CHAPTER ONE
Celina
Do I find Pico, or do I stay here? If I go, do I take Alia, or leave her so she can keep learning? The questions piled up in Celina’s mind while she watched her daughter practice magic on the back porch. Her lonely heart hurt every time she thought of her mate, Pico. When she looked at her daughter Alia, she saw him. Those eyes haunted Celina every Wiccan day. Even though they were the same color as Celina’s, the shape was the same as Pico’s. Alia turned five a month back and it had been that long since she’d seen him. If Alia had started to shift then they would be a family but the wolf in their daughter was dormant. Pico stormed out of her house when she didn’t shift after birth.
“Mommy, look!” Alia’s squeal of delight brightened the darkness in Celina’s heart.
“That’s beautiful.” Celina looked at the flowers Alia had made bloom with her magic.
“Mommy, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing, sugar plum.” Celina leaned forward and kissed her head and then leaned back to look at the darkening sky. She had heard through a friend that Pico had moved back to California where he was born. If Celina drove it would be a long ass drive but plane tickets were pricey. She continued to weigh her options. Depression had been a creeping bitch to deal with while separated from him.
Celina stood and made dinner for her and her daughter and then helped Alia get ready for bed. Over the last few days, she had been debating the same questions over and over again. She needed Pico in her life but she also needed her daughter to learn magic so she would be able to protect herself. The world is a terrible place and a little girl needed every advantage.
“I love you, baby girl.” Celina kissed Alia as her eyes fluttered closed. She walked out to her living room to see Jina sitting on the couch.
“What are you doing here?” Celina cleared off the counter top and looked back at her sister.
“Someone had a vision of you and that mutt,” Jina spat out. Her news didn’t surprise Celina. Jina had a psychic as a friend. This had stopped her before but not this time.
“I’m not like you, Jina. I can’t just let go like you did with Dominic. I miss Pico, damn it.” Celina turned toward her sister. Her parents had threatened to shun Jina when she imprinted with Dominic, which had left her sister cold and hollow.
“Mother made me give up Luna even though she’s a witch just like Alia.” Jina shoved her hands through her hair. They didn’t talk about the cute little girl Jina gave up after birth to a coven a few states over. “At least you get to see her grow up.” Jina pointed toward Alia’s room.
“Like I said, I’m not you. I need my mate and daughter. I want my family whole.” Celina grabbed at her chest. The pain grew stronger every year without Pico.
Their parents died before Celina imprinted with Pico but Jina tried to do the same thing to her when it came to Alia. When she didn’t shift, Celina was able to convince the elders to let her stay in the coven.
“You’ve decided then. You’re going to ruin everything just to go find that mutt.” Jina’s eyes bulged a bit. She did this when she grew angry, even when they were kids. Celina loved her older sister but her love for her mate was stronger.
“How can you hate Pico so much when you imprinted with Dominic?” Celina pointed to her sister which only made Jina scoff.
“Hating him is easier than letting it eat me up like you do.” Jina stood and walked up to Celina. “You better not go.”
“What are you going to do? Chase me down and kick my ass?” Celina rose her eyebrow.
“If you take Alia she will end up a failed witch and it will be all your fault. No coven will accept you with him.” Jina tilted her head up and looked down at Celina over her nose.
“Don’t you think I haven’t thought of all this? I want Alia to have the best chance she can but I can’t keep doing this.” A lone tear fell down her cheek.
“I can’t listen to this.” Jina walked out of the house and slammed the door leaving Celina hollow. She needed to find Pico and figure out a way to make her family complete. Tomorrow she would tell her daughter. Soon their family will be whole and everything would somehow work out.
CHAPTER TWO
Celina
A low growl vibrated through Pico’s chest. His mother, once again, was trying to convince him to go get Celina and Alia back. Yet he knew the truth, Celina would rather have a witch for a daughter than a wolf. His little girl was powerful and he was proud of her but he also wanted to see her grow. Yet the damn witches didn't want a wolf near. Giving up a pack would be tough but he had been willing to do it when Celina found out she was pregnant.
“Mother, drop it. The witch elders would kill me if I tried to stay and Alia needs a damn coven to practice her magic.” Pico shoved a hand through his brown hair.
“Then find a coven willing to share both sides of that child. One day she will probably mate with a wolf too. She needs to know both sides of her family.” Kimberly pleaded with him while her mate, and Pico’s father, Ricky nodded in agreement.
“She made her choice, Mother. I'm just respecting her wishes.” Pico growled out the words. The sting was still fresh even if it had happened five years ago.
“You have been depressed over the last month, ever since her birthday.” Kimberly sighed heavily.
