Running From Forever Page 23

by K. Aten

Keller could see how close Sarah was to the edge and smiled. She slowly climbed back onto the bed between Sarah’s legs. She could see the singer’s chest rise and fall faster as she parted the long limbs. Keller leaned down until her face was mere centimeters from the dark trimmed curls. They were shiny with wetness and she blew across the hot skin simply for the reaction she’d get. Then Keller looked into hooded green eyes and gave her lover a knowing smile. “What I owe you—is your fortune. You will be devoured—” She lowered her head that last little bit and completely dropped her walls as Sarah did the same. Both women cried out at the first touch of her tongue, as a sensual cacophony bounced back and forth between them. Sarah was writhing on the bed by the time Keller entered her with three fingers. The singer’s nearly instantaneous orgasm was as swift as it was unexpected.

Sarah threw an arm over her eyes as she tried to catch her breath. “Oh God, that was almost embarrassing.”

Keller laughed and removed her fingers, eliciting a little whimper from her lover. “It was kind of fast, wasn’t it?” She smiled up at her girlfriend and tried to ignore the throbbing between her own legs.

Sarah looked down at her wearing the sexiest smile. “Come here.”

Unable to resist even the smallest command when her lover wore that smile, Keller complied with the request. She also couldn’t resist a little more teasing. “So yeah, that came out of nowhere, didn’t it? You kind of went from zero to sixty in no time flat.”

Sarah rolled over and kissed her into silence. Pulling back, she snapped her teeth together in front of Keller’s face. “Be quiet you! It’s your own fault, getting all aggressive with me like that. It’s incredibly hot you know.”

The centuries old vampire raised an eyebrow at her. “Oh really? I don’t really see the draw of it myself. And you were the one who challenged me, remember?

Sarah looked at her with mischief. She smiled and flashed very sharp teeth at the other woman. “You don’t see the draw of it, huh? You don’t understand how being dominated can be that big of a turn on, how the danger of it could make you so wet—” Sarah watched as Keller’s pupils dilated slightly and lowered a hand to the other woman’s wet curls. The smaller woman gasped when Sarah ran slick fingers over that hard bundle of nerves. She leaned in to kiss her but pulled back at the last possible second. “Perhaps it’s time you learned.” Sarah had been practicing and not always when Keller was around. While she could never match the other woman for physical strength, she had been working on her mental one. She quickly removed her fingers and clouded Keller’s mind. The pleasure Sarah pumped through her had the other woman gasping and her chest heaving. While Keller was unaware, Sarah quickly buckled the straps in place for the toy she retrieved from their drawer. After sending another wave of raw lust into Keller, Sarah rolled her lover onto her stomach and pinned her spread eagle to the bed. She knew as soon as the smaller woman began swimming up to normal consciousness again because Keller immediately stiffened in surprise.

Keller had no idea that Sarah was capable of that much control! She shouldn’t be able to completely cloud someone of Keller’s age and ability. She tried to turn herself over but Sarah fully covered her with that long lean body. “What the hell? How did you—” Her words died in her mouth when Sarah rubbed against her and she felt the hard length sliding against her ass.

Sarah released one of her arms just long enough to line up the tip where Keller most wanted it, and then held her down again. Lowering her mouth to the side of Keller’s neck, Sarah traced the pale expanse with her tongue. The feel of the toy pressed so close to her hot center of need left Keller frustrated. She trembled when Sarah whispered in her ear. “This is what it’s like to be dominated—” Keller cried out in pleasure when Sarah entered her with the toy at the same time she bit into that throbbing pulse at her neck. Her strokes weren’t slow, they were fast and deep as she swallowed everything her lover had to offer.

Keller clawed at the bed as she fast approached the point of no return. She closed her eyes as flashes of light and color washed over her vision. Both women were lost in the simultaneous feeling of entering and being entered. Keller began to shake as her body lost control. Her voice grew rough from a litany of words that ran together until they had no meaning. “FuckmeSarahOhGodFuck—” When the cliff was right in front of them, they jumped over together. Perhaps one pushed the other or one was pulled. It was hard to say when the bond was as strong as theirs. Their orgasm washed over them like a tidal wave and the peak of its pleasure left them sweat-soaked, blind, and shaken to the core. Sarah barely managed to pull out and collapse to the side of her lover when the last of her strength left her. Both continued to twitch and shake even as the sweat cooled on their bodies and Sarah was barely able to release the clasps on the harness. Keller spoke first in a voice that was hoarse from too much use. “Shit.” The one word summed it up completely. When she managed to turn her head to the side, she met the knowing smirk of her lover.

Sarah’s eyes crinkled with delighted satisfaction. “Was I right?”

Keller sighed and laughed. “You were right.” When their laughter calmed and breathing slowed, they simply stared into each other’s eyes like they’d been doing it their entire life. There was no past and no future, just the comfort of now. Keller was aware of a building pressure in the bond between them. When she lowered her shield again, she was cast adrift by the force of Sarah’s love. It was unexpected and she wanted to know why. “What are you thinking about?”

  Her answer was simple. “Forever.”

Keller’s brows shot up in confusion. “What about forever?”

Sarah traced Keller’s full lips and then ran gentle fingers over the pale brows that delicately sloped over incredible blue eyes. “It’s not about forever. That’s what I mean, there’s no hurry.”

Keller smiled into the other woman’s caress and her words reverted to that familiar accent. “Lassie, yer na’ makin’ any sense. Speak plain ta me.”

Sarah moved closer until there wasn’t a bit of space between them then left a soft kiss on the other woman’s lips. “Hush, Noble Keller, I’m making perfect sense. You’re not listening.” She kissed her again and sent another wave of emotion down that connection to her lover. She pulled back and smiled at her. “Marry me.”

Keller’s mouth opened but no words came out. When she finally found a voice, it was nothing more than a whisper. “What?”

“You heard me. So what’s your answer? Keep in mind, I’m bossy and I don’t like to be disappointed…” Her voice trailed off.

A broad smile grew over Keller’s face, and she laughed at the joy of it. “Of course I will, you crazy, crazy, woman! When, where, how?”

Sarah smirked at her. “I believe I already answered that.”

Keller looked at her lover in puzzlement and thought back of the last few minutes of confusing conversation. Suddenly the answer dawned. “There’s no rush, we have all the time in the world. More than enough time to work out the details.”

Sarah responded. “Plenty of time to practice for the party.”

“To recite our personal vows.” Keller laughed at their lighthearted banter, and then she stepped into a serious shadow. “That’s a long time for you to commit.”

Sarah looked placidly back at her and the world around them was lost. Sarah then bared the truth to Keller, and perhaps even for the first time to herself. “You fill places inside me that I never knew existed. Forever is not nearly enough.”

Keller leaned in for a kiss. “It will have to do.”

No more words were needed to describe a future that had been written since the stars were new in the sky. Their love, like so many others, was eternal.

  About the Author

Born and raised in Michigan, Kelly is a latecomer to the writing scene. She works in the automotive industry coding in Visual basic and Excel. Her avid reading and writing provide a nice balance to the daily order of data, allowing
her to juggle passion and responsibility. Her writing style is as varied as her reading taste and it shows as she tackles each new genre with glee. But beneath it all, no matter the subject or setting, Kelly carries a core belief that good should triumph. She's not afraid of pain or adversity, but loves a happy ending. She's been pouring words into novels since 2015 and probably won’t run out of things to say any time soon.
