"I freaking regret it up until now that I insisted coming in Luna Canidae even though Granny never wanted me to come here because if I didn't insist to come in this freaking place, I shouldn't have met Serafin whose threatening my life right now, I shouldn't have come to Luna Canidae University because there is where I met the leader of the hunters, I shouldn't have met the childish and selfish Beta, I shouldn't have met the Delta who I only give a hard time, I shouldn't have come to the Hybrid Mansion because there is where I met the fake Cardinal and the Alpha which happened to be my freaking mate" I said with my tone and voice filled with anger and sarcasm.
I looked at Eros, what a waste of time and effort to think that he will be able to understand me when in fact he can't or more like he won't understand me.
"Are you even getting and understanding what position am I in or do you just want to see the bad side and the disappointing side that I did. To tell you the obvious Eros, I never betrayed anyone and never intended to betray anyone" I said as I sigh, one more of this and I will definitely explode.
"This just happened to me because its my freaking fate. This is happening to me because it should happen to me and the only thing that I can do right now is to freaking face it and fix it that's why I'm having you two right now. You both are here to help me and understand me so that we can save Luna Canidae from the future potential threats and not to mock me because of my fate" I said still having my gaze locked at them.

"You promised me that you will try to understand me but here you are judging me so fast like as if understanding me is never in your options and will never be in your options. You're so fast to see the mistake that I made but was too blind to see what I have to go through just because of the freaking Rebellion and Hybrid Empire" I added trying to calm myself.
Chapter 21
Her Childhood Friend
I formed a fist in my hands because I can not freaking control my self right now and I'm really getting angrier and angrier right now.
"And oh not to mention Eros but I was first the Rebellion Empire's Queen before becoming the Alpha's mate so obviously I will choose to lie for Misty and Lara because they are my freaking friends and they are also important to me like a family and now that I became the mate, I am now trying to fix what should be fixed but here you are trying to judge me even though you promised me that you wouldn't mock me" I said still having my gaze to them.
"You promised me that you will try to understand me but here you are judging me so fast like as if understanding me is never in your options and will never be in your options. You're so fast to see the mistake that I made but was too blind to see what I have to go through just because of the freaking Rebellion and Hybrid Empire" I added trying to calm myself.
I sighed "Tell me, do you still want to listen to me and help me with this for Luna Canidae and for your beloved Misty or will you just leave to inform the Alpha about this? Its your choice anyway, I won't stop you" I said as I gaze at Eros who I think is having a freaking internal conflict.
I smirked and stood up "Fine then, I get it and I understand you, I guess I'll just have to inform the Alpha about this then" I said and stood up.
"I-I'm sorry" Before I could totally leave, I heard Eros spit out the words that he can't even say.
I looked at him with my eyes confused "What did you say?" I asked.
"I-I'm sorry okay, fine I will stay and I will try to listen to you. This is for Luna Canidae anyway" He said and looked at me with his pleading eyes.
I smirked as I gaze at him "Nope, you shouldn't try Eros. you should understand me for you to be able to help me" I said and walked back to my seat.
"So where are we?" I said as I recall where we ended before Eros and I had an argument.
Before I could even recall what I'm about to say, Yvan spoke "But before that Cass, are there other things that we need to know from you? Do you still have other secrets that you need to tell us? Because if you do, you should tell us right away so that we could prevent further shocks and disappointments from happening" Yvan said amuzing me because of his maturity.
I smiled to ensure them that there's nothing more "Don't worry because that's all that you need to know and so to summarize it, yes I am the Rebellion empire's queen before becoming the Mate and I also knew that Misty is a fake Cardinal and to top it of, I also know the identity of the leader of the rebellion empire" I said as I look at them.
I sighed "I know that I have kept major secrets from all of you that may bring Luna Canidae to danger but that time, keeping secrets all to myself was the best remedy and that's all I thought" I said trying to explaing my side making them believe me.
After pausing for a while, I spoke again "And the million dollar question here is that how will you handle it" I said and shifted my gaze to Eros.
With his eyes confused, he pointed at himself "Me?" He asked confused while pointing at himself.
"So you really want me to tell" I said and looked at Yvan.
"Yvan might not know this but I think he should know since he will know in the future anyway, you are dating Misty again right? So how the hell will you handle it? Especially now that you know everything" I asked and after saying that he suddenly raised his eye brows.
"Wait what? Who told you that we're dating?" Eros asked still showing me the eyes of a confused man
"You admitted it your self, you even thanked me--"
"No I mean--- w-well yeah I thanked you because of that but actually Misty and I we're not really dating. Well I hope we really are dating but we're not because she said she's not worth it and we shouldn't be together. I did not understand it at first when she told me that kind of excuse" Eros said and then suddenly he smiled bitterly.
"I even thought that she's just making excuses but now I get to understand the reason why she said that to me" He explained making me raise my freaking eye brwos.
