She knew she was about to come. She wasn’t ready yet, wanted this to go on forever. Alas, her body could only take so much and she was no match for Raynor’s cock and his spur. Once again she screamed his name so loudly she was sure others in the building were wondering if she was okay or not.
Raynor jerked above her, moving faster, sliding in and out of her. His beast groaned.
‘Never thought it would feel this way. Did not know she would be this perfect. Better than imagined. Mine. All mine.’
Raynor’s come filled her, sending another orgasm coursing through her. His body trembled above her as he grunted, pushed into her until every last drop had filled her. When he finally slumped against her, Lark rubbed her fingers through his hair.
“Love you, Lark,” he mumbled, breathing deeply.
“Love you, Raynor.” Not smiling was impossible. He’d finally claimed her
“Not done,” he told her.
“Huh?”
“I’ve drunk from you and given you a part of me. Now it is time for you to drink from me, and accept my beast.”
Oh. “Okay.”
Raynor raised his arm and bit into his wrist then placed it over her mouth. She’d done this before. She could do it now. Lark pressed her lips to his wrist and drank. The coppery taste of his blood filled her. No disgust accompanied it. She drank until he pulled away and then leaned forward, pressing his lips against hers.
The kiss was filled with hunger. Between their bodies his cock throbbed, hardening once more.
“Again?” Lark whispered against his lips.
“Again,” he grinned before kissing his way down her body and sliding his tongue into her pussy.
Stars, she could do this all night.
***
They made love all night.
Wrapped in his arms, Lark stared up at the ceiling, wondering what her life would be like right now if Raynor hadn’t met her sister and schemed his way into her world. For starters, it would be boring and unsatisfying.
It would also probably be over, considering many of her soldiers had plotted against her. Lark didn’t even want to think of how foolish she’d been to trust in Ana. Yes, Raynor’s presence had definitely changed things for the best. Her mate sniffed then pulled her closer.
“You want me again,” he told her.
“I’m going to have to get you a leash for that nose of yours.”
He laughed as he reached between her legs and cupped her sex. “I don’t need enhanced senses to know you want me. Your body has its own way of communicating with me.”
He slipped his fingers between her wet folds and she rubbed herself against him, loving the feel of him exploring her.
“You’re going to spoil me,” Lark moaned as she squirmed against him.
“That’s my plan. I want you as addicted to me as I am to you.”
Lark opened her mouth to tell him she was well on her way, when suddenly another voice filled the room.
“Lark, Manuel… Aron, anyone, everyone, someone, please hear me.”
Lark sat up in bed. Next to the bed, Raynor was already crouching and growling. Stars he moved fast. Lark scanned the room, searching for the muffled voice that sounded a lot like her sister. No one was there.
“Lola,” Lark called out only to be shushed by Raynor.
“Shh… Stay here,” he told her.
Lark wrapped her coverlet around her body.
“Lark, are you there. Come on Lark, answer me.”
“It’s Lola,” Lark told Raynor who was walking around the room, checking the closets and the bathroom.
“How are we able to hear your sister?”
“I have no idea. But that’s her voice.”
“Give it to me,” a deep voice filled the room. “You’re not doing it right. New rule, leave all technical things to me.”
“Really, you know nothing of modern technology,” Lola’s voice argued.
“That’s my baby sister.” Lark came to her knees on the bed.
“Yes, and that is my brethren, Joston. But how are we able to hear them?”
“Raynor, if you are on our craft, check one of the communication devices Kane installed into the seats.”
The seat. Lark was so thankful Raynor had brought the chair inside for her. Too bad she would no longer be able to use it. Claws free, Raynor ripped the piece of furniture to shreds as he searched for the device. It didn’t take him long to find it.
Grinning he handed it to her. “I will have my ruler send you another chair with your sister, Luna.”
Smiling, Lark took the device and communicated with her sister. “Lola, can you hear me?”
“Give it to me,” she heard Lola demanding. “Lark, are you there?”
“Yes, baby girl, I’m here.” Lark climbed off the bed, allowing her coverlet to drop to the floor.
“Thank the stars. I was so scared that something had happened to you.”
“Really? You’re worried about me, while you’re the one lost?” Tears welled within her eyes. Behind her, Raynor massaged her shoulders. Inside her, the beast assured her that all would be alright.
Lola’s voice filled the room again. “Please tell me our home and everyone in it is safe. And please tell me Luna is home.”
Lark sighed. “Our world is safe. Not everyone survived though, Lola. Luna is alive and safe. She will return home in a few wanings.”
“What about Farah?”
“I…” Lark paused. “I have no news of Farah.” She could hear her sister sniffling in the background, the male Raynor called Joston told her sister that she was not allowed to cry.
“I know,” Lola said. “I can’t help it. If your best friend was lost to the world wouldn’t you cry?”
“No, I would find him. I would not rest until he was accounted for. Speaking of which, Raynor, have you heard from Kane?”
“No word,” Raynor told him.
“Kane placed a tracking device underneath his skin.”
