The lecture ended and most of the students are already leaving the lecture room but it seems like Eros has no any intentions of waking up and most especially leaving the room.
Since our professor forgot to wake the The Beta up, no one from the students are willing to wake him up, I guess they are too scared to receive his anger that's why they are just leaving the lecture room like that even if they know that there will be a next class after ours.
I took a deep breath and looked at him. Should I wake him up? Or should I just leave? But if I do, the students outside will have to wait forever and if I wake him up, I will be in a big trouble because we're not close enough and knowing his personality. He will never go easy on me just because I made him and the Cardinal get back together again.
I slowly approached him and then I slowly move my hand to tap him but before I could even touch Eros, someone jumped in front of me and then he rashly spanked the Beta's back making Eros roar in anger.
"Who the f*ck!!!--"
"Bro! We're having our class delayed just because you sleep in class!!!" Yvan shouted.
It was Yvan who spanked the Beta's back hard.
"F*ck off Yvan!! That was hard!" Eros shouted in anger and gently rubbed his shoulder.
I sighed in relief and looked at the door, a lot of students are waiting outside, it seems that they will be the next ones who will occupy the lecture room. It's a very good thing that their professor did not arrive yet.
And it's a very good luck that this is Yvan's next class schedule because he's the only one who can wake the Beta in that manner.
"Just look at the students waiting outside just because of you" Yvan said and pointed at them.
Eros glared at him and got his jacket.
"Is annoying me you're only hobby? Yvan?" Eros asked annoyed but Yvan seemed to like what Eros had said.
Eros shook his head because of annoyance and left.
"Won't you leave too? We will also have our class" Yvan said as he shift his gaze to me.
I smiled and tapped Yvan's back "Thanks Van, for coming on time. Eros would have killed me if was the one who woke him up" I said.
"Nah, annoying him is my hobby anyway" He said "Bye then" I said and left the lecture room.
As I was walking on the cat walk, I saw Eros who is taking his time walking. I sighed.
Should I also walk slow to not over take him or should I walk fast to over take him? I hate bumping into him and I hate it when I catch his attention.
I gathered all of my courage and started walking fast. I managed to over take him but as I over take him, he spoke.
"Hey human" He said and I know he's calling me. He's freaking calling me!! Well I know it's me because we're the only ones in the cat walk right now.
I turned around to see him looking at me.
"Me?" I asked, he chuckled.
"If its not you, who am I calling then?" He asked. I smiled "Why?" I asked and then for no reason, I asked something that I know would embarrass me.
"Do you perhaps want to thank me because of what I did?" I asked, he showed me his confused eyes.
"Thank you for what?" He asked, "Uhm for making you and the Cardinal together again?" I said.
Eros laughed and looked at me amused "So you think its because of you. Don't flatter your self, you just advised me but I was the one who made the move. There's no credits for you" He said sounding arrogant.
I rolled my eyes "If you're not going to thank me, why did you call me then?" I asked.
After hearing that, he hesitated for a while and then he looked at me "I heard you're close with Misty, help me with my surprise later in the afternoon" He said arrogantly.
I laughed silently, after being selfish and after refusing my credits he is shamelessly asking me for a freaking favor? Wow, he's one of a kind.
"Why should I do it? After all, you're refusing the fact that I was the one who helped you" I said.
"This is a command human, so are you telling me that you're refusing the Beta's command?" He asked.
Wow just wow, and now he's using his position to threaten a civilian?!
"Well not really respected Beta because the Alpha ordered me to report to him after my class in the afternoon which means I can not help you due to my responsibility as the Alpha's one and only servant" I said and smiled.
I smirked as he was startled when I brought up the Alpha "Well you can always have me to help you its just that the only problem is that you will have to go against the Alpha's orders to fulfill your love life" I said sounding innocent trying to mock him.
He looked at me with those annoyed eyes.
"Are you trying to mock me?" He asked, I shook my head.
"Of course not, why would I even dare to do that? So tell me, should I help you later or should I go to the Alpha?" I asked.
Again, he looked at me using his very annoyed gaze.
"You're the Alpha's servant, it's just natural for you to follow his orders. How dare you help me and go against the Alpha?" He said and avoided my gaze.
I smiled, finally he admitted my victory.
"I should go then, I still have my class" I said and walked away smiling widely and feeling triumphant.

After my class, I immediately fixed my things to get to the Hyrid mansion. As I am waiting for Mr. Jackson, the Alpha's driver, I saw Lara walk pass me but it seems like she was not able to see me. She's walking too fast like as if there's an emergency that she needs to attend to.
After getting out of the gate, again, I saw her get on that big truck where I saw her get in yesterday.
Just what is Lara been doing these days that she's always busy.
As I am thinking deeply about Lara, I heard a honk and saw Mr. Jackson with my favorite Bugatti.
"Mr. Jackson, it seems like you're too early?" I said.
"Yeah, the Alpha has not arrived home yet. It seems like there's an emergency in the office" Mr. Jackson said.
"He's busy? Does that mean he forgot that he asked me to go there?" I asked and smiled "And does that mean I don't need to go?" I excitedly asked.
