Maddi’s Dad is a little embarrassing. Okay, he is very embarrassing. He is one of those really loud encouraging dads. I could see that Maddi wanted him to stop calling out advice and cheering her on. I could see her cringing. But at least he cares.
The most amazing thing happened on the field. It had nothing to do with her soccer skills. They were pretty bad. Actually they were really bad. One of the girls on the other team fell over and put her hands to her neck. She was turning purple, then blue. Maddi ran over and grabbed her. Then she put her hand into the girl’s mouth and pulled out her broken mouthguard. The girl was actually choking to death. Maddi saved her! What a hero! She is incredible!