So they're not freaking dating?!? Misty chose not to date Eros because she knew that its impossible to do so and it will be really unethical to date him especially that she's just pretending as the Cardinal and because she knows that she's holding a very grave sin.
"So Misty chose to carry all the weight of the burden of being the fake Cardinal that she refused dating you again because she doesn't want to burden you" I said as I stare at Eros who is now having an internal conflict because of Misty.
I smirked after seeing Eros that way, it serves him right anyway.
As I attempt to change the topic, I sighed and crossed my arms "So there you go since the both of you already know what's happening both to me and to the Rebellion Empire, what I ask both of you to do is to inspect the ones working for the Hybrid Empire. Serafin managed to plant Misty as the Cardinal and he even used me as a spy so obviously I and Misty are not the only ones threatened to become spies planted by Serafin in the Hybrid Mansion, that's the very first thing that we need to do" I said as I look at them.
"Second thing, since I chose to go against the King and fight for Luna Canidae, Serafin will definitely target the people close to me and one is obviously my grandmother who is my guardian, I ask to put the level of her security to level one VIP, the same security to mine" I said as the both of them nod.
I smiled since none of them seem to oppose the idea "This kinds of information and plan should be known to the Alpha because he needs to know this anyway and don't worry because I will raise this to him myself but before we could even raise this to the Alpha, I need to know yo
ur thoughts and opinion on what should be done to Lara and Misty because if its raised to the Alpha, it will also definitely be known to the other Hybrids" I said.
"And if its raised to the other Hybrids without having any plans or back ups then it will create a huge mess especially that I am involved here" I said as I sigh.
"The moment that the truth that the Alpha's human mate once lied and acted as a spy to the Hybrid Empire bringing threat to Luna Canidae, it will definitely taint the Alpha's name and I don't want that to happen" I said.
"If you are so curious about what he thinks, why don't you ask him yourself?" Yvan asked as he stare at me.
I sighed and before I could even say something, he spoke again "He's been listening to you all this time anyway" Yvan said, I raised my eye brows because of what he said "Listening all day? What do you mean?" I asked.
Yvan sighed and then he flipped he's phone as it shows there the word 'Alpha' which means that Lucas is listening to us using a call. He's been freaking listening to us all this time!
"What the hell---"
"We need to talk after your class today Cass and you should know that I'm a little disappointed that you chose to talk with Eros and Yvan more than talking to me and on top of that there's a lot issues that we need to talk to" Lucas said on the other line and hanged up the call.
I was left speechless on the spot that I can't say a thing and move an inch not knowing what to do because Lucas heard everything and he now knows all of my secrets.
All of the secrets that I've been hiding.
The moment that Lucas ended that call, I know and we know that this conversation here should be wrapped up immediately.
I looked at Yvan with all annoyance in my face and then I crossed my arms with matching eye brows raised. He should know what sin he commited "You freaking, disloyal and annoying wolf, you invited two people that made this conversation really awkward and to top it of, you did it without my freaking permission. You are really getting in to my nerve this day Yvan" I said showing him my annoyance.
Yvan sighed and looked at me "I did it because I obviously need to and they also need to know the truth and because they have all the rights to know, you can't always hide everything from us Cass" Yvan explained as he defend himself still looking at me straight in the eyes.
"Yeah yeah yeah explain yourself Yvan, I need to leave now. I'll just have to look for someone" Eros said as he stand up, of course I know who will this lover boy over here will try to look for.
"You will try to look for Misty? I'm afraid you can't find her. Eros she suffered a lot from the tortures she received from Serafin and so I sent her together with Lara to a place where they can heal their wounds and to a place that is safe for them" I said as I shift my gaze to Eros.
"Where? Where did you bring them, I'll go to her" Eros asked showing me his curiousity.
"Well you don't have to know Eros, you can talk to her when she's already okay and once she's ready to talk to you" I said as give Eros a little sense of curiosity.
"They are at Granny's residence, Cass will obviously bring Lara and Misty there" Yvan said as he shift his gaze to me and for the third time he's getting into my freaking nerves. I rolled my eyes and raised my eye brows as I gaze at him with a freaking death glare.
He's really determined to annoy me huh.
"Yeah of course I know that, I'm just letting this mate over here think that she can annoy me but thanks anyway dude" Eros said and stormed out leaving us together.
I crossed my arms and looked at Yvan, more like stared at him with a death glare "Is reading my mind and annoying me became your new hobby Yvan? Because this new freaking hobby of yours is annoying me" I said annoyed but Yvan just shrugged, annoying me further.
"I didn't read your mind Cass and I don't do that, I never did that because I can't anyway its just that you're so easy to predict and its so easy to see through what's on your mind. Of course we know that your friends are in your granny's house because first that's the only place that you think is safe other than the mansion and second because she's your only family and your granny is the only person that you trust the most" Yvan said defending himself.
