The Chimera Queen giggled softly with her hand over her mouth, her charming eyes sending him an electrifying and bewitching gaze.

In spite of Meng Lei’s tough nature, an electrifying sensation couldn’t help but come over his whole body.

“Do you have a feud with the Dragons?”

  Meng Lei was rather surprised.

“You have no idea at all, Meng Lei, my young friend!”

The Chimera Queen pursed her lips and explained, “We Chimeras were originally also part of the Dragons. However, due to our appearance, we were ultimately expelled by the Dragons and forced to move to Sunset Ranges, thereby forming a feud between the two of us.”

  “I see!”

Realization dawned upon Meng Lei, who then couldn’t help but ask, “Where’s Sunset Ranges?”

His question startled Ambrose a little. Then, she giggled femininely and replied, “Sunset Ranges is located at the Titan plateau. It’s at the borders between the Titan Empire and the Beast People Empire.”

  “Alright!”

Meng Lei nodded slightly. Then, he turned to the fourth half-deity and asked, “And who are you?”

“I am Nagaros, the Empress of the Dark Fairies!”

Without waiting for Thackeray, the fourth half-deity introduced herself.

She had long silver hair that cascaded like a waterfall. A blood-red crown adorned her head, and she wore a long robe the color of blackish blood and a blood-red dagger at her waist.

Her ears were sharp and pointed, and her facial features exquisite. Dressed in a black translucent organza dress, her voluptuous and graceful feminine body brimmed with an alternative seductiveness and teased the eye.

“The Empress of the Dark Fairies?”

Meng Lei was mildly astonished. He couldn’t help but take a few more looks at her. “So it’s the Empress of the Dark Fairies. I’ve heard a lot about you!”

“We Dark Fairies have lived underground for all the previous generations. Aside from those hypocritical Fairies of Nature, very few have ever heard of us.”

The Dark Fairy Empress sounded cold and aloof—evidently, she didn’t quite believe Meng Lei.

“I’ve heard about the Dark Fairies only because I’ve read about them in an ancient textbook!”

Meng Lei gave her a small smile, and then his gaze swept across the four half-deities one by one.

  A Golden Dragon-Lion!

  A Fallen Titan!

  The Chimera Queen!

  The Dark Fairy Empress!

“So, the reason for your sudden visits today is because all four of you wish to relieve me of my worries and troubles?” asked Meng Lei with a smile.

  “We’ll speak openly!”

The Fallen Titan said, “At our cultivation level, deification is a far and distant journey with no end in sight if we depend solely on ourselves for cultivation. In fact, you can even call it wishful thinking.

“Therefore, we need worshipers, we need to spread our faith, and we need to collect the power of faith. That way, perhaps we might have a chance at deification and become a supreme existence like that!”

Then, the Fallen Titan glared at Meng Lei and said, “Since you’ve taken down and occupied the vast Dragon God Empire, I hope you can set aside 1/5 of the territory for me to spread my faith.”

  “What about you?”

Meng Lei turned to the Chimera Queen.

“Sunset Ranges is barren and bitterly cold. Not only are we severely lacking in resources, but we are also located at the borders between the Titan Empire and the Beast People Empire, which has thrown us into great suffering because of the two empires’ warring.”

The Chimera Queen said softly, “Besides, we Chimeras were originally part of the Dragons. Returning to Dragon God Empire and taking back everything that belongs to us is the long-cherished wish of us, the Chimera clan!”

  “So?”

  Meng Lei chuckled.

“I hope that you can take pity on the Chimeras and hand over the Wood Dragon Kingdom, as well as the forests in the vicinity of the kingdom, to us, the Chimeras, so that we may use it as our new habitat.”

The Chimera Queen gazed at Meng Lei hopefully with her sensual eyes.

“The Wood Dragon Kingdom and the forests surrounding it roughly make up about 1/5 of Dragon God Empire’s territory, doesn’t it? Nice plan!”

With a soft laugh, Meng Lei then turned to the Dark Fairy Empress next. “I’m sure the great Empress likely is thinking the same thing, too?”

