The Thing About Us: A MMF Bisexual Romance Page 15

by Jennifer Domenico

I look at the clock. It’s only four in the morning in LA. I’ll have to wait until later to call him and find out what happened with Ben. I just wish there was some way for this to work out that keeps us together. All three of us.

Two hours later, I step off the elevator into the lobby of our Atlanta office.

  “Morning, Cara.”

The receptionist smiles. “Morning, Georgie. How’s your day so far?”

“Good. It’s hot out there though.”

  “Always is in August.”

  “Same training room as always?”

“Yes. Your new trainers will be in at nine.”

  “Perfect.”

  “There’s coffee too.”

  “Even better. Thanks.”

  “No problem. Welcome back.”

I smile and head down the hall to the training department, saying hi to familiar faces on the way. No one looking at me right now in my conservative blue shift dress and nude heels, styled bun, and demure makeup would believe what I get up to with my boys.

At my desk, I start unpacking my computer and getting set up when my phone rings. I frown, considering if I should just decline it, but he’s persistent. He’ll call twenty times until he talks to me.

  “Hello?”

  “Hi, kiddo.”

I purse my lips. “I’ve asked you not to call me that.”

“Sorry, but you’ll always be my kid. How are you?”

“Fine. I’m at work though. Can I call you later?”

“Real quick. I was planning to come out to LA soon. I’d love to see you and your brother for brunch or something.”

  I exhale. “Just you?”

“Well no. I have someone special I want you to meet.”

“If it’s a woman, I’m not doing it. Not this time, dad. The last one the marriage ended before I even knew her name.”

  “This one is different.”

I roll my eyes. “Do you know how many times I’ve heard you say that?”

  “Georgette, please—”

  “Georgie.”

He sighs. “Georgie. Would you give me another chance? I know I have a rough history with relationships, but I really do mean this time it’s different. We’ve been dating for two years already.”

  “Two years?”

“And I haven’t said a word. I’m learning in my old age.”

  “What’s her name?”

“Maryanne. She’s the same age as me.”

  “You’ve been faithful?”

“Completely. She knows my past and we’ve talked a lot about why I did the things I did.” I’m silent, considering if I’m going to buy what he’s selling. “I’d like to tell you about it. You and Paul. What do you say?”

“I’m getting tired of it, dad. If I say yes, and you fuck this one up again, that’s it. I’m done. I swear.”

“And I would deserve that, but I swear to you, I’ve done the work to finally get my shit together.”

  “Alright. Let me know when.”

“Thanks, Georgie. I’ll call back when I confirm the dates. I love you.”

It’s always hard to hear those words from someone who has caused so much pain. “Okay. We’ll talk soon.”

I hang up and slump in my chair. Lunch with my dad and his wife du jour. I hope he’s telling the truth. I hope after over sixty years on this planet, he’s figured out how to love one person, but mostly how to keep his dick in his pants. I look up when my first trainer enters the room, thankful for the distraction my work has always been.

Hours later, sitting at my desk, eating a quick salad before the next training session, I jump slightly when my phone beeps. I look down to see a text from Luc. When I open it, it’s a video. I click play, and a slow smile spreads on my lips as I watch the boys making out hot and heavy in their gorgeous suits. I shake my head. I can’t wait to get back.

I put the phone down and return to work, but a couple minutes later, my phone beeps again. I open the text and when I hit play, my mouth falls open. Holy fucking shit. Ben is sucking Luc’s dick like his life depends on it. Wow. I can’t tear my eyes away. I watch it a second time giving in to the intense throbbing between my legs. When my fingers slip inside my panties, they’re immediately soaked. I hit replay, watching one more time, and when Luc comes, filling Ben’s mouth so much it overflows, I arch my back as my own orgasm hits. I pull my hand out, surprised by how much I released. I grab a tissue and wipe my hand with a huge smile on my face. My boys.

