For a second there I started wondering if that was a sign of a gap in the wool that was her reality over her eyes, though I was quick to quash it as we started to pick up speed and I had to go to great lengths not to fall over.
It was exhilarating.
“Guys,” Cassie said as we all grabbed ahold of the table while Jesse went on vomiting, “this is going to be fun.”
She was right, of course.
I mean, the only time a pirate ship isn’t fun is when it’s in a historical context, and even then…
But seriously, I had absolutely no idea about what lay in waiting for me and my friends to discover as we hurtled away from the island.
What did Seastrider want me to do?
What were the cities going to be like?
Was Jesse ever going to stop puking?
Those were just some of the questions that were rattling away in my head as I got ready for the next big part of my adventure.
Get ready, this is where the real fun begins.
