Ransom: Dead Ringers MC Book 2 Page 23

by Deja Voss

How he gave me the greatest gifts of all… a real family of my very own, and a man who I love more than I ever even thought possible. He gave me my sister back. He gave me another mother who I don’t know how I ever functioned without.

He scoops me up in his arms and tears pour down my face. “I never pictured things ending up like this, Brad,” I say. “You really outdid yourself. You don’t even know.”

“You don’t have to say another word, Bella.” He sets me to the ground and I wrap my arms around Ransom, hugging him tight. “I might be a piece of shit scumbag, but I always make things right.”

“Come on guys,” Anita says, clapping her hands together. “I will happily feed you all, but I’m not carrying this shit inside myself. Hurry up before it gets cold.”

Kid rolls his eyes and starts grabbing pans of food from her van.

“That asshole might have saved you, but he saved me, too,” Ransom says, kissing me on the forehead. “What a piece of work.”

Kid is coming your way this August!

When I went to prison willingly, I was just trying to do right by my club.

I was just trying to face the consequences of my evil ways -

repent for my sins and let everybody around me heal from the hurt I brought on the MC all these years.

When I got out early, I figured I would turn my life around once and for all, but that’s easier said than done.

I have a reputation to uphold and a club to rebuild.

  I could go either way.

I could become the hero, or I could be the stuff nightmares are made of.

The she devil from my past is on one shoulder telling me to give in to my darkness.

  And then there’s Ashley.

She’s light and love and all things good. She’s dedicated her life to taking care of people. Her father wants her nowhere near the MC, but for some reason, she’s drawn to me like a moth to a flame.

Both of us could get burned by my wickedness…

or maybe she just might be the only one who can save us both.
