Dennis went over to the bags. He opened them and took out everything he’d purchased, laying it out neatly on the floor.
Ragnon knelt down and picked up a pair of leggings. He held them up and chuckled lightly. “They’re so small.”
Dennis smiled. In Ragnon’s huge hands, the leggings looked absolutely tiny. We’re having a baby. Dennis was still surprised that they were actually having a baby, but in truth, he couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone other than Gogrek and Ragnon.
“I’m home!” Gogrek called out. “And I brought food.”
Dennis, Ragnon, and Bheilf joined Gogrek and Hokr in the kitchen. They all took a seat around the island. Gogrek opened the food containers, and the aroma, a mixture of spices, seeped out. Dennis’s stomach growled as he looked at the contents. Gogrek grabbed plates and utensils, and Ragnon helped to serve the food.
“Before we eat, I’d like to say a few words on this special occasion.” Bheilf grabbed his mug and lifted it up in the air. “When my sons were born, I was incredibly proud and honored to be able to raise them. And now, there is going to be another child born into the Vemm family. I’m so happy for you all. Congratulations, Gogrek, Ragnon, and Dennis.”
They all lifted their mugs and took a drink.
“Thank you, Bheilf,” Dennis said. It was really nice to hear such kind words.
Dennis picked up his utensil and started eating. As he glanced around, Dennis knew he was truly blessed to be part of this family.
Chapter Sixteen
A Few Weeks Later
Gogrek and Ragnon had changed since they found out that Dennis was carrying their young. The males treated Dennis as though he might break at any moment. Gogrek and Ragnon were still sharing a bed with Dennis, but they refused to do anything more than hold him.

“Are you ready for your appointment?” Gogrek asked.
“I’d like to go alone, if you don’t mind.”
Gogrek’s brows pinched together. “Are you sure?”
“You said that you wanted to remove all of Ragnon’s weapons today.”
“We want to store them at our father’s home.”
“You and Ragnon can do that while I’m at my appointment.”
“That’s a good idea,” Ragnon said, joining the conversation. “It would be better for the two of us to go above planet without Dennis.”
Gogrek’s eyes widened, as if he was having some sort of realization. “You’re right. Dennis shouldn’t be out in that heat.”
Dennis rolled his eyes heavenward. “You two have fun.” As the males turned to leave, Dennis said, “Can I have a kiss goodbye?”
Gogrek grinned. The male leaned down and gave Dennis a quick kiss on the lips before moving aside. Ragnon did the same. Only his lips lingered a fraction of a second longer. The two males went back to work, packing Ragnon’s weapons into large crates.
Dennis sighed as he walked past Ragnon’s bedroom. He left their home and went to the medical facility. When Dennis reached his destination, he took a seat and waited.
“Dennis Vemm,” Doctor Rhad Rhezir called out.
Dennis stood up and walked toward the male. Rhad escorted Dennis down a hallway to a private room.
When the door closed, the male asked, “How have you been feeling? Have there been any changes since your last visit?”
Dennis groaned. “I’ve never been so needy in my life.”
The doctor’s bony brows furrowed, as if he were confused.

“But they won’t touch me.”
“Would you like me to talk to them?”

“Can you tell me about the inoculations you received on Glecerus?”

