Surjan stared at Saket, 'I am silent just because of my father. You are taking advantage of the situation. But believe me, you will be penalized for this. I have full faith on my father, he will surely punish you. And if he won't punish you, I will return soon to destroy you all.' Surjan shouted at Saket.
'Get lost you wretch.' All the common people of Ekchakranagari shouted throwing cow dungs and stones on Surjan.
But that couldn't affect him. He crossed the border of Ekchakranagari and went towards an unknown place.
Surjan was in great confusion, he had crossed the border of Ekchakranagari for the first time. He was completely unaware of the path, and was not able to think where he should go. He continued walking till ten prahars. The sunlight was at it's peak level. Surjan was very tired, and finally he sat on a small rock.
'What could be the reason of expelling me?' Surjan was still thinking of the reason, that why he has been expelled.
He was too much tired, and was starving too. As a result, he was soon fainted.
After two prahars, he opened his eyes in a cave.
The evil mentor Bhairavnath was in front of him. Surjan was suffering with severe head pain, Bhairavnath offered him some snacks.
'Take it, you will feel better.'
Surjan was starving since eight prahars. So he took the snacks without thinking anything and started eating it.
'Thank you, thank you so much for this.' Surjan was feeling grateful.
'You need a proper meal, bring it for him.' Bhairavnath made a call.
A demon arrived there with four types of dishes. For the first time in his life, Surjan has seen a demon. He was quite afraid.
'Don't be so afraid, you are one among us.' Bhairavnath tried to make him comfortable.
'What are you saying? I am human, what rubbish are you talking?' Surjan was astonished listening this.
'You are half human, and half demon since birth. You are born with the divine power of five elements Agni, Vayu, Prithvi, Jal and Aakash. These five elements are the base of this world, of which a body of any inhabitant is formed. You don't know about yourself, that you could be the most powerful warrior of this mortal world.' Bhairavnath motivated Surjan.
'I don't know what are you talking about?' Surjan was quite confused.
'Ok, Ok. Then you only tell me, why your brother expelled you from your kingdom?' Bhairavnath asked.
'I don't know. Actually, I am very surprised of his sudden change in behavior.'
'Do you want to know the actual reason, why your brother expelled you?' Bhairavnath wants to poison Surjan's mind.
'Yes, of course I want to know. My own brother accused me of being a murderer and that too of our mother. I have not even seen her since my birth, but I don't know why he blamed me.' Surjan was still not knowing why he is being punished.
'Because he was afraid of you, just because of your immense strength. Just look at you, you are just sixteen years old, and within few moments you defeated your brother in a duel, who was well trained till sixteen years. It was a blow to his ego and self respect, also he was afraid that you will be more popular among the people of Ekchakranagari, and a day will come when you will take away his throne. That's why he humiliated you among the people of Ekchakranagari.' Bhairavnath keep poisoning Surjan's mind.
Surjan was totally disturbed listening this. He was furious, his eyes were filled with the flames of vengeance. Perhaps the demoniac soul of Surjan was dominating on him.
'Elder Saket will pay for this, and….., and not only him, all the people of Ekchakranagari will pay for this. They discriminated me, humiliated me.'
Thereafter, Surjan was down on his knees in front of Bhairavnath, 'You have saved my life, now you only guide me. I accept you as my mentor, kindly tell me what should I do now?'
'You have the power of five elements, you need to activate in your soul.' Bhairavnath motivated Surjan.
'But how will I do it?'
'You have to continue intense meditation for four prahars a day. You have to do this for at least five years.' Bhairavnath suggested.
'As you wish, Gurudev. I will do this for five years.' Surjan was ready for it.
'But firstly you have to defeat the Demon King 'Dushal'. And you require at least one year of intense meditation for it.'
'The Demon King Dushal, I have heard about him from my mentor Sage Prajapati. He is one among most fierce warriors of Aaryavart. How could I defeat him?' Surjan was quiet surprised with what his mentor had in his mind for him.
Bhairavnath came near to him and said, 'Just believe in yourself, Surjan. You are born with the divine power of five elements. No one in this mortal world is powerful than you, even I must say, soon you will be called as the most fierce warrior of this era. Every living creature of this world will be terrified, when they hear of you.'
'Why should I spread fear of me among the common people? I am just in search of motive of my life. For what I am, and why I am here?' Surjan was in great confusion.
'Right now, you are very amateur. Don't you remember, how the common people of Ekchakranagari humiliated you? These are just humans, they should be pressed. Don't let them raise their tongue. They are born slaves, they don't deserve to stand in front of us.' Bhairavnath was poisoning the mind of that sixteen years old child.
