Fools Like Us Page 11

by B L Morticia

“Time to get up.” I whipped the covers off and stood, stretching my arms over my head. My body was sticky from our jerk off session last night, but I’d wait to shower until after the bed was delivered. I put my phone on the nightstand and begun pulling the sheets off the old mattress to start breaking down the bed. The delivery was set two hours from now, just enough time to clean up and grab my coffee.

As I placed the mattress against the wall, my cellphone vibrated. “Ugh.” I lifted it, noticing Mom’s number. “Hey Mom, I can’t talk long, is everything okay?”

“Yes, but… I… Courtney, Rory says you’ve got news to tell me?”

  “I…”

  Goddamn him.

Unfortunately, Rory and Mom were close. I wondered how much of my story he told her.

  “Courtney?”

“What did he say?” I sat on the box spring and glanced at my nails.

“He said something important happened in Vegas.”

  “And?”

“Nothing after that. What happened Courtney? Did you get in some kind of trouble?”

“No. Far from it. I got married.”

  Silence.

After this stunt, I’d be calling him with choice words. Why the hell would he say anything about what happened and not tell me?

“To who, Courtney? Was it the cop you’d been dating?”

“Goddess, no. I… um… well I met this older guy and, well, we hit it off and got married.”

“Courtney! You married someone for their money?” Mom raised her voice, sounding angry.

“No. I’m no gold digger.” I sighed and fell backwards. The box spring didn’t feel good against my back muscles, but neither did talking with Mother about something I wanted to tell her in person.

“Then why? Don’t tell me you fell in love with him.”

  “I…”

Wait until I talk to Rory!

“I’m falling for him, yes, but we’re not in love yet.”

“Why the hell would you marry him then?” Mom’s voice was still at a higher pitch.

Because of the spell he put on me.

  Shit.

  “Courtney.”

“Because I care for him, and he does me. We just clicked so fast and… we decided to get married.”

“Oh God, why on… is that something gay people do?”

I harrumphed and shook my head. “Straight people get married on a whim too. And again, I’m bisexual, not gay.”

“Oh, good grief, Courtney. How could you take advantage of an old man like that? Where are the morals, we taught you?”

In my mental garbage bin with the rest of it.

I sighed under my breath and balled my hand into a fist. “Mom, I care about this man. No one took advantage of anything.”

“Does he have a job, money?”

“He happens to be very well off, but that’s not why we’re together.”

“And just how old is he?”

  “Forty-seven.”

“Oh, my stars. My God, child. Your father won’t be pleased.”

“When is he ever?” I snarled.

“Watch your tongue, young man! I cannot believe the mess you got yourself into. Why can’t you be more responsible like Rory or even Curtis? Both are nice young men. Gabe too. Why must you go do something so drastic to make your point?”

“Drastic? Make a point? Ugh! Look.” I got up. “I gotta go. You can yell at me some more later, but I’ve got cleaning to do.”

  “Clean what?”

“My place. I… I left it a mess, so I’m straightening up.” I’d almost told her Chancellor was coming in, but I refrained.

“But Courtney, we need to talk…”

“There is no talking, Mom. I’m a happily married man. I’ll call you later. Bye.” I pressed the button and tossed it into the recliner near my closet.

Damn Rory would be hearing from me before the fucking day was out.

By the time I was done, the bed had been delivered and my place was spotless. I was tired as hell, but when Chancellor texted earlier, I promised to talk to him once I finished.

  “Hey sexy boy.”

“Hey.” I plopped on my new bed and blew my bangs from atop my forehead.

“How are you liking the bed?”

“Chancellor, it’s a Sleep Number. This ain’t cheap.”

“Don’t worry about how much it costs. I want it to be comfortable for you when I leave, and me when I visit.”

  “Your bed isn’t like this.”

“No, but I figured my baby boy who deals with the rigors of teaching should have something to relax in.”

I grinned at that. “I guess I need to get used to you spoiling me.”

“You do. Only the best for my baby boy. Now. Tell me what you did today?”

“I cleaned up and talked to my mom.”

  “Oh?”

“Yeah. She called me because Rory hinted our marriage.”

  “And what did she say?”

“She wasn’t happy. Her reaction wasn’t the least bit surprising. Rory knew that when he told her.”

“Wow. Your friend really has it in for you, hmm?”

“I wouldn’t say that. He just thinks I’m gonna fail at staying faithful.” I slapped my hand over my mouth.

Why the hell did I say that?

I supposed Chancellor should know what Rory thought, but I should’ve told him about Brad too.

  All in due time.

“Hmm. We’ll I gotta make sure you do. I can stay until Sunday evening, then fly out.”

“All right. Even the short amount of time is better than nothing.” I curled my legs under me and leaned back on the couch. “I miss you so much. Miss your smile, your kisses, everything.”

“Same here. If I wasn’t at the office now, I’d Facetime again so we could jerk off together.”

Hearing that, my cock jolted in my pants. “Oh Goddess, can we do it later?”

“We can, but after eight your time. That’s when I’ll be home.”

“Shit, I don’t think I can wait that long.”

“You have to. In fact, I don’t want you to touch yourself until we get together. Do you understand?”

