The Athlete Page 23

Her small hands on my cock had me leaning against the shower wall and groaning. She was thorough and after she rinsed the soap off, she leaned in and kissed her way from my lips down my chin, neck, chest, abs, navel, pelvis, and all the way down to the base of my cock. I just about lost it when she continued down and let a warm tongue lick my balls.

“Oh geez.” I didn’t want to blink and miss a second of what was happening in front of me. Emanuela squatted down with her hands flat against my hips while her lips opened and took one of my testicles inside her mouth.

  “Fuuuck.”

There was a look of satisfaction on her face when she wrapped her hand around my cock. “Is this what it means to have a man by his balls?” She winked.

I couldn’t respond or think. My heart was racing, with both my heads about to explode. All I could do was marvel when Emanuela licked from the base of my cock to the tip of it in one long, smooth, and sexy-as-hell motion. And then her mouth took me in and, bobbing her head back and forth, she sucked my cock in a slow rhythm of bliss.

I’d seen this in movies. I’d tried it with sex-bots, but to experience it with a woman whom I’d bantered with, laughed with, and slept with was something else entirely. It was like an act of complete acceptance. Like she was allowing the dirtiest part of me inside her. My legs felt like jelly when I realized how much she would have to like me to do this.

The water was flowing down her back as my hips began rocking back and forth. I was careful not to suffocate her because I wanted her to never stop. But the combination of the sight of her sweet lips around my cock and the sensation of her tongue swirling around my crown had me giving in after only a few minutes. I muttered out a warning a second or two before I cried out her name and came in the most explosive orgasm of my life.

When I opened my eyes again, Emanuela was still in a squat but she was rinsing her mouth and drying off her face.

  “I’m sorry. I didn’t have much control.”

She got up and smiled at me. “Did you like it?”

I hugged her tight and whispered into her ear. “I’ll never forget it for the rest of my life.”

After planting a soft kiss on my shoulder, she turned off the water. “We should get out of the shower. Water is a precious resource and shouldn’t be wasted.”

  “But what about you?”

“Me?” She switched to the drier function and raised her arms up.

“Ema, I’m not done with you.”

“Good, because once we’re back home and have protection there are a few things I’d like to try.”

“Oh, yeah? Like what?” I raised my arms up too, a smug smile growing on my lips to match her mischievous glance.

“I’m not going to tell you because if I do you’ll be turned on again and then we’ll never get out of this shower.”

“As long as you promise me we can have a lot of long showers when we get back.”

Emanuela backed up against one of the driers and used her fingers to comb her hair. “I’m not promising you anything. I told you, this doesn’t mean I’m going to marry you.”

Sliding my index finger down between her perky tits, I grinned. “But you might.”

  “Hunter.”

  “Emanuela.” I was still smiling.

  “Be realistic.”

“Who says I’m not? You’re falling in love with me just as I’m falling in love with you. Admit it.” I turned off the drier and followed her out of the shower.

“Even if that was true, I’m not interested in matrimony and all that. I’m not even sure what it entails exactly.”

  “But you’re thinking about it.”

She walked into our room, opened her bag, and pulled out fresh clothes. I picked up my own bag and began dressing too.

“All I know,” she began, “is that from the first day I met you, you’ve been driving me crazy, and it’s not always in a good way. I didn’t like it when I thought you liked Donna more than me and I just about threw up when I thought you were having sex with another woman at the sex club.” She spoke fast and her movements were abrupt when she put on her clothes without looking at me. “You confuse me, and if this is what it feels like to fall in love then I’m not sure I like it.”

I was calm when I walked over and caressed her hair. Her shoulders eased as she leaned into me. “I guess what I’m trying to say is that I like to be in control, and with you I’m never in control.”

I kissed the top of her head knowing exactly what she meant. “I guess you will just have to trust that I won’t hurt you.”

Emanuela’s voice trembled a bit when she looked deep into my eyes and answered me, “But what if I hurt you? I’m afraid that I can’t give you what you want.”

  I stiffened.

“Hunter, the last thing I want to do is hurt you. You know that, right?”

  I gave a stiff nod.

“I love living with you and maybe if all you wanted was to experiment with sex and have a deep friendship. I think I could do that.”

My throat was getting dry and I couldn’t find any words.

“I’m sorry.” She lifted her hand to my cheek. “Sorry if you don’t like what I’m telling you, but I’m trying to be honest here.”

“It’s fine.” I picked up a pair of socks and sat on the bed to put them on. It gave me an excuse not to look at her.

Emanuela sensed my sadness and came to sit beside me. “I want you to know that I feel privileged when I’m with you.”

“Why?” I bent down to put on my shoes.

“Because you keep most women at a distance. I know that you wouldn’t do this with just anyone and it makes me feel special.”

I sat back up and faced her. “You are special.” My hands lifted to cup her face and as I pressed my lips against hers I promised myself that I wouldn’t make the same mistake with Emanuela that I had made with Alice. This time I would be patient and give her time to fall in love before I asked her to marry me.

There was a knock on the door and it made her pull away.

“Come in.” I walked over and opened the door to find Mila outside.