  Chapter 26 Luc

Sat at my desk reading sales reports, I’m interrupted when my phone rings. I smile. “Georgie, darling. How are you, love?”

“Fantastic. Just got myself off to a hot video of Ben sucking your dick.”

My eyes open wide. “Oh fuck. I sent the wrong one.”

She laughs. “There was more than one?”

“I made a kissing one per your request.”

“Oh, I got that one first. Very hot. Absolute fire. Then two minutes later the next one came in. Five minutes after that, I came.”

“Uh, yeah, so I guess you know what we got up to last night.”

  “Did you fuck?”

  “Indeed.”

“And? How was it without me?”

  “Nice.”

“Nice? Come on, Luc. I won’t get jealous. Did you like it?”

“Yeah. Very much. Georgie, Ben told me he loves me.”

  “What?”

“He said he’s managed to fall in love, but he knows I belong with you. We talked it through, and I told him what we hoped would happen between us all. He was very open to it, and that’s when he admitted his feelings.”

“I already knew that, babe. That night I was with him, I knew he was struggling with his feelings for you. I’m so proud of him for being able to tell you.”

  “So am I.”

  “Did you take it okay?”

“I’m flattered. Honored. Obviously, our bond is unique.”

“Yeah. So then you fucked his brains out?”

  I chuckle. “Basically, yes.”

“Did he fuck you back? You can tell me.”

“No, but he used a finger on me.”

“Mmm, oh my god, you boys. I demand an instant replay when we’re together again.”

  “When will that be?”

  “Thursday. Will you come over?”

  “Of course. Just me?”

She pauses. “We can do that. Friday we’ll have our Ben over.”

“Saturday he’s going out with Kate again.”

  “Oh? The plot thickens.”

“It does. We’ll talk more when you get home.”

“Sounds good. Have a good day, English.”

  “You too, love.”

  “Luc?”

  “Yes?”

“I really like that you call me that. I don’t care if you say it to other women or if it doesn’t really mean anything in England. For me, it’s really nice. It’s like a prelude to the real thing.”

I squeeze my eyes shut. When I tell her it has to be in person. “I don’t say it to anyone else. It’s reserved only for those I feel especially close to.”

  “Thank you. See you Thursday.”

  “You will.”

I return to my work with a huge smile on my face.

  “Hey.”

I look up to see Ben. “Hey yourself.”

  “Lunch? I’m starving.”

I push my laptop away. “Yeah, let’s go.”

  “Sushi?”

  “Perfect.”

We walk down the hall just as Kate meets us by the lift. She smiles, but her cheeks turn bright red.

  “Hi, guys.”

I nod. “Kate. Good to see again.”

“You too, Luc.” Her smile softens. “Ben.”

  “Where you going?” Ben asks.

  “Lunch.”

  “Alone?”

  “Yeah.”

Ben looks over his shoulder at me
and I nod. “Why don’t you come with us?”

Her eyes open wide. “Oh, I don’t want to intrude.”

Ben grins, reaching for her hand and swinging it between them. He gets that twinkle in his eyes, and I’m certain Kate’s knickers are disintegrating. “You’re not intruding. You’re invited. We’re grabbing sushi. Please come.”

Her eyes shift to me, and I offer a smile. “The more the merrier.”

  “Okay then. Great.”

  “Great,” Ben says.

Once the lift doors open and we step on alone, Ben leans in and kisses her cheek. “I told Luc what a great time we had the other night.”

She looks slightly uncomfortable. “Did you tell him everything?”

I grab Ben’s shoulders, squeezing gently, as I wink at Kate. “Ben and I are extremely close. There isn’t anything we haven’t shared.”

Ben chuckles softly. “Very true. We have no secrets between us.” He pulls Kate close. “But don’t worry. It was a flattering review.”

She laughs, shaking her head. “I’m dead.”

“Don’t be embarrassed, darling.” She shifts her eyes to me. “Nothing wrong with having a good time.”

