The Inheritance Page 8

by D Michele Robbearts

Ava concentrated and closed her eyes. She took a steadying breath and released it. She looked at the door and pointed with her finger and thought of air… of a small wind... then she said "Close’’. To her surprise she felt a small breeze surround her... then the breeze pushed the door closed. Ava smiled…she was a witch. Her life was going to be so different now. Her eyes felt heavy with sleep her last thought she had before drifting off to sleep was, that she was glad she had not inherited money after all. Magic was a way cooler thing to inherit. It was scary but cool! The fate of the world would one day be in her hands… and for everyone’s sake let us hope she can master the Craft and stays in the light. That is another story though.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

  D. Michele Robbearts started writing in high school. She grew up in a military family, always moving and changing schools made her want something permanent. She finally got that, in a small town in Georgia and found the love of all things southern. She made lifelong friends there, inspiring her to write her first story. When she isn't writing you can find her tending her garden or at the gym. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her huge, crazy extended family. Currently she lives in Central Texas, with her family and fur babies.