“Willow and Solo are here. Finn already took the swabs from Magni and Solo and now he’s in the basement where his old laboratory is. People are gathering in the entertainment room waiting to hear the result. I thought you might like to come.”

“Of course.” Emanuela was already stepping into her shoes and gathering her hair in a ponytail. “I’ll bet you a pizza that Magni and Solo are related.”

“A whole pizza, really?” I chuckled as we left the room. “I didn’t know you were a high roller like that.”

  “What’s a high roller?”

“Someone like you who gambles big.”

“We don’t gamble. It’s against the law.”

I grinned. “Ahh, but isn’t that why we have Jonah? Let’s hope he can change the laws and bring back the fun to the Motherlands.”

  “You think gambling is fun?”

I gave Emanuela a playful grin. “I do when I’m winning.”

  CHAPTER 23

  Paternity Test

  Hunter

The large entertainment room was full of the same people we’d eaten breakfast with. The children were playing an interactive computer game that took them on an adventure through the jungle. Mason and Aubri were competing against each other, and both looked to be in deep concentration as they balanced on a square that moved according to the raft on the screen, which was going down a wild river.

Finn and Athena’s oldest son Frederick was cheering for Aubri and warned her when a large bird came from the sky, “Duck, Aubri, duck!”

“Don’t help her,” Mason protested and jumped as a crocodile snapped after him.

My sister and Solomon sat on a large sofa with their new puppies in their laps. Mila rushed over and kissed Samba and Blaze on their heads.

“I can’t believe you gave them puppies.” Laura’s eyebrows were drawn together. “Pets are family and adding them
to your family is a big decision.” She turned to Solomon and Willow. “Unless of course you had asked for puppies for your wedding.”

“No, I don’t think we did, but we already love them.”

“Still. You know how much work it takes to have puppies? It’s not for everyone.”

Mila bit her lip. “You just seemed to love Samba so much when you slept over, Willow. Remember how we talked about her swaying her hips when she walked and how she’s a dancer like you?”

“Don’t worry, Mila. We love both puppies and we couldn’t be happier.”

That seemed to calm Mila, who was smiling again.

Willow reached her arm up to hug me when I walked over to kiss her cheek. Solomon and I nodded at each other but there was no handshake or greeting.

Magni came in with Pearl, Khan, and Jonah. He stopped to stare at Solomon and Willow “Why the hell are you two out of bed already?”

Willow was quick to defend herself. “I wanted to spend some time with Hunter before he goes back to the Motherlands.”

Magni stood in a strong stance with his hands on his hips. “What don’t you two understand about a wedding night? Mila told me you were with your guests until the early morning.”

“That’s right. The last people left around five this morning.”

“Five? Why the fuck didn’t you kick them out sooner? The wedding started at noon. Who the hell stays more than seventeen hours?”

“It’s okay, we had a lot of fun.”

Magni’s right eyebrow arched up as he glared at Solo. “You call spending your wedding night with friends, fun?” His head turned to Laura. “Do you remember how long we spent at the wedding reception before we went to have fun?”

Laura grinned. “I would say less than an hour.”

“That’s different,” said Solomon. “Willow and I have already lived together for more than a month. We wanted to share that one night with our friends and family.”

“Huh!” Magni looked thoughtful. “Did you at least make them help clean up before they left?”

“Solo didn’t have to.” Willow smiled. “Around four o’clock this morning, Leo took it upon himself to order people around until everything was cleaned up.”

“Good.” Magni nodded with satisfaction and moved over to stand next to Laura. “Leo is a good man – I hope he will fight for Mila.”

“What about Finn?” Khan looked at his wristband. “When will he be back with the result?”

We all looked to Athena as if she had a telepathic connection to her husband and would know more than we did.

“I’m sure he’ll be here any minute now.” Athena sat with Linea on her lap. Her daughter was busy trailing her fingers over the tattoos on Athena’s forehead. Each was a symbol of her status as priestess in the Motherlands and represented a skill set connected to her work.

“Hunter, what did you get the couple?” Laura asked me.

“Nothing. My gift will come later.”

Willow gave me a smile. “You don’t have to give us anything, we’re just happy that you came.”

Laura had always been curious by nature and wouldn’t let it go. “What is it that will come later?”

  “Just a small thing.”

Tristan began laughing. “You always were modest, my friend.”

I shot him a warning glance, but Magni shoved at my shoulder. “What the hell, Hunter? I thought you soccer stars made piles of money. You could at least have given them something nice.”

“Do you even know what we gave them?” Laura was looking up at Magni.

His eyebrows drew close together. “No, but it was something nice, right?”

“We gave them a beautiful vase.”

Magni crossed his arms. “We did what? That’s a lame gift. Who the hell needs a vase?”

“People who enjoy flowers in their house.”

“Laura, make sure we get them something nicer than a vase. That’s a fucking joke.”

Solomon intertwined his fingers with Willow’s. “Relax, Magni. You gave us a set of swings for our garden. Laura said it’s for when we have kids.”

“We did?” Magni uncrossed his arms and was waiting for confirmation from Laura. When she chuckled and nodded, he squeezed her butt and whispered something into her ear that made her close her eyes and smile wider.