“I'm fine, Mother. I need to go see the alpha.” Pico kissed his mother’s head and shook his father’s hand before walking out of their house. Having no damn siblings made it tough, as his parents liked to fucking hover even after he moved out years ago.
He had been named the second in command a year ago when the alpha’s brother died in a car crash. Pico was strong and capable and this frustrated him to no end. He could provide for Celina and Alia and still have time to help the pack. Pico drove a few blocks and came up to Ian’s home.
“How was your parents’ house?” Ian chuckled when he met Pico’s gaze. He couldn't help the scowl on his face.
“I have something for you, if you’re up to it?”
“What do you need?” Pico leaned against the truck and studied his alpha. Ian’s short spiked hair stayed still even with the light breeze through the valley. His intimidating stature and wi
de body were thanks to the alpha magic. Ian kicked the front tire of Pico’s pickup and then relaxed against the front.
“I need you to check the northern border. I've heard reports they’ve been testing the limits.” Ian ground his teeth before shaking out his huge body.
“Yeah, I can do a quick run. Might help clear my mind of my mother's complaints.” Pico huffed out a deep breath.
“Thanks.” Ian patted him on the shoulder and moved back toward his house.
Ian and Pico grew up together and had made plans to see the world when they graduated high school but Ian had to stay behind when his father died making Ian the alpha. Pico had only made it to Ohio before he stopped because of Celina.
All he had wanted was to have Celina at his side with their little girl, Alia. Such beauty in a tiny little form. He missed them like crazy but he had to be strong for his pack. He sighed as he reached the border.
CHAPTER THREE
Pico
Saying goodbye was the hardest thing Celina had ever done, and this would be the first time she had been away from her daughter. Jina’s pissed off look still crept into her mind as she drove, speeding like crazy so she could get home faster.
“I'm going to find your father, sweetheart, and bring him back so we can be a family again.”
“Okay, Mommy. I love you.” Alia’s bright smile warmed Celina’s heart.
“I love you too, sugar plum.” Celina had kissed her hard before walking away from her little girl. The whole thing made her heart hurt. She was now alone in the world until she found her mate. If she had no luck in a week she would come back for Alia and search with her.
The plan was set and her determination kept her going. As she drove, her mind began to recall the day she’d met Pico.

“You must be a witch because your ass is bewitching me bad.” The male’s voice broke into Celina’s thoughts as she was walking back to her sister and friend. The bar was crowded for a Monday but that had a lot to do with the summer month of July. Everyone was trying to party as much as they could before the cold weather returned.
“That was awful.” Celina chuckled as she turned to the male trying to pick her up. He would have no clue she was a witch unless he was a wolf. Her breath stopped in her lungs as she took in his sharp features, stubble dusted jaw, and dark hair.
“It was. Sorry, I normally have a good wing man but he had to go back home.” He shrugged.
“Why wouldn't he come out on a night like this?” The spring air held a crisp side to it from all the rain in the last few days.
“He had responsibilities to take care of.” He pushed his fingers through his dark brown hair.
“I see. Well, wolf, are you going to touch me or keep staring like an idiot?” Celina rose an eyebrow.
“What's your name?” His eyes captured her attention, making her body tingle.
“Celina. Yours?” Celina wondered about what he looked like without clothes for a moment.
“Pico.” He slid off his chair and moved over, his body hovering an inch or two away from Celina. She wanted to touch him just to fuck with him but barely resisted. His eyebrow rose a bit, bringing attention to his brown eyes. “Are you sure you want to play that game?”
“What would happen if we imprinted?” Celina licked her lips, the wolf was sexy as hell and she wondered if all the rumors about wolves were true, like their long stamina and ripped abs.
Pico leaned in closer, yet still not touching her, so his hot breath tickled her ear when he spoke. “I would take you back to my hotel room and fuck you until morning.”
“And if we don’t imprint? Can I get the same treatment?” Celina knew she was on thin ice right now, playing with a werewolf, but she couldn’t help herself. Her body ached for him to touch her and something inside of her screamed to kiss him.
“If you’re up for it, then maybe I could help you with some of your naughty fantasies.” Pico’s voice rumbled into her ear, sending a shiver down her spine. Her core clenched in anticipation.
“Celina, are you coming?” Jina’s voice called out, breaking Celina from her focus on the sexy wolf in front of her.
“You go ahead. I think I’m going to stay a bit longer tonight.” Celina yelled back and Pico smiled, making her heart flutter in her chest.
“Call me or Cherish if you need anything.” Jina placed her hand on Celina’s arm. When Celina turned to nod and smile, she noticed Jina glaring at Pico.
“Will do. Drive safe.” Celina took in a sharp breath when her gaze returned to Pico. “So, what’s it going to be, wolf?”