These words of Bhairavnath was leading to huge impact on Surjan. The evil mentor Bhairavnath noticed it on his face, he tried to instigate him more.
'You were humiliated, discriminated by these humans. Prove them, that you are not a coward. They should know that, they have committed a great sin of humiliating you.'
'You… you are right, you are right, Gurudev. They all will be punished, but… but I can't do this.'
'But why you cannot do this? What's the problem?' Bhairavnath asked astonishingly.
'Till now my father is the king of Ekchakranagari. And I still love him, I can't attack on Ekchakranagari.' Surjan was feeling helpless.
'Okay, I understand. But still you need to gain strength, and for that you have to defeat the Demon King Dushal. So the demon's army could get a leader like you.' Bhairavnath suggested him.
'Leader of demons, you want me to be the leader of demons. What are you talking?' Surjan was quite shocked.
'Yes, of course, you will be the leader of demons. The demons deserve to rule the world, and they need a leader like you for this. And you need them too to avenge your brother.'
Surjan thought for a while, 'I am ready for it, Gurudev.' Surjan joined his hands in front of him.
'First of all you have to practice intense meditation for four prahars a day. You have to do this for atleast one year. Then you will be capable enough to defeat the Demon King. Also, the Demon King Dushal has one special attack, he often use to attack on the weak point on the neck of his opponent, due to which the half of the body of opponent gets paralysed for a sometime. You have to take special training for resisting his attack.' Bhairavnath continued explaining him detail about each and every move of the Demon King Dushal.
Surjan continued the hardcore mediation and training for a year. It was a very tough time for a sixteen year old kid, but still he continued it.
After the hardcore training of one year, Surjan was ready to fight with the Demon King. Bhairavnath was glad to find him capable enough to fight with the Demon King.
'Now the demon's race will get a new leader, who will lead to the domination of the demon's race over the whole Aaryavart.' Bhairavnath was eager to make Surjan 'the leader of demons'.
In Patallok, Dushal was ascended on the throne. Suddenly, a guard came and informed, 'My lord, the chief mentor of demons, Bhairavnath has arrived. He wants to meet you.'
'Bhairavnath, he has arrived after so many years. But why?' Dushal was in deep thoughts.
'What happened Dushal, Who is this Bhairavnath? And why you are so worried?' Vakrbaahu wants to know the reason of the silence of the Demon King.
Dushal stepped down from his throne, and ordered his guard, 'You go
and bring him in.'
Thereafter, he turned towards Vakrbaahu, 'Bhairavnath was the chief mentor of Demons. His mind is always filled with many evil plans. He always wants to use me to conquer over the humans, but I am not that kind of person who can kill innocent people just for the sake of thrones.'
Bhairavnath entered the palace of Patallok, with seventeen years old Surjan.
'Now for what you have come here?' Dushal questioned Bhairavnath arrogantly.
Bhairavnath stepped forward and stared at Dushal, 'You can never think about the progress of the demon's race. So the demons deserve a new leader, who could think in their favour.'
'Oh…. Really. But for that you have to bring a demon warrior, who could defeat me.' Dushal smiled.
'Of course, I know it very well. That's why, I have come with a warrior who is capable enough to defeat you.' Bhairavnath smiled at Dushal.
'Oh really, if such is the case then I am eagerly waiting to see the warrior who is capable of defeating me.' Dushal was quite excited.
Listening this, the seventeen year old Surjan stepped forward, 'I am the one, about whom my mentor is talking about.'
Dushal stared at him, 'You are just an amateur kid. I could not raise my weapon on a kid, that's not my policy. So I would suggest you to leave.'
Surjan stepped forward towards Dushal, 'Are you afraid of defeat, the great Demon King?'
Dushal stared at him for a while, he confronted Bhairavnath, 'Shame on you. You call yourself as demon's mentor, and you are using an amateur youngster to fulfill your desires.'
'I have to do this, because you have forgotten the responsibility of the welfare of the demons. He is born to fight with you. I was waiting for him since seventeen years. And now he is ready to fight with you.' Bhairavnath challenged the Demon King Dushal.
'I cannot raise my weapon on him. That's against my policy.' Dushal defied to fight with Surjan.
Then one minister of demons stepped down from his seat and came near to him.
'You are the Demon King, my lord. May be it is against your policy to fight with him. But being a Demon King, you can't reject this challenge.'
'What rubbish are you talking? He is a kid in front of me, also I don't know even he is a demon or not. As we all can see, he appears to be a human as like a prince of any kingdom.' Dushal stared at Surjan.
