Caught by the Belly Trap Page 4

by K A Belle

  “Not fast enough,” he grumbled.

I placed the tip of erection against Colby’s hole. “K-keep it up and I’ll think you don’t deserve m-my cock.”

Colby huffed and poked out his bottom lip. “Who else would deserve such a beautiful dick but your mate?”

We both moaned as the blunt head of my cock entered his body. I gritted my teeth until the large mushroomed head finally popped through.

Colby gripped the sheet and cried out, “Oh, fuck yes.”

I moved slowly, sinking into his tight channel inch by inch until my groin was flush against his ass. I paused and caught my breath. As much as I wanted to take and rut and thrust into Colby’s willing body, it would kill me if I hurt him in any way.

Colby wrapped his legs around my waist and flexed his hips. “Beau,” he wailed. “Please, move.”

I pulled back then slid back in carefully watching Colby for any sign of pain or distress. There was none. I picked up speed. I began thrusting into his body with deep, powerful strokes. I leaned over and pressed my hands on either side of his head bracing my forearms against his shoulders, caging him in.

“Fuck you feel so d-damned good.” I wanted to lose myself in him. The slick tight heat of his body wrapped around mine was so fucking perfect.

  “Take me, Beau.”

“Hold on, angel. This is g-going to be hard and quick. I s-swear I’ll make it up to you.”

  “I’ll hold you to it.”

Colby wrapped his arms around my neck and tightened his legs at my waist. I pounded into him. The only thing stopping me from pushing him up the bed was my arms. The headboard banged against the wall. Colby writhed and whimpered beneath me.

“I need you to come, angel. You are g-gripping my cock so beautifully. I can’t h-hold back much longer.”

Colby wrapped a hand around his dick and began jacking himself off. The sight of it was so erotic. The base of my spine tingle. I felt my orgasm building.

“I need to bite you, Beau.” My eyes widened at the sight of Colby’s sharp, elongated canines. “We need to claim you, while you claim us.”

“Do it,” I growled. I didn’t care if it hurt like hell. Something deep inside me needed to feel him pierce my flesh.

Colby lunged forward and sunk his teeth into my neck at the base near the crook of my shoulder. Colby’s muscles clamped down on my cock as he came. Spurts of pearly seed shot from his dick filling the space between us. His sweet scent filled the air. My balls drew up. The euphoric pain set off my orgasm. With a roar I swear probably shook the windows, I thrust one last time and flooded his channel with my cum.

Colby flopped back. His eyes were closed, and he wore a small, sweet smile. He looked completely blissed out. It was hard to describe how I felt. It was as if everything inside me aligned. I no longer felt broken. The loneliness and anger were gone. I was whole.

Overwhelmed, I buried my face in his neck and took a few deep breaths.

Colby ran his hands up and down my back in comforting caresses. “We’re one now.”

  “I f-feel it. It’s amazing.”

I rolled off him to my back. Colby snuggled in my arms. He laid his head on my chest. I felt so content. I could stay in this bed forever with my mate. My stomach had other ideas.

Colby laughed. “Sounds like someone is hungry.”

  “All that strenuous a-activity.”

“In your defense, we haven’t eaten breakfast yet.” He looked up at me and grinned. I couldn't resist kissing his sweet lips. “We should probably get up. Maybe shower and fix something to eat.”

“Eh. Food is o-overrated.” I chuckled, enjoying our post-coital banter.

“Yes, but sticky lube and dried cum is itchy and uncomfortable.”

“I’ll m-make you a deal.” I rolled to my side. I brushed the silky hair from his forehead. I couldn’t help but smile. I was so blessed. Colby was strong and fierce, yet gentle and loving. He was everything I never knew I should dream of having. I vowed to never take my mate for granted.

  “The deal?”

“Right. S-sorry. We’ll wash up and f-fix ourselves a nice brunch. Then eat it while snuggled up in b-bed.”

  “Sounds perfect.”

Yes, it was. My life was pretty damned perfect. I was still scarred. My stutter, memory problems, nor blindness were magically cured. I’d always have certain physical issues. But, with Colby by my side, I now looked forward to the future rather than dreading it.

  One Year Later…

The doorbell rang again. I placed a hand on Colby’s thigh. “I’ll get it, angel. F-finish your ice cream.”

“You are going to shock the shit out of the neighbors. They expect me to hand out candy and you to grumble about it. Everyone knows you’re the growly bear in this relationship.”

“Don’t a-act like you don’t like it.” I wagged my eyebrows then kissed his cheek. “I’m m-mixing things up. Have to keep the town folk on their toes.”

“Have I told you how much I love you today?”

“S-several times. Feel free to tell m-me again.”

Whoever was at the door rang the bell again then knocked. “I better get that before some hoodlum de-de-decides to egg our house.”

