The ceremony ended with the priestess saying, “May you create a home that surrounds your family and friends with warmth, laughter and love. Pili olua e, moku ka pawa o ke ao—you two are now one, the darkness is past.”
Kashena looked over at Sierra, hoping that was true for them too, squeezing her hand gently. She loved the woman beyond all reason, so she knew she’d fight for her, no matter what, but she did indeed hope that the darkness had passed.
