‘Okay, show me,’ Robert’s voice says.

Angelique puts her hands on her eyes – the veil still covering her face – as she walks to the cell – Tyler is still holding the latch – and says to Robert, ‘Hello, Robert.’

  ‘Hi,’ Robert’s voice says.

‘Do you remember me?’ asks Angelique.

  ‘Yes,’ Robert’s voice replies.

‘It’s Angelique. Remember you shouted at me and wanted me to have a drink with you so I ignored you because I was busy at the Duke of York Hotel?’ says Angelique.

  ‘Yes,’ Robert’s voice replies.

‘And do you remember me walking to my house, and you followed me, threatening me and stalking me and maybe you were going to take me hostage because you had a pocketknife in your hand?’ asks Angelique.

  ‘Yes,’ Robert’s voice replies.

‘And do you remember after I kicked your balls very hard, you collapsed lying down on the footpath, I left you and walked back to my house, never wanting to see you again forever. I called the cops. Why did you go before the police came?’ says Angelique.

‘Because I wanted to disappear from the footpath before the coppers got me again. That’s when I was hiding somewhere in St Kilda and started being the mysterious person,’ Robert’s voice replies.

‘Are you going to say sorry to me for threatening me?’ asks Angelique.

  ‘Sorry,’ Robert’s voice replies.

‘That’s okay,’ says Angelique. ‘I’ll see you in court.’

Tyler shuts the latch of the police cell door and asks Angelique, ‘Well, what do you think, Angelique?’

Angelique removes her hands from her eyes, the veil from her face, and says, ‘It’s all right, but it’s scary.’

‘Well, let’s get out of here and wait for Peter, all right?’ says Tyler.

‘Right!’ says Angelique so she and Tyler walk from the police cells, but they feel frightened and scared of Robert.

Still at the police station, Professor Jerry Bowie opens the door as he enters Inspector Mack Young’s office, and then shuts the door as he walks to Mack, and says to him, ‘Here’s the results about the arsenal of weapons, etcetera, and I think this arsenal belongs to Robert Taylor. I think this is a quick result.’

‘All right, give it to me,’ says Mack.

Professor Bowie gives the results to Mack so Mack starts reading the first page of the results of the arsenal of weapons. He’s turns the pages to read the other results.

A minute later after Mack finishes reading the results, he puts them on his desk and says to Professor Bowie, ‘Well, Professor. The results are good, very good.’

‘See, I told you,’ says Professor Bowie. ‘All the weapons, a tiny bit of material, and a collection of videos and DVDs belong to Robert Taylor, so Robert is a nutcase.’

‘I agree,’ says Mack, so Professor Bowie walks to the door, opens the door, exits and shuts the door.

Still at the police station again, Tyler and Angelique are sitting on a bench as they wait for Peter, and Tyler asks Angelique, ‘Are you all right, Angelique?’

‘I’m fine, Tyler,’ replies Angelique. ‘But I felt a bit worried about talking to Robert in the police cell.’

‘Don’t worry, you’ll live,’ says Tyler.

‘Do you think I’ll be safe?’ asks Angelique.

‘Yes, Angelique, you will be,’ replies Tyler.

‘Well, maybe, we need more security for the secret room next time,’ says Angelique. ‘Maybe you and I will speak to Mr Pluck next time.’

  ‘Good idea,’ says Tyler.

Peter arrives at the reception desk after having a tour of the rooms of the police station and says to Tyler and Angelique, ‘Hi, Tyler. Hi, Angelique.’

‘Hi, Peter,’ says both Tyler and Angelique.

‘Sorry for taking so long. It’s because I have been having a good time touring the cop shop,’ says Peter.

‘Yeah, you gotta visit the police museum next time,’ says Tyler.

‘Sounds like a plan. Everybody including a group of school-children would like to visit police stations for a tour and they would like to learn about the police and their work,’ says Peter.

  ‘I know it,’ says Tyler.

Peter asks Angelique, ‘So, Angelique, how is your mother?’

‘She’s very well,’ says Angelique. ‘She’s better and alive.’

‘Good, I’m very glad,’ says Peter.

‘Okay, Angelique and Peter,’ says Tyler. ‘Let’s have a talk about what we are going to do when the police make the announcement to the public tomorrow about the DNA test and Robert Taylor.’