After saying that, Mr. Jackson showed me his strict face.
"Are you neglecting your job and responsibilty as the Alpha's servant Cassandra? And even if the Alpha's not in the mansion, he might look for you, he might ask you to go to his office and bring food or any necessities" Mr. Jackson said trying to scold for my behavior.
I glared at him and then I twisted my lips "Fine, you don't have to scold me. I'm coming" I said and got on the passenger's seat.
Mr. Jackson shook his head and then he entered the car.
He started the engine and started driving "How many years we're you serving the Alpha? Mr. Jackson?" I asked.
"More than a hundred years? I was there before he was born" He said, my eyes grew wide.
"You're a wolf Mr. Jackson?!" I asked, Mr. Jackson seemed surprised maybe because I asked him loudly.
"You don't have to shout Cass" Mr Jackson said "And of course I'm a wolf, a human can't serve the Hybrid Empire" Mr. Jackson said.
"So does that mean that the only human in the Hybrid mansion are me and the Cardinal?" I asked.
Mr. Jackson nodded. "I even wonder why the Alpha chose to have a human servant and to top it of, you are his first servant" Mr. Jackson said.
It's because of my scent obviously.
Chapter 14
A Night with the Alpha
Mr. Jackson nodded "I even wonder why the Alpha chose a human to be his servant and to top it of, you are his first servant" Mr Jackson said as he focus his sight to the road
I sighed "It's because of my scent obviously" I whispered but it seems like Mr. Jackson was not able to hear it since he did not say a thing. The rest of the trip was silent until we reach the Hybrid mansion.
I got out of the car and as usual, the two guards who are always standing right in front of the door are there standing like statues who doesn't even flinch an inch. I smile
d and flicked my fingers in front of one of them.
"Hard working huh? Are you even breathing?" I said but he stayed silent and he did not even gave any attention to me.
I glared at him "Urgh, forget it" I said and entered the mansion but as I enter the mansion, I heard a number of car tires rushing towards me.
From the first car, it was the Alpha, followed by the Beta from the second car and then there goes Yvan from the third car and so followed by other members of the Hybrid Empire.
Everyone seemed so busy that they we're not able to see or notice me and they we're all so busy going to the meeting room.
Before the Alpha could enter the meeting room, he looked at me "Join us for the meeting Cassandra" He ordered and entered the meeting room.
I looked at Yvan as I try to point at myself but he just nodded and entered the room, confused, I walked towards the door but before entering, I saw Misty rushing towards us.
"Hey Mist!" I said, she saw me and rushed towards me
"Are they all inside? I was actually informed late that I will be a part of the meeting" Misty said, I raised my eyebrows because of confusion.
"You will also attend the meeting, I will do it too" I said and now we're both confused.
"Why would the Alpha let humans in the meeting?" I asked.
After saying that, Misty leaned on to me to get closer and then she whispered "What if they already found out t-that I'm not the real Cardinal and we're spies?" Misty said, I immediately shushed her to quiet her.
"Don't say that" I said and dragged her to the meeting room.
"I also don't know the reason but for now we have to enter the meeting room, they're waiting for us" I said.
As we enter, one of the Zeta is discussing something in front while everyone is focused.
Misty and I sat beside Yvan who is also busy focusing himself to the meeting. "What's happening? Why is there a meeting and why are we involved??" I asked Yvan. With those questions, I don't know what Yvan will choose to answer.
"A hunter was caught in the border of Luna Canidae and the hide out of the Rebellion Empire. The Zetas are saying that the Hunter Empire is coming back" Yvan said. The Hunter Empire is back?
Confused, I looked in front to listen to one of the Zetas.
As far as I know, the hunters are the third Empire who has gone extinct years ago because of the war and from what Lucy had told me when I was in the Rebellion Empire. The Hunter Empire is my own Empire which I think does not make any sense.
"This is planned to be an ambush to one of the member of the Hybrid Empire. It was a good thing that the target sensed that he will be a victim of ambush that's why he asked for a back up. The hunters who made this ambush did not know about the back up and moved on continuing the plan" The Zeta said as he explained how they manage to catch that one hunter member.
"The back up was able to catch one member but unfortunately, with the use of their weapon and incredible sense, most of them manage to escape and some died in the ambush attack that's why we only manage to catch one Hunter" The Zeta said.
"But how are you so sure that they are Hunters? Remember, we all killed the hunters and their children ten years ago" Eros said.
"Yes, all of the leaders of the hunter empire died ten years ago but actually, we we're not sure if we really killed all of children of the Hunter Empire" Says another Zeta.
"Remember that we did not kill all of the children who are below ten years old that time due to the reason that the Cardinal of our generation was also below ten years of age that time. We can't sacrifice the life of the Cardinal just for a hunter's child" The Zeta explained.
I formed a fist in my hands, so that's it, that is one of the fucking reason why I was sent to the city at a very young age. To avoid being killed by the Hybrid Empire just for them to be able to eradicate all the children of the hunter empire?
For a moment it was silent, after all the fake Cardinal is here.
But yes thanks to the Cardinal's existence, I was able to escape this place and manage to live.