“Fuck.” I shook my head, wondering could I hold on without breaking the rules.

“Courtney? No coming until I say so. Those orgasms belong to me.”

“Goddess, yes.” I hissed and closed my eyes, clawing the seat cushions. Those forceful words made my breaths quicken. My chest hurt, mouth dry from thinking of what my Daddy would do to me when he arrived. We’d do so much more than christen that mattress. I’d want him in every room of my apartment if possible.

“Yes? You understand they aren’t yours? They’re for my enjoyment, my pleasure. The same thing goes for mine. They belong to you.”

“Oh fuck, Chancellor. I’m so hard right now.” My cock pulsed in my lounging pants, aching to get out. Worse, I wasn’t wearing underwear, so the silk material dragging across the head of my dick made it damn near unbearable.

  “What did you call me?”

“Cha… fuck, Daddy. I’m sorry. I’m going to be good, okay? I promise.”

“You better be. Why don’t you text me a picture of your dick?”

When I yanked my pants down, my shaft popped out. “Shh…Daddy, I wanna come. Please, just once.”

“No. I wanna experience it with you. Now send me a picture.”

I whimpered and snapped the photo of my cock that was swollen purple and seeping pre-cum.

How would he find out I’d touched myself?

While pushing send with one hand, I grasped my dick in the other. I grit my teeth, feeling the pressure on my groin and the ache in my ass.

  Shit.

“Courtney? You better not be stroking yourself right now. You’re too quiet.”

I moved my hand and yanked my lounge pants up. “Daddy please. You won’t be here until tomorrow night.”

“And I’ll let you come tonight when I call, okay?
It looks delicious. I can’t wait to suck it down to the root while stretching you sweet hole with my fingers. Or even toys. I found some online that I’ll have sent to you.”

“Alllready… got some.” I said, clawing the sofa.

“No, I want them to be new ones that I like and can share. I don’t like the idea of you getting off on anyone else but me. Baby boy, are you…”

“No, Daddy. Honest, I’m not doing anything but talking to you.”

“Okay. And one more thing, when I get there, we’re going to get tested. Together. Not that I don’t trust you, but we should because I want you with nothing between us.”

The talk of that made my dick soften a bit. “I agree. We don’t want any surprises.”

“No we don’t. I can’t wait to see you baby.”

“Me neither. So after eight we’ll talk?”

“Yes. I want you in your new bed on the sheets, naked. Got it?”

“Yes, Sir.” I grinned and leaned back against the sofa cushions. Despite being horny as fuck, I knew the waiting would be well worth it. I’d always wanted to try holding my orgasm, and I suppose this was as good of a time as any.

“Good boy. I need to go. I’m meeting with my people now about this car. It’s a strange ass design and I’ve gotta make sure they understand.”

  “Okay, Daddy.”

  “Later babe.”

“Later, Daddy.” I kissed into the phone and waited for him to hang up. I placed the phone on the side of me and let my head fall back to stare at the ceiling.

“You won’t be faithful! You’ll cheat before the reunion!”

“Where are the morals I taught you? Your Dad won’t be pleased.”

“Ugh, shut up.” I punched the cushions, then closed my eyes to block out the negativity.

  I can do this!

I said it in my head repeatedly. When I opened my eyes, I lifted my had to the light to stare at the ring again.

“Goddess, Daddy.” I kissed my own finger, wishing there was still some residue from his mouth on my skin. I’d taken two showers since, so of course there wasn’t any left.

As I continued admiring the jewelry, my phone rang. I picked it up and glanced at the caller ID.

  Unknown.

My student loans and all other bills were on time, so I wondered who the hell would be contacting me? I pressed the button. “Hello?”

  “Courtney. Baby.”

  Shit.

Of course, Brad would phone me after I’d talked with my husband. “What the hell do you want?”

“You. I’m outside your building right now. Come open the door.” A smile sounded in his voice.

  What the fuck?

The minute Brad finished talking, my cock jolted in my pants. The traitorous fucker knew my ex liked to take good care of him.

  But Daddy was better.

“You might as well leave, Brad. We have nothing to say to each other.”

“Yes, we do, lover. I’m here to take you back. I know you went on a trip the last couple of weeks because the landlady told me.”

  Goddamn her.

She might as well be good friends with Rory.

“Look, Brad. Get the hell away from my building or I’ll call the local police.”

“What the…” Brad muttered curses under his breath. “Baby, you love me. You. Need. Me.”

“No, I don’t. Now go back to work and fight crime. I’m a married man now. Find another guy to obsess over! Goodbye!” I hung up and growled, wishing I could say that to his face.

But I knew me. In the state I was in, I would invite him inside to test out that new bed, meaning I’d be singing Mariah at Mildred’s in a couple of months.

  Chapter Thirteen

  Chancellor

Hanging up with Courtney was the hardest thing to do, but work called. We were going over Kao’s design, discussing who would be taking care of what task, and what amount of time we could do it in. While I wanted to finish quickly, I wouldn’t sacrifice quality to get to Carrollton. Each and every job put my company’s reputation on the line, so surely, I’d do whatever was necessary to make sure my client was happy.