Peter walks to a bench, sits next to Tyler and Angelique, and asks Tyler, ‘What’s it going to be about?’

‘Well, the plan is to have someone disguised when Robert Taylor arrives in the spotlight,’ replies Tyler. ‘Angelique will use a veil to cover her face again and then when Robert arrives, she will put her hands on her eyes. You will dress up as one of the characters of Point Break, in which the surfers were robbing the banks and they’re wearing masks of the politicians, while I’ll dress up as Bruce Barry’s character from an old cop show which was on TV a long time ago, because I am a lookalike of Bruce Barry.’

‘Hang on, Tyler, what about Plan B?’ asks Peter.

‘The Plan B is to go to the Duke of York Hotel and watch the live telecast at the bar of Robert Taylor on the TV news,’ replies Tyler.

‘Is there going to be a media circus at the Duke of York Hotel?’

  asks Peter.

  ‘No,’ replies Tyler.

‘I don’t think the media would be showing any of the girls who work for the adult entertainment industry like me because these girls use stage names,’ says Angelique.

‘Stage names? What, why do they used false names?’ asks Peter.

‘To protect their true identities,’ replies Angelique.

  ‘Bugger!’ says Peter.

‘All right, that’s enough,’ says Tyler. ‘Let’s go and leave the police station and have lunch at the Boathouse Restaurant so I can think about what is the best plan to choose for tomorrow.’

‘What about talking to Mack?’ asks Peter.

‘Forget it, he’s busy. Let’s go. We’re gotta do other jobs including the wedding,’ replies Tyler.

‘Oh, all right,’ says Peter. So he, Tyler and Angelique stand up from the bench and leave the police station.

At the conference room of the police station, Inspector Mack Young, Professor Jerry Bowie, Detective Sergeant Nick Baxter, Constable Troy Williamson and Dr Airhardt are on stage and the rest of the policemen – both wearing plain-clothes and uniforms – are in the audience. Mack pours water from a jug into a glass which he is holding, drinks the glass of water, and puts both the empty glass and the jug of water on a small table. He addresses the rest of the policemen again and says to them, ‘Hello, gentlemen.’

‘Hello, Inspector,’ say all of the policemen.

‘We have some serious news,’ says Mack. ‘We found Robert Taylor from the security video footage which dates back to Friday March 12. He is six foot tall with black hair and solid build, and he was wearing the mysterious coat. He also was wearing a scruffy top and unwashed jeans. He is in his twenties, and according to Professor Jerry Bowie, the arsenal of weapons, a tiny bit of material, and a collection of videos and DVDs belong to Robert Taylor, it seems Robert is quite a nutter criminal.’

‘What about you, Inspector?’ asks one of the uniformed policemen.

‘Well, Constable Troy Williamson showed me a box which contained Robert Taylor’s writings, and Troy gave one of Robert’s writings-plans to me so I read it and I was shocked,’ replies Mack. ‘Robert’s plans include blowing up the police station at St Kilda Road, kidnapping and assaulting all of the prostitutes at Grundy Street in St Kilda, and possessing weapons and explosives to sell them to criminals from the underworld. These ideas were featured in his writings, and I also looked and read his diaries abo
ut what he did whilst hiding in St Kilda disguised himself as a mysterious person with a mysterious coat.’

‘What about other writings?’ asks a plain-clothed detective.

‘Good question, mate,’ replies Mack. ‘I also read his other writings, which is on lots of pieces of paper, and he went berserk collecting magazines, videos and DVDs and doing other things. Any questions?’ The group of policemen didn’t ask any more question to Mack, so he pauses and says to them, ‘All right, you may go back to your normal duties, and if you want to talk about the Robert Taylor case, come and see me.’

A group of policemen stand up from the chairs and leave, while Inspector Mack Young, Professor Jerry Bowie, Detective Sergeant Nick Baxter, Constable Troy Williamson and Dr Airhardt exit the conference room of the police station.

  CHAPTER 26

  A

t the Boardwalk Restaurant, Tyler, Angelique and Peter are having lunch. Tyler is having steak and salad, Angelique is having seafood and salad and Peter is also having steak and salad. They have chardonnay and red wine for drinks and when they take a break from eating, Tyler asks Angelique and Peter, ‘Can we have a talk?’

