Brooklyn was excited to see Jade, Layla, Cassidy, Peyton, and Harlow again. She hadn’t had a chance to chat with them after the fashion show because of television commitments. She met Melody Colton for the first time and thanked her in person for the products she supplied. Kendall Demarchis, Olivia Mylonas, and Taylor Costa were incredible, and she thanked them, too. And goodness, the men were so handsome. She felt like she was walking onto a set with a bevy of models. Gage was the most gorgeous of them all, but she had to admit, Dante Costa gave him a run for his money.

She had so much fun that she didn’t want the evening to end, but people eventually started heading home. Gage drove her back to his apartment in his golf cart.

“This place is magical,” she said.

“I like it. But it’s not home.”

  Her eyes widened. “It’s not?”

He shook his head slowly. “Home is wherever you are.”

  Tears filled her eyes.

“I love you, Brooklyn. I have from the minute I stepped into your office. I knew then that my life had changed. I can’t imagine it without you.”

Though they’d said the words to each other before, they seemed to have more meaning now. They were on the cusp of deciding the rest of their lives. “I love you, too, Gage. So, so much. I don’t want to live without you.”

He pulled her in for a passionate kiss. “I haven’t told my bosses yet that I’m leaving.”

She gasped and pulled back. “You can’t leave your job. You love it, and you’re good—no great at it.”

“Doesn’t matter. Your life is in New York.”

“No, as you said, my life is with you. You would never be happy if you had to give this up, and I wouldn’t be happy knowing you did because of me. I can design anywhere, and there are always planes. I want to be here with you.”

  “You do?”

  “Absolutely.”

He kissed her again, and she felt like the luckiest woman on the planet.