“A man’s wealth is his own ruin!”

The Dark Fairy Empress said in a cold and aloof voice, “Dragon God Empire is a piece of juicy meat. By right, everyone who catches sight of it should be entitled to a share of it!”

“All that catches sight of it should be entitled to a share?”

Meng Lei let out a soft chuckle.

“Leaving the underground world and establishing a Dark Fairy Empire has always been Nagaros’ long-cherished wish. To see the wish fulfilled, the Empress fears nothing!”

Thackeray, the Golden Dragon-Lion, was full of praises for her. Then, he said, “Meng Lei, my young friend, Dragon God Empire is a piece of juicy meat that all the half-deities in the continent are eying covetously. For the sake of the power of faith, they will resort to anything.

“Wolves in the shadows surround you while hungry tigers also linger at your door.

“Your current situation is extremely dire. A moment of carelessness would see you cleanly devoured by these starving half-deities!”

“So, all of you are here to help me out?”

Meng Lei’s lips corners quirked upward, seemingly amused.

“That’s right! We’re here to help you, of course. In fact, we’re willing to form an alliance with you!”

Thackeray, the Golden Dragon-Lion, said, “As long as the five of us form an alliance, we’ll be able to look out for one another and stand against those who invade us, thereby helping to safeguard Dragon God Empire!”

Meng Lei couldn’t help but laugh. “Such highfalutin talk. At the bottom of it all, aren’t you just trying to snatch a slice of the pie from me?”

Meng Lei turned to the other three and said, “If I do as you wish and give away 1/5 of Dragon God Empire’s territory to every half-deity who comes here to ask for it, even the enormous Dragon God Empire probably won’t be enough for all of you to split among yourselves, isn’t it?”

“Meng Lei, my young friend, in that case, you aren’t agreeable to it?” Thackeray’s brows drew together slightly.

“Of course, I’m not going to goddamn agree, you huge fool!”

Meng Lei suddenly broke into expletives. “I’ll tell you this—Dragon God Empire is mine! Don’t anyone dare think of taking away even an inch of the territory! Not even the heavenly gods!

“Whoever dares to reach out for it will have their hand chopped off by me!

“Whoever dares to eye and covet it will be freaking cleaved apart by me!

“If you want to steal my cake, then it’ll depend on whether your head is hard enough and whether your neck is tough enough!”

  “How audacious!!”

  “How impudent!”

  “How presumptuous!”

  “T-that’s...”

In the sky a short distance away, Thaniel suddenly stopped in his tracks and gazed at the five figures standing in the sky above the imperial palace, a look of shock coming over his features.

  “What’s wrong, Grandmaster?”

Thaniel currently had someone in his grasp. Dressed in golden robes with a crown on his head, it was the Fire Dragon King—Flit the 66th!

  “Four half-deities!”

Thaniel’s countenance was grave as he exclaimed, “Four half-deities have appeared above the imperial palace and are currently besieging Meng Lei!”

  “Four half-deities? Besieging Meng
Lei?”

Flit the 66th was overjoyed. “In that case, that renegade Meng Lei must be doomed? Haha, the Dragon God must be watching over us! He must be!”

“Are you that happy at the thought of his death?”

Thaniel let out an icy laugh.

  “Of course!”

A look of hatred came over Flit the 66th’s face as he spat, “That renegade shows no respect for those above him and has risen in revolt. Killing the emperor of us Dragons, slaughtering the Dragon half-deities, and bringing chaos to the Dragon society... His sins are deep and great, and his wicked deeds unforgivable!

“How I wish I could drink his blood, eat his flesh, sleep on his hide, slash him a million times, and sentence him to death through extreme torture to vent my anger! If he dies, I will surely drink for three days and three nights straight and hold national celebrations for half a year!”

“Drink for three days and three nights straight and hold national celebrations for half a year?”

Thaniel was livid. “If he dies, you’re the first one I’m going to kill!”

“Grandmaster, w-what do you mean by that?”

  ...

