ballroom. Then you and I will have a long talk."

“Got it.” I hung up the phone and was so glad that Alex was sleeping and clueless. It seemed like we had picked the perfect time to leave the party. I was grateful that we’d missed all the drama.

I heard some hard knocks on the door. I quickly slipped out of the bed and answered the door, amazed that Alex slept through the noise. I didn't care if they saw me in my boxers and shirt. I just wanted to spare Alex from the drama while I could. I was surprised to see two police officers on the other side. Well, not really surprised.

"Excuse me, are you Klaus Lagerfield?"

I wanted to say ‘guilty,’ but I knew that wouldn't be funny in their eyes. So I just said, "I am. Can I help you?"

"Were you at the Sound Halloween party this evening?"

"Yes, with my date Alexandra Wheiland. We were there for a couple hours and then decided to come back to the room about an hour ago." It felt weird using Alex's full name, but I knew that they would need it and recognize it. I was just hoping that they would go away after I talked to them.

"We understand that the two of you were talking with Rick Colandra and his girlfriend before you left the party." I nodded, and the police officer continued, "What were you discussing?"

"Nothing much. Cindy was telling us a story about her tortoise going missing. In all honesty, we weren't paying that much attention and only really said hello and goodbye to them."

"Did anything seem amiss to you?"

"No, sir. It was just a normal Halloween party. Everyone was in a good mood and in costume."

"Did you see anyone suspicious or someone you didn't recognize?"

"No. We only left because we wanted to get some alone time. If you will excuse me, I'm tired and I would like to go back to bed. If you have any more questions, I would like you to contact my lawyer. Can Alexandra schedule a meeting later? She’s currently asleep."

"That should be all right. What’s her contact information?” I quickly gave them her details, and the police officer stated, “Thank you for taking the time."

I went back to the bedroom. I heard Alex murmuring, "K . . . Where are you?"

"I'm right here," I said as I crawled back into bed. I moved Alex so I had some space and snuggled up with her.

She didn't even have her eyes open when she asked, "What's going on?"

"I am not a hundred percent sure. I just know your dad wants me to stay with you."

"That doesn't sound like him," she said with a huff.

"I know." I kissed her forehead, her nose, and then her mouth. "But we left the party just in time, from my understanding. We'll talk about it later, okay? Just go to sleep." Thankfully, she was already asleep again. I didn't think I would sleep. Between waiting for Scotty, finding out what happened to Coldy, and making sure Alex was safe, my mind was racing.

I texted Webs: Are you at the hospital?

  W: Yeah. Are you coming?

K: Not yet. Scotty wants me to stay here. Keep me updated!

  W: Will do.

I just looked at the precious person laying in my arms. I wasn't sure what was in store for me. Thirty minutes ago, I was sure that Scotty was going to kill me. Hearing that it was Coldy that was fighting for his life for real and that Scotty
wanted me to stay with Alex gave me hope. Scotty was bound to be coming upstairs for that talk at any moment. I just hoped it didn’t spell my doom.

  Alex

I woke up feeling sick to my stomach and needing to pee. It was disappointing that I didn't wake up in K's arms. I remembered that was how we were when I went to sleep. I knew I didn’t regret anything. As I started to get up, I heard murmuring coming from the living room area of the suite. I figured that was where K must have been, but I had no clue who he would be talking to. After using the bathroom, I decided to investigate what was going on.

As soon as I opened the doors, I was floored to see my dad standing with his back to me, lecturing K, who was sitting on the couch. Dad was talking in French more than English. I only saw him doing that when he was drunk or super mad. I tried to figure out what he was saying, but he was talking too quickly and my brain was processing the French too slowly. I knew he said ‘leadership’ and ‘police’ but that didn’t make sense.

K got up and went to the fridge. He handed me an ice blue bottle of Gatorade, my favorite kind, before going back to his seat. I was grateful since my mouth was dry. I cracked it open and asked, "Dad, why are you here?"

I was hoping that I didn't sound drunk when I said it. I don't think I was successful. At least I drank the Gatorade without spilling it on K's shirt. I decided to sit on K's lap. It was my way of trying to protect K. Dad might be mad right now, but he wouldn't risk hurting me, even if he wanted to do anything to Klaus.

"Alexandra Alice-Rose Wheiland. What the hell were you thinking when you drank three alcoholic drinks? You are 18. The face of US figure skating. You should know better!"

Jesus, he was coming in hot, but at least he’d said all that in English. K wrapped his arms around me, one arm going across my shoulder and the other about my midsection, as if he could lose me at any moment. I just said, "I wasn't thinking about the amount. It tasted good. I knew I was in safe hands."

"Obviously, it wasn't as safe as we all thought! You guys were damn lucky last night."