Dennis thought back to when he first arrived on the planet of Glecerus. He was ushered off the Glecerian starship with the other humans and led into a room. After taking off all of his clothes, Dennis was scrubbed multiple times with different types of cleaning agents. He was then given a manicure, a pedicure, and had all of his body hair removed with some sort of magic wand. And then, he was given a series of inoculations and had a language translator implanted in his head.
“The first set of inoculations hurt really badly.”
“First set?” Rhad asked.
Dennis nodded. “The first Glecerian that groomed me needed to step away for some sort of emergency. So, they sent another groomer to finish preparing me. He was much gentler.”
“You were given a double dose,” he muttered.
Dennis shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe.”
“That’s the reason your hormone levels are so high.”
“So now you can just give another dose of inoculations to the other mates and they’ll get pregnant?”
“It would be nice if it were that easy,” Rhad said. “First, I need to contact Glecerus, and then, I need to test my theory.”
“I’m sure you’ll get a lot of eager volunteers.”
There were so many non-Noglion mates that were desperate to have children. Dennis knew that Rhad wouldn’t have any trouble convincing them to get another round of inoculations.
“Including my own mate,” Rhad told him.
“I didn’t realize you were mated.”
Rhad nodded. “My brother and I are mated to a human.”
Realization dawned. Now Dennis understood why Rhad knew so much about humans and Earth. It was also probably the reason that he had taken an active interest in Dennis’s condition. The doctor wanted to study the infertility issues closely so that he could help his own mate.
“Do you have any questions before we start taking samples and running tests?”
Dennis shook his head. He knew what was expected since the doctor had already run a series of tests. Once again, Dennis was prodded and poked, examined and scanned. The Noglion team of scientists came in and out of his exam room, each male performing a different test.
When they were finished, Rhad said, “I’ll see you next week for your appointment.”
Dennis nodded.
“In the meantime, if you need anything or if there are any changes that arise, come back to medical.”

Rhad escorted Dennis out of the exam room.

Dennis arched a brow in confusion.
“Just relax and let Ragnon and me take care of you, love.”
Dennis rolled his eyes heavenward, acting as if he were annoyed, but really, he liked being pampered. “Fine.”
Gogrek kissed Dennis once more before getting back to work.
Dennis watched Gogrek cover the stone walls with soft foam material. On Noglion, the males took baby-proofing to a whole new level. Everyone kept warning Dennis that Noglion young grew up fast and that they were mischievous by nature and often got injured, but Gogrek and Ragnon seemed to be forgetting that Dennis was human. There was a good possibility that their son would have some of his characteristics.
Dennis kicked up his feet and leaned his head back.
“Ragnon has a game later. Do you want to go and watch? It’s the last one of the season.”
Dennis lifted his head and asked, “Do you think we’ll be done wi
th the baby’s room in time?”
Gogrek chuckled. “Yeah, we should be done.”
“Then, yeah, I’d like to go and watch Ragnon.”
“He’ll be happy to see you there.”
Dennis yawned and closed his eyes. For the rest of the afternoon, Dennis dozed off and on while Gogrek finished the baby’s room. Sometime later, Dennis woke up to soft kisses.
“Mmm,” he moaned. Dennis lifted his arms over his head and stretched out his back. “Is it time to go?”
“Yeah.”
He opened his eyes and looked up. Gogrek held out his hand, and Dennis took it, allowing the male to pull him to his feet.
“Why don’t you go and freshen up? When you’re ready, we’ll head to the stadium.”
Dennis nodded. He waddled out of the baby’s room and down the hall toward his bedroom. Once in the suite, Dennis used the adjoining bathroom to get ready. As quickly as he could, which was admittedly quite slow, Dennis washed his face, brushed his teeth, and used the facilities. When he stepped out of the bathroom, Gogrek was there, waiting for him.
Dennis took Gogrek’s hand, and together, they left their home and headed to the stadium. Along the way, Noglion males stared openly at Dennis, and so did the other alien species. The attention was a bit overwhelming, but Dennis smiled and nodded at everyone in acknowledgment. Gogrek kept Dennis close, refusing to let anyone touch him. Dennis really appreciated the lengths his mate was willing to go for his comfort.
When they reached the entrance to the stadium, Dennis saw a familiar face in the crowd. “Eric,” he said.
To his surprise, Eric was also wearing clothes, although his bump wasn’t noticeable like Dennis’s. Dennis stepped out of Gogrek’s protective embrace and walked over to his friend.
“It’s so good to see you again.”
Eric smiled. “You look great. It seems Noglion agrees with you.”
Dennis wrapped his arms around Eric, hugging the other man. It had been months since he’d seen Eric, and truth be told, Dennis always wondered what had happened to his friend.
“I can’t believe you’re here.”
“I’m here to see the game.” Eric dropped his arms and took a step back. “These are my mates.” He gestured to the three huge males standing behind him. “You remember Gru and these are his brothers, Khaun and Finn.