His eyes sparkled with delight. Pico wrapped his hands around her waist and a small current rippled under her skin, making her jump in his grasp.
“Looks like I found my sexy little mate.” Pico’s words registered on some level before he kissed her. She lost all track of what it truly meant to be mated to a werewolf and she didn’t care right then. His lips were heaven on hers making her melt in places that had never happened before.
His strong hand wrapped around her ass making her moan against his mouth.
“Get a room,” someone yelled in the bar. Pico growled low as he pulled away. He grabbed her hand and they walked out of the crowded bar. Before she could ask where they were going, he turned the corner toward a hotel sitting a block away.
“Is that where you’re staying?” Celina pointed toward the nice hotel. His pace quickened as they crossed the street.
“Yep. I would prefer a cave but it will do.” Pico turned toward her.
“Wait, what? You’re joking, right?” Celina had heard of some wolves still living outside of normal society.
“Of course, I’m not one of those wolves. Some still stay in the woods but I think they have lost touch with reality.” Pico shook his head. They entered the clean lobby but she barely had a moment to look at it before he pulled her into the elevator. His finger jammed into the number four button before he moved back and kissed her again, pressing her against the wall.
Celina’s body hummed with excitement. The elevator dinged and she whimpered at the broken connection. He was getting her so worked up, her thighs hurt from the tension building. Pico winked and lead her to his room which was, thankfully, close to the elevator.
“Are you ready for this, little witch?” Pico closed the door and she moved over to the bed.
“I think I am.” She snapped her fingers, making all of her clothes vanish from her body and appear in a pile on the little table. Pico groaned while his eyes raked over her body. Heat coursed through her.
“Fucking beautiful.” Pico took off his shirt and tossed it to the side.
“Want some help?” Celina moved closer to him and snapped her fingers again. Her eyes were focused on his as she removed his clothes with magic. His cock sprang free, hitting her stomach. Celina looked down and was happy to find at least one rumor was true, his abs were gorgeous. Another rumor was also true, he was fucking huge.
“I don’t think I would ever get used to that.” Pico crushed his mouth onto hers and maneuvered her onto the bed. She wouldn’t admit it, but she liked how pushy he was. Most guys she had been with before had been scared of her, but not Pico.
“Once I start, I won’t stop, so you need to tell me if you’ve changed your mind.” Pico looked into her eyes as her legs bumped into the bed.
CHAPTER FOUR
Celina
Celina entered her hotel room and her mind moved back to that special night she met with Pico. She had the location of where her mate lived and in twenty-four hours she would be there. There was no plan in place for when she finally saw him but she was still determined all the same. She lay in the bed and closed her eyes as the memory of their first night came back to her.
***
“I’m not leaving.” Celina didn’t think about anything but having him inside her.
“Good.” Pico grabbed her hips and lifted her into his arms, her legs wrapped around his hips. He tilted her back onto the
bed and in one swift motion, filled her body with his thick cock.
Her body arched from the sudden rush of pleasure. She tried her best to focus on the man above her but as he picked a punishingly fast pace her orgasm couldn’t be pushed back. Waves of pleasure coursed under her flesh as she rode out her orgasm.
“Pico,” Celina gasped out his name as her bliss shattered her body.
“Beautiful.” Pico groaned. Celina’s body slammed back to earth and he picked up the pace again. Each thrust was pure exotic pleasure she’d never experienced before. She should be thinking about their possible future but she couldn’t keep a thought for more than a split second as pleasure coursed through her body.
Each thrust heightened her arousal. Within moments, she felt her next orgasm building. Not as fast as before but still strong. Pico leaned down and nipped at her shoulder and in seconds she reached her climax.
Pico groaned above her as he swelled slightly before releasing his own climax into her body. Another zap roamed under her skin making this orgasm last twice as long. Her whole body was spent from the experience except her pussy. It pulsed around his still swollen cock.
“Oh, damn.” Celina looked into his brown eyes and something inside of her clicked. Over the last few years, she had felt out of place in her little coven with her sister. Her parents had died a year before she slipped into the odd sensation of feeling misplaced. Now, was different and Celina wondered if it had to do with the bond they now shared.
“Do you think you can handle more, or do you need a break?” The cockiness in his voice gave her a renewed sense of energy. She shook her head from side to side with a smile on her lips.
“I think I can do one more round but I want to be on top.” She raised an eyebrow.
“I would love to see you riding me. I’ve been imagining that since I saw you in the bar.” He rolled over and grabbed her hips, bringing her with him. She adjusted her body to get used to the new position.
“Is the daydream better than the real thing?” Celina slowly lifted her body and then used her weight to bring her down. His groan, followed by his eyes fluttering closed, giving her the edge.