The four half-deities were furious. Roiling divine power emanated from them and rushed toward Meng Lei from all directions, attempting to suppress him.

  Boom!

The residual impact battered heavily against everyone’s chests like a heavy hammer.

It wasn’t that bad for Fred, but Hudders and the others were out of luck. They were flattened onto the ground right away!

At the sight, Puhaman quickly cast God’s Domain and shrouded everyone in it. Only then did Hudders and the others manage to struggle onto their feet.

“How terrifying! How absolutely terrifying! Is that what a deity is?”

Hudders and the others panted heavily as though they had just been to hell and back.

“Kid, since it seems like you want to do this the hard way. Don’t blame me for being ruthless and heartless!”

Thackeray snorted and said, “Once we kill you, we’ll monopolize your Dragon God Empire!”

“Human kid, you’re too full of yourself!”

The Fallen Titan’s voice boomed as he glared viciously at Meng Lei, black mist billowing and roiling around him.

“Since my young friend, Meng Lei, is so heartless, then don’t blame me if I don’t show you any consideration!”

The Chimera Queen spoke in a charming voice as a hologram of a gigantic monster hovered above her.

“No one can stop the Dark Fairies’ emergence!”

The Dark Fairy Empress’ countenance was fierce and cold as she gripped her dagger.

“These people that lead the life of a whore yet expect a monument to their chastity!”

Meng Lei scoffed, “So, you want to relieve me of my worries and troubles? Sure! Offer up your divine spirit origin energy and become my slaves. I’ll reluctantly accept it!”

  “You’re courting death!”

  “Cut the crap! Kill!”

The Dark Fairy Empress transformed into a cloud of black mist and instantly vanished from where she was. In less than 1/10,000th of a second, she had already charged all the way up to Meng Lei.

  “Die!!”

The blood-red dagger gleamed coldly as it slashed across Meng Lei’s throat at lightning-quick speed.

“You’re too slow, O great Empress!”

Meng Lei’s voice rang out from behind her. The Dark Fairy Empress looked over in horror, but all she could see was just an afterimage.

  “He’s so fast!”

Astounded, the Dark Fairy Empress quickly transformed into a cloud of black mist again, went along with the momentum, and flew out 100 meters to evade Meng Lei’s attack.

  “A transformation into dark elements?”

  Meng Lei was rather astonished.

“You don’t know about that, right?”

The giggling Chimera Queen said, “Little Sister Nagaros is a Dark-Elemental Fairy, which is one of the ten major Elemental Fairies. Elemental transformation is her Innate Special Ability!”

“A Dark-Elemental Fairy? Her Innate Special Ability?”

Meng Lei licked his lips as he commented, “That’s an outstanding ability. What a shame that it’ll be mine in a second!”

“System, how much does it cost to steal the Dark Fairy Empress’ Innate Special Ability with Brutal Plunder?”

“Ding! Dark-elemental transformation is an Innate Special Ability unique to the Dark-Elemental Fairies and belongs to the class of high-grade Innate Special Abilities. As the Dark Fairy Empress is a mid-level half-deity,” The system replied coldly, “The cost of stealing the Innate Special Ability Dark-Elemental Transformation is estimated at 100 Laws of Nature Origin Crystals.”

“100 Laws of Nature Origin Crystals? That’s really not cheap!” Meng Lei was secretly dumbfounded. However, he still instructed, “Steal it!”

  Whoosh!

His Wealth instantly shrank by 100 Laws of Nature Origin Crystals.

At the same time, the Dark Fairy Empress 100 meters away felt an inexplicable power coming over her.

She blanked out for a moment as if she had just lost something, yet she couldn’t pinpoint what exactly she had lost!

  Boom!

At practically the same time, Meng Lei saw an infinite amount of dark elements surging out of her and flowing into every part of his body like a tidal wave. They blended into his nerves, his bones, his skin, and every single cell in his body...

Meng Lei felt as if every cell, every inch of skin, and every single internal organ of his had soundlessly undergone some kind of change.