  ‘Yes,’ replies Angelique.

‘What do you want to talk about, Tyler?’ asks Peter.

‘I want to talk about Robert Taylor,’ replies Tyler.

  ‘Again?’ asks Peter.

‘Yes,’ replies Tyler. ‘Robert is going on trial. He will face a heap of charges. If he is found guilty for having an arsenal of weapons, he will be sentenced to jail for ten years. If he is also found guilty for attempting to take me hostage, he will be sentenced to jail also for ten years, but I’m not sure how many criminals are released earlier and commit crime again because I want them to stay in jail with no parole for doing murder, assault and rape.’

‘If Robert does go to jail, do we need security for the wedding?’ asks Angelique.

‘Well, Dr Airhardt will use his two assistants, Leo and Roy, to protect the wedding party and they will dress up as the drunken version of Teletubbies from the old sketch comedy TV show,’ replies Tyler.

‘Tyler, that’s for babies,’ says Peter. ‘For crying out loud, you can’t do kids’ stuff.’

‘Oh, come on, Peter, you must live in a child’s dream sometimes,’ says Tyler.

‘I’m an adult, Tyler, not a child,’ says Peter. ‘Christ, you can’t use crap stuff.’

  ‘Hey, Peter,’ says Angelique.

  ‘Yes, Angelique?’ says Peter.

‘Have you met my mother Margaret?’ asks Angelique.

‘No, Angelique, I haven’t met your mother before,’ replies Peter.

‘Well, why don’t you come with me and Tyler to the Alfred Hospital and meet my mother?’ says Angelique.

‘Does she need help?’ asks Peter.

‘Dr Chasey told my mother to exercise, eat healthy food and lose weight when he talked to her at the Alfred Hospital,’ replies Angelique.

‘Is your mother fat?’ asks Peter.

‘Yes, she’s overweight, not obese,’ replies Angelique. ‘It’s threatening her life.’

‘Don’t worry, I’ll bring a personal trainer to help your mother by taking her to the gym. Look at Tyler, he’s losing weight by going to the gym, playing tennis and swimming at the pool in the apartment block,’ says Peter. ‘He’s got a six-pack and I wonder which sheilas would like to check his muscles and abs out.’

‘Have you had a six-pack before?’ asks Angelique.

‘Well, sort of but I’m gonna try again,’ replies Peter. ‘Have you worked out before?’

  ‘Yes, I did,’ replies Angelique.

‘What did you do?’ asks Peter.

‘I was both working out at the gym and doing my pole dancing at home before I went to work because I now have a beautiful body,’ replies Angelique.

‘Wow, that’s great. Do you have a personal trainer?’ asks Peter.

  ‘No,’ replies Angelique.

  ‘Why not?’ asks Peter.

‘Because I like doing it by myself,’ replies Angelique.

‘Oh, bugger,’ says Peter, so he go back to eating his own lunch and Angelique asks Tyler, ‘Are you all right, Tyler?’

‘Yes, I’m fine,’ replies Tyler, so he and Angelique were go back to eating their lunch.

At the police station, Inspector Mack Young and Dr Airhardt start having a discussion about what Robert Taylor is going to do when he faces the public tomorrow. Mack says to Dr Airhardt, ‘I’m not sure what Robert Taylor is going to do tomorrow.’

‘Yes, it’s very hard,’ says Dr Airhardt. ‘That’s what other criminals do when they are arrested by the police for doing a crime such as robbery, assault, battery, murder and others.’

So what are my boys going to do tomorrow?’ asks Mack.

‘Well, you can ask them to put Robert Taylor in a restraint chair and tie him up, just like Hannibal Lecter,’ replies Dr Airhardt.

  ‘Good idea,’ says Mack.

‘And also, I’m not sure if Robert is going to be shy, because he’s got to face all the media monsters. I wonder if he’s going to put his hand over his eyes or cover his face,’ says Dr Airhardt.

‘That’s what other criminals do. It’s defiant,’ says Mack.

‘But, Inspector,’ says Dr Airhardt, ‘if Robert was coming to the public for the first time since his last arrest and charge, what is he going to do when he face the one-eyed monster – you know, the television?’