“Why did he do that?” Raynor asked.
“He said that Dhara told him he would need it for the adventure he was about to embark on with a green haired witch.”
“Farah,” both Lark and Lola yelled in unison.
“How do I track him?” Raynor spoke into the device.
“You can only track him from the ship.”
“I will begin tracking him come morning,” Raynor said.
“Good. Now mate,” Joston said to Lola. “Tell your sister goodbye. We have a long trek before us.”
“But I’m tired of walking,” Lola groaned.
“Lola where are you?” Lark asked her baby sister.
“I have no idea. Our pod was thrown off course thanks to someone’s barbaric ways. I won’t say no name. We’re on a world I’ve never studied.”
“Is it safe?”
“Nowhere is safe,” Joston answered.
“She was talking to me,” Lola chastised him. “I don’t know. So far we have not encountered any other life forms.”
“But they could be out there, lurking in the shadows,” Joston added.
“Lola, give me your coordinates. I will have Manuel send out an explorer craft to search for you.” Her only response was a crackling noise. “Lola. Lola. LOLA.”
Raynor took the device from her. “The connection is lost.”
“But I need to know her coordinates.”
“And we will get them,” he told her while placing the device on top of her dresser. “But we have to wait until they contact us again. We will try reconnecting with them in the morning.” Raynor came to stand behind her.
“She’s safe,” Lark smiled. Her sisters were safe. Thank the stars.
“Yes, she’s safe.” He wrapped his arms around her.
“We just have to find Farah now.”
“We will,” Raynor stated before kissing her shoulder. “They will all be safe and returned to you soon.”
Lark leaned into his touch as his arms tightened around her. “What are w
e supposed to do in the mean time?”
Raynor dropped to his knees and pushed her forward, bending her over. She braced her hands against the chair he’d brought in from his brethrens’ space craft.
“This,” he told her, spreading her legs apart.
The first swipe of his tongue over her flesh caused her to bite her lip. Each swipe after that made her and her inner beast tremble. She could feel her eyes swirling, a present from her vampire.
Now that a part of him lived in her, her eyes swirled red. She’d noticed it when they showered and she caught a glimpse of herself in the bathroom mirror. She loved it and to hell with anyone who didn’t.
As she rode the wave of pleasure, Lark thanked the stars that her mate had found her. She was thankful that he’d travelled across the galaxy to claim her. With him by her side, she could achieve anything.
No one would dare rise up against her. Not as long as she had her alien protector. Not as long as she was loved and cared for by Raynor Batiste, her beast from beyond.
“I love you sweet Lark,” he mumbled against her flesh before licking her once more.
“Not more than I love you,” she told him, tightening her grip on the chair. The beast inside of her growled its approval. Its presence was comforting. I love you too, she thought and felt her beast shudder. Its shuddering made her tremble more, bringing her closer to her orgasm.
Yeah, she was the luckiest being in the galaxy.
“No, we’re the luckiest beings in the galaxy,” her beast corrected her and Raynor growled his approval.
Lark blushed. Her protectors knew just what to say to send her over the edge. She came again, shuddering as Raynor swallowed her orgasm. And after they showered, Raynor made love to her slowly, against the shower wall, which led to them showering again.
As they dried off, the beast promised he would never allow anyone to hurt one hair on her head. And as they slept, the shadow they shared filled her dreams with visions of the future she would share with Raynor.
A smile spread across her face as she dreamed of Raynor holding a little girl with red swirling eyes and curly brown hair. The little girl laughed, revealing a set of dimples and a pair of tiny fangs.
She was a picture of perfection, forever protected by her fearless mother and her beastly father.

EXCERPT
“Dawn, dinner is ready,” her mother called again. “Come eat.”
She stood up and before she could turn around, her bedroom door began to creak open. She chanted her ‘it’s not real’ mantra, over and over again as she slowly turned around. Her bedroom door was wide open. But no one was there.
Moving slowly, she crept over to the door, glancing from left to right, fearing at any moment, the bloody mirage would jump out and grab her. She made it out into the hallway with no problems. In the hall the temperature was normal. She stared over her shoulder into her bedroom. Why was it so cold in there yet regular out here? She strode over to the stairs. Below, her mother and father were talking about his travels.
They sounded happy. They would begin singing a different tune once she arrived, especially if she told them what she was seeing and feeling. Dawn gripped the handrail and before she could take one step down the stairs, she felt a cold hand on her shoulder.
She spun around and stared into a pair of blood shot eyes.

Excerpt
“What type of nightmare is this?” She mumbled under her breath.
“This is no nightmare.”
Dana’s eyes jerked to the corner of the room. Sitting in a rocking chair was a little girl with pigtails. She looked oddly familiar.
“Who are you?” Dana asked. “And what are you doing in my home?”
“This is my home and has been my home for many years,” the child rocked back and forth in the chair.
“Untie me,” Dana told her.
“Not yet. Not until my daddy gets here.”
Dana would be long gone before then. “Listen little girl…”
“Call me Olivia.”