Tristan had his arm around Salma, who sat glued to him. “I didn’t mean that Hunter’s gift was modest, I meant that he’s modest for not speaking of it.”

  “What do you mean?”

“He put in an order with me for a new hybrid.”

  “Tristan.” I scowled at him.

Willow and Solomon exchanged a look of disbelief. “You’re giving us a new hybrid?”

“The one you have is old and I want to make sure my sister flies in something safe.”

“I’ve been saving for a new drone and now with the movie role we were planning to buy one.”

I gave a shrug. “It’s already ordered and paid for.”

They both gave me grateful smiles and Willow got up to hug me again. “Thank you so much.”

Behind us, Athena addressed Magni. “By the way, I wanted to ask you how you feel about Solo playing you.”

“You mean in that show about the integration between the Northlands and the Motherlands?”

“From what I understood, it’s a series, but yes. Willow just told us that they’re both playing a role in it.”

Solomon corrected Athena: “We’re thinking about it.”

Magni sighed. “I don’t know what to think about it but I sure as hell don’t want some Momsiboy to play me.”

“Dad!” Mila’s eyes bulged out as she nodded to Jonah.

Magni grunted. “Oh, Jonah won’t be offended. He knows I’m not talking about him. If he had a beard and put on a bit more muscles he could pass for a young Nman.”

“Does that mean you are happy that Solomon might play you?”

“Well, I suppose he has the physical strength and size to pull it off.”

“Not to mention I can make the fight scenes epic.”

“Right.” Magni gave a slow nod. “You are a phenomenal fighter like me, I will give you that. But I doubt that…” Magni paused and glanced in the direction of the children.

  “What?”

Magni lowered his voice. “It’s just that you young men aren’t as rough and ruthless as my generation. It’s an unfortunate side effect of you being schooled by Kya.”

Solo straightened in his seat. “What are you saying?”

“I’m saying that I doubt you’re the type of man to discipline your wife, and I read the script. There are certain scenes that show what happened when Laura returned from the Motherlands.” Magni lifted his hand and pointed it at Solo. “If you take that role, you’d better not make me look soft. Laura’s ass was red for a week.”

Willow widened her eyes and exchanged a glance with Solo. “I was going to play the role of Laura but now I’m not so sure.”

Laura shook her head. “Don’t worry, Willow. It’s a movie and they will have ways to make it look real. And just for the record, there’s no need for all you young people to look at me like that. It’s hardly a surprise to you that I like my man rough.” She lifted her hand and weaved in into Magni’s hair. “A good spanking can get your blood pumping really nicely.”

Solo looked stunned but then a grin grew on his mouth. “Is that right?” His head turned to Willow with a playful grin that made me step forward and growl.

“Don’t even think about hitting my sister or I’ll fucking castrate you.”

Everyone went quiet in the room, staring at me.

In a slow motion, Solo lifted both his palms in the air signaling peace, but I felt my chest tighten.

Laura took a step forward. “Hunter, do you remember that time when you were teenagers and Solomon got between me and Magni because he thought I was in danger?”

I shifted my focus to her, giving a nod.

  “Solomon is prot
ective of women, he always was.”

  “Except my sister almost died.”

Khan came over and placed an arm around my shoulder. “It’s time to let that go. It was a dark time, but your sister is happy now. Can’t you be happy for her?”

“You know what, Hunter?” We all turned our heads at the sound of Finn’s voice.

“How long have you been standing there?” Khan asked.

“Long enough to hear Laura confess to liking spankings and seeing Hunter shit a sheep.” Finn had a careless grin on his lips. “But here’s the thing, Hunter, you’ve got to learn how to take deep breaths when you get mad.” He stopped in front of me and lifted both his hands, pressing his thumb and index finger against each other on each hand. “Like this.” He closed his eyes and inhaled in a dramatic way. “Just inhale the good stuff and exhale the bullshit.”

I lowered my brow. “Thanks for the advice.”

Finn opened his eyes and slapped my shoulder. “You’re welcome. It looks simple but I promise it’s going to revolutionize your life.”

“So, what did the test say?” Magni asked with impatience.

  “What test?”

“Finn, this isn’t the time to act stupid. Tell us the fucking result.”

There it was again, the slightly amused expression on Finn’s face. “I will, but first I need you to answer me this. What do you want the result to be?”

Magni looked at Solomon for a second. Then he crossed his arms and leaned back on his heels. “I think he is my son.”

  “You think or you hope?”

“He’s a fine warrior and a good man.”

Finn grinned. “I think that’s the closest we will get to you confessing that you’re hoping that Solo is your son. And what about you, Solo? What are you hoping for?”

Solomon shrugged and looked at Willow before he answered, “I’ve always wanted a big family and I adore Mila, Laura, and the children.”

“Yeah, but what about Magni, are you hoping that he’s your dad?”

  “Yes and no.”

We all waited for him to elaborate.

“There was a time at the school when he would train me and I remember thinking that maybe…” Solo shifted in his seat. “But then after Willow and I ran away… I don’t know, he made my life a living hell.”