The doors open and we step outside to take the short walk to the restaurant. Kate glances at me. “Do you have a girlfriend, Luc?”

Ben looks at me as I decide how to answer the question. “I’m working on making the conversion.”

She laughs softly. “You’re so formal.”

“What he means to say,” Ben starts, “Is he definitely has a girlfriend.”

  “What’s her name?”

  “Georgie.”

“Aw, that’s cute. Is she pretty? I bet she’s gorgeous.”

“She is,” Ben says. “Perfect for Luc in every way.”

“You spend time with her too?”

“A few times.” I have to bite my lip to stifle my laughter. This is rich. “And don’t be fooled by Luc’s proper use of English. He’s not so formal.”

  “Once I’m comfortable with someone.”

  “You guys seem fun.”

“We are, darling. Trust me on that.”

Kate cocks her head at me, before shifting her eyes to Ben. “It’s interesting to be on the inside now.”

  “The inside?” Ben questions.

“You two are like the rock stars of the company. Everyone knows your names. You walk down the halls and every head follows you. The men want to be you. The women want to be with you.” She laughs. “Hell, probably some of the men want that too.”

  Ben and I exchange glances.

“At more than one happy hour, your names come up. All the women wonder what you’re like when no one’s watching. I’m getting a peek into the famous bromance.”

Ben wraps his arm around her waist. “You haven’t even scratched the surface.”

She shrugs. “But it’s closer than most get. I feel like I won the lotto or something.”

  “I’m the lucky one, Kate.”

Ah, there’s the charm I was waiting for. Ben opens the door and as Kate passes him, I lean in close.

  “Well played, mate.”

  “Learned from the best.”

We’re led to a booth, so I make sure Ben is sitting next to Kate, and then I sit on the other side of him. Gazing at the menu, I laugh softly.

  “What’s funny?” Kate asks.

“I get the same thing every time. I have no idea why I bother looking at this thing.”

Ben nudges my arm. “Creature of habit.”

“Not always. I’ve been known to explore new things.”

Ben grins, then turns to Kate. “Saki?”

Her eyes open wide. “At lunch time?”

“Oh right. We’re at lunch. Felt like a date.”

  “With all three of us?”

“Maybe happy hour would be a better example.”

Kate nods, studying both our faces. “What a dream that would be.”

I nearly spit my water whilst Ben just looks at me with wide eyes. “Uh, Kate…”

She laughs, poking him in the side. “Gotcha!”

We both laugh, but I for one, am intensely intrigued to know more about Kate. Perhaps, she’s more perfect for Ben than either of us know. We order lunch, and I lean forward to start on the edamame.

“I’ve been fucking starved all day.”

“You didn’t have breakfast?” Kate asks.

I shake my head. “Just espresso. Ben had a nice hearty breakfast though. Full of protein.”

With a completely straight face, he nods. “You should try it, Luc. It’s carried me through to lunch.”

  “Perhaps I should.”

Kate has a curious expression on her face as she leans closer to Ben. “What did you have for breakfast?”

  “Protein shake.”

I can’t hold it back any longer and simply burst into laughter. Ben joins me as Kate narrows her eyes.

“I knew it. It’s an inside joke, isn’t it?”

Still laughing, I pop a bean in my mouth. “Very inside.”

“Well, that’s not fair to keep it from me.” She squeezes Ben’s arm. “Come on, Ben. You can trust me. I won’t tell.”

Ben searches her eyes as his smile fades. I watch as he gently pinches her chin and leans in for the kiss. Her hand moves to his chest, gripping at his dress shirt, her passion simmering just under the surface. Watching Ben kiss her produces a mixed reaction in me. Part of me is simply chuffed for him that he’s hitting it off with her. There’s very clearly an attraction. I exhale quietly. But shockingly, the other part of me wants to tear her away and own his mouth for myself. I look away focusing on my green tea. They finish, and the kiss did its job, redirecting Kate’s attention. Her face is flushed as she tucks a lock of hair behind her ear.

