  "Why would I be mad?"

She moved close. "I'm definitely going to miss you. You can come visit?" She lifted up and kissed me. "I'm definitely going to miss those lips."

"There are a few things about you I’ll miss as well," I said, with a sly grin.

  "Oh yeah, like what?"

  "Well, you’re kind… You're loving… And…"

"And?" she asked, fishing for more compliments.

  "You’ve got a great ass."

"And?" she asked with a grin, still wanting more.

  "I don't think there's anything about you I won't miss," I said.

  "Good answer."

She gave me another passionate kiss. Then she took my hand and pulled me into the bedroom, determined to give me a taste of everything that I would be missing.

Incentive for me to come visit.

  A lot of incentive.

When the day finally came for Reagan to leave—and the movers had loaded the last box onto the truck—there were hugs, tears, kisses, and heartfelt promises.

We said our last goodbyes, and I soaked in her gorgeous face with my eyes. I tasted her lips one last time, then watched her hop into her car and drive away.

When she left, she took a piece of me.

I climbed on my bike and rode back to Diver Down and took a seat at the bar, looking deflated. I needed some aqua therapy. There was nothing like getting out on the water to forget about all my troubles.

  The only problem—I didn't have a boat.

I needed to remedy that situation.

I called JD after I ordered a burger. "I'm officially homeless. Reagan just left."

"And how does that make you feel?" JD asked, almost mocking me.

  "I don't need a therapy session, I need a place to live."

  "There's always my couch."

  "That's not a long-term solution."

"Well, I've been thinking about this. Since you’ve got a little cash now, and it looks like insurance is going to pay out a decent amount, I thought we might go in on something together? Pool our resources, get twice as much?"

I thought about it for a moment. "I don't know. That's kind of like getting married. You know how I feel about commitment."

"Relax. You’ve got more than enough Hollywood money to buy me out if you think I nag too much."

  I rolled my eyes.

"Besides. We could move up to a higher level of clientele. I'm thinking we go for supreme luxury. A party boat for the rich and famous. Plus, I think this photography thing might take off. I got a call from a bikini company that wants to do a shoot. So, we need to find something, ASAP!"

"What are you doing tomorrow?" I asked.

"You and I are going looking for a new boat," Jack said.

“Alright. That sounds like a deal. Did you get the Porsche back yet?"

"Hell no. They are waiting on a part from Germany. I'm looking at six weeks. Some proprietary motor for the door window. I’m thinking about selling it and getting another one. There's a guy in the body shop that made an offer. It's a little low, but I'm considering it. I might be able to squeeze a few extra dollars out of him." He paused. "They gave me a loaner, so I'll pick you up in the morning. Where are you staying tonight?"

"I don't know. I might crash on Madison's couch. I might go over to the Seven Seas."

  "Okay. Just let me know."

There was a moment of silence.

"How are you holding up?" JD asked.

  "I'm fine. Why wouldn’t I be fine?"

"I don't know. Seems like you kinda liked that girl."

"I'm totally fine. I promise. I’ll see you tomorrow." I hung up the phone as my eyes misted.

I pretended I had a lash in my eye and wiped the wetness away. I clenched my jaw, fighting back the lump in my throat. I had remained cool, but it finally hit me that Reagan was gone.

  My phone rang again.

This time it was Isabella. "You know the gentleman you asked me to find? Esteban Rivera? I don't have an exact location, but I do have an asset that saw him six weeks ago."

  My eyes perked up. "Where?"

  Author’s Note

Thanks for all the great reviews!

I’m curious to know if anyone tried to solve the ciphers? I had fun making the notes and drawing the suspect sketch. Let me know if you want more of that stuff.

I’ve got more adventures for Tyson and JD. Stay tuned.
