Her Pride His Prejudice Page 9

by Jessie Rose Case

Overcome with his own need, Bennet pulled free of her mouth as his seed waning, splashing over her neck and shoulders as he finished. The intense need to rub his juices into her skin overtook him. Running his hands over her neck and shoulders he did just that.

Moving down her body with his lips, he kissed his way languishing over her breasts, then lower down her stomach to the curls at her apex. Bennet lifted her legs apart and licked, catching her juices on his tongue. Her flavour tingled, the riches honey. With a hunger barely held back, he placed a hand on her stomach to hold her still as he face planted and took what he wanted.

Will’s senses came roaring back. She’d been in a foggy sensual dream. Everything a little surreal. Unclear, all but for Bennet’s voice. Calming her, coaxing her. Telling her what was happening. She didn’t want to die. Her body unable to fight the lethargic state that was washing over her had scared the hell out of her.

Sex to live? Was that even a choice? She felt his hands on her, his mouth, teasing and tempting her with his wicked tongue. Lapping at her coaxing her again to climax.

The man was …. A god! She moved her legs giving him more room. He grunted and moved in closer, lifting her legs higher over his shoulders. Her body no longer hurt as it did but her need to come was almost desperate. Her hand slipped into his hair as she moved against his mouth needing to come. His mouth left her for a moment, as he looked up between her legs, his eyes smouldering.

“Hay beautiful. Welcome to the party.” He grinned wickedly and went back to work with a fervour she appreciated. Damn.

The days passed in a whirl of dominant passionate sex. Food would appear and he would feed her and later when she was stronger, they would eat together and talk a little, shower together. The need never far from the surface would soon overtake them. He would touch her, and she would ignite in her need for him. She would reach out for him and he would be hard and sliding between her folds and brutally fucking her with his own need to come or slowly, passionately, dragging out the desire almost beyond her endurance.

The bed baths turned into showers, to languishing baths, all complete with mouths, hands and his hard cock laying claim.

And then it broke. She woke up and her body was calm. No longer electrified or feverish unable to keep her hands off him and he was gone.

At first, she wondered if it had all been a dream but the state of the bed, then seeing the mess in the bedroom and bathroom, told her it had all been real.

Carefully making her way to the bathroom, she checked her temperature was back to normal but her body was still highly sensitive. The slightest touch and it responded, she ached in all the right places leaving no doubt the last few days had been real. Leaning forward in the mirror, her skin looked healthy and fresh, her lines looked better. Her breasts looked perkier too, the nipples up and rosy. Her butt felt tight and was it higher?

Will didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She looked good. The best sex of her life, courtesy of an accident of fate. With someone who was too young for her. Who had been pushed into this position by her carelessness. The thought was sobering and probably why he was gone as soon as he could get away from her. Her chest and cheeks flamed. How embarrassing was that? She could feel all these conflicting emotions, some felt different strange but mostly confusing.

She needed to get out of here. Staying was no longer an option. Facing him would be difficult at best. Memories of their time together surfaced. Will closed her eyes, it didn’t help. She needed to move, do something, take her mind off it all.

She wasn’t sure what she needed first, coffee or a bath, she settled on the bath. Memories threatened again of what they’d done in that bath. Will wiped them away. A lump formed in her throat; she couldn’t deal with that now. The bath was out. A shower. She quickly washed under the pounding water not thinking of anything, then dried her hair and dressed. Then she packed. She needed to get out of here.

She put coffee on then reached for the packing boxes taking three empty ones up putting in enough clothing and personal items to get by on until she bought more. Then she called Uber. Asked them to find her location and ask for Darcy’s guest house.

Taking a banana and muffin she waited at the table drinking the coffee. Twenty minutes they said. It seemed the longest twenty minutes of her life.

Greyson came in with a smirk, closing the door behind him and taking a chair in front of his desk. Bennet gave him a nod. “You good?”

“Yes it went well.” He rubbed at his chest. “She’s up. I can feel her. Lots of emotions. I was right to leave her. Give her time on her own to come to terms with it all.”

“You can feel all that from the mating bond?” Greyson asked.

“Yes.” He looked up from the pile of papers on his desk. The Kindred were old school. Mainly.

“Does she know what all that means?”

“Some not all. She knows what she needs to, the rest I tell her later.”

“Won’t be easy on her.” Greyson looked concerned. Bennet’s protective nature soared and held a tight grip on it. This wasn’t a challenge for his mate.

“I know. What did you get out of our guests?”

“Not much. Mercenaries, hires. They were good.” Bennet knew that first-hand. “Electronic contract and payment. Unusual for our kind. Went through their systems. Dead IP on the sender. The email had detailed instructions that were very specific, information obviously correct. They were to make it last, make it hurt, then kill you after three weeks and dump the body where it would be found. You just made the deadline. So it had to be someone close to you or had access to your itinerary or could get it. I’ve been through the house staff and our men, nothing, no gaps in memory or treachery.”