'He is half human, and half demon. Looking at him, no one can guess that he is a demon. But this prince of Ekchakranagari 'Surjan' is born to lead the demon's race.' Bhairavnath said proudly.
Dushal stepped towards Surjan, and asked his minister, 'What's your suggestion?'
'You should accept this challenge, my lord. Otherwise, your people will not respect you.'
Bhairavnath stared at that minister and smiled, that minister also replied him with same expressions. They both were together, but Dushal was unaware of this conspiracy.
'Ok fine, I am ready for the fight.' Dushal agreed for the fight.
'So what should be the bet for this fight?' Bhairavnath asked.
'A bet?' Dushal was astonished.
'Why you are staring at me like this? What is meaning of a duel without any bet? One who wins should be rewarded.' Bhairavnath drafted a proposal.
It was very tough to guess the intentions of Bhairavnath, then also Dushal accepted this, 'Ok, you only decide, what should be kept for the bet.'
Listening this, Surjan stepped forward, 'If you defeat me, I'll be your slave for life. That means, I am putting myself at stake.'
Dushal also stepped forward and said, 'If you are putting yourself for bet, then I am also ready to put myself…..'
'Wait Dushal.' Vakrbaahu didn't allowed Dushal to complete his words.
Dushal turned back, 'What happened Vakrbaahu?'
'You are the leader of demons, you need not to put yourself on stake. I am there for you, I will put myself at stake for this fight.' Vakrbaahu was ready to put himself at stake.
'But, Vakrbaahu…..'
Before Dushal could complete his words, Bhairavnath interfered in between in their talks, 'We accept this offer. Hurry up, we don't have much time for argument.'
That minister of demons also supported Vakrbaahu, 'I agree with army chief Vakrbaahu. You are the Demon King, so you should not put yourself at stake.'
'I can't do these…' Dushal was stressed.
'You have to do this, my friend. I know very well, you will only win this duel. You are the warrior who defeated me in a duel, he is just an amateur boy.' Vakrbaahu motivated his friend.
'So it is decided, Vakrbaahu will be at stake for this fight. This duel will be fought in front of the whole demon's army. They should also get to know about the strength of their new leader.' Bhairavnath said proudly.
'I agree with you, they all will be the witness of this fight.' Dushal was confident.
Soon an arena was prepared for the duel. The fight was about to start within a prahar. Surjan was in a room, Bhairavnath came there to motivate him.
'Are you ready for the fight?' Bhairavnath asked Surjan.
'Although I am ready for it, Gurudev. But I am not too much confident.'
'You have to be confident. You need the support of demon's army to take your revenge, whenever you feel, that you are turning weak in front of Dushal, just think about the discrimination and humiliation you got from the people of Ekchakranagari. That will surely help you. You have to punish them all, and for that you have to defeat the Demon King.' Bhairavnath motivated his disciple.
'I am ready for the fight.' Surjan stood up, and tried to strengthen himself. Thereafter, he stepped towards the arena.
'Wait Surjan.' Bhairavnath interrupted.
Surjan turned back, 'What happened Gurudev?'
'You are going to be the leader of demons. They will worship you as their lord, so this Surjan name doesn't suits you.'
'So what should be my name as the leader of demons?' Surjan asked.
Bhairavnath came nearer to him, 'If you win this duel. You will be called as 'Durbheeksh', the symbol of destruction. Durbheeksh, the Demon Lord.'
This statement raised the confidence of Surjan, 'As you wish Gurudev?' He then turned and stepped towards the arena.
Soon Dushal and Surjan were in front of each other. All the sounds of praise of the crowd was for the Demon King Dushal, but it was unable to affect the confidence level of Surjan.
Both the warriors picked up a spear to fight. Thereafter, they rushed towards each other and both the spears collided. Dushal was astonished to notice the speed and accuracy of the seventeen years old boy. Soon Surjan made a fierce attack on him, Dushal defended successfully, but his right hand was quite injured. This lead to the pin drop silence among the crowd. The injured Dushal stared at Surjan, 'It was good one boy. I underestimated you, but now there will be no mercy.'
Dushal started fighting with his complete strength, he made a fierce attack and pushed Surjan few steps backward. The crowd once again started praising Dushal. Surjan regained his strength and again rushed towards Dushal. This duel continued till a prahar, both the warriors were disarmed now. Now this was the matter of muscular strength. Both the titans rushed and collided once again. Dushal was astonished to see the strength and skills of the seventeen years old kid. Surjan was giving tough competition to Dushal, and that was the reason of silence of the crowd.