“Um, I need to freshen up. Be right back.”

She leaves and Ben turns to me. “You’re naughty, Luc.”

“This we know. It’s all in fun.”

“Of course.” He gazes down for a moment before meeting my eyes again. “It’s insane, isn’t it?”

  “What?”

“The pull between us. How much I wanted you to join.” He puts his hand between my legs. “How much I always want you. I was so fucking close to telling her, but…”

“You need to get to know her more before that happens. We work with her.”

“I know. I won’t. I would never expose you like that.”

  I nod. “I know.”

“Did you feel anything watching us kiss?” I start to speak, but he raises his hand. “If you could just lie to me and tell me you were jealous and wanted me for yourself, that would be great.”

  “It’s not a lie, Ben.”

  “Really?”

“Kate isn’t Georgie. I knew I couldn’t join. I couldn’t be part of it, and it was bloody hell actually.”

  “Thank you for that.”

I laugh. “You’re thanking me for being a jealous wanker?” I nod. “Glad I could help, mate.”

Ben laughs too, moving his hand. “I’m in the jealous wanker club too.” He glances out at the restaurant. “She is pretty though, yeah?”

“Beautiful.” I glance to make sure she’s not coming. “How are the tits?”

“A little small, but the nips are big.”

“Mm, big nips are good. Not pierced like our girl?”

“Your girl, and no, not pierced, but hell, you never know.”

“What is it about a tiny silver piece of metal stabbed through a woman’s nipple that is so bloody fantastic?”

  Ben shrugs. “Who cares?”

  I laugh. “Fair.”

We both look up as Kate comes back with fresh lipstick. She slides into the seat next to Ben just as the server arrives with our meals. We all tuck in and eat for a few minutes without speaking. I watch as Kate feeds Ben a bite of her sushi roll and he gives her some noodles from his dish. A moment later, her eyes meet mine.

“Would you like a bite, Luc?”

&
nbsp; I shake my head. “No, thank you.”

“No, you should,” Ben says. “It’s amazing.”

“Very well then.” I lean across Ben to Kate who lifts her chopsticks with a piece of sushi and slides it into my mouth. I chew, nodding appreciatively. “So good.”

“Right?” She smiles. “Hope you don’t mind sharing chopsticks with me.”

“Not at all, Kate. Would you like a bite of mine?”

“Sure.” I lift a piece of spicy tuna to her lips, and as she eats it, her eyes meet Ben’s. “Mm. Delicious.”

“Would you like some of mine, Ben?”

His eyes shift to mine. “I would.”

I feed him a piece of sushi, holding his gaze just a moment too long. Kate watches the interaction with a smile pulling at her lips. Fortunately, none of us address the obvious flirtation happening. When the check is dropped off, Ben and I fight over it, until Kate snatches it and hands her card to the server.

“A woman should never pay for a lunch she was invited to.”

“Oh, Luc, that’s so cute and old fashioned.”

“He’s right,” Ben says. “Now we owe you lunch again.”

“I’d join you boys anytime. It was fun.” She drinks some water. “Maybe we could go on a double date. I’d love to meet your Georgie.”

I look to Ben for guidance. “That might be something we can do.”

He looks at me. “Run it by Georgie.”

  “I’ll do that.”

We exit the restaurant and walk back to the office. Ben swings Kate’s hand in his, making her laugh. They are rather cute together. I wonder if she could understand…

Once we say goodbye to Kate, Ben and I return to my office. I immediately shut and lock the door behind us. Ben crinkles his brow, but before he can say anything, I wrap my arm around his waist and pull him into me, kissing him hard. He returns my passion, dragging his hands up my back and into my hair. Leaning against the door, I reach into his trousers and rub his cock. I’ve no idea what’s come over me, but I need him.