  “That leaves Jo.”

“Yes it does, though why is a mystery. She was a shoe in here. A long time on the cards and we both know that no one moves in that house without Saracens say so, so its likely under his orders.”

“Maybe she wasn’t as enamoured to be here after all. How did you explain my absence?”

“Urgent business as a result of you being missing. It shut her up.”

Bennet chin lifted. “Maybe they had another agenda. If I was gone, she was to be bonded. It would have given her a claim and therefore Saracen. It would have been a dick move but doable and I’d have expected you to fight it tooth and nail for your own leadership, but the council could have upheld her right.”

  “Fuckers.”

  “Yeah what’s new.”

  “Have you interviewed Jo?”

“No. Thought I’d leave that to you but she’s getting antsy. Definitely didn’t like that Darcy saved you and was staying here.”

“She know I’ve been staying with Darcy?”

Greyson shook his head. “No, the house is on lock down and I gave clear instructions that you were unavailable and that was it if anyone asked. I was making decisions in your absence.”

Bennet felt strong unsettling emotion coming from Darcy. An urgency to get this done and see her came over him. “Bring her. I want this over with.”

Her anxiety had been building to crazy levels. Seeing the car finally pull up the driveway, Will moved her boxes in the doorway, her laptop closing it, dumping the machine and cables into the top of the box.

She hadn’t wanted to just leave. Its seemed ungrateful somehow so she’d written a note leaving it on the counter. Addressed it to Bennet. Thanking him for saving her life and could they hold her stuff until she was settled and then she’d be in touch about the removal company.

She knew he had her number already and that it could be tracked, she’d get a burner. She’d found a shop selling burners not far away and turned her phone off ready to leave it behind.

The car came to a stop and Clay interceded it as the guy got out. He must have told him he was here for her. Will grabbed a box and walked out to the car.

“It’s ok Clay he’s here for me.”

  She
handed the box to the driver to put in the boot. Clay stood off to one side a little unsure. She went back in for the other two boxes.

“Thanks,” she handed them over to the driver. Then turned to Clay. “Would you lock up I’ve got to go.” He gave her a nod as she got in the car.

“I’ve got you down as going to the repair shop on Grosvenor is that right?” The driver confirmed.

She’d already worked this out. She knew they had excellent hearing.

  “Yes, thank you.”

She saw Clay move to the porch and close the door as her car moved away.

All the while expecting, maybe even hoping, that Bennet would come charging out on his white horse and drag her back. The car went through the security at the edge of her meadow without a hitch, then drove on to the main security for the estate. They asked her name, checked something and let her through.

It wasn’t until they reached the highway that she blew out a breath.

“Sorry, I’m not going to the repair shop. I need you to take me to the train station.”

“I’ll have to report it in, or my mileage won’t make sense.”

  “Ok. Hurry please.”

“Get your hands off me,” Jo was dragged in with Greyson who dumped her none too carefully in the other chair in front of his desk and stood behind her.

Jo looked back at Greyson and gave him ‘your dirt under my boot look’ then turned to Bennet with a huff. He smiled coldly at her and leaned forward.

“Hello Jo. We need to have a chat about the plans you made with Saracen.” Her face went white. Got ya.

Will looked at the train station as they pulled up. It was huge.

“I’ll get you a trolley.” The driver said as she got out. He came back and loaded up her boxes. She handed over 30$ and thanked him. Then pushed her trolley into the hub.

She knew exactly where she was going. She’d checked it out on her lap top a few times and thought that if she needed a vacation, that’s were she’d go. But she wasn’t stupid. She’d used Bennet’s wifi so her addresses could be tracked. She’d picked a number of places at random and only stayed on each about the same time. She’d flicked from one to the other making sure that she could access them easily by train and taxi. It was as good as covering her tracks as she could get. She didn’t want Bennet sending anyone after her. She hoped making it hard for him would put him off trying. He had more important thing to do and if those other people were tracking them like Bennet feared, she hoped this would hide her. She couldn’t be around him after what happened and pretend it hadn’t. And there was no way she was going to be a fuck buddy when he felt like it. Not that he’d offered.

She looked at the billboard and checked the times of the trains at the platforms. Will headed for the toilets, taking the one box that she really needed in with her. The other two only had items that were too damaged to fix and needed throwing, they’d given her a good cover story to get out of the estate and if anyone was looking, they’d think she was still in the wash room.

Going into a cubical. She pulled out the carry bag full of her stuff from the box and flattened the box. Opening her laptop she signed on to the stations free wifi and purchased the ticket she wanted and sent it to the burner she’d picked up on the way there, along with pulling out her savings from a local branch.

Changing her clothes from the shirt and slacks she’d walked in wearing to a dress was easy. She slipped a cardi over the top, letting her hair down, she made it all messy adding a couple of clips and put a hat on with large glasses ready to go.