“Hey, Mr. Beau. Trick or treat.” Charlie, Betty’s boy greeted me after I opened the door. “Guess who I am.”

The little boy was dressed all in black, wearing a patch over his left eye, and a black utility belt. There was a toy gun in his thigh holster. “I g-give up, who are you?”

“Nick Fury. I decided to be him in case you wanted to be Thor again. I kinda got mad earlier. I couldn’t get my eye to look like yours. That’s why I’m wearing the patch. Nick Fury wears one of those over his eye, so it’s okay. Mommy told me that you’re really are blind in your eye. That’s why it looks like that and not because it’s makeup. She said you were a soldier and got hurt and had to leave the army. Soldiers are heroes. Did you know?” As usual Charlie didn’t let me get a word in. For some reason, since meeting in the grocery store last Halloween, the kid decided to befriend me. Whenever we crossed paths, Charlie made a point to talk to me. “When you got hurt, you turned into a superhero like Thor. That’s really cool. It would be even better if you got superpowers after you lost your eye. Did you?”

Charlie looked awfully excited about the prospect. I hated to burst the kid’s bubble, but I didn’t need him adding height to the pedestal he obviously had me on.

I glanced back at Colby. His eyes met mine, and we shared a smile. Well, I did have certain superpowers, I suppose. I was pretty sure Betty wouldn’t want me sharing those with her six-year-old son. I licked my lips. Colby blushed knowing exactly where my mind had wandered. I mouthed, “later”. I winked at him then turned back to Charlie. “S-sorry, kid. I don’t have any powers, but I do h-have something I bet a lot of the other pee-people around the block don’t.”

  “What?”

  “F-full size candy bars.”

I held out the bowl for Charlie to pick the one he wanted. His eyes went wide as saucers. “Wow.” He reached into the bowl, paused, and looked up. “How many can I have?”

“Charlie. Manners,” Betty hissed. “Take one. Only one.”

Charlie huffed. “Mo-oomm. I’m being polite and asking like you said. Right, Mr. Beau.”

“Right, Charlie.” I glanced at Betty and chuckled when she rolled her eyes. “You c-can have two since you were so polite.”

  “Yay!”

Charlie grabbed two bars and shoved them into his bag. “Thank you, Mr. Beau.”

  “You’re w-welcome, kid.”

Charlie leaned around me and peered into the house. He smiled when he saw Colby. “Hey, Mr. Colby. Thank you for the candy bars.”

  “You’re welcome, Charlie.”

Betty placed her hand on Charlie’s head. “We need to go. Thank you, Beau.”

  I nodded at Bet
ty. “You have a g-good night. Be safe.”

She took Charlie’s hand I waited until they were on the sidewalk before shutting the door and rejoining my mate.

I set my empty bowl on the side table. Beau retook his spot next to me on the sofa. I laid my head on his shoulder. “Charlie is a sweet kid.”

“Yeah, he is.” Beau kissed the top of my head. “I heard c-commotion at the neighbor’s house a few doors down. We s-should have more kids at the door soon.”

“You want me to get the next ones?”

  “Nah. I’m g-good. I’m actually having f-fun.”

I smiled. It was amazing how far my mate had come in the past year. Oh, Beau still had his moments where he wanted to hide away from the world. That was fine. I was a writer and a cat shifter. Both facets of my personality enjoyed solitude. So, it wasn’t a hardship to indulge Beau’s reclusive ways when he needed a break from peopling.

After Beau and I became an official mated couple, I’d decided against accepting the network’s offer to turn my graphic novel series into a television show. It was too disruptive a commitment. It would have meant a ton of travel. Beau felt guilty and responsible thinking he was the reason. Our relationship was why I turned the project down, but not for the reasons he thought. We, Cat and I, wanted to spend as much time with Beau as possible. We didn’t need fame or fortune to make us happy. We only needed our mate.

I published another book a few months ago. It became another best seller. I’d attended a few signings at small bookstores in the area. Beau went with me but stayed in the background.

Beau still tempted fate with the belly trap, because he loved to antagonize my alter-ego. It wasn’t like we could accidentally claim him again. He thought Cat’s bunny kicks were adorable. My mate was pretty fucking adorable himself. I wouldn’t change a thing about him or my life.

Cat and I had everything we ever dreamed of and more. We’d gone from a lonely shifter to cherished mate. We finally had someone to share all of life’s highs and lows with. We were loved beyond measure. In other words, our life was―

  “Purr-fect,” Cat finished my thought.

  “Seriously?”

“It was a purr-fectly timed pun. See what I did there, again? Don’t act like I don’t amuse you.”

I rolled my eyes. I shouldn’t encourage the furry bastard, but he wasn’t wrong. Our life was perfect, and we couldn’t wait to spend the rest of it with Beau Madigan.
