The Junior Novel Page 9

by Calliope Glass

When Wednesday discovers a horrifying red balloon, she and her family decide to find out where this monstrosity came from.

After arriving in the Eastfield Estates, the Addams Family finds that everything in this strange town is extremely troubling. Everyone seems to be . . . happy.

While Gomez, Fester, and Pugsley continue to practice for the all-important Mazurka, Wednesday develops a strange fascination with this new town and her new friend, Parker.

As Wednesday spends more time with Parker, she beings to adopt some questionable fashion choices.

The night before Pugsley’s big Mazurka, Wednesday decides to run away. She tells Pugsley that she feels like the only way to be accepted in the Addams Family is to be exactly like them.

After a secret lair is revealed and an angry mob is welcomed, the townspeople and the Addamses first set aside their differences and then learn to embrace them.