A little make up that wasn’t her at all courtesy of someone’s shopping at her guest house and she good. She checked the time and the train notices. It was in and on time. Will closed her lap top and packed it back in her bag along with her clothes. Stood, flushed, although she’d not done anything and made her way out, keeping her face away from the cameras and walked steadily to the platform without glancing at the boxes still sitting on the trolley.

Giving her phone with the ticket on to the ticket attendant, she walked down the platform halfway and got on. Seeing no one else in the carriage. She changed her clothes quickly into jeans and replaced the dress, cardi and hat with a T and loose jumper brushing out her hair and putting it in a pony. Everything was packed away before anyone got on board and she moved to another carriage internally back the way she’d come.

His time with Jo had been interesting with the expected outcome. By the end of it, she was a wreak and had spilled her guts. Acting like he knew already gave her an out and gave him everything he needed. They had indeed planned for a takeover. Or Saracen had. Jo was his pawn.

A useful tool that he wouldn’t be happy had failed. It was an aggressive move even for Saracen. Bennet wondered why? Jo didn’t have those answers but a call to Saracen might.

He rubbed at his chest. The bond feeling was receding. He couldn’t feel Darcy like he did.

It bothered him but he was working in the dark, his parents didn’t talk about it much and it was still early days. Maybe that’s what happened until they shared blood and sex over and over again? It took time to build the bond for it to develop. He didn’t know but he didn’t like the feeling.

He’d deal with Saracen then go see Darcy.

The train pulled away and she let out a steady breath. She hadn’t dare move for fear that someone would see or find her. Bennet had been clear that people would be looking for her to get to him. She wasn’t about to let that happen. Pulling out her laptop she placed it on the table and fired it up. Sourced a new email address and sent it to all her contacts giving some excuse that her old one was no longer working.

Luckily, she’d not missed any deadlines. Then she contacted the agent regarding the beach villa. She’d take it sight unseen with linens and deposit and rent in cash on arrival, letting her know that she would be there around 10pm and hoped that it wasn’t too late. Will looked at the timetable, she had a connection in an hour. Plenty of time to do some work.

“I’ve Saracen for you,” Edward told him smirking coming into the office.

Everyone in his inner circle stood or sat around his desk. Bennet picked up the phone and put it on loudspeaker.

  “About fucking time,” Dawes mumbled.

Bennet grinned. Saracen had kept them waiting. He’d not expected anything less. But they had him by the balls.

“Saracen, thank you for picking up. It’s been a while.”

“So it has. Are you finally inviting me to the bonding ceremony?”

“I’m afraid that won’t be happening. Turns out that little bitch is a spy and tried to have me killed. Obviously, I won’t be bonding to that.” There was silence on the other end of the phone. “Nothing to say Saracen?”

“What Jo choses to do is her business. I’m surprised seeing as she was so keen to be with you. Argued for it for some time if I recall.”

“So you are saying that you had no knowledge or acted with her in this venture?”

“Of course not. I have better things to do.” Saracen sounded bitter. Angry.

“I’m glad to hear that. The Council doesn’t want a war. Both you and Jo are being called to witness. I’m sure that will sort it all out and we are happy to supply all the evidence Jo gave us. Good day.” He put the phone down.

“He’s going to be shitting himself.” Dawes grinned.

“He knows we won’t leave it to the Council.” Greyson told him. “He’ll be expecting us while he tries to wheedle out of this.”

Bennet nodded. “We’ll wait for the Council to make a decision, in the meantime pick up anyone who infringes our territory and anyone Jo knows in his compound. Let’s make sure there’s no hole he can crawl into.” They all departed.

Bennet rubbed his chest, he felt odd. Hadn’t been able to feel Darcy for hours and it was getting dark. Clay came rolling in. “Sorry Boss but she’s not back and I’m worried.”

  Bennet stille
d. “Darcy?”

“Yes sir, she arranged for an Uber to pick her up, said she was going to the repair shop, had some boxes with her. I thought she probably had to wait so she went to lunch or shopped but now its way passed that, I checked the house, she left this.”

Bennet stood. A chill swept through the room that soon turned to ice. His beast just under the surface, clawed at him to be free. Grayson hovered as Clay slowly passed him the note with his name on it. Opening it he read the message.

Hay Ben, I’m not sure what to say really.

Just didn’t want to go without saying thank you for saving my life.

I know that couldn’t have been easy on you and its all a bit embarrassing.

I don’t blame you for leaving as soon as you could. I could barely face myself!

Anyway, I have to go now. I’ll hide, they won’t find me.

  Take care of yourself. Darcy.

His beast let loose. His rage knew no bounds as it consumed him and blew through him and the building as his beast detonated into existence. The building rocked on its axis any level of control completely gone. He’d been fucking with politics while his mate had needed him and ran. He understood her emotions now. She’d been confused and upset, and he’d not been there to reassure her. Leaving her alone had been a dick move.