And thinking back, if Misty's not the real Cardinal, then where is the real Cardinal and how was Misty chosen as the Cardinal? Does she also have a unique smell that possess that of a Cardinal's blood?
"But how are you so sure that the Hunter Empire is back again? It could be that this guy is just playing some pranks because he was a fan of the hunter empire?" Eros asked.
"The Delta will explain further" The Zeta said and sat down on his chair, Yvan stood up and walked in front. Yvan? What does Yvan have that he's so confident it's a hunter?
Yvan pulled up a slide and it showed a very familiar tattoo, after seeing that, my eyes went big as I tighten my grip to my jeans. That tattoo, a tattoo of a sword penetrated to a wolf's head, the same tattoo that Lara has.
What is that tattoo doing in that Hunter's body?
A picture of the hunter that the Zetas had caught was in the slide showing his tattoo, why the hell is that guy having the same tattoo with Lara?
"As we all know, this is the symbol and identity of a hunter and just recently, before the ambush had occurred, my human friend who is the Alpha's servant saw a tattoo similar to this in the university but unfortunately she was not able to familiarize the face" Yvan said.
"My point here is that the hunters could be everywhere and what's terrifying here is that their number may be larger that what we have thought. That the number of hunters right now may be double or triple of their population years ago and if that's true, we will be in a very big trouble" Yvan said.
"Half of the population in Luna Canidae are humans and it's possible that half of them are hunters. I'm not saying that it is, its just that we need to consider these possibilities" Yvan said.
"So what do you want us to do?" Asks one of the Zetas.
"Since someone saw a tattoo similar to this in the university, why don't we start investigating the university students? I know that this may sound inhumane but I think we have to inspect their bodies" Yvan suggested.
"Wait what?!" Misty and I almost stood up synonymous as we shout the same words, we we're both against that idea, of course we oppose the idea because we're humans. Well as for me, I oppose that personally because if they do that, they will know that I'm a spy to both empires because of my tattoos which symbolizes both the Rebellion and Hybrid Empire.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but the humans will never approve of that idea, yes the wolves rule Luna Canidae but we're talking about human rights here and as far as I know, human rights is included in the rule book of the Hybrid Empire" I said.
"Cassandra's right, this act will not just damage human rights but it will also concern the credibility of the Alpha's rule. As you said earlier, half of the population of Luna Canidae are humans which means half of the Alpha's people are humans. They will lose their trust and respect to you if you force them to do something they don't want to" Misty added.
Well said Misty, well said.
"Who are you to oppose the Delta's words and use the Alpha's position to threaten us? You're just humans whose role here is to listen" Says one adviser of the Alpha.
My eye brows just literally rose because of the discrimination I just heard, just what kind of situation is this? This is much worse that racism.
"Enough, their right" Says the Alpha who has not said a thing the entire meeting, he stood up and looked at us.
"Listen and look at the two girls who are standing right now. Maybe some of you might not know but the two of them are the only humans in this room and in the Hybrid mansion. Many of you were not able to meet the Cardinal yet but the Cardinal is actually one of them" Says the Alpha which obviously created a ruckus.
"The Cardinal's one of them?" Asked another adviser.
"And one of them is my only servant who happened to see the tattoo of a hunter, so obviously as a Cardinal and as the Alpha's only servant, they have the rights to speak what's in their mind, after all, their here to represent the humans" The Alpha said as Misty and I
slowly sat down due to this awkward feeling that the Alpha created.
Hiding his hands to his pocket, he looked at us "From now on, they will attend every meeting that we will have to conduct and just like the others, you have to respect their opinion especially that one of them is the Cardinal and I bet you all know the Cardinal's rank, her rank is the same as the Beta" The Alpha said and went back to his sit.
"So, if the humans oppose this decision, what alternative can you suggest then? We still should not ignore the idea that hunters may be every where and that we need to do something to identify them" Says Yvan as he locks his gaze to us. More like to me? I don't know.
Misty and I both looked at each other, an alternative? Right, we should not easily oppose an idea if we don't have an alternative.
"D-do you have anything in mind? Cass?" Misty asked.
I thought for a while, neither I don't have.
"So you don't have an alternative?" Yvan asked.
"Well you can't just oppose an idea without getting an alternative, you should know that" Yvan added.
"Some humans are very sensitive towards their body and some are not. Instead of forcing them to have their body be inspected. Why don't we classify first those who want to be inspected so that we can start inspecting their bodies. As for the humans who does not want to, we will have to explain to them that this is mandatory and that we will not inspect a very sensitive part of their body" I said trying to explain my side.
"What if that sensitive part of their body is the location of their tattoo?" Asked one of the Zeta.
"As we all know, putting up a tattoo is actually dangerous to humans especially if the location is a sensitive part. Humans don't usually put a tattoo in sensitive parts" I said.
"Will that be a good alternative?" I asked.
Yvan nodded "Not bad, with the agreement of all, the inspection will happen tomorrow" Yvan said.
I sighed as I form a fist in my hands. Even if I opposed the idea, the inspection will still happen and what's worse, I was not able to help myself nor Lara.
It's possible that they will also inspect me tomorrow, what should I do then, for them not to be able to see my Rebellion tattoo?