As the conference went on, I tried my best not to allow my thoughts to drift to last night or today’s conversation with my baby boy. I’d been in a daze since he left yesterday, but I was determined not to let it interfere with my work.

Not to mention, I hadn’t told my employees about my marriage. If they caught me unfocused, they’d have plenty of questions. Usually, I was like an open book, sharing information with them willingly, but for some reason, I felt the need to keep this close to the chest. Eventually I’d tell them, but with Kao’s car being the main priority, it would stay under wraps.

  “Boss?”

Penelope, my receptionist and friend, peeked their head in.

  “Yeah?”

“May I come in a second? Wanted to ask you something.”

“Sure.” I closed Kao’s file and leaned back in my chair, watching them close the door. They appeared pensive or nervous, stuffing their hands in their jumpsuit before sitting down. Knowing they were gender non-conforming, I didn’t force them to wear skirts or even more business-like attire. I told them whatever they were comfortable in, and that worked for Penelope.

  “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I uh…” Penelope rubbed the back of their neck and eyed me. “Just um, kind of checking up on you.”

“I’m fine. Why do you ask?”

They dropped their head and shook it. “Because you’ve been a total space cadet the majority of the day.”

I grinned and sat up straight. I folded my hands on the desk. Penelope was a sweetheart, but I wasn’t ready to discuss my dilemma with them. “I’ve been doing some thinking.”

  “Yeah?”

“You’ve worked with me since the beginning, and… perhaps it’s time to find a new receptionist?”

Penelope smiled wide and rubbed their hands together. “And I’d go…”

“You can work on transmissions with Gary, or in the painting department with Al. Wherever you wanna go.” I waved my hand and flashed them a smile. Penelope had been a homeless teen, who spent most of their time around our old building. When Penelope shared their story, we ended up giving them a job, with the caveat they’d get their GED. They loved working on cars, but due to their lack of experience, we’d kept them answering phones and doing light accounting.

Now though, Penelope had gotten the GED as well as a mechanics certificate to work on automobiles. I’d seen them fill in for others if they couldn’t make it in, so I felt it time to reward them.

“Oh my…” They rose up and punched the air.

“It’s okay. Tarik isn’t here anymore. Feel free to swear if you want.”

“Fuck! Dammit, Chancellor, you’re like the best boss ever!” They leaned over the desk, practically strangling me with the hug. Penelope was a little wiry thing but looks could be deceiving. I’d seen them fight before since boxing was their other passion.

“Nah, I’m not. When would you like to start?”

“Oh fuck… I… as soon as you find a replacement. I’ll even help you get one if you want.”

“That would be great. In the meantime, I’ll probably call a temp agency, so you start. Where did you decide to go?”

“Man, shit!” Penelope hopped up and down, covering their mouth. “I gotta discuss it with my girl, but the minute I do, I’ll let you know.”

“Of course. Let me know soon, okay?”

“Yeah… God, thanks Chancellor. And um… whenever you feel like telling me what’s got you looking so distant, I’m here, kay?”

  “Kay. Later, kiddo.”

“Later.” Penelope pointed at me as they backed away. After opening the door, they basically skipped through, and closed it.

Amused by their strut, I laughed and opened the folder checking Kao Delorean/Benz plans again. My design was sound, but it wasn’t all that pretty. Perhaps if I gave it new angles,
or, something to make it sleeker, the ends more defined…

  Like Courtney’s.

“Fuck.” I gave my cock a tug and closed the folder again, figuring I wouldn’t be getting any work done. I’d already taken the first part of the week off, but with my husband on my mind, I couldn’t concentrate. We weren’t starting on the project until Tuesday, anyway, waiting on certain parts. Drifting off and looking like a cadet as Penelope put it wasn’t being productive.

“Shit.” I leaned back in my chair, then got up to peer out of my window. My factory wasn’t far from my home, but enough of a distance that required driving. Surrounded by hotels and a few acres of trees, quite a few major corporations made their homes here, including a subsidiary of the car manufacturer I previously worked for. It wasn’t on the strip, but still close if you wanted to get in on the action.

Just as I lost myself in the scenery, my phone pinged and vibrated on the desk. I turned to grab it and eyed the display. “Hello, this is Chancellor.”

“Hello this is Chancellor. Ever so proper, aye?”

I snorted and dropped in the chair, listening to my best friend and former co-CEO on the phone. “I see you’ve picked up the sheik’s British accent.”

“Will you stop calling him that? Okay, fine. I know that’s your love name for my prince, but don’t do it to his face.” Tarik griped.

“Fine. How the hell are you, man?”

“Good. Enjoying married life, prince life whatever. His parents are coming around slowly but surely.”

“Yeah? I know his father was ready to disown him when he brought you home.”

“I think they were still shell shocked about me being darker than they are.” Tarik laughed. “But they’re cool now. Bye the way, Moosha and I are ready to have babies.”

  “Really?”

“Yes. We’ve got a surrogate and everything. You’re gonna have to visit us at his parent’s house in Dubai.”

No question, I’d wanted to since the sheik ran Tarik out of the country. “I know. Perhaps at the end of the year? I’m taking a couple of months off.”