As if Lady Luck had smiled upon him and given him a Eureka moment, Meng Lei raised his right arm, which then transformed into a cloud of black mist—or to be more accurate, it had transformed into a cloud of pitch-black dark elements!

  “Dark-elemental transformation?!”

As a Dark-Elemental Fairy, the Dark Fairy Empress was naturally incredibly familiar with the Innate Special Ability. A look of abject shock came over her visage as she stared at Meng Lei’s right arm that had transformed into dark elements.

“Are you also a Dark-Elemental Fairy? No, that’s not right! You aren’t one! I don’t sense any aura that comes from a common origin from you!”

The Dark Fairy Empress shook her head hard. “How exactly did you manage to do that?”

“How did I manage to do it?”

Meng Lei examined his right arm. Then, he replied, “I guess I picked it up just by watching you!”

Picked it up just by watching me?

  “...”

The Dark Fairy Empress was close to breaking down while Thackeray and the other two half-deities’ countenances turned grave.

Disregarding how Meng Lei had actually mastered the Dark-Elemental Transformation, just the ability alone was already extremely monstrous!

The difficulty of killing Meng Lei hadn’t increased by just a simple notch or two!

“To think Meng Lei really does have an ability like that!”

Fred and Dirk Norway exchanged a look, both seeing the astoundment in each other’s eyes.

Previously, they hadn’t quite believed Meng Lei when he had told them that he had the ability to assimilate other bloodlines into himself. However, at this moment, they were convinced!

What was so unusual about assimilating bloodlines when he could even assimilate Innate Special Abilities such as elemental transformations?

“O great Empress, to thank you for your Innate Special Ability,” Meng Lei flicked his fingers and said, “I’ll leave your body in one piece!”

“It’s still unclear just who’s going to kill who!”

The Dark Fairy Empress said with a cold snort, “‘He’s faster than even me. Be careful, you guys!”

“I hate those quick-footed fellows the most. Jumping up and down like monkeys, they are just so irritating!”

The Fallen Titan broke into a slight frown.

; “Speed?”

Thackeray, the Golden Dragon-Lion, sneered contemptuously. “How dare he claim to be quick-footed in front of those from the Golden Dragon-Lion clan? He’s just making himself a laughingstock!

“Alright, I’ll show you what real speed is today!”

  Whoosh!

His contemptuous words were still echoing in the air when Thackeray vanished from where he was. By the time he reappeared, he was actually already strangely behind Meng Lei.

“It’s not a bad thing for youngsters to show off their abilities, but those who overdo it easily offend others, and showing off too much easily makes one fall!”

“Easily makes one fall?” Meng Lei let out a scornful laugh. “I’ll make you fall flat on your face right away!”

  “How presumptuous!”

With a cold snort, Thackeray’s right arm went smacking out forcefully. However, Meng Lei teleported and disappeared from sight right away!

  “He’s gone?”

  Disbelief filled Thackeray.

  “Hey, old fogey!”

Meng Lei’s voice rang out behind him. Then, his foot went flying out ruthlessly toward him!

  Bam!

  Thackeray was thrown out!

“Didn’t you want to show me a thing or two about real speed, old fogey?”

Meng Lei followed him around like his shadow. He appeared behind Thackeray again and kicked him on the butt again before vanishing again. When he reappeared, he was in front of Thackeray again!

“So, is this what your speed is like?”

Meng Lei let out a contemptuous laugh. Then, his fist went flying out and landed squarely on Thackeray’s abdomen!

  “Ugh!”

Thackeray let out a cry of pain, the blow almost causing him to throw up his dinner from the night before. He doubled over like a shrimp as the veins on his forehead bulged against the surface of his skin in extreme pain!

  “Eat sh*t, you old fogey!”

Meng Lei teleported behind Thackeray and sent a ruthless flying kick onto his butt.

By this point, they were already very close to the ground, and so, Thackeray was in for a tragedy!

His face was the first to land. It made intimate contact with the ground, smashing a humanoid-shaped hole into it and doing a true blue “falling flat on one’s face”!