‘Oh, for God’s sake, Doctor!’ says Mack. ‘You can’t talk about this rubbish. That’s a long time ago, it’s old news.’

‘What about the others that you had a meeting with about Robert this morning?’ asks Dr Airhardt.

‘How about you go to Grundy Street and find out about Fifi, because I wonder what she is doing now after being stalked and assaulted by Robert?’ replies Mack.

  ‘Why?’ asks Dr Airhardt.

‘Because you’re a fighter,’ replies Mack. ‘You fight against nasty people and you keep them off the streets during the evening in St Kilda.’

‘What should I do now?’ asks Dr Airhardt.

‘I don’t know, this is tricky,’ replies Mack. ‘You go and find her.’

‘All right, Inspector,’ says Dr Airhardt. ‘I’ll see you later.’ He stands up from the chair and walks to the door and leaves Mack’s office.

In Grundy Street where prostitutes live and work, Dr Airhardt, has a piece of paper that says Fifi lived in Grundy Street before beingstalked and assaulted by Robert Taylor. He is not sure whether prostitutes are working in the same street, day, night or both and where they were, but he sees a house which is an illegal brothel where Fifi lived when she worked as a prostitute, looks at the piece of paper and says to himself, Hmmm, I’m not sure if this is the right place.

He walks to the house, walks to the front door of the house and sees a sign which says:

  Temptation Whorehouse

Ladies, Guys, Escorts, Massage, Sex, 24 Hours

  Safe Sex Welcome

He knocks on the door. A prostitute wearing a crop top, a short mini skirt, and a wicked smile opens the door and asks, ‘Yes?’

‘Hello, my name is Dr Airhardt. Is this the place where Fifi lives?’ says Dr Airhardt.

  ‘Yes,’ replies the prostitute.

‘I would like to talk about Fifi,’ says Dr Airhardt.

‘Why do you want to talk about her?’ asks the prostitute.

‘She was a prostitute,’ replies Dr Airhardt. ‘She was stalked and assaulted by Robert Taylor and has post-traumatic stress disorder and she quit her job as a prostitute. Is she here in this house?’

‘She’s not living here anymore,’ says the prostitute.

‘Why? Where is she now and what’s she doing?’ asks Dr Airhardt.

‘She’s having a battle against that disorder you told me about. She lives in South Melbourne, working as a maid in a hotel. She’s married and has a child,’ replies the prostitute.

  ‘What hotel does
she work at South Melbourne?’ asks Dr Airhardt.

‘The Paradeem Hotel,’ replies the prostitute.

‘What type is this hotel? Pub or accommodation?’ asks Dr Airhardt.

‘Sorry, I don’t know,’ replies the prostitute.

‘Oh, I don’t get it,’ says Dr Airhardt.

‘Would you like to come in for a tour?’ asks the prostitute with her sexy voice.

‘All right, I just want to search for information about Fifi and stop annoying me, you floozy!’ replies Dr Airhardt, so he enters. The prostitute shuts the door. When Dr Airhardt enters the lounge room. He sees the room has been turned into a fake beach. There is sand on the floor and two palm trees in between the couch. Another prostitute, who looks like Cassie, is wearing a tight black leather outfit and he thinks, Good heavens! This could be just like a tropical island. But the same prostitute stands up from the couch, walks to Dr Airhardt and asks him, ‘May I help you?’

‘Yes, my name is Dr Airhardt,’ replies Dr Airhardt. ‘Do you have any information about Fifi?’

‘I’ll check,’ replies this prostitute, so she walks away and goes to look to see if there is any information about Fifi.

Five minutes later, Dr Airhardt is still sitting on the couch and that prostitute brings private stuff that belonged to Fifi and gives it to him. ‘Here you go, Doctor, here’s the information about Fifi. It’s in the folder and it’s private because she’s got to protect her real name and security.’

‘Does she have security?’ asks Dr Airhardt.

‘Yes, by herself,’ replies that same prostitute. ‘Just take it.’

So Dr Airhardt stands up from the couch, takes the folder and says to her, ‘Thanks for nothing.’ But when he leaves the lounge room and he walks to the door, he can’t wait to get out of this place. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees a prostitute standing with her shoulder on the door and he asks her, ‘What do you want?’

‘Where do you think you’re going?’ asks the prostitute, still with the wicked smile.