I rolled my eyes and looked at him, still wearing a serious expression "But let's be serious here Yvan, why didn't you freaking tell the Alpha that I'm the Queen when you saw me yesterday? You have all the rights and the time to tell him everything that you know and not to mention that you must have been so shocked because of what you saw and you might felt betrayed by me but you chose not to, why did you do that?" I asked Yvan as I look at him in very serious expression.
Yvan looked at me and then he chuckled as he lean his back to the chair's back support.
"I'm not really shocked when I followed you to Serafin's territory because I already knew your secret right before you became the Alpha's mate" Yvan said making my eyes grow big making me speechless and confused. What does he mean by that?
"Wait what? What do you mean? Yo-you knew? How and why didn't you say anything to me when you know everything. I mean what the hell is going on here?!?" I asked still confused because of what Yvan had said.
Yvan chuckled and looked at me like as if he's enjoying my freaking shocked reaction "Chill Cass okay, let's do it one by one. First, I chose not to tell the Alpha what I know because I respect your decision and I want you to tell the Alpha everything yourself. Its you and you alone who should be the one to tell him about your secrets and what you hide not me" Yvan explained and as I listen to his reasons, I can't help to smile because of the thought that he respect my being as a human.
He respects my decision and let's me fix it myself which is so different from the Rebellion Empire.
After listening to Yvan's words, I suddenly remembered when Rex chose to tell Serafin everything that he knows about my connection to the leader of the hunters, he chose to tell everything to Serafin more than believeing in me.
At that very moment, I saw the huge difference between the Rebellion Empire and the Hybrid Empire. The difference between Rex and Yvan's trust to me and the difference between the reaction of Serafin and Lucas when they learned about my secrets.
The two empires really are very different and that is one of the main factor why I am choosing to stand in the side of the Hybrid Empire and fight with them. Right there and then, I decided that I will no longer be neutral because I know that if I do, it will only hurt me and the people around me.
I thought that if I become neutral and be on both sides, I will not gain anything and instead of even gaining anything I will just hurt my family and what's worst is that the two empires will not be able to trust me because I'm being neutral that's why its about time that I choose an empire to stand with.
"And what about the next one? How did you know about my secrets and why the hell did you not tell me about what you know?" I asked as I stare at him.
"I knew about your secret when I started to investigate on you because of your lie back then" Yvan said making me confused and curious because of his words.
"My lie? What do you mean?" I asked.
Yvan sighed "When Serafin abducted you that night, the Alpha and the members of the Hybrid empire went to save you to try to get you back from Serafin. You obviously lied to me when you said that a childhood friend of yours helped you to escape that's why you managed to get out of Serafin's territory" Yvan explained as he locks his gaze to me.
I nodded after hearing his explanation "Is it so obvious when I lie that you even manage to know that I was lying that time?" I asked.
Yvan shook his head "So you really still do not recognize me do you?" He asked as I raise my eye brows.
"Recognize you? What do you mean? I mean why are you being so mysterious right now?" I asked showing him my confusion, Yvan chuckled and looked at me.
"Of course I knew that it was a lie because that childhood friend that you are referring to was me and no one in Luna Canidae knows that you had a childhood friend but me, so how the hell did that so called fake
childhood friend of yours knew that you are his friend when I am that friend that you are referring to" He said making my eyes grow big, bigger than earlier as I almost scream because of shock that Yvan caused me.
"You are what?!?" I said raising my voice as he laugh silently because of my reaction.
"See that Cass, you really do not recognize me are you. I am that friend, that childhood friend that you used to play with when you are just nine. It was me Cass and not some random rebel" Yvan said as he laugh enjoying my shocked reaction.
"Yo-you are--- you are" I murmured not being able to finish what I'm about to say because I still can not comprehend what Yvan had told me. It was him.
"Yes I am that little kid who you used to spank in the head and I am that little kid who you want to tease always because of my freaking runny nose Cass. You need to know that your childhood friend became a Delta. I became a Delta Cass, not just some mere random Rebel" Yvan said smirking as he explain to me that he is that kid that I used to play with.
He is that kid who I used to annoy and tease when I was a kid.
He chuckled as he enjoys my extremely shocked expression, it seems like he's enjoying my shock and its annoying me more and more.
"B-but how did you know that I was that kid that you used to play with before? How did you know that I am that kid and not some random girl?" I asked still showing him my confusion.
And of course again for the nth time, he chuckled "Your scent, it was your scent that lead me to you. You already know that every human has their own unique scent and that's the reason why. I knew your scent that's why I managed to recognize you" Yvan explained as he lessens my confusion.
Yvan stared at me and leaned backward as he cross his arms "Well its just a very big disappointment that you we're not able to recognize me" Yvan added as he smirks while staring at me.
